I've been playing games for my entire life. Starting with my first Arcade game (Donkey Kong) all the way through to the current gen consoles and now the Steam Deck. Valve's entry into the portable gaming space is a big deal, and the Steam Deck is a major shake up to the PC gaming industry, So of course I want to talk about it. This is the podcast for you if you want honest discussion about PC Gaming with a heavy focus on the Steam Deck without console wars nonsense.

STEAM DECK NEWS: On today’s episode of On Deck I’m going to discuss some trouble shooting options you can try if some of your games aren’t running how you like, I’ll also talk about a way to get back some of that all important storage on your Steam Deck and possibly get better performance from your games at the same time, Plus we’ll talk about how Valve can possibly make downloading games to your deck even easier as well as some fixes to steam input on the beta path, and how valve is going to make your docked experience even better. and of course we’ve got some amazing deals that I want to tell you about.
The new Steam Deck OS 3.4 update has caused some serious problems for third-party apps that were installed on the SD card. Unfortunately, Valve pushed the update without addressing this issue, and users quickly started having issues. Pierre Loup Griffais tweeted about the issue, and now Valve has released a fix. Keep an eye out for Steam OS 3.5, which will push the same change that broke apps, but this time devs will have time to be ready for it.
