Towards the end of the show, the guys will continue there player grades from the regular season and playoffs. Ekholm scores twice and the Oilers beat the Sabres22 Mar 202400:52:00

The Edmonton Oilers took down the Buffalo Sabres by a score of 8-3 last night. It was a weird one, as the Oilers scored 5 third period goals to close out the game. Mattias Ekholm had a great night with 2 goals, while Connor Brown even got in on the action... scoring his 2nd goal this season.

Tyler Yaremchuk will break down everything from last nights matchup during the Servus Credit Union scoring summary. Then, he'll pick his favourite Douglas Matttress moment of the game... and boy is there a few highlights to pick from.

We've even got a special guest today! As Sean Panganiban from the ON writing team will be riding shotgun all episode long. He's an awesome new writer here at the Nation, and will have lots to say regarding last night's victory.

Tyler Yaremchuk goes live for Oilersnation Everyday at noon on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. Want your thoughts on the show? Head to the Oilersnation YouTube channel during the live recording and leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat. Throughout the show, Tyler will interact with the live chat.

Taking on the Buffalo Sabres21 Mar 202400:52:56

The Edmonton Oilers go into the battle tonight versus the Buffalo Sabres, as they seek out their second win in a row. It was only a couple of weeks ago that these two teams met, which ended in bizarre fashion.

On Tuesday, the Oilers did not make it easy on themselves but they beat the Montreal Canadiens at Rogers Place. Leon Draisaitl scored the game winner in overtime. With that win, they stayed within eight points of the Vancouver Canucks for first in the Pacific Division, with three games in hand.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live for Oilersnation Everyday at noon on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. Want your thoughts on the show? Head to the Oilersnation YouTube channel during the live recording and leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat. Also, since today is a game day, Jay Downton joins the show for a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show edition of Oilersnation Everyday.

To close out the show, the guys go over the game notes by Jason Gregor from the Oilersnation site. Additionally, the game day Betway challenge continues with both Tyler and Liam coming off wins.

Adam Henrique scores his first & the Oilers win in OT20 Mar 202400:52:48

The Edmonton Oilers did not make it easy on themselves last night versus the Montreal Canadiens; however, they still managed to come away with maximum points. After leading 2-0 heading into the third period, a disappointing first ten minutes of the final frame allowed the Habs to claw there way back into the game. Despite the unexpected push back from Montreal, the Oilers star power came through when Leon Draisaitl sealed the two points on the powerplay in overtime.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin break down the game today at noon on Oilersnation Everyday over on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. They want to hear your thoughts too. During the show, head to the Oilersnation YouTube channel and leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat. Today, the guys are seeking their Great Clips inbox question of the day so don't hesitate to drop a comment.

Also on the show, head coach Kris Knoblauch unexpected changed his lines. Evander Kane was elevated to the first line and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins demoted to the third line. Derek Ryan and Troy Stetcher also checked into the lineup. Where these the right decision to make?

Later on, you will have the chance to win $25 to Nation Gear with Liam's Game. All you need to do is play along and guess which player Liam is describing. If you are one of the first three people to guess correctly, you will be put into a draw to win the Nation Gear gift card.

Taking on the Montreal Canadiens19 Mar 202400:57:17

The Edmonton Oilers three game home stand continues tonight when they host the Montreal Canadiens. The Oilers and Habs have met once already this season with Edmonton coming away with an overtime victory, which set a new franchise record for most wins in a row. The Oilers won't be setting any franchise long records tonight; however, they will look to get back into the win column after falling 3-2 in overtime to the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night.

Today's GIANT question is how long of a leash should the third line have? The guys chatted with Zach Laing about it yesterday but, if the underlying numbers for Adam Henrique, Evander Kane and Connor Brown, how can it be fixed?

A narrow defeat to the Colorado Avalanche18 Mar 202401:04:44

The Edmonton Oilers went toe-to-toe with the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night; however, a piece of magic from Nathan MacKinnon late into the overtime period proved to be the difference. Edmonton lost 3-2 but still hold firmly onto second in the Pacific Division and even tightened the gap over the Vancouver Canucks to six points with three games in hand.

Also, Warren Foegele is having a fantastic year as he heads into unrestricted free agency. He has found a groove with Leon Draisaitl on the second line, which few have been able to do. With that said, should the Oilers consider bringing him back? The market for players in his position is not great and you know what you have in Foegele. The big question is how much will he demand. Tyler and Liam will debate Foegele's future later on in the show.

