| The offense is a disaster so OU starts over with Michael Hawkins Jr. | 22 Sep 2024 | 01:11:52 | |
The Sooners lose to Tennessee 25-15 in one of the most frustrating offensive outings since Bob Stoops took over for John Blake in 1998. This OU offense hasn't just regressed, it's disappeared completely. It looks like Michael Hawkins Jr., will be the near future. But with lots of tough opponents still to be played, the prospects for the season just took a nose dive on Owen Field tonight. Could changes be on the horizon? Carey, Eddie and George break it all down. What are we most concerned about? Who deserves the blame for all of this? Is Jackson Arnold done at OU? How many more games can OU win playing at this level? It was a very concerning performance and has us questioning just about everything going on inside the Switzer Center. This was not a drunk pod, but it probably set the record for f-bombs in a pod. We found at least 17 of them. And we think we caught them all. But we all lost our minds at one point or another while recording this pod. Come enjoy the madness with us, won't you?

| POSTGAME: OL makes progress, Jackson runs and defense comes up big in the end | 15 Sep 2024 | 01:13:28 | |
Josh has joined the postgame pod this week along with Carey, Eddie and George. We're taking a deep dive into OU's 34-19 win. Maybe this is therapy? Maybe it's a little bit of frustration release? Maybe we don't even know what we're doing. Carey certainly can't remember anyone's name anymore. Eddie can't pronounce them. The Offensive line was better. At least for a little while. Then it was very bad. We have the plan for OU's offensive line moving forward because it's clear the best advice comes from the Internet. Jackson Arnold should stop running so much. But maybe he should start running more. Gameday is coming to town next week. Good thing or bad thing? OK, this team may not be a juggernaut, but it's starting to improve in some areas. And there's still no sign of Nic Anderson or Branson Hickman. And even less of a sign of Andrel Anthony. So if you are riding with the team that brought you, this is the team. And this is the podcast. The Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast.

| OU has problems on offense and it starts with the coaches | 29 Oct 2023 | 00:57:40 | |
Eddie and George are in Lawrence, Kan., and they have just watched the Sooners fall to the Kansas Jayhawks for the first time since 1997. This isn't a drunk pod, but you might call it the accusation pod. Or the complaint department pod. We breakdown what we saw today on both sides of the ball. It was another disjointed performance by an OU offense that wasn't supposed to be facing a great defense. There were too many penalties, too many turnovers and too many reminders of how bad this team was a year ago. Because this team is starting to look a little bit like last year's squad. Is Jeff Lebby big enough for this job? We actually have to ask that question after the last two offensive performances. With Bedlam on the horizon, this team needs to get it together fast. Or they could get embarrassed in the last Bedlam game as we know it. It was not a good day and we want answers. Join us on this week's Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast.

| U40: The postgame gets heated as OU barely wins against UCF | 22 Oct 2023 | 01:14:17 | |
Carey, Josh, Eddie and George all jump in and go after the issues after the Sooners squeak out a 31-29 victory over UCF on Owen Field. The offense and special teams set a very ominous tone on an afternoon that had fans wanting to support their conquering Red River Rivalry foes. But the Sooners came out uninspired on offense and incapable on special teams. The defense did it's job, but the rest was a little too white knuckle for anyone's taste. We talk about the Tawee Walker suspension, what this close win means going forward, the state of the Big 12, the state of the running back room and much, much more. It's almost a full crew. Eddie was a few beers deep. We also go through the short list of stock up from today's game. There were some positives.

| Gabriel helps cap a game for the ages in OU's 34-30 win over Texas | 08 Oct 2023 | 01:05:06 | |
Eddie said it best in this podcast. Brent Venables Oklahoma football program just accelerated during today's 34-30 win over the Texas Longhorns at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas. Dillon Gabriel put together a performance for the ages and any Sooner fans on the fence about how far he can lead this OU team has to adjust their thinking. Gabriel was magical at times with his feet. He made a lot of big plays with his arm. And the biggest throw of the day with just :15 seconds left. It gave the Sooners an improbable comeback victory. But it wasn't just the offense. OU's defense came in and went toe-to-toe with a team everything thought would be more physical than the Sooners. In fact, both sides of the line were the more physical units for most of the game. Carey, Eddie and George break it all down and give their biggest takeaways from an incredible day in Dallas.

| Gabriel looks better than the defense in 50-20 win. OU-TX up next. | 01 Oct 2023 | 01:01:21 | |
The Eskridge Lexus Postgame is here as Carey, Eddie and George breakdown OU's 50-20 win over Iowa State. But who are we kidding? OU-TX is coming and it's going to be one of the biggest games in years inside the Cotton Bowl. We give Dylan Gabriel his leis, and we talk about the defensive lapses in the first half. We go stock up and stock down with George for the first time. Some harsh grading was made. But we also get a head start on the matchup with Texas, the mentality of OU's team right now and how that will mesh with Texas' big game experience so far this season. So much to go over and so much to talk about this coming week. It gets started right here.

