It was revealed Windsor Castle experienced a major security breach when burglars broke into a farm on the royal estate and stole vehicles while Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children slept nearby at Adelaide Cottage. The intruders reportedly scaled a 6-foot fence, stole a black Isuzu pick-up and a red quad bike from a barn, and smashed through a gate with the stolen truck to escape.

The incident occurred on Sunday, October 13, around 11:45 p.m. at Shaw Farm, a working area within the castle’s security perimeter. Police believe the burglars had been surveilling the site for some time, knowing precisely where the vehicles were stored and the best escape route.
The stolen vehicles were last seen heading towards Old Windsor and Datchet. The gate they destroyed in their getaway is regularly used by the Wales family as it is the closest exit to Adelaide Cottage.

No alarms were triggered during the break-in, and the first alert came when the intruders damaged the security barrier at the Shaw Farm gate. The breach has raised concerns about the adequacy of Windsor Castle’s security measures, especially given the proximity of the royals’ residence.
Thames Valley Police confirmed the burglary and stated that an investigation is ongoing, but no arrests have been made.

A source told The Sun, ​​"They must have been watching Windsor Castle for a while,"  "There are alarms at Windsor Castle but the first time anyone knew there was a break-in was when they crashed through the security barrier at Shaw Farm Gate exit,"  "The barrier has needed to be replaced as it was so badly damaged. It was a Sunday night on a school week so the young princes and princess would have been tucked [up] in bed at Adelaide Cottage, just around the corner but still in the grounds."
ITV quoted a “royal insider” as saying “ the raid was “half a mile from where any Royal would have been sleeping”.

Our insider Deep Crown added, “Perhaps Harry isn’t so crazy staying at a hotel.”

The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has resigned following a damning report that revealed the Church of England’s cover-up of abuse perpetrated by John Smyth QC, a barrister accused of horrific abuse over decades. 

King Charles, who oversees the Church, accepted Welby’s resignation.  Welby had presided over Charles’ coronation.

Kate Middleton returned to her royal duties for the deeply meaningful Remembrance Sunday service, marking a rare back-to-back public appearance since her challenging health journey this year. Standing alongside Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, she looked visibly moved as she watched King Charles and Prince William lay wreaths in honor of fallen soldiers at the Cenotaph. Dressed in a black coat adorned with three poppies and a Dragoon Guards brooch—a nod to her role as the regiment’s Colonel-in-Chief—Kate wore earrings that once belonged to Queen Elizabeth, adding a personal tribute to the day.

A somber and visibly emotional King Charles led the Royal Family and the nation in honoring the fallen at the Remembrance Sunday service. The King, turning 76 this week and currently undergoing cancer treatment, observed the traditional two-minute silence before laying a wreath at the Cenotaph. Wearing the Royal Navy uniform of the Admiral of the Fleet, he paid his respects with a custom wreath resembling one used by King George VI. His heartfelt message on the wreath read: “In grateful remembrance of your service and sacrifice, Charles R.”

Prince William, Princess Anne, and Prince Edward followed suit, each laying wreaths in tribute. Kate and Sophie watched from the Foreign Office balcony.

Buckingham Palace announced the Princess of Wales is set to join the Royal Family in honoring Remembrance events this weekend, 

Kate will attend the Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph in Whitehall, alongside other senior royals, and will also participate in the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday. This news comes after Kate recently completed chemotherapy following her cancer diagnosis, demonstrating her commitment to supporting the armed forces and those who have served.

Meanwhile, Queen Camilla’s attendance at these events remains uncertain as she recovers from a chest infection. The Palace confirmed that Camilla’s participation will depend on medical guidance in the days ahead, after she had to withdraw from engagements earlier this week due to her illness.

The idea of Meghan Markle entering politics has always floated around, especially given her activism and moments of public advocacy. With Donald Trump returning to the White House, it’s stirred up fresh speculation about her political ambitions. Grant Harrold, who once served as a royal butler, gave a cautious take: he doesn’t find it impossible but does consider it a long shot.
 
Melania Trump recently shared a surprising tidbit about her connection with then-Prince Charles, revealing that the two struck up a pen-pal relationship after bonding at a 2019 state banquet. Sitting next to Charles, Melania described their conversation as “an absolute pleasure,” reconnecting over shared interests and previous encounters from years ago in New York.

Queen Camilla has withdrawn from all her scheduled engagements this week after being diagnosed with a chest infection, Buckingham Palace announced. The Duchess of Gloucester will stand in for Camilla at the Field of Remembrance ceremony at Westminster Abbey on Thursday, while King Charles will host a Buckingham Palace reception for Olympic and Paralympic athletes that same evening.
Birgitte, the 78 year old Duchess of Gloucester) is a Danish-born member of the British royal family married to Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, a grandson of King George V.  The incident is a good reminder that perhaps the Slimmed Down Monarchy could use a few extra bodies.

