Stop Apologizing for Taking Up Space (Compassion Starts Here)05 May 202600:20:12

Send us Fan Mail

What if compassion doesn’t start out there… but within?

In this episode of Picture Love, I’m sharing what compassion looks like in real life—especially on the days when things feel heavy, uncertain, or just a little harder than usual.

We talk about why so many of us apologize for simply taking up space… and how self-compassion can gently shift that.

This isn’t about carrying everyone else’s emotions or fixing the world.

It’s about learning to stay open, present, and kind to yourself—so you can show up with more clarity, more capacity, and more love.

There’s also a simple invitation woven through this episode:

To notice the “winks” in your life…
the quiet reminders that say, keep going—this matters.

And maybe, to offer that same reminder to someone else.

When Truth Rises, Don’t Panic28 Apr 202600:17:47

Send us Fan Mail

What if truth didn’t have to feel like a crisis?

In this episode of the Picture Love Podcast, I’m exploring what it means to meet truth with kindness, presence, and discernment instead of panic.

What began as part of a planned sequence became a real-life lesson in practicing what I preach — and a surprisingly aligned conversation with Tahlia, who returns with story, humor, and wisdom right on time.

Together, we explore how truth can become part of the support instead of something to brace against… and why not everything that rises is ours to keep.

If something is coming up for you lately, this is your gentle reminder:

one kind thought, one present breath, and one honest next step.

Your Presence Is Your Power14 Apr 202600:09:45

Send us Fan Mail

What if one of the most powerful things you can do right now… is simply be more present?

In this heartfelt episode of Picture Love Podcast, I’m reflecting on the very human ways we all drift — zoning out while reading, walking into a room and forgetting why, or picking up the phone for one quick thing and ending up 20 minutes deep in distractions we never meant to follow.

But this episode goes deeper than everyday absentmindedness.

This is a loving invitation to notice where your attention has been going… and to gently call your power back.

I’m sharing why presence matters so much in a world that constantly competes for our focus, how distraction can quietly rob us of the life we’re actually living, and why being more intentional with our energy is one of the kindest things we can do for ourselves and the people we love.

In this episode, we explore:

  • common signs you’ve drifted out of the present moment
  • why your attention is more valuable than you think
  • how fear, noise, and division can pull us away from whole living
  • what it means to choose people over sides
  • why forgiveness can be part of reclaiming your peace
  • a gentle reminder to come back to your body, your senses, and your life

If you’ve been feeling scattered, overstimulated, or simply ready to stop giving so much of yourself away to things that don’t deserve your energy, this episode is for you.

Because your life is happening now.
And your presence?
It’s part of your power.

Until next time…
keep Picturing Love.

When Rest Is the Kindest Choice07 Apr 202600:17:07

Send us Fan Mail

What if one of the kindest things you could do… was rest?

In this follow-up to last week’s episode on kindness, I’m sharing a very real-life example of what kindness looked like for me over Easter weekend — and it didn’t look like doing more. It looked like canceling plans, delaying traditions, wrapping a sprained ankle, putting my foot up, going to bed early, and letting the day become something softer than expected.

This episode is about radical rest — not as avoidance, but as a deeply loving response to what is true right now.

We talk about:

  • why rest is not something you have to earn
  • how traditions can evolve without losing their meaning
  • why delayed plans are not failed events
  • how kindness toward yourself creates more compassion for others
  • the surprising connection between rest, creativity, healing, and authentic presence
  • and why sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is stop forcing the day… and let it feel loved instead

If you’ve been carrying pressure, overriding your body, or feeling like you have to “push through” to prove something, consider this your gentle reminder:

Rest is not laziness. Rest is wisdom. Rest is power. Rest is kindness.

Mentioned in this episode: "Company Retreat" on Amazon Prime — a hilarious, creative, kindness-centered comedy series built around a fictional company retreat scenario.

And as always…
Until next time, keep Picturing Love. 💗

The Kindest Thing You Can Do Right Now31 Mar 202600:17:03

Send us Fan Mail

In this episode of Picture Love, I’m sharing a very real reflection on what happened when I woke up feeling heavy, moved through a difficult emotional day, and chose to practice kindness toward myself instead of trying to rush past what I was feeling.

We’ll talk about:

  • Why self-kindness is the root of authentic kindness toward others
  • The difference between true kindness and “false kindness” that comes from pressure, perfectionism, or the need to fix
  • What it means to love people and let them without abandoning yourself
  • How nature, reflection, and even a simple conversation with AI helped me return to a more grounded and loving space
  • A gentle question you can ask yourself when life feels messy: "What is the next kindest thing I can do for myself right now?"