A big weekend ahead versus Colorado15 Mar 202401:01:26

The Edmonton Oilers began their five game home stand on Wednesday with a 7-2 win over the Washington Capitals. It was a big night for Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid, who finished with multiple point performances, but the big new was Connor Brown scoring his first of the year.

Game two of that five game home stand gets underway tomorrow when they take on the Colorado Avalanche, which is also the first time Connor McDavid and Nathan MacKinnon go head-to-head this season. The Avalanche are coming into Edmonton on a five game win streak with wins over the Chicago Blackhawks, Detroit Red Wings, Minnesota Wild, Calgary Flames, and Vancouver Canucks. They currently sit first in the Central Division with the Winnipeg Jets and Dallas Stars hot on there tail.

Connor Brown breaks the curse14 Mar 202401:01:05

The Edmonton Oilers put a thumping on the Washington Capitals last night after an inconsistent first period. The Oilers came away with a 7-2 over Washington with Zach Hyman grabbing a hat trick, four points from Leon Draisaitl, and three points from Connor McDavid. However, the headline of the night was seeing Connor Brown scoring his first goal as an Edmonton Oiler and the crowd went bonkers for it.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live on the Oilersnation YouTube channel for Oilersnation Everyday at noon. Want to get your thoughts on the show? Head to the ON YouTube during the live show and leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat.

Later in the show, reports are swirling that the Oilers have interest in resigning Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick, after acquiring them from the Anaheim Ducks. What could those deals look like? Tyler and Liam will review what those contracts could look like with their Sherwood Ford GIANT question of the day.

Also on the show, you will hear from your favourite Oilers after last nights victory. Zach Hyman gave his thoughts on the fans celebration of Connor Brown's goal and also more from Brown on the feeling of finally breaking the deadlock on the season.

Edmonton take on Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals13 Mar 202401:00:29

The Edmonton Oilers finally get back on home ice tonight after a week away taking on the Boston Bruins, Columbus Blue Jackets, Buffalo Sabres and Pittsburgh Penguins. That road trip had mixed reviews from fans; however, they ultimately game away with five out of eight points, which is not all that bad.

Midway through that trip, the team was joined by Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick after being acquired from the Anaheim Ducks, and then later by Troy Stetcher from the Arizona Coyotes. Tonight will be the first time those players get the opportunity to play at Rogers Place when the team welcomes Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals to town.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live at noon for Oilersnation Everyday on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. During the show, they want to hear from you. You can leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat and interact with the guys throughout.

Also on the show, Washington Capitals beat writer Stephan Whyno joins Tyler and Liam. The guys will ask Stephen about the Capitals season so far and their chances of making the post season. Also, a big headline whenever Ovechkin is in town is his chase down of Wayne Gretzky for the most goals in the NHL history. They will get Stephan's thoughts on that pursuit too.

Finally, it has been a couple of weeks but Liam's game returns today. By playing along, you can win a $25 gift card to Nation Gear.

Are the Oilers a Western Conference powerhouse?12 Mar 202401:01:28

The Edmonton Oilers hit the ice for the first time since beating the Pittsburgh Penguins 4-0 on Sunday night. Tomorrow night, they will take on the Washington Capitals back at Rogers Place. It will be the second and final matchup between the two teams after the Oilers beat the Capitals 5-0 in their last meeting. Connor McDavid grabbed four assists that night and a pair of goals from Leon Draisaitl helped guide Edmonton to victory. Fingers crossed we see more of the same tomorrow night.

Until then, there is still plenty to talk about surrounding the Edmonton Oilers. Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live on the Oilersnation YouTube channel at noon for Oilersnation Everyday. During the show, they want to hear from you. Head to the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live to leave your questions, comments and concerns.

Also on today's show, even though the NHL trade deadline has passed the rumours continue to swirl around the NHL. Elliotte Friedman reported that Cody Ceci was not moved because his teammates like having him around. Is this the right approach from the Oilers or did they need to be more cut throat? Additionally, reports are coming out about another franchise head back to Atlanta and news dropped today about the 2024/25 NHL Global Series.

Finally, Tyler and Liam will review the Western Conference and find out where the Oilers rank amongst the rest.