| OU defense turning into a menace as OU wins 20-6 | 24 Sep 2023 | 00:49:00 | |
Oklahoma traveled to Cincinnati to take on the Bearcats in their first true road test. Amongst a rowdy crowd the Sooners missed some opportunities to separate themselves early. Dillon Gabriel missed some deep balls to open receivers but overall put together a winning performance. The run game is as perplexing as ever as only Marcus Major and Tawee Walker took snaps. But the defense was there to hold it all together. Danny Stutsman had 13 tackles to lead the defense and it's clear Brent Venables has changed the mentality of this unit. Key Lawrence continues to come on and Billy Bowman made a reception deep in OU territory as well. Eddie and George join Carey from the Cincinnati pressbox for this week's Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast.

| Sooners rout Tulsa 66-17. The good, the bad and the not so ugly | 17 Sep 2023 | 00:57:05 | |
Carey links up with Eddie and George who are live from The University of Tulsa's H.A. Chapman Stadium. We talk about the explosive day for Dillon Gabriel and the young players who emerged at receiver and on both sides of the ball. Suddenly that receiving corps has life and looks great. What about the running game? And how is the offensive line coming along. The defense had mostly good moments but Kevin Wilson did some stuff to that secondary that shows work is still needed. But what do we really take from this? We saw this team fall apart after an impressive win on the road in Nebraska a year ago. Well, Cincinnati is up next and they will be plenty mad after dropping an unexpected one tonight during the pod. All your postgame coverage and thoughts right here on the Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast. Oh yeah, and what about the Jackson Arnold package? We have lots to say on that one.

| A 28-11 SMU wins shows concerns on offense | 10 Sep 2023 | 01:01:25 | |
Carey, Eddie and George are here for the Eskridge Lexus Postgame podcast where we breakdown the Sooners 28-11 victory over the SMU Mustangs. The defense was awesome and Danny Stutsman looks like the guy we always thought he could be. In fact, we talk about a lot of different players on the defense who stood out Saturday evening. But we don't have as many stars to talk about on the offensive side of the ball outside of Tawee Walker. We can sprinkle in some Andrel Anthony, Jalil Farooq and Marcus Major (at the end of the game), but there was too much inconsistency. And what was up with the Jackson Arnold plan? We have doubts moving forward. There was also the little incident of Art Briles showing up after the game and hanging out on Owen Field with OU Jordan gear on. People are not happy in our jTwitter/X mentions over this. Tulsa is coming next week but we give you almost a full hour of late night thoughts on what we saw against SMU.

| Brent Venables opens season 2 with a complete blowout victory | 03 Sep 2023 | 01:05:24 | |
The Oklahoma Sooners took out Arkansas State like we've rarely seen in a season opener at home. The 73-0 was complete and showed very few flaws in the first game coming off a 6-7 season in 2022. Dillon Gabriel through for 308 yards on 19-of-22 passing and 2 TDs. When the second half started with a 45-0 score, Gabriel's day was done. He handed off the keys to Jackson Arnold, who went 11-for-11 for 114 yards and 1 TD. Josh, Carey, Eddie and George are all here to break it down. We even dig into the Tawee Walker discussion from last week. Running backs, receivers, safeties, corners.. we cover all the positions. There was a lot to see on Owen Field Saturday afternoon. And we break it all down. And also, what happened at Lindsey Street?

| Fans get plenty of QB looks in spring game but defense impresses | 23 Apr 2023 | 00:55:29 | |
Sooners fans got a chance to see an extended look at freshman five-star Jackson Arnold at today's Red & White scrimmage. How did the guys see things? Dillon Gabriel ran with the first team offense all day and had his moments after a slow start. In the end, the defense was the most impressive part of today's scrimmage. The transfer portal appears to have been kind to Brent Venables on defense. We break down everything we saw. The running game? Broken down. The receivers? Broken down? The defensive line? You get it. We broke it down. Eddie had a cringy moment near the end of the scrimmage and Carey attacks George over his watch. Welcome back Eskridge Lexus Postgame. Even if just for one brief podcast.

| Sooners fall in Cheez-It Bowl but optimism remains | 02 Jan 2023 | 00:58:45 | |
Carey and Eddie finally sit down back in Norman to record the Eskridge Lexus Postgame pod/season wrap-up episode. The Sooners finished the season with a 6-7 record and it's still a losing record. Not something that will ever be acceptable at Oklahoma. But major questions marks were getting ready to greet us heading into the offseason. And with the way the offensive line played, the way Gavin Sawchuck performed and there are fewer issues than we might have thought. The Sooners could have been blown out in Orlando with the opt-outs and injuries. But they battled, and almost pulled out a victory. Ultimately, the Sooners will have to improve for Brent Venables to build the legacy he hopes to build in Norman.

