Embiid tweaked his repaired left knee late in the second quarter, returned after halftime but didn’t appear to be the same when he returned. The big fella finished with 29 points, Tyrese Maxey led all scorers with 33.

Even without the services of Joel Embiid, who missed Sunday’s regular season finale as a precautionary measure to manage his left knee, the Philadelphia 76ers were still able to easily dispatch of the Brooklyn Nets. The Philadelphia 76ers drop a tough one to James Harden and the LA Clippers in the final seconds of the game, falling 108-107. With five seconds to play, Kelly Oubre drove to the basket after the Sixers gained control off a jump ball, but Oubre was unable to convert as Paul George contested at the rim to prevent the basket. Thanks to Philadelphia’s win over the Miami Heat, along with the Indiana Pacers falling to the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Sixers (38-30) have momentarily jumped back into 6th place in the Eastern Conference, and out of the play-in tournament for now.

In addition to Maxey’s dominant 30-point, 10-assist performance, the Sixers also received strong play from Kelly Oubre Jr (22 points, 11 rebounds) and Kyle Lowry (16 points), chipping in with one of the better all-around team performances since Joel Embiid went down.