A mixed weekend on the road for the Edmonton Oilers11 Mar 202400:58:45

The reviews were mixed over the weekend for the Edmonton Oilers. On one hand, they came out of a back-to-back weekend set with three points; however, on the other hand, they were easily could have found a way to come home with four.

First came a date with the Buffalo Sabres, which ended in bizarre fashion. Edmonton got goals from Ryan McLeod and Warren Foegele in the first period, after they were reunited on the second line with Leon Draisaitl. While that line was buzzing, the rest of the Oilers struggled to find a groove and allowed the Sabres back into the game. After 60 minutes the game was tied at two and in the overtime Owen Power scored the game winner. However, moments after everyone had turned their televisions off, the two teams made their way back on the ice after the goal was called offside. Despite that, Buffalo would win in a shootout.

Moving onto Sunday, the Oilers had more hop in their step. Calvin Pickard led the way between the pipes with a 40 save shutout, despite what the NHL site may tell you. Additioanlly, Edmonton got goals from Connor McDavid, who finished with three points, Mattias Ekholm and a pair from Darnell Nurse. The gap between themselves and the Los Angeles Kings now in the Pacific Division has increased to six points with 19 games to go.

Of course, the NHL trade deadline passed on Friday. Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will hand out their winners and losers from the deadline on Oilersnation Everyday over on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. The guys want you to be involved by leaving your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat.

No more trades!08 Mar 202400:36:24

The NHL trade deadline has come and gone. The Edmonton Oilers didn't make any deals today but managed to bring in Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick from the Anaheim Ducks and also Troy Stetcher from the Arizona Coyotes, without moving out any players.

What did you think of the deals that Ken Holland made? Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will go live on the Oilersnation YouTube channel for Oilersnation Everyday. They want to hear from you. Leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat.

The Oilers may not have been busy today but many other teams around the NHL made deals, including the Vegas Golden Knights. Somehow, the Golden Knights managed to acquire Tomas Hertl from the San Jose Sharks, who still has six years left on deal. The Sharks also retained 17% of his contract, despite the remaining years.

Also happening before the deadline, Jordan Eberle resigned with the Seattle Kraken, Matt Dumba moved to the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Winnipeg Jets added Tyler Toffoli to an already juiced forward group. Perhaps what was more interesting than what did happen on deadline day was what didn't happen. The Boston Bruins and Los Angeles Kings almost linked up on a massive blockbuster that just didn't quite get to the finish line according to our insider Frank Seravalli and teams like the New York Rangers, Vancouver Canucks, and Dallas Stars didn't make any additional moves on deadline day.

The Oilers stood pat on deadline day and considering what other teams in the Western Conference did accomplish, that feels underwhelming. Tyler and Liam broke that down and heard from the fans as they went deep into the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube Chat to let Oilers fans let out their frustrations with not just the Oilers lack of moves today but also the Golden Knights continued shenanigans.

The Jordan Eberle rumours heat up07 Mar 202401:12:19

The Edmonton Oilers made a big splash yesterday acquiring Adam Henrique and Sam Carrick from the Anaheim Ducks. While at the time that looked like the most significant move that general manager Ken Holland could make, rumours started this morning that the Oilers could look to reunite with Jordan Eberle from the Seattle Kraken.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live at noon for Oilersnation Everyday to discuss the possibility of this deal on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. They want to hear from you too. Chris Pronger joins the show & trade rumours04 Mar 202401:04:16

The Edmonton Oilers went into the weekend with two games on the schedule and came away with four points.

The first came on Saturday in what was a tightly contested game versus the Seattle Kraken. Brett Kulak was the unexpected hero in the 2-1 victory. The following night was a much different game versus the Pittsburgh Penguins with the Oilers dominating Sidney Crosby's squad 6-1.

Two very different games for the Oilers but the same outcome, which is the most important thing. With the two wins, Edmonton now moves ahead of the Vegas Golden Knights in the Pacific Division. They now trail the Vancouver Canucks by nine points with four games in hand. Can they do it?

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will discuss the Pacific Division race today at noon on Oilersnation Everyday. You can leave your thoughts during the live show in the Charm Diamond Centre YouTube chat. Your questions, comments and concerns are wanted throughout the duration of the show.

Tyler and Liam sat down with former Edmonton Oilers defenceman Chris Pronger. The three of them discussed his time in Edmonton, his experience at the 2010 Winter Olympics with Team Canada and his new whiskey "The JRNY".