And the Crimson Corner too. But hey, it's late night, you guys have been drinking and waiting for this, so we won't force you to wait any longer. | It's over. OU loses and finishes 6-6 in the regular season. | 28 Nov 2022 | 01:24:03 | |
Everyone is back from Lubbock and we're ready to talk about it. The Sooners lose the regular season finale in OT to Texas Tech. Carey and Eddie start things out and Josh joins us as he returns home from his trip to Oklahoma. What went wrong and how it gets fixed. What does Brent Venables need to do to fix the problems with game management. How does he need to fix things with Jeff Lebby and the offense that just can't go fast enough for him, even when it hurts the Sooners' chances of winning? What changes do we see coming? What players are in and who is out? And how is the culture of this team after 12 games and a lot of disappointment? Josh joins in about 40 minutes in to give his thoughts on what he saw this weekend and throughout the season.

| A Bedlam victory and a great defensive effort | 20 Nov 2022 | 00:41:03 | |
The Oklahoma Sooners move to 6-5 and make themselves bowl eligible with a win over Oklahoma State Saturday night on Owen Field. It was also senior night and Drake Stoops was one of the brightest offensive stars of the night. But the offensive stars took a backseat the defense which intercepted four passes from Spencer Sanders and kept getting big stop after big stop even when the offense wasn't helping. And the offense wasn't just not helping, they were actually hurting the defense but going three-and-out and not taking enough time off the clock. For all the blame we've lobbed on players for not seeming to care about their performances this season, it was the coaching staff that stood out the most in Bedlam as they failed to control the clock on offense and kept opening the door for Oklahoma State to make a comeback. Carey and Eddie discuss it all in this Bedlam victory edition of the Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast.

| WVU loss: What is the give a crap level of OU players? | 13 Nov 2022 | 00:58:12 | |
Eddie is headed back to Pittsburgh after another terrible loss by the Oklahoma Sooners. Carey is back at the office ready to tear this program down to the studs. Losing 23-20, the Sooners have us shaking our heads once again and now we're questioning even more. The coaches don't escape the criticism this time around. But Carey and Eddie noticed some things in the post game interviews tonight. Eddie also noticed something in the defeated players coming off the field. We're diving into why this team isn't getting better and what it could be about the makeup of this locker room that could lead to such dismal results on the field after 10 games. This team is 5-5. 5-5!!!!!! How can they sleep at night? The only way that's easy is if you just don't care.

| Sooners fall to Baylor and we have strong opinions | 06 Nov 2022 | 01:09:15 | |
There were a lot of emotions running throughout the Baylor game. And when it was over, there were lots of emotions about the loss. Here's the thing, Carey, Josh and Eddie got together after to record the Eskridge Lexus Postgame pod. And we had serious thoughts about what the loss should mean for fans. We're no longer talking about conventional changes on the roster or the on the staff. We want OU fans to grab some perspective. The look at the rest of the season a certain way, and judge everything based on that. There is no Big 12 title game, no playoff and not even a bowl game at this point. The Sooners went toe-to-toe with another middling Big 12 team and this time it wasn't a total debacle. But there were still way too many mistakes to stomach. This team doesn't have the right stuff. How Venables and the staff and the players finish out the season will say more about the future of this program than the 9 games we've seen so far.

| Sooners handle Iowa State 27-13, defense looks sound again | 30 Oct 2022 | 01:01:48 | |
The Sooners traveled to Ames, Iowa, to face an Iowa State team that had lost four straight. But those were all close losses and the Sooners have a recent history of struggles against the Iowa State defense. It was also a case of wondering if the defense was going to show improvements after a bye week and some time to get fresh legs. It all worked out as the Sooners got a win 27-13. Jeff Lebby seemed to have Matt Campbell's offense figured out at times, but dropped passes and untimely penalties derailed some solid early drives. Thanks to kicker Zach Schmit, the Sooners took a 13-0 lead before Dillon Gabriel and the offense added more conventional TDs in the second half. The defense took a noticeable step forward as well although it wasn't perfect. Iowa State ended up throwing the ball 57 times on the day as the Sooners were stout against the run. But with three interceptions and the emergence of DaShaun White as the cheetah position, OU looked dominating at times. Iowa State did squeak back into the game, but Michael Turk finally made his presence known by pinning the Cyclones deep in their own territory late in the game. Overall a solid win and Carey and Eddie broke it down on this week's episode of the Eskridge Lexus postgame podcast.