William is out of the country.  Kate is on a beak.  Harry, well, you know. And Meghan probably wouldn’t even visit the UK should a major tragedy strike and Harry wind up King.

Meanwhile, the B team’s Princess Beatrice gave a heartfelt speech at the ADIPEC Exhibition and Conference in Abu Dhabi about the importance of inclusivity in AI. Princess Eugenie was in Qatar, appearing radiant in a vibrant yellow ensemble.  The princess toured Doha’s M7 art center.

What about secret weapon Sophie Wessex you ask? 

The Duchess of Edinburgh had a bit of a mishap at Legoland Windsor while playing a round of minature golf. In an unexpected turn, the 59-year-old managed to hit herself in the face with her own ball, captured perfectly by photographer Tim Rooke. Sophie was seen wincing as the ball ricocheted off her club and came right back at her which is not at all funny so stop giggling.

Today could be a monumental day in the saga of Harry and Meghan.
With Trump and Harry reportedly far from friends, there’s speculation that a future President Trump could, in theory, give the Duke of Montecito a one-way ticket out of the U.S. Royal watcher Hugo Vickers weighed in, saying, “I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Trump suddenly said, ‘Right, I’m sending Prince Harry out of this country.’” 
Other royal experts think the Sussexes new Portugal pad is just a vacation spot. Richard Fitzwilliams was quick to point out that Harry and Meghan probably aren’t looking to replace their California home base anytime soon. Fitzwilliams also didn’t hold back on calling Harry’s drug-use revelations in *Spare* “extremely foolish.” As for Trump actually making a scene by ejecting Harry, Fitzwilliams doubts it, saying it’s unlikely he’d want to risk a public fiasco with the royal family.

Charles and Prince William’s estates are under scrutiny after a report revealed they’re raking in millions from public services and charities through the Duchies of Lancaster and Cornwall. 

The estates are expected to earn millions from leasing land to UK public services and charities. Together, the estates control over 5,400 leases and, with exemptions from business taxes, are projected to bring in at least £50 million. This includes revenue from the NHS, schools, and the Ministry of Justice, such as an £11.4 million lease to the Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust and £37 million from Dartmoor Prison.
Notably, some estate properties rented to charities, like Marie Curie and Macmillan, are now vacant due to rising costs. Despite a focus on environmental concerns, about 13-14% of residential properties under the duchies have low energy ratings, below the legal rental minimum of E. This has fueled calls for increased transparency and tax compliance, with critics urging that the estates pay corporation tax and operate similarly to the Crown Estate, which redirects its profits to the government.

The investigation has cast a chilly spotlight on Prince William’s inherited estate, revealing that dozens of his rental properties reportedly fail to meet minimum legal energy standards. The probe, conducted with Channel 4’s Dispatches, found that 1 in 7 rentals in the Duchy of Cornwall estate are at the lowest Energy Performance Certificate ratings, F or G, which fall below legal requirements. Tenants in these properties reported struggling with mould, damp, and inefficient heating systems, pushing many into fuel poverty.

One tenant shared that they can only afford to heat two rooms in their home with coal and wood, explaining, “It gets miserably cold, especially in the winter.” Another described drafts so severe that curtains move with the wind. Despite the Duchy’s £91 million in recent profits, the report found that necessary upgrades like double glazing and insulation were largely neglected, with some tenants fearing eviction or steep rent hikes if they asked for improvements.

Prince William, now the Duke of Cornwall, inherited management of the estate from his father, King Charles, a staunch environmental advocate, who oversaw it until 2022. In response, the Duchy asserts its commitment to improving properties and pursuing net-zero status by 2032. But critics argue this royal estate’s policies on energy efficiency have left tenants in untenable conditions, exposing them to undue health risks and highlighting broader flaws in the UK rental system.

Prince William was put on the spot while helping out at a Christmas party for the homeless in London. In his new ITV documentary, Prince William: We Can End Homelessness, he is seen lending a hand at The Passage, a homeless shelter close to his heart. However, when he floated the idea of leaving the kitchen crew to mingle with guests, chef Claudette wasn’t having it. With a playful, “Oh, you’re trying to escape the work, I’m watching you!” Claudette reeled him back in, sparking laughter from the Prince. Clearly unfazed, William later took on the less glamorous job of clearing plates, showing he was game for whatever was needed.
The documentary gives an inside look at the first year of William’s Homewards initiative, which aims to tackle homelessness with a strategy to make it “rare, brief, and unrepeated.” This goal takes inspiration from William’s childhood visits to shelters with Princess Diana and is focused on six regions, including Newport, Lambeth, and Aberdeen. The project brings together charities, local councils, and government departments, and in one scene, Big Issue founder Lord John Bird makes it clear that he’ll hold William accountable: “We need the expertise of everybody.” William backs him up, agreeing that it’s a “team game.”

