Christof Koch is a hugely influential figure in the science of consciousness. I was somewhat taken aback at a recent conference when Christof spoke of the recent mystical experience that has changed his life. I couldn’t resist having a chat with Christof about his experience and how it’s impacted him. It was a great conversation, and I’d love to hear people’s thoughts on it.

Alex O'Connor and I have the same view on consciousness (we think it's fundamental) but we radically disagree on whether morality is objective. Here I try to convince Alex that either he joins me in thinking morality is objective, or he gives up his view that consciousness is fundamental. He can't have it both ways!! AM I RIGHT??