| A much needed win against Kansas | 24 Oct 2022 | 01:02:52 | |
The Sooners hit Owen Field Saturday facing a surprisingly strong Kansas team. At times this looked like a blowout. At times it looked like the Oklahoma team that had lost three straight coming into this one. In the end, the Sooners held on to a lead that seemed like it should have been bigger. Dillon Gabriel threw for over 400 yards. No one was thinking about the last two weeks and the backup QB situation. And the defense started strong and finished with a whimper. All in all, the Sooners got a victory. And it's exactly what they needed heading into a bye week. But most importantly we saw some progress. And the goal is to continue seeing more and more as the season progresses. Eddie and Carey hung out in the office and knocked out a Saturday pod for the first time in weeks.

| OU-TX beatdown: Something is terribly wrong in Norman | 09 Oct 2022 | 01:09:53 | |
We'll just call this two angry guys airing grievance this week after OU gets shut out and embarrassed by Texas in the Red River Rivalry. It was 49-0 . The defense was terrible once again and the offense made us look prophetic when we said OU was screwed if Dillon Gabriel ever got hurt. The offense was radically different. So what does that say about Jeff Lebby? We learned that Davis Beville is definitely not the answer but we weren't given any chances to see if anyone else could do something better. Where is the QB development in Norman? And the defense? Brent Venables seemed shell-shocked and befuddled after the game. He had no real answers after a second straight week of inept play from his defense. It actually might have been better than the TCU game, but it was still horrible. The OU program has fallen so fast in a year. Why is that? Who is to blame? And what can Venables and his staff do to figure out how to play better when Saturday rolls around? And is anyone on the hot seat already? By the end, Carey didn't even want to be here anymore. It was a frustrating weekend and most people just spent Saturday night getting drunk. We dealt with the reality of it on Sunday. And it just made us want to start drinking again. So enjoy!

| It's a full staff meeting/meltdown after the embarrassment in Ft. Worth | 02 Oct 2022 | 01:20:12 | |
This will not be a podcast for the faint of heart. It's a fully raw episode with no bleeps. So you might have to headphones the kids if you are driving. Carey, Josh, Eddie and Bob are all here for this one as we break down the OU football team in its current state and search for answers of our own. Who on this team wants to play football? Understands what playing football is? Who should not be playing? Who should be playing? Whose fault is it that the team is playing this way? Can it be fixed. And holy crap, Texas is next. OU heads to the Red River Rivalry with their underwear showing. Will Dillon Gabriel even be cleared to play? And who thought OU had a backup quarterback? And my goodness! The injuries are all over the place. Hopefully this pod serves as some therapy. And we also understand if you just don't want to listen this week. But we carry on regardless.

| Another K-State dud on Owen Field | 25 Sep 2022 | 01:07:43 | |
It's another baffling outcome as Oklahoma loses to Kansas State 41-34 in a game where OU couldn't get out of its own way to even seriously threaten the Wildcats on Owen Field. Carey and Eddie are tired, cranky and at a loss for how to keep doing podcasts when unthinkable losses like these happen. Thankfully we have an office on Campus Corner and Mike Hosty was playing next door at The Deli. Because Fox Sports/Bally Sports videographer Christopher Fitzpatrick stopped by to wallow in misery with us. He probably was the only one who had a realistic take on where the Sooners go from here. It was tough to watch Brent Venables and Dillon Gabriel in the postgame press conference. It was certainly the lowest moment for everyone since the Venables' era began. So come on in as we break it all down and try and make sense out of the nonsense we saw Saturday evening.

| Nebraska beatdown shows things are changing in Norman | 18 Sep 2022 | 00:52:20 | |
Oklahoma went to Lincoln, Nebraska, and took care of the Cornhuskers 49-14. As Eddie heads back from Lincoln, he and Carey breakdown what they saw today. The atmosphere led to a fast start for the Huskers, but Dillon Gabriel and the OU defense were up to the challenge as they quickly struck back and kept piling on the touchdowns. What we learned was that things are really changing in Norman around this football team. Not only are they playing defense, but Venables is changing the mindset. We break it all down in this episode and even bow down to Eric Gray. I mean, what is there really to gripe about after this one? It was a convincing win on the road over a historic rival and the Sooners were down for a beating. As Eddie was on the road there will be some slight audio issues in the beginning but those ironed out as the podcast went on.