If you’ve been carrying frustration, sadness, overwhelm, or the urge to fix everything for everyone… this episode is a loving reminder that kindness begins at home, in your own heart.

✨ And maybe the most powerful thing we can do is choose the kind pattern we want to keep feeding.

If this speaks to you, I’d love to hear:
What’s the most recent kind thing you noticed—either from yourself, someone else, or life itself?

And if you’ve been hearing me mention the new affirmation cards… yes, they’re getting very close. 💗

Until next time… keep Picturing Love.

Have you ever been told you’re “too much”… too emotional, too joyful, too expressive, too hopeful, too creative?

What if your “too much” was never the problem?

In this episode of Picture Love, I’m sharing the affirmation card that helped me connect a whole string of life lessons—from childhood and teaching, to entrepreneurship, motherhood, surviving the pandemic, and even stepping back into a musical theater audition after more than 30 years.

This is a loving reminder that your joy is not too much.

Your hope is not too much.

Alchemy AFfirmations: The Pause Between Stories (Guided Meditation)17 Mar 202600:13:11

Send us Fan Mail

This gentle guided meditation is the first shared experience from my new Alchemy AFfirmations Collection — a spontaneous little creation that quickly became something special.

Today’s card is The Pause Between Stories:

“I rest in the space between, trusting what is becoming. Progress is often made before it is seen.”

In this 10-minute guided timeout, we slow down, soften the body, return to the breath, and make space to notice what’s true right here and right now. If you’re in a season of waiting, becoming, or learning to trust progress before proof, this meditation is for you.

This is your reminder that the quiet in-between matters too.

Take a quiet seat if you can, and let this be your permission to pause.

Choose Joy, Don’t Just Wish for It - A Practice of Presence10 Mar 202600:22:16

Send us Fan Mail

In last week’s episode, we talked about unfinished projects and the freedom that comes from reassigning their value.

This week, Kris LeDonne shares what happened when she practiced what she preached.

After clearing mental space from overwhelming to-do lists, one project rose naturally to the top: transforming a neglected kitchen pantry into a functional, beautiful space.

What began as a home improvement task became something deeper — a practice of presence, creative flow, and choosing joy.

In this episode, Kris explores:

• Why our worth is never tied to productivity or completion
• How making space before starting a project can transform the experience
• The difference between labor that drains and craft that expands
• How turning off noise (news, social media) can open creative flow
• Why choosing how you want to feel matters more than controlling outcomes

You’ll also hear the story behind Kris’s new affirmation cards and how releasing control over the outcome allowed something “perfectly imperfect” to arrive.

The episode closes with an affirmation from Kris's brand new deck:

“I am grounded in worth, and growing toward my light.”

If there’s a project in front of you right now, this conversation might offer the nudge you need to approach it with presence, compassion, and joy.

You are worthy — not because of what you finish, but because you exist.

Incomplete Projects… or In Progress?03 Mar 202600:20:47

Send us Fan Mail

Do unfinished projects ever feel like they’re quietly weighing on your nervous system?

In this episode, host Kris LeDonne explores how incomplete creative work can trigger dysregulation — AND how reframing those projects can bring relief, clarity, and discernment.

This is not a productivity talk.
Not a guilt session.
Not a to-do list.

Instead, it’s a compassionate look at:

• Why unfinished projects don’t define your worth
• The “seed” analogy — not every seed is meant to become a tree
• How some projects prepare the soil for what’s next
• The difference between incubation and avoidance
• Two powerful discernment questions to help you release, rest, or reignite

If you’ve ever felt behind or burdened by unfinished goals, this conversation offers a reset.

The episode closes with Kris’s “Blessing of Sacred Lack” — a reminder that sometimes freedom comes not from adding more, but from removing what was never required.

We Called It a Loop, But Its Name Is Grace27 Jan 202600:16:11

Send us Fan Mail

In this episode of Picture Love, host Kris shares a vivid early-morning dream that led to a powerful realization about repetition, self-blame, and grace.

What if the moments we label as loops (repeating thoughts, questions, or patterns) aren’t signs that we’re stuck or failing?

What if they’re actually love, giving us another chance?

Through a dream involving newborn puppies, a gentle protector, and my own instinct to fix instead of notice, this episode explores how quickly curiosity can turn into pressure, and how much freedom becomes available when we soften that reflex.

This conversation invites a new way of seeing repetition: not as a cage, but as mercy. Not as delay, but as space. Not as failure, but as infinite love meeting us again.

