In this episode I discuss recent balance changes of weapons and wind speeds with ships. I agree changes are needed by Sea of Thieves continues to not address degrading server performance nor combat functionality and it is really showing. I also look at my thoughts on Season 13 and though in theory, the Burning Blade is a cool event, I think people will have a change of heart once it is out.

Though we don't have access to actual XBox stats on the player base, we do have insight into how many players have played Sea of Thieves. I dive into the XBox achievement data and take the numbers reported by Sea of Thieves's website and do the math to find out how many actual players there have been in Sea of Thieves vs how many accounts have just logged in 1 time. We also look at the Pirate's Life update, how many players have played through the new story. It is quite telling when you actually do the math. Pirates of the Caribbean is here! In this episode I want to look at the final e3 showcase video and then dive into what I felt was Rare's greatest success in this update.