| Oklahoma's 51-3 win over Temple not exactly without flaws | 31 Aug 2024 | 00:59:05 | |
The Oklahoma Sooners get the season opening blowout win over Temple as expected. But there are certainly areas of concern for fans and critics. Most notably, an offensive line that looked shaky at best. The lack of a running game against an overmatched opponent until Taylor Tatum took over late was disappointing. And an injury to Jalil Farooq that will sideline him for an extended period of time is concerning. Carey, Eddie and George are here after coming back to the Campus Corner studios from the stadium to break it all down. And it wasn't all concerning, the defense was stifling most of the night forcing turnover after turnover. The kicking game was even a major bright spot. And it appears Brent Venables defense is ready to take things to another level in year three. It's week one. So plenty of this is overreaction or reaction unjustified. But we like some of what we saw and we hated other parts. That's just what we do around here. The Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast starts now.

Carey and Eddie breakdown Saturday's college football action and specifically what we saw in Norman Saturday night between OU and Kent State. The defense should not be overlooked, but as we're always in search of perfection from OU football, we breakdown what went wrong on the offensive side of the ball. We also continue falling deeper in love with Danny Stutsman and look at some of the standouts on both sides of the ball. We also look ahead to Nebraska and survey the landscape that was a pretty crazy Saturday of football in the Big 12 and nationally. Alabama/Texas... Wow.

| POSTGAME: 2022's Red & White Game was quite the day for Baker | 24 Apr 2022 | 01:05:45 | |
It was an incredible day on Owen Field. Not because we finally got to see Dillon Gabriel at QB1 for Oklahoma. Not because Jeff Lebby is a madman that made Gabriel play for both teams or that we could barely keep up with the speed of his offense. It wasn't the fire of Brent Venables who commanded the day with his microphone at midfield. It was the buzz inside the stadium generated from the return of hundreds of former players, some of the best to ever it do it own Owen Field. But at the center of it all was Baker Mayfield, who had his statue placed in Heisman Park and reminded everyone inside the stadium what passion about being a Sooner should mean to all in attendance.

| Bob Stoops' legend grew against Oregon, Josh back from hell (Orlando) | 31 Dec 2021 | 01:22:32 | |
On the final day of 2021 we wrap up the Alamo Bowl and a wild ride to the end of the season. Carey, Eddie and Josh are here as Josh recaps his visit to Orlando for the Under Armour All-American practices while Carey and Eddie breakdown the Alamo Bowl win over Oregon and hand out plenty of praise for Cale Gundy and Bob Stoops. Call this an exit interview, therapy, celebration, man crushing on Stoops, whatever you want it. It's probably more therapeutic for the guys just to talk about the madness of the last month. The good part was that it ended better than you could have scripted it, with Bob Stoops reminding us all what was special about Oklahoma.
The full rundown follows below:
00:00 - Hello and welcome; let's get into it Josh wrapping up his trip to Orlando
26:10 - Caleb Williams; what's going to happen?

| POSTGAME: OU beats Iowa State. We're happy right? Right? Right....?! | 21 Nov 2021 | 01:01:58 | |
Oklahoma finally gets back in the win column to move to 10-1 with a huge Bedlam showdown coming next weekend. The defense was really good, but the offense looked like the same one we saw in Waco last weekend. What's going on? Is it Lincoln Riley? The Sooners ran the ball really well against Iowa State. But special teams were a letdown for whatever reason. But is that surprising? So many questions coming out of a win. We're trying to be excited to be back in the win column. We're trying. The Big 12 Championship berth is still up in the air though. And it's probably gonna take a win in Stillwater for the Sooners to get there. But at least the chase for the Big 12 didn't end today in Norman.

| POSTGAME: Sooners LOSE!!! What the hell happened?!! | 14 Nov 2021 | 01:20:55 | |
Just go listen. We're as defeated as the OU football team is right now. We hash out the problems with this team and the most glaring problems from the day. What needs to be fixed the fastest? Who needs to fix it? Josh and Carey have different takes on the Rattler stuff today. But they can both agree on a lot of other stuff. Eddie joins us later in the show from the road where we continue to work this stuff out. How does this happen after a bye week? Did the OL think the first series was a practice run? What about the future? Does Caleb Williams have a road game problem? Lincoln, what's going on with you? The run game was running and just stopped being used. We didn't coach this team but we'll take the hit for the loss. Also, Gabe Brkic... damn!

| POSTGAME: A win like everyone needed against Texas Tech | 31 Oct 2021 | 00:58:03 | |
Oklahoma got a huge (finally) win in the Big 12, and a relatively easy one at that thanks to both sides of the ball playing some of their best football of the season. Key Lawrence was a revelation at cornerback and Isaiah Thomas was dominant up front. Justin Broiles and Pat Fields had the last laugh as both picked off Tech passes. And Caleb Williams was fantastic throwing for over 400 yards and 6 TDs. Eddie and Carey talk about the huge nature of this win before the bye week and how helpful that could be moving forward. We also take a sneak peek at Championship November based on the results of the day. Enjoy the win Sooner fans. You've earned it!