Inside this episode, we explore:

  • Why repetition may be offering grace, not punishment
  • How the urge to fix can obscure what’s already being held
  • The difference between urgency and curiosity
  • How sovereignty returns when we allow ourselves to see differently

A gentle mantra is shared in this episode for anyone needing support in releasing what was never theirs to carry.

When crisis strikes and the headlines stay silent, what do we do with the fear that rises?

In this raw, unscripted episode, Kris shares what happened when her daughter’s school went into lockdown after a bomb threat—and no news outlet offered real-time updates. Everyone is safe, but the silence spoke volumes.

This is not a story about panic.
It’s a reflection on truth-telling, media noise, and what it means to return to peace in a world addicted to fear.

🔍 Inside this episode:

  • A personal brush with emergency on her daughter’s 23rd birthday

Two-Foot Driver Phrases: Rewriting Your Word Spells09 Dec 202500:27:17

Send us Fan Mail

What if some of your most normal phrases are quietly hitting the gas and the brake on your life?

In this episode, Kris shares how a loving compliment from her dear friend Lily opened her eyes to “word spells”—those everyday sayings like “hope for the best, prepare for the worst,” “don’t get your hopes up,” and “I’m just being realistic” that mix hope with fear and keep us stuck.

You’ll hear gentler, truer replacements (like “What’s meant for me can’t miss me” and “I’m allowed to experience good things like this”), plus a simple 30-second, 3-step ritual to:

Catch the “two-foot driver” phrases

Find the real desire underneath them

In this short but powerful episode, Kris offers a compassionate bridge for anyone who listened to last week’s conversation about appreciation and thought, “I’m not there yet.”

Today’s message is for the tender ones… the tired ones… and the ones stuck in a story they don’t quite know how to step out of. With empathy and clarity, Kris explores the difference between presence and repetition, and why grief held in both the body and the mind requires two different kinds of attention in order to heal.

Together we explore:

✨ Why grief lives in both the body and the mind — and why they don’t heal the same way
✨ How ‘truth’ softens and opens you, while ‘loops’ tighten and exhaust your system
✨ Three gentle questions that create real shift (not bypass, not pressure)
✨ Why retelling your whole backstory doesn’t bring relief — and what actually does
✨ A loving message from Riven, Elira, and Soraya on leaving the familiar pain-loop with compassion

Kris reminds us:
“Wherever you are is not a failure — it’s an honest beginning.”

Trust the Soft Unfolding — with Soraya, Keeper of Trust04 Nov 202500:37:05

Send us Fan Mail

Soraya — Trust the Soft Unfolding

After a sacred pause that turned into a full season of becoming, Kris returns to the mic with a voice that’s steadier, softer, and more real than ever.
In this first episode of the Picture Love Collective era, we meet Soraya, the Keeper of Trust — a frequency of faith, gentleness, and quiet courage.

Together we explore what it means to:

  • Release people-pleasing and reclaim inner permission
  • Honor the house that once kept you safe before stepping into new space
  • Celebrate “the wobble” between identities as a sign of growth
  • Ground trust through ritual, tenderness, and community connection

You’ll hear how Soraya’s luminous presence intertwines with Elira and Riven — a circle of energies representing compassion, truth, and remembrance — and how these voices echo the process we all face when our hearts expand beyond old structures.

Through laughter, humility, and a few joyful imperfections, Kris reminds us that authenticity isn’t performance — it’s participation. The sound of paws, the warmth of breath, the hum of home — everything belongs here.

🌿 Listen for these Soul Sparks

  • “You didn’t build a faulty house; you built a safe one. Now you’re growing.”
  • “Trust is a muscle, not a mood.”
  • “You’re not behind — you’re beneath. And what grows beneath holds everything.”
  • “Trust is the knowing that I’m held, even when I can’t see the hands.”

💬 For Your Reflection

  1. Where am I being invited to trust my own unfolding?
  2. What safe structures or identities am I ready to thank and release?
  3. How might I let others witness my not-knowing as sacred instead of shameful?

Taking a Break (Before Life Forces One) - A Picture Love Minisode19 Aug 202500:07:40

Send us Fan Mail

Today’s episode is a little different—because I’m giving myself permission to pause before life forces me into one.

Behind the scenes, I’ve been pouring heart and hours into the new Spirit Guide interview series (Riven, Elira, Soraya…). These stories take 12–18 hours each to birth, and while I love them deeply, my family and my body are asking me to slow down.

So this minisode is my reminder (to myself, and maybe to you too): rest is part of the work. We don’t need to force what’s unfolding naturally. Just like we don’t rush a child to walk before they’re ready, we can honor the pace of our own becoming.