Later in the show, the trade rumours continue to swirl with the deadline approaching this week. What could Edmonton do? Tyler and Liam will discuss some of the possibilities available to Ken Holland.

Two big games for the Copper and Blue, who are now one point behind Vegas Golden Knights and 11 away from the Vancouver Canucks after their loss to the Los Angeles Kings last night.

A big win over the Blues & Colby Cohen joins the show29 Feb 202400:55:18

The Edmonton Oilers did not make it easy on themselves last night versus the St Louis Blues. Despite that, they managed to come away with a 3-2 overtime win to move within a point of the Vegas Golden Knights in the Pacific Division.

Goals from Robert Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich gave the Blues a 2-0 lead early in the game. However, the Oilers managed to battle back thanks to two goals from Zach Hyman. The Oilers forward moved his goal tally up to 40 after his performance last night for the first time in his career. Nothing was solved after 60 minutes extending the game and then Connor McDavid, known more for his passing, finished off the game ending a ten game goalless draught.

Looking to make it two in a row versus the Blues28 Feb 202400:57:27

The Edmonton Oilers have put their fans on a rollercoaster ride the past few weeks. Thankfully. they got back to winning ways on Monday, defeating the Los Angeles Kings 4-2 at Rogers Place. Tonight, Edmonton looks for their second win in a row when they host the St Louis Blues.

The Oilers recently made the trip down to St Louis and it did not go well for them, falling 6-3. A terrible second period set the team up for failure and there was no coming back from there. A much needed win against the LA Kings27 Feb 202400:59:53

The Edmonton Oilers put an end to their three game losing streak last night with a 4-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings at Rogers Place.

It did not start well for the Oilers who found themselves down 1-0 heading towards the end of the first. Trevor Moore capitalized on a couple of mistakes giving the Kings a strong start. Edmonton fought back with a great goal from Zach Hyman but not long into the second a mistake from Evan Bouchard gave the Kings a gift of a goal. A big third period from Edmonton helped them come away with a victory thanks to goals from Bouchard and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins late in the period.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live on the Oilersnation YouTube for Oilersnation Everyday at noon. What were your thoughts on the game? Leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centre YouTube live chat throughout the show. Your opinions are strongly encouraged during the duration of Oilersnation Everyday.

Oilersnation contributor Bruce Curlock joins Tyler and Liam midway through the show. A few players have taken a step recently including local product Carter Savoie. Bruce will give his thoughts on Savoie's play along with who could come up and help Edmonton. Additionally, what players have value in Bakersfield? Bruce will give us the inside scoop.

Finally, today's Sherwood Ford GIANT question surrounds the Oilers deadline plans. Speculation started yesterday that Ken Holland may have changed his plans after the Oilers recent skid.

A disappointing weekend versus Minnesota & Calgary26 Feb 202400:56:54

The Edmonton Oilers woes continued over the weekend following back to back loses extending their losing streak to three. Over those two games, the Oilers allowed 10 goals while countering with only five.

The first defeat came on Friday night falling 4-2 to the Minnesota Wild. Edmonton piled 40 shots onto Filip Gustavsson but only Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman managed to beat him. Meanwhile, the Wild only had 19 shots on Calvin Pickard with three beating him and then later adding an empty net goal too.

Moving onto Saturday, the Oilers came out flat versus the Calgary Flames in the Battle of Alberta going down 3-1 after 20 minutes. It continued to get worse for the Oilers with the Flames scoring three more in comparison to the Oilers two.

It is safe to say not a lot went right for Edmonton over the weekend. Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live for Oilersnation Everyday at noon to break everything down. Throughout the show, it is encouraged that you leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centre YouTube live chat from what you watched over the weekend.

A wild Friday night versus Minnesota23 Feb 202401:00:35

Tonight, the Edmonton Oilers host the Minnesota Wild at Rogers Place for their second home game in three nights. The two Western Conference opponents have faced off twice this season with each team grabbing two points.

The Wild are heading into this Friday night game off the back of a 6-3 loss to the Winnipeg Jets. However, it was just this past Monday that they put ten by the Vancouver Canucks on home ice. Kirill Kaprizov leads the charge for Minnesota with 24 goals and 59 points in 49 games. However, the biggest story out of the State of Hockey this season is the play of Brock Faber who is neck and neck with Connor Bedard for the Calder Trophy.