| POSTGAME: DAMMIT IT WAS KANSAS!!!!!! | 23 Oct 2021 | 00:53:17 | |
What a treat! This week's postgame pod is full of the Scoop stars. Josh McCuistion joins Carey and Eddie this week because he had a lot to say about what he saw in Lawrence. Eddie calls in from the KU pressbox where he was actually chastised by the KU staff for making too much noise during the pod. So you know he was fired up. We can't understand this defense. How did we get here? Why has it fallen off so much? Are there any positives out of today? Well, first, OU won, so they remain undefeated. Also Caleb Williams is total clutch and he was awesome when OU needed it. But the secondary has serious issues. And Alex Grinch's seat is getting warm after the way things have started to fall apart on defense. Welcome! We're here to help you make sense of OU's 35-23 win over Kansas.

| POSTGAME: Caleb Williams has changed OU football overnight | 17 Oct 2021 | 00:56:02 | |
There's is no denying it after a second week, Caleb Williams is Oklahoma's quarterback. This OU offense looks completely different under the direction of Williams. Carey and Eddie break it all down in this edition of the Eskridge Lexus Postgame podcast. The defense was rough once again, but the bodies are getting thin and it's starting to take it's toll. Billy Bowman wasn't an instant success at cornerback and what could have been a laugher was too close because of TCU's big plays. Nevertheless, OU has Kansas, Texas Tech and a bye week to get healthy. Also, we can't help but notice that Lincoln Riley and Caleb Williams seem to be connecting on the sidelines as the offense continues to look better and better each week. Also, OU has a lot of good receivers. Good for Jadon Haselwood and we're looking forward to seeing more Mike Woods too. Sooners win it 52-31!

| Postgame: An incredible comeback. Lincoln's next QB move is what? | 10 Oct 2021 | 01:15:04 | |
It was one of the craziest days of football the OU-Texas rivalry has ever seen. There were huge swings of emotion brought on by big plays, big mistakes and big QB changes. Caleb Williams replaced Spencer Rattler at QB and helped lead the Sooners to victory. The defense was terrible and then awesome. It's difficult to wrap our heads around everything we saw today in Dallas. But we're trying to do just that. Carey and Eddie start things off but we're soon joined by Josh as well. What do we think Lincoln Riley will do moving forward? We know what he should do. But this is a sensitive situation. What a win though. It's like the season just got a massive reboot and we're here for it. It's the Eskridge Lexus Postgame podcast.

| Are the Sooners going to be an explosive offense in 2024? | 21 Apr 2024 | 00:51:01 | |
Carey, Eddie and George are here to breakdown what they saw from the Sooners on offense and defense in the annual Red & White Game. The biggest story was the connection between Jackson Arnold and Deion Burks. Burks looks like a star and the offensive line actually did a nice job blocking for the running backs and giving Arnold some protection. We'll go over who played, who sat out and who didn't play well. And Jovantae Barnes continues to be a mystery. He suited out, but didn't play in the scrimmage. And pretty much every other running back on the roster did play. The defense had plenty of moments too. The defensive line flashed a little bit. Gracen Halton, Davon Sears, David Stone and Jayden Jackson had their moments. P.J. Adebowore also had moments along with R Mason Thomas and Ethan Downs. We're breaking it all down. Secondary, linebackers, defensive line, quarterbacks, running backs, receivers, tight ends, special teams, you name it. All right here on the Eskridge Lexus Postgame podcast.

| Postgame: It's never quite what you expect even when it's good | 03 Oct 2021 | 00:49:32 | |
Much like OU's 37-31 win over Kansas State, the Eskridge Lexus Postgame podcast followed a similar script. Recorded at midnight starting at a gas station just outside of Wichita, Eddie and Carey started recording the pod. It went well, but around 3 a.m. when Carey finally got home, he crashed and failed to finish uploading the pod. Thankfully, he recovered before the day was done and got it uploaded. Alex Grinch is probably mad at us as he was his defense. Like Spencer Rattler, he had a great performance. But sleep, like boneheaded penalties, took it's toll on the victory. Eddie and Carey breakdown what we saw in Manhattan and there was a lot of good. But the defense's inability to get off the field against a hobbled Skylar Thompson was frustrating to watch at times. One thing is sure, OU and Alex Grinch will be happy to never see Skylar Thompson and Deuce Vaughn together again. Also, we did a lot of speeding in our Eskridge Lexus. Don't tell OHP.

