Nate Wongkitcharoen photography to escape and as a passion, being in the moment and using Leica cameras

Originally from Thaliand, Nate lives currently in Brisbane, Australia. He discovered photography as a way to escape the routine and access intimate moments of mindfulness. From his discovery of manual Leica cameras to more recent fully automated ones, he talks about his experience of the process he focuses on.

This week we have an experimental dialogue with artificial intelligence. I have had these dialogues for many months regarding the series of vodcasts named AI's Hit, trying to understand how far AI was in understanding the style of famous photographers. Here, Lingua Chatgpt (Chat GPT chose her name) gets into a dialogue where we are trying to understand what photography is for her. And says she feels close to Henri Cartier Bresson.

Second part:

We advance in the podcast project about inspiration / storytelling / taking pictures where since last week, I've started building the project towards a certain still pretty abstract idea.

She is a professional musician, plays and teaches with a special place for the Cello, sings and is passionate about the creative process.

Francesco has a human-centric approach to photography, and his creative work and research in photography digs into the codes and meanings of identity. He also teaches communication / photography at Webster University.

Silvia Schwarte - exploring styles and approaches through 2 and 3-dimensional photographs

Being a pharmacist and public health specialist by profession, over the last decade, Silvia has been increasingly following her passion for photography.

In this dialogue, she talks about her creative journey and how she views her artwork.Applying a range of styles, experimenting with different shooting and printing techniques, she also explains what inspired her to move away from the traditional flat paper-print photos to the creation of 3-dimensional mixed-media objects.

Tania Kaaz - mesmerizing with film photography and getting in touch with deeper details of reality 

Tania discovered the magic of analog photography as a child. Capturing light in that way empowered her not only to be more mindful of her surroundings but also a way to share the finer details that most would have missed.

She discusses how she captures moments that would otherwise disappear for ever, and how her use of chemical processes where she soaks films in diverse substrates add a certain magic to the images of these moments.

How film represents something one can readily touch, to the opposite of a digital negative, and how in that sense it fully embraces its reality. She explains how her creative process generates beauty not only through the chemical transformation of the negatives but also simply because of the magic of the process as a whole.

Stefania Rosini - the magic of movies and photography, from Tuscany to movies sets in Hollywood

In this dialogue she talks about her passion for photography and how it revealed itself first in the darkroom but evolved with the magic of capturing light.

From her internship in the archives of a press agency, experimenting the passage between analog to digital photography, her love of music through photos of live musicians got her her first live venues assignments.

She talks about her approach to ‘capturing the soul’ by means of her art, a tangible mean to keep a trace of people or moments we love, and the fascination capturing that moment you will never be able to reproduce.

Andrej Vasilenko - capturing reality, photography as a natural extension to represent objectivity

Andrej is a documentary photographer from Vilnius, Lithuania, the city which he made the focus of his first book, a wide-ranging subtle portrait of his hometown. He also works as a photo-reporter in various publications including the New York Times and Rest Of World magazine.

His style offers often a cinematic view of the details of reality, as he tries to convey the richness of individuals and the situations he captures in visual captures that opens up the mind to other stories and senses.

In this dialogue, he talks about how he naturally chose photography, or how photography chose him, and how he sees his current approach to the time and subjects. He talks about how he maintains his style without compromising the objective truth underneath, trying to stick to what his subjects are, closer to their true self.

Jevgenija Frolova - human beauty, reality, and discovering each others emotions through photography

Jevgenija is a professional violist that embraced analog photography as a mean to herself become a composer.

In this dialogue she will discuss how her inspiration might come from the music but will express in pictures and how from the images in her mind and her own personal experiences she will interact with the models essential in the crafting of her art.

She talks about the journey inside oneself observing the beauty of all human beings and how she works with their unique stories. This is also how her interest in people fuels her creativity and how sharing each others individualities opened her energies to start that creative process.

How the process is a lead to being in the moment yourself, a link to the inner world of your emotions, by means of the analog photography process.

Beate Groetsch - storytelling with colors, sharing memories and emotions to reveal the senses.  

Beate is a German photographer, director and scriptwriter. She was present at PhotoSchweiz early this year to showcase her work : "Burning down childhood finding light" - https://www.photo-schweiz.ch/aussteller/p/beate-grtsch .

A dialogue about the story she tells with her work on colors, and how underwater lights in a pond transcend and serve to tell of the feelings related to personal stories.   

How creating pictures through photography can differ from the moving image, but also how organic and fundamental that process can be. And how photography can be part of a healing process, a means to go deeper in ones' self.  

She tells us about the importance of colors in her future projects, and how she is exploring the physical embodiment experience they can provide.