Of course, the Edmonton Oilers fell 6-5 in overtime to the Boston Bruins on Wednesday in a thrilling game. Today's main objective is to have a strong second period because recently it has been just awful.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live for Oilersnation Everyday at noon on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. They will preview tonight's action down at Rogers Place with help from Jay Downton for a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show edition of Oilersnation Everyday. If you have anything you'd like to contribute to the conversation, leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centre YouTube chat.

Edmonton fall short of a comeback versus Boston22 Feb 202400:58:55

The Edmonton Oilers fought back last night versus the Boston Bruins but couldn’t find a way to leave the rink with two points. Instead, they fell 6-5 in overtime after being down 4-1 in the second period, so grabbing one point isn’t so bad. However, what was bad was the play in the middle 20 which is happening too often right now.

Lots of storylines came from last night including Warren Foegele's play in the top six. Should Kris Knoblauch look to keep him there permanently? Additionally, Cody Ceci had another difficult night. It might be time to move on from him if Chris Tanev is a real option for this team.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin break down last nights highly entertaining game live at noon on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. Throughout the show, they want to hear from you. Leave your questions, comments, and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat and make sure to subscribe.

Later in the show, Frank Seravalli released his new Daily Faceoff trade targets list. Jake Guentzel climbed up on list to #3 behind only the Calgary Flames defensive duo of Noah Hanifin and Chris Tanev. Brett Kulak is the only Oiler only the list, which he was last time, sitting at #22. Tyler and Liam will go through the list and give their thoughts on where the Oilers should go shopping.

You can expect all of that and more on today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday.

It was an incredible trip and we can't thank everyone enough for coming on the trip but also everyone that joins us at Devil's Advocate. It was a trip nobody at Oilersnation is going to forget anytime soon.

Later in the show, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff joins the guys. We are 16 days away from the NHL trade deadline which should suggests trades start happening more frequently. What are the Oilers going to do? Frank will give us some insight on Ken Holland's plans heading into the March 8th deadline.

The Oilers lost and we are sad16 Feb 202400:55:52

The Edmonton Oilers haven't been the same since returning from the NHL All Star break and last night was no different. Despite leading 2-1 after 20 minutes, the Oilers lost 6-3 to the St Louis Blues after taking eight minor penalties through 60 minutes of play. Connor McDavid had a hand in all three Oilers goals taking his points tally to 80 on the season. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Leon Draisaitl and Corey Perry, his first as an Oiler, all scored in the defeat.

So what now for Edmonton? Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live today at noon for Oilersnation Everyday over on the Oilersnation YouTube channel. Head there at noon to interact with the two of them throughout the show. You can leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centre YouTube live chat. Your thoughts are encouraged throughout the show.

For today's Sherwood Ford GIANT question is a This or That segment from Tyler. The segment resolves around the trade deadline, fan hypotheticals and life. Make sure you're playing along in the Charm Diamond Centre YouTube chat.

As we all the trade deadline is quickly approaching. Who is the answer to the Oilers prayers? Is Nic Dowd the plan? Should the Oilers pursue somebody to help their top six? How can they improve the blueline? Tyler and Liam will discuss those topics later in the show too.

You can expect all of that and more on today's episode of Oilersnation Everyday.

Edmonton looks for back-to-back wins after Connor McDavid took the game over in the third period versus the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday night. McDavid hits a milestone & Frank Seravalli joins14 Feb 202401:00:03

The Edmonton Oilers started to look more like themselves last night, specifically in the third period. The second period; however, they looked more like Edmonton from first 11 games of the year, which wasn't good. Lots of turnovers and lots puck battles allowed the Detroit Red Wings to claw there way back into game. Despite that, Connor McDavid did what he does best.

The Oilers scored five goals in the third period and the Oilers captain played a role in four of them. McDavid secured his 600th career assist in 618 games, making him the fourth fastest player in NHL history to achieve that milestone. Evan Bouchard and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins each finished with three points each, with both players scoring goals. Additionally, Cody Ceci ended his goal drought and Leon Draisaitl had a pair of points. Vincent Desharnais, Dylan Holloway, Evander Kane and Zach Hyman all scored a point in the win.

Back on home ice & Klim Shady returns13 Feb 202400:55:24

The Edmonton Oilers are back on the home ice for the first time since returning from the NHL All Star break.

