We begin our podcasting journey discussing our Jump To Lightspeed pre-release experiences, what leaders and decks we are looking forward to trying in the new set, some hype for Twin Suns finally being a fully-fledged format, and a brief look at upcoming competitive events.  Ian and Wes will be streaming live games at the Sector Qualifier in Denver on 5-6 April, so come by and say hello!

With the game's first Sector Qualifier in Milan, Italy and the Bothan Invitational in the books, the boys talk about the current look of competitive decks in Star Wars Unlimited and what impact recent events should have on the upcoming Sector Qualifier in Denver. Additionally, we discuss the recent Legends of the Force spoilers, what keywords we would like to see FFG bring back in the future, and what decks each of us has in the oven for Premiere and Twin Suns.

We're halfway through the Jump to Lightspeed meta: release was 8 weeks ago, and Legends of the Force hits shelves in another 8 weeks.  So the boys take a breath to briefly review what's been going on in the competitive world and talk more generally about how to up your game and improve as a SWU player.

With the meta opened up a bit due to FFG cancelling Jango, the creative juices have been flowing!  The boys talk about what they've been building and trying of late, including a couple of throwback leaders from Set 1 that don't get a lot of love in the modern game.  We also cover an upcoming Twin Suns event here locally, as at least one of our store showdowns is slated to be run in the format.

Episode 8 is a tad late due to some easily preventable technical stupidity on Wes' part. =)  Here in take two of the episode, the boys get together to briefly recap the recent Planetary Qualifier here in Houston, including some post-match analysis for Ian's turn on the stream.  Some discussion of when to scoop (concede) to your opponent and a bit of good-natured ribbing ensues, followed by a brief review of the recently revealed Legends of the Force full spoiler!

The boys reconvene fresh from the afterglow of attending the first ever Galactic Championships in Las Vegas, and boy does Ian have an epic story to tell.  Wes already told his over on his YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ezjAvvev1Fg), and Trey has thoughts about the streaming presentation.  After catching up, Trey grades Ian and Wes' homework from last episode, and everyone looks ahead to limited PQs and what the sealed/draft environment for Legends of the Force has in store.