An insider tells Closer Magazine that Harry doesn’t need to worry about William so much as he needs to worry about Camilla who reportedly considers Harry to be a "wolf in sheep's clothing", who brings "stress and drama" to situations.

According to the insider,  " Camilla is opposed to Harry making any sort of return, even for a friendly visit. She doesn’t want to come face to face with him, let alone show him any kind of forgiveness or mercy."

"It’s her belief that any interaction King Charles has with him is only going to be bad for his health and for the family as a whole. If Harry does get the invite back to the UK, he’d be wise to stay far away from Camilla."

Charles’ tour of Australia made international headlines after Indigenous Senator Lidia Thorpe staged a dramatic protest during a ceremonial event in Canberra. Thorpe, a well-known activist and independent senator, interrupted a speech by Charles, accusing the crown of genocide against Indigenous Australians. Wearing a traditional possum skin coat, Thorpe approached the stage, shouting, ““Our bones, our skulls, our babies, our people,” said Ms. Thorpe, as the guards backed her toward the door. “You destroyed our land.”This is not your country, you are not our king,” and demanded the return of stolen lands and a treaty with First Nations people.
Thorpe’s protest lasted over a minute, during which she fiercely condemned the monarchy’s colonial legacy, accusing them of destroying Indigenous lands and people. She was eventually removed from the hall but continued to shout as she left, calling the crown “genocidal” and exclaiming,  “(Eff) the colony.” Later, she posted a cartoon depicting King Charles beheaded on her Instagram story.
The royal couple appeared stunned by the outburst, but Charles and Camilla continued with their schedule, meeting well-wishers afterward. The palace did not officially comment on the protest, but a source expressed gratitude for the large turnout of supporters.
Thorpe’s protest reignited conversations about Australia’s colonial history, with many Indigenous Australians pushing for a formal peace treaty. Thorpe reiterated her stance after the event, stating, “As First Peoples, we never ceded our sovereignty over this land. The crown invaded this country and committed genocide.”

In another possible tell about the real state of the King’s health, Charles will not be attending the COP29 climate summit in Azerbaijan next month as he continues to manage his health while undergoing cancer treatment. The decision to skip the summit comes despite his long-standing commitment to environmental causes and previous participation in such events, including his passionate speech at COP28 in Dubai last year. There, he warned that global efforts to meet climate targets were "dreadfully far off track."

Meghan Markle’s recent appearance at the LA Children’s Hospital Gala has stirred some gossip, with claims that she attended “for the photographs,” according to her former friend Lizzie Cundy. The British socialite, who was at the event on Saturday, commented on the Duchess of Sussex’s presence, noting that she seemed to lack warmth and stayed for only a short time. 

Cundy, who had a brief friendship with Meghan before the royal engagement, claimed to have been “ghosted” by her after Meghan’s relationship with Prince Harry blossomed. She also noted that Meghan’s reception in LA hasn’t been as warm since she and Harry distanced themselves from the Royal Family, commenting that “LA people feel they’ve been played by her.”

Meghan Markle made a glamorous solo appearance at the LA Children’s Hospital gala, wearing a striking red Carolina Herrera dress. The Duchess of Sussex had previously donned this gown in 2021 at a gala in New York, but this time Prince Harry was noticeably absent.

The event, hosted by Kaley Cuoco, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Colin Hanks, saw Meghan engaging warmly with children, smiling and chatting throughout the evening. While she was flying solo, Harry has been attending a number of engagements without her as well, including trips to New York, the UK, and South Africa.

Meghan said: "The work that they do otherworldly. And I think from my standpoint as a mother no one wants to be in a position where you need to go to a place like this - but if you have to, the best place in the world you could go would be Children's Hospital LA.
 
Some thought Meghan seemed uncomfortable at the event.  Body language expert Judi James tells FEMAIL: "For a confident woman who is used to cameras and red carpets she acts grateful to see and join her friend here. The body language ritual that she follows seems to be deliberate signalling of her current state as Harry is off on his solo tour.

"Meghan performs signals of coyness and even shyness plus a subliminal desire to have someone take over the lead from Harry, as though she is somehow lost without him on the red carpet or wanting to suggest she is feeling more vulnerable and girlishly playful than usual."

Meghan’s red dress was not warmly reviewed.  One social media user called it” the most hideously ugly dress. And she wore it to meet with donors and children."