First came a 3-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, ending their franchise record 16 game win streak, which was then followed by an up and down weekend in California. On Friday night, Edmonton did come away with a 5-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks; however, they trailed three times in that game and it wasn’t until the third period that they came alive. Then on Saturday, it was an extremely flat effort offensively from the Copper and Blue resulting in 4-0 spanking from the Los Angeles Kings.

Tonight, it's the Detroit Red Wings who in town, which also means the return of Klim Kostin. The Red Wings are coming off an impressive 4-3 overtime versus the Vancouver Canucks. An up and down weekend for the Edmonton Oilers12 Feb 202400:59:03

The Edmonton Oilers return from the NHL All Star break hasn't gone as planned. First came a 3-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, ending their franchise record 16 game win streak, which was then followed by an up and down weekend in California.

On Friday night, Edmonton did come away with a 5-3 win over the Anaheim Ducks; however, they trailed three times in that game and it wasn't until the third period that they came alive. Then on Saturday, it was an extremely flat effort offensively from the Copper and Blue resulting in 4-0 spanking from the Los Angeles Kings.

What has happened to this team since returning from their break? Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live today on the Oilersnation YouTube channel to discuss the past weekend of Oilers hockey on Oilersnation Everyday. You can take part in the show by leaving your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat.

Today's Sherwood Ford GIANT question is can the Oilers move past the deadline with the bottom six the way it is? Only Derek Ryan scored a point over the weekend, which came on the empty net goal from Evander Kane versus the Ducks. Should Warren Foegele go back to the second line to replace Corey Perry? Lots of question still being asked of the forward group with less than a month until the trade deadline.

Finally, the Servus Credit Union mock trade machine spat out a big one today. Could Jake Guentzel become an Oiler if Ken Holland sent him a similar package to what Philadelphia received for Claude Giroux?

An Oilers gameday & Ryan Whitney joins the show09 Feb 202401:03:42

The Edmonton Oilers get back on the ice tonight versus the Anaheim Ducks. Their 16 game win streak game to an end on Tuesday night versus the Vegas Golden Knights, one win away from tying the league record set by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the early nineties. Tonight, they get the chance to restart the streak against another divisional opponent.

The Oilers have handled the Ducks with ease so far this season. First was an 8-2 victory at Rogers Place in late November led by a five point game from Connor McDavid. The second game came on New Year's Eve when the Oilers beat Anaheim 7-2 and on that night Warren Foegele finished with five points. Could we see that trend continue tonight?

To get your ready for the action, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin go live at noon on the Oilersnation YouTube channel for Oilersnation Everday. Since it's a game day, today's show is a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game show which also means Jay Downton joins Tyler and Liam. If you have something you'd like to contribute to the show, head to the Charm Diamond Centres live chat on YouTube to leave your questions, comments and concerns.

Deadline plans & Pete Blackburn joins the show08 Feb 202400:55:50

The Edmonton Oilers aren't in action until tomorrow when they look to get back into the win column versus the Anaheim Ducks. Until then, Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will keep you entertained with another edition of Oilersnation Everyday.

Earlier this morning, Frank Seravalli from Daily Faceoff dropped an updated version of his trade targets lists. There's a new number one with Elias Lindholm now off the board and it goes to his former teammate Noah Hanifin. Only one Edmonton Oilers player is on the list and that goes to Brett Kulak. Could that be an indication of how the Oilers make money work this trade deadline?

Also on the show, Tyler and Liam will each give their three realistic trade targets for the Oilers. If you want to play along and give your targets, head to the Oilersnation YouTube channel during the show and leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond Centres YouTube live chat.

Pete Blackburn from the "What Chaos!" podcast joins Tyler and Liam on the show today. Welcome in to another summer edition of Oilersnation Everyday. Tyler Yaremchuk is back from his golf vacation, so the duo of Tyler and Liam are back in the Sports Closet Studio together for the first time in a while.

With the news that Stan Bowman and general manager spot now secured for the long term, the attention in Oil Country has now turned to Leon Draisaitl's next contract. Zach Hyman is next up on the grading list. Hyman had a fantastic regular season scoring over 50 goals, which was a career high, alongside Connor McDavid. The Vegas Golden Knights end the streak07 Feb 202400:59:27

The Edmonton Oilers 16 game win streak came to an end last night, falling 3-1 to the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena. The Oilers held a 1-0 lead but the Golden Knights clawed their way back into the game with three goals and walked away with two points.