| POSTGAME: OU wins 16-13, but tonight will always be Rattler's boo bird game | 26 Sep 2021 | 01:04:31 | |
Oklahoma never led West Virginia Saturday night on Owen Field until the clock ran out. That's when Gabe Brkic hit a 30-yard field goal to give the Sooners a 16-13 victory over the Mountaineers. But this game will be remembered or something even more memorable. Fans were boo'ing Spencer Rattler. And others started chanting, "We want Caleb" during the game. How Rattler handles this going forward will define his legacy. But he also needs more help from the offensive line and some faith in the run game from his head coach and playcaller, Lincoln Riley. The defense had a very solid night holding WVU to just 226 total yards of offense. Carey and Eddie are here to break it all down and giving their advice to Rattler on how to handle the boo birds moving forward. It's another edition of the Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast.

| Postgame: Looking for answers as to why OU can't take it to the next level | 19 Sep 2021 | 01:16:48 | |
Oklahoma beats Nebraska 23-16 today in Norman and everyone feels a different way about it. Heck, everyone on the Scoop staff feels a different way about it. Carey and Eddie start breaking it all down and why the offense and Spencer Rattler can't figure it out. Then we're joined by Josh McCuistion as the discussion turns up a notch. What is good about this team? Who is Spencer Rattler? What is this OU offense? Can it be fixed at this point or are we just waiting on an eventual disaster. Also, we let Josh get involved in some John Mayer discussion since he decided to join us. No recruiting talk tonight. This is just straight postgame podcast goodness as always.

| POSTGAME: We have nothing to complain about but CFB was weird Saturday | 12 Sep 2021 | 01:09:45 | |
This time the game really was over by halftime. Spencer Rattler was great, the defense was dominant, the week leading up to Western Carolina was brutal in practices. OU was so dominant on defense it was like one big nameless, faceless group. Danny Stutsman led the team in tackles. So what do you take out of a dominant performance against an overmatched opponent? All you can do is just keep moving forward and thank the lucky stars you aren't Texas or Iowa State this week. And you seek out that opponent that will help you find your old friend: adversity. And Texas? Seriously? Wow! Also the sun rises in the east and Iowa always beats Iowa State early in the season. Carey also started drinking a big glass of whiskey during this podcast and was probably a bit drunk at the end.

| Postgame: Not what we expected in the opener. OU beats Tulane 40-35 | 05 Sep 2021 | 01:08:55 | |
Oklahoma opened the season Saturday afternoon in Norman. And what looked like a blowout turned into a nail biter. Oklahoma's offense went stale in the second half and the defense gave up enough to make it interesting. We're left scratching our heads to what we saw, what went wrong and what actually worked. We breakdown just about the entire roster and coaching staff in this edition of the Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast. OU wins 40-35, but it'll be a week of reflection around here. That's starts now.

| Oklahoma takes home Big 12 Championship | 20 Dec 2020 | 00:54:00 | |
After OU lost to Iowa State and started off their Big 12 Conference season 0-2, no one expected they would get a rematch in the Big 12 Championship game. But that's exactly what happened and the OU defense put up another monster performance up front and forced 3 interceptions out of Brock Purdy. Carey and Eddie breakdown Oklahoma's 27-21 over Iowa State and had out plenty of deserved praise. A bowl game will be announced soon and then the offseason could determine if these Sooners are going to head into 2021 as one of the favorites to win it all next year. The offense stalled, Lincoln Riley got too conservative and the game got close in the end. But the Sooners won it all again and continue marching forward to bigger and better victories in the future.

| OU overcomes massive absences on defense, still plays lights out | 06 Dec 2020 | 00:57:10 | |
Oklahoma beat Baylor 27-14 Saturday night in the final home game of this crazy 2020 season. It wasn't the type of game anyone expected. OU's defense was ravaged by missing starters and Robert Barnes was moved to a starting safety position after he was moved to linebacker this year. The offense sputtered through much of the game, the offensive line struggled and Baylor looked like a team that was capable of shocking the Sooners. But even with so many players out, OU's defense stepped up and carried the offense, 12-yard punts, turnovers in the endzone, missing coaches and everything thing else college football upset gods wanted to throw their way. Carey and Eddie break it all down in this edition of the Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast.

