We struggle to say anything unkind about Sofia Coppola's father in his repeat performance for THE GODFATHER saga (that can wait for Part 3) but we do our best to separate this film from the rest in the series as it is now the first film representing 1974 in our series on The Greatest Years in Film.

The few (and I do mean few) ideas we have for improvement on Mr. Hanks second time in the director's chair:

• Speaking of Ms. Grier why is there not a buddy comedy pairing with Judy Greer as THE BEST BEST FRIENDS?
• If you find yourself in a romantic pairing with Bryan Cranston's porn addiction does that make Tom Hanks ass more palatable? Further butt shots are needed.
• And is Rami Malek's performance in this more Oscar worthy than BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY? Likely.

Such is the greatness that is LARRY CROWNE that we will never have all of our questions (or concerns) answered but we keep rewatching it just for you the listener!

That is one of many of the charming qualities of Greta Gerwig's BARBIE along with other universal treasures. Such as!

• Ryan Gosling going full CRAZY, STUPID, LOVE.
• As much of the color pink as your eyeballs can take (and take those IMAX screens back from that grump, Nolan.)
• At one point there is a merman. (Maybe that's just one of the show note author's universal treasures.)

However no film is perfect and one host doesn't much care for how the production of this film neglected the new and already forgotten season of PROJECT GREENLIGHT. This podcast can provide that criticism and probably only this podcast. Enjoy!