Connor McDavid got the scoring started shorthanded and the game looked to be in Edmonton's favour. The Oilers took control in the second period; however, many great saves from Adin Hill and a couple of posts from McDavid and Evan Bouchard prevented Edmonton from expanding their lead. Nicolas Roy tied the game for Vegas and then a goal early in the third period from Chandler Stephanson gave the Golden Knights a 2-1 lead. The win was sealed when William Karlsson scored on an empty net.

Back from the NHL All Star05 Feb 202400:58:37

The NHL All Star break has come to an end, and it's fair to say it was a successful event. The fantasy draft on Friday was a bit of a dull; however, the entertainment value picked up on Friday with the Skills Competition which then bled into the game on Saturday. While it wasn't perfect, it was much better than previous years.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin experienced the NHL All Star game in Toronto first hand. They'll give there thoughts of the experience of being in an All Star and the everything that goes on surrounding the event. Along with that, they want to hear your thoughts on the event. Head to the Oilersnation YouTube channel to leave your thoughts on the Charm Diamond live chat.

Of course, now that the All Star break is over, the Edmonton Oilers get back on the ice tomorrow to face the Vegas Golden Knights. If the Oilers win, they would tie the league record for the most wins in a row which is 17 set by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the early 90s. Can they do it? Only time will tell.

Later in the show, our very own Bruce Curlock joins Tyler and Liam. With Bruce, they'll talk about whats been happening with the Bakersfield Condors as of late. Is Jack Campbell ready for a call up? How is Phillip Broberg playing? Is it time to move on from Xavier Bourgault?

You can expect all of that and more on Oilersnation Everyday.

Everyone makes moves...besides the Oilers02 Feb 202401:00:21

It was a busy day around the NHL; however, the Edmonton Oilers stand pat as the NHL All Star break gets into full swing.

The news day in the NHL kicked off with Sean Monahan moving to the Winnipeg Jets for a first and third pick. Did the Jets overpay? Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin dive into on today's show and want to hear from you. Head to the Oilersnation YouTube channel and leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Charm Diamond live chat throughout the show.

Shortly after that, former Oilers head coach Todd McLellan was dismissed by the Los Angeles Kings, who have struggled mightily in the early portion of 2024. What is the next move for the Kings and how does this now affect the Oilers?

Finally, the league announced a couple of international tournaments. The league is now allowed players to go to the Olympics in 2026 and 2030, which means fans can finally see a best on best style of hockey on the world stage. Before the Olympics, fans get a little tease in 2025 when the league will have Team Canada, Team USA, Team Sweden and Team Finland go head to head as a replacement of the NHL All Star game.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will take a look at what happened in the All Star fantasy draft. Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl teamed up to select there roster for the weekend. They went with Connor Hellebuyck with their first pick and then proceed to take David Pastrnak, Rasmus Dahlin, Robert Thomas, Sam Reinhart, Sergei Bobrovsky, Boone Jenner, Nick Suzuki, and Tomas Hertl.

It's a loaded show today so join the boys right from the start to get everything covered.

Live from NHL All Star weekend with Luke Gazdic01 Feb 202400:48:15

The NHL All Star break is in full swing in Toronto with the festivities kicking off tonight with the fantasy draft.

While the break is underway, the Calgary Flames and the Vancouver Canucks dropped a bomb last night with Elias Lindholm heading to the West Coast. The Flames acquired Andrei Kuzmenko in the deal, who had 39 goals last season, along with two prospects and two picks including a first. With the number one player now off the market, how does this affect the Edmonton Oilers trade deadline plans?

Reports are coming out that the Oilers have shown interest in Anaheim Ducks forward Adam Henrique. Henrique has almost 900 games played in the NHL and would add plenty of depth to an already deep centre group in Edmonton.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will give their thoughts on the possibility of adding a Henrique along with reviewing the big trade between the two Pacific Division rivals live on Oilersnation Everyday. Jay Downton will jump on the show too giving his thoughts on the trade and the festivities around NHL All Star weekend. Throughout the show, leave your questions, comments and concerns in the YouTube live chat.

Later in the show, former Edmonton Oilers forward Luke Gazdic joins the three of them live in person. With Gazdic, they'll talk about the trade, the Oilers 16 game win streak and Jay will float his idea of acquiring Sidney Crosby from the Pittsburgh Penguins.

It's a show you won't want to miss!