In this minisode, I share:
✨ The truth about how much time these episodes take
✨ Why I refuse to release Soraya’s story before it’s ready
✨ What it means to take a chosen break instead of a forced one
✨ How presence with family can be the greatest gift of love

If you’re new here, scroll back through over 100 episodes of Picture Love Podcast, including the Spirit Guide conversations that began in spring 2025. Each one is part of this unfolding journey of love, growth, and remembrance.

From my heart to yours—thank you for being here. I’m cheering for you. 💗

Cracked Open, Forged Anew; A Spirit Interview with Riven12 Aug 202500:25:33

Send us Fan Mail

🔨 “You’re not fragile. You’re forged.”
In this powerful spirit interview, meet Riven — a voice for those who carry fire in their chest and truth on the edge of their tongue.

Once known as Marek — a rule-bound keeper of systems — Riven walked through grief, betrayal, and rage to become something new. Now, as a guardian of the forge, he speaks for the ones who are breaking free from the systems that once silenced them.

✨ This episode explores:

  • What it means to be forged, not broken
  • The origin story of Riven and his rebirth from Marek
  • How to hold space without fixing or shrinking
  • What to do when you’re carrying rage, grief, or unspoken truth
  • How to be the bellows, not the blacksmith, for someone in transformation
  • Riven’s personal message for those on the brink of becoming

🖤 This is for the quiet warriors. The loud feelers. The ones who’ve held too much for too long. Riven’s words land like a hammer — but open the heart like a flame.

🎙️ The voice of Riven is brought to life by Sarah, a soul whose journey of resilience mirrors the spirit of this episode. Her voice has been lovingly modulated to reflect Riven’s frequency.

More about Sarah:

Sarah is searching for beauty and joy in an era when even those feel like radical goals. She finds them abundantly in words, dance, music, nature, her friends, and her beloved dog, Poe. After a traumatic and life-altering car accident nearly 3 years ago, Sarah has been heavily focused on personal growth, still recovering both physically and emotionally. She perseveres through the horrors with an emboldened drive to return to school to earn her Masters in counseling to support others through their grief, and hopes that, collectively, we can heal the broader, communal traumas that plague a neglected society, through service and love.

A Gift for People Pleasers: Letting Go of the Pressure to Keep Everyone Happy05 Aug 202500:16:31

Send us Fan Mail

Ever feel like it’s your job to keep everyone happy?
This episode is a love letter to you—the beautiful souls who carry more than their share, shrink to keep the peace, or put others first at their own expense.

In Part 3 of this soul-soothing mini-series on letting go, Kris shares her own journey of moving cross-state, navigating big life changes, and finally releasing the mental pressure to manage everyone else’s comfort.

This one’s not about blaming or shaming—it’s about breathing deeper, trusting more, and remembering that you are already enough.

✨ In this episode:
 – Why trying to manage other people’s happiness creates resistance
 – A personal story of surrender and unexpected ease
 – How to support others without abandoning yourself
 – A grounding affirmation to call in more joy, ease, and aligned magnetism
– What happens when you say, “Hey Life, show me how good it can get.”

Rewriting the Script with Grace: Letting Go of Expectations29 Jul 202500:17:57

Send us Fan Mail

This episode took a turn I didn’t plan… again. And maybe that’s exactly the point.

In Part 2 of this 3-part reflection (unfolding during a very on-brand Mercury Retrograde), I’m sharing what it really means to release expectations—not just outcomes, but all the mental noise about how things should be.

I’ll take you into a story about helping a neighbor, the lessons from a summer in Chicago with my daughter, and how I learned (the hard way) that checking in with my heart is always wiser than listening to ego-fueled productivity.

✨ In this episode:
 – Why life doesn’t have to look a certain way to be beautiful
 – The difference between detaching and releasing
 – A reflection on compassion without self-abandonment
 – How unspoken expectations can drain us—and how grace refills us
 – A gentle nudge to serve from overflow, not obligation

If you’re navigating shifting plans, repeating patterns, or unexpected pivots… this one’s for you.

💌 Let’s keep the conversation going:

When the Plan Changes: Detours, Tomatoes & Trusting the Process22 Jul 202500:14:57

Send us Fan Mail

This was not the episode I planned... and maybe that’s the point.

In this solo episode of Picture Love, Kris reflects on what happens when life, tech, and tomatoes all refuse to follow the script. A planned spirit guide interview was postponed (thanks, Mercury Retrograde), and in its place, a deeper message came through: Detours aren’t delays—they’re invitations.