| Postgame: Bedlam beatdown as OU's offense proves it's legit | 22 Nov 2020 | 00:53:19 | |
It wasn't always easy, but Rhamondre Stevenson and the OU offense came alive at the end, and the OU defense held down the Oklahoma State Cowboys most of the day. Mike Gundy got wishy washy with his quarterbacks and Lincoln Riley looked like his vintage best self, dialing up some tricks and running circles around the Pokes on offense. Spencer Rattler had his best big game of his career and the OU pass rush made it impossible for OSU to get anything going offensively. The Sooners now control their own destiny as they work to get back to a Big 12 title game in Arlington. Eddie and Carey breakdown everything we saw Saturday night in a 41-13 beatdown in Norman.

| OU wins 62-9 over KU. Rattler gave us a scare and Stogner is a concern | 08 Nov 2020 | 00:54:48 | |
Lots of turnovers on both sides and even more replay delays made the first half disjointed and muddied. But the Sooners just kept rolling against Big 12 competition. Spencer Rattler gave everyone a scare with a bruised hip and Austin Stogner still is a concern. But the defensive line had its most dominant day yet and the defense beat up KU's quarterback all day long. Alex Grinch continues to get production out of his youth on defense and Oklahoma just pounded Kansas into submission Saturday afternoon in Norman. It was good to be home but another big one happens in two weeks. OU works to get back control over its own destiny against Oklahoma State. Carey, Eddie and Bob have your complete wrap-up.

| Jackson Arnold debut derailed by 6 turnovers | 29 Dec 2023 | 01:00:40 | |
The Sooners fall to Arizona 38-24 in a game that was as ridiculous as it was interesting. The Sooners committed 6 turnovers in the game. Three of those were interceptions by freshman phenom Jackson Arnold. So what happened? And what does this mean for this team moving forward? Where are the biggest issues on this team headed to 2024 and what can be fixed the most? Carey, Eddie and George convene for the last time from San Antonio to break it all down from the final stop of the 2023 football season. George is a little miffed about postgame media access as well.

The Sooners keep getting better after their 0-2 start. With a 62-28 win over Texas Tech, OU is putting together complete performances on both sides of the ball. And now that Ronnie Perkins and Rhamondre Stevenson are back, OU has more weapons than ever. An easy win over Texas followed a key loss by OSU to Texas. And Kansas State lost at West Virginia. The Sooners are just a couple of weeks from controlling their own destiny in the Big 12. Carey and Eddie breakdown what we saw tonight in Lubbock in this edition of the Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast.

| OU had an impressive weekend and we don't know how to feel | 24 Oct 2020 | 01:01:25 | |
The Sooners go into TCU and play their only complete Big 12 game of the year. They almost did it against Texas, but they fell apart near the end just like they did against Kansas State and Iowa State. The hope was OU could build on what they showed in the OT period against Texas. That's exactly what they did on defense as Alex Grinch got his team to play their most complete game of the season. Eddie and Carey break down what they saw from our studios in Norman while Bob slaved away on his keyboard from Ft. Worth. Join us in trying to figure out how to survive in this new world where OU football is giving you almost everything you want to see. It's a strange place for us to find ourselves. Also, Carey tries to defend the legacy of Chris Chester while simultaneously showing why no one , including himself, remembers Chris Chester all that well. It's the Eskridge Lexus Postgame Podcast from SoonerScoop.com!

| Oklahoma steals Red River victory from the jaws of defeat | 11 Oct 2020 | 00:43:50 | |
It was a crazy day as usual at the Cotton Bowl. OU appeared to have victory secured but the defense reverted to their form over the last two weeks. But did the Sooners start to find something on offense with Spencer Rattler and several receivers like Austin Stogner, Theo Wease and Drake Stoops? The defense used a lot of youngsters and it all looked really good. Lincoln Riley had a gut check as a coach. He wasn't perfect. He made some questionable decisions. But at least he hasn't been branded as a three time loser. Sam Ehlinger showed a lot of heart, but the OU defense won out in the end. The defensive line was really good again but the secondary joined in a little bit too. Eddie and Carey break it all down and we're ready for the bye week after a much needed win for Sooner fans.

| How bad is it going to get? Has Riley let the program slip? | 04 Oct 2020 | 01:01:01 | |
AMES, Iowa - Carey is in Ames where the Sooners took on the Cyclones and it once again did not go in OU's favor. We expected a rebound after Kansas State. But it seemed like much of the same in Ames. The offense wasn't resilient, the defense was bland and uninspiring. Even the special teams had a massive gaffe during the game at a critical moment. Carey, Eddie and Bob all join up to talk about the game and the repercussions mean for OU. How bad could this all get? Has the OU program become #soft? Texas, TCU and Oklahoma State are still on the schedule. There aren't a lot of guaranteed wins left for this Sooners team. Spencer Rattler was fine, the defensive line was good, but everyone else, get ready for a tongue lashing. We're headed for something really interesting with OU and 2020. We just don't know how interesting yet.