If you have some ideas, leave your questions, comments and concerns in the live chat during the live recording of Oilersnation Everyday on the Oilersnation YouTube. The Edmonton Oilers made it 14 wins in a row last night, defeating the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-1. The scoreline may suggest that Edmonton breezed to victory; however, it wasn't until they woke up in the third period that they took over the game.

Warren Foegele scored the opening goal with his 10th goal of the season. The Blue Jackets piled on the pressure and eventually scored their own goal from Dmitry Voronkov. Columbus put Edmonton on the back foot for the first 40 minutes, and if it wasn't for Stuart Skinner the Oilers may have been down by a few heading into the third. The Oilers finally woke up in the third period with goals from Evander Kane, Connor McDavid and Dylan Holloway to guide them to their 14th win in a row.

Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will breakdown everything that happened last night in Rogers Place. Going for win #14 versus the Blue Jackets23 Jan 202401:01:00

The Edmonton Oilers are going for their 14th win in a row tonight when they host the Columbus Blue Jackets. The win streak has turned the Oilers season around and guided them into third in the Pacific Division ahead of the Los Angeles Kings.

Yesterday, it was made official that Corey Perry is the newest member of the Edmonton Oilers. However, don't expect to see him in the lineup tonight against the Blue Jackets. Instead, he'll suit up versus the Nashville Predators on Saturday meaning tonights roster should stay the same minus a potential change between the pipes.

Of course, today is a game day which means its a Sherwood Ford GIANT Pre Game edition of Oilersnation Everyday. Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will be around to discuss the action but they will also be joined by Jay Downton, who makes his return to the show. If you have something you'd like to contribute to today's episode, leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Finning/CAT YouTube live chat. Your thoughts are always welcomed throughout the show.

Later on in the show, Tyler has a Sherwood Ford GIANT question for everyone. Which Blue Jackets players should be a deadline possibility for the Edmonton Oilers? Could it be Boone Jenner? Alexander Texier? Elvis Merzlikins? The Blue Jackets definitely have a few options for Ken Holland to look at.

Corey Perry is an Edmonton Oiler | Oilersnation Everyday with Tyler Yaremchuk Jan 2222 Jan 202401:00:01

Speculation has brewed for a many weeks now, but the Edmonton Oilers made it official this morning signing Corey Perry to a one year league minimum contract. Perry played 16 games for the Chicago Blackhawks scoring four goals and nine points.

The signing fills a hole in the Oilers bottom six and on the right winger. Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will give their thoughts on the signing but they want to hear from you too. Head to the Oilersnation YouTube channel and leave your thoughts in the Finning/CAT YouTube live chat. Your questions, comments and concerns are welcome throughout the show.

Also on the show, Edmonton made it 13 wins in a row beating their provincial rivals the Calgary Flames 3-1 at the Saddledome. Ryan McLeod got the scoring started for Edmonton before Mackenzie Weegar tied the game up at one. However, the ageless wonder, Sam Gagner regained the lead for Edmonton in his return to the lineup. Zach Hyman gave the team an insurance goal with an empty netter with his 28th goal of the season.

Later on, Jonny Lazerus from Morning Cuppa Hockey joins the show. With the Johnny, the three of them will talk about the Corey Perry signing, the Oilers 13 game win streak along with the New York Islanders coaching change and the New York Rangers inconsistencies. Edmonton comes from behind to beat Seattle19 Jan 202400:33:15

The Edmonton Oilers extended their win streak to 12 last night with a 4-2 victory over the Seattle Kraken. However, they didn't make it easy on themselves allowing the Kraken get ahead 2-0 after 20 minutes of play.

The fight back started with a timely goal from Warren Foegele scoring less than 30 seconds into the second period. Later on, Foegele scored again this time on a breakaway for his 9th of the season. Leon Draisaitl and Zach Hyman got in on the action, too, giving the Oilers a 4-2 victory and their 12th win in a row.

Beside the come back, the other headline came late in the game. After getting frustrated from a miscall, Yanni Gourde let emotions get the best of him and laid a huge hit on Mattias Ekholm, making contact with the head. In replays, you could see Gourde left his feet to make the hit which resulted in a five-minute major for charging. Today, news broke that Gourde now has a hearing with the department of player safety.

What did you think of the hit and now the potential punishment? Tyler Yaremchuk and Liam Horrobin will talk about that hit and more on Oilersnation Everyday over on the Oilersnation YouTube at noon. Throughout the show, leave your questions, comments and concerns in the Booster Juice live chat.