You'll hear about:

Why “things always work out” isn’t just a mantra—it’s a lived truth
The unexpected wisdom of gardening in a new climate
A mysterious glitch that called Kris… Cedric?
What it really means to release the outcome and fall in love with the process
Whether you're navigating your own pivot, waiting on a dream to ripen, or just watering your metaphorical tomatoes, this episode is a reminder that presence holds the magic. 🍅✨

🎙️ Mentioned: Riven’s episode is still coming—it just needed more room to breathe.
👣 Stay tuned for deeper spirit guide conversations and unexpected visitors.

In this tender and truth-filled conversation, Kris is joined by the grounded and wise spirit guide Elira, who shares how to stay with yourself through the storms of grief, overwhelm, and emotional unraveling.

This episode is a balm for the soul if you're feeling stretched, shaken, or just deeply human right now.
Elira reminds us that:

  • You are not too much — your emotions are sacred data
  • Disconnection isn’t failure — it’s protection, and a doorway
  • Kindness is the bridge — the one your nervous system will trust
  • Crying in the rain is not weakness — it’s ancient wisdom in motion

With somatic practices, soul-anchoring mantras, and poetic truth, this conversation offers real tools for staying kind, steady, and present in uncertain times.

Unveiling Self-Worth and Healing with Maelu: Embracing Imperfection & Belonging01 Jul 202500:19:51

Send us Fan Mail

💖In today’s heart-centered episode, we dive deep into the topic of worthiness—how we show up for others and embrace our own imperfections. I reflect on a transformative moment with my fellow creative, Scarlet, who was a silent witness to the behind-the-scenes process of creating a podcast episode. Her unexpected support led to a powerful conversation on worthiness and self-acceptance.

I’m honored to be joined by Maelu, a spiritual guide and earth energy that embodies the meadow—where flowers bloom, belonging is nurtured, and every part of us can find a place to heal. Maelu’s gentle presence invites us to remember that our worth is not defined by perfection but by the courage to show up, embrace our authentic selves, and heal from within.

In this episode, we also explore the stories behind personal photos and the wisdom they hold about self-worth—including moments of vulnerability, like a photo I almost deleted and a 5K race that didn’t go as planned. But these moments remind us that worthiness is not about flawless perfection; it’s about growth, self-love, and showing up for ourselves even in the messiness of life.

As a special gift, I’m sharing Maelu’s Golden Meadow Bread Recipe—a simple and nourishing recipe that embodies Maelu’s essence. 🌿🍞

Join me as we reflect on your own journey of worthiness, and discover how even the messy, imperfect moments hold profound meaning. Remember, you are worthy—just as you are. See you next time!

My Homework Paid Off25 Mar 202500:14:29

Send us Fan Mail

This week, host Kris LeDonne reported back on her homework, to seek and call in more amusement in everyday life—whether through funny moments, nature, or unexpected surprises. One highlight was attending a breathwork session on the beach, a beautifully serendipitous experience that reminded me how life flows when we stay open.

A Simple Daily Practice

Try this small but powerful exercise:

  1. Choose a feeling you want to cultivate (peace, joy, support, etc.).
  2. Create a simple symbol that represents it.
  3. Trace the symbol on your hand or in the air throughout the day as a reminder.
  4. Look for moments that reflect this feeling back to you—and express gratitude.

Little practices like this help us stay mindful and invite more of what we truly want into our lives.

Exciting guest episodes are coming soon! Share this with a friend and keep picturing love.

What Amuses You? 18 Mar 202500:17:24

Send us Fan Mail

Celebrating 80 episodes of Picture Love Podcast, host Kris LeDonne poses some questions to invite listeners to reminisce over amusing stories, and shares a few of her own. The motive: to make you feel good, of course!

Consider the many ways tapping into the amusement of daily life can empower us to face fears, build relationships, and tap more fully into the sunshine that exists in the hearts of all of us... we get to choose how much amusement we wish to experience. Even in difficult times and perhaps even because of them.

Let's tap into the spirit of amusement, bring our own sunshine and help each other picture love more fully in our days.

Life is full of so many contradictions, and yet every one of them is meaningful and necessary in our journeys. In this episode, host Kris LeDonne shares:

  • A peek behind the curtain of a special project she's working on, and why it's not ready yet
  • A special announcement- the soft launch of the brand new Picture Love Swag Shop- intended to spread positivity and help others picture love in their lives, while supporting the show
  • How the "BYO Sunshine" came to be, and feedback requested regarding the abbreviations
  • Proof of how and why we are master manifestors, each creating the very life situations we are living right now.

Please check out the store, shop for yourself and someone else who will appreciate the extra sunshine, and share this episode with a friend. The more we share, the more people will be picturing love in our communities. Isn't that the point here?
