Shimon agrees and gives his price, to which Reuven was agreeable. Within the hour Shimon re-evaluated and decided that he had undercharged. He immediately informs Reuven. That afternoon Reuven confirmed that Shimon has the job. Sunday, after the event, Reuven pays Shimon the revised price, but alleges that Shimon had been dishonest. True?[6]

8)    I wish to travel immediately after Shabbos to be a madricha at a Havdolo-event in another part of town. The head-madricha will drive us. Are we permitted to walk over to her house on Shabbos to be ready to ride with her right after Shabbos?[7]

9)    May I sell stuff on Amazon that may sell on Shabbos?[8]

10)  Why is there a preference in Chabad to have the lining of the Tallis, and the corners, made of silk cloth?[9]

1) The term שנת הקהל appears in the writings of the  חיד"א:[1]

1) Hakhel is held on Succos; why then is the entire year called a “Hakhel Year”?[1]

2) New-model hearing-aids no longer have batteries. Instead, they are charged daily via a USB socket. However, a full charge lasts 18 hours. This means that the user will be without the device for the end of Shabbos. The problem intensifies with two-day Yomim Tovim. How about fitting the charger to a timer, and plugging in the device before the charger has any power?[2]

3) Some authorities forbid the wearing of open-backed footwear on Shabbos in the street. Is Yom Kipur the same, stricter, more lenient?[3]

4) The Shaagas Aryeh rules not to carry a Lulav on Yom Tov only for the נענועים. What is the basis for the prevailing practice – to carry the Lulav to Shul only for the נענועים?[4]

1) In Selichos and in Hoshanos, in the alphabetical poem למען אמתך, למען בריתך, why does the third stanza have two concepts: למען גדלך ותפארתך?

2) How do I measure for the placement of a Mezuza in a doorway that has straight doorposts but a curved arch for the lintel: a) the top 3rd of the straight doorposts; b) the top 3rd including the upper arch?[1]

3) When a Jewish boy was circumcised by a non-Jew, there is a follow-on procedure called הטפת דם ברית. Are any brochos said when the above is done?[2]

1) In the 8th brocho of Shmone Esrei we ask for healing, ending with praising HaShem as healer of the Jewish people. But HaShem heals all flesh, as expressed in the end of the brocho of Asher Yotzar: רופא כל בשר. So why the specification in this blessing?[1]

1) Wheat-bread doesn’t treat me well. So, for Lechem Mishneh, is it essential that I partake of a kazayis thereof?[1]
