But as they tackle this local trouble, the weight of much larger requests from the town elders begins to bear down on their shoulders. Can they balance the immediate crises with the heavier burdens of leadership, or will the strain prove too much?

After a harrowing night filled with unsettling nightmares, the heroes awaken to find the eastern path mysteriously impassable as well. Turning back, they encounter the wayward couple from the Samni Estate, their experience adding credence to the protector's own. But just as they race to return, Ari is ambushed by a horrifying fungal monster, forcing the party into a desperate fight for survival!

With the final monstrous ringleaders defeated, Willowshore begins the long process of rebuilding. As a traveling merchant arrives in town, the party falls into the age-old tabletop tradition of deliberating endlessly over what to buy, what to do, and what they truly need. Eventually, Granny Hu seeks them out with an urgent request: the town needs ambassadors to journey to the neighboring settlement of Karahai. Reluctantly, the heroes set off, but what awaits them at the end of the road is something that will change the course of their adventure forever.

Finally arriving at the teahouse and slaying a giant toad, the party begins to spread itself a little thin as they sprawl across the two-tiered building. Will their lack of tactics allow them to overcome what may be their toughest encounter yet?

Kicking off the day with a bit of mischief, the party raids the local wizard’s shop, determined to find something—anything—to help Belrik recover. With new spoils in hand, they move on to the town barracks, sifting through supplies and eventually deciding the guards could use their help. Ari stinks! Finally, the party makes it to the teahouse.

Despite Tony’s out-of-pocket opener, the heroes push forward, undeterred by the rough start. As they venture deeper into downtown Willowshore, an obnoxious and rattling noise brings them to a halt, forcing them to attempt stealth mode. But nothing could prepare them for what they find: a grim and twisted parade winding through the streets, and at its heart, a loved one displayed as the unwilling centerpiece. With tension mounting and horror in the air, the heroes must navigate this nightmare without losing their cover—or their nerve.

Meanwhile, the obnoxious gremlins continue their relentless mischief, stirring up trouble at every turn. But the threats don’t end there—kappas have infiltrated the town bathhouse! With the bridge reclaimed and the Eternal Lantern rekindled, the heroes prepare to venture deeper into the heart of Willowshore. But instead of clarity, they find only more mysteries lurking in the shadows of downtown. The most upsetting discovery is the sodden wreckage of Gardis’ bar the Bearded Boar. As questions pile up and secrets unravel, the heroes face a town on the edge, where every answer seems to lead to an even darker revelation. Can they piece together what’s truly threatening Willowshore, or will they be swept up in the chaos gathering around them?

In this fast-paced episode, Osu makes a bold move, tossing the precious blessed coins into the river to protect his allies. Spurred by the sacrifice, the heroes race through the southside of town, blessing coins at every turn, their methodical approach putting their previous efforts to shame. With their preparations finally complete, they head to  Dawnstep Bridge for a showdown with the loitering monsters. Will they be able to face down this foe and relight the Eternal Lantern?

Exhausted but victorious, the heroes limp back to Granny Hu's with her rescued grandchildren in tow. As they gather around her hearth, bruised and weary, they share a rare quiet moment, taking turns to open up. At dawn, with renewed purpose, they set off toward the old dam, where they are set upon by wolves. However, these dangers pail compared to the dangers that await our heroes at the dam.

After a tense visit to The Hand of Spring to secure the coveted drugs, our heroes encounter a chaotic sense: mischievous gremlins harassing a lone hunter stranded in Willowshore. Tricking the pests and moving on to meet another town elder. She has lost contact with her teenage grandchildren. Wishing to ingratiate themselves they set out to find the wayward youths.
