What I do when customers stop clicking
-
How to avoid repeating the same mistakes next quarter
Enjoy these 3 things plus many nuggets along the way.

AppSumo Is at War
Épisode 381
mercredi 22 octobre 2025 • Durée 18:29
The past few months at AppSumo have been brutal. People are voting with their wallets and return buyers are down 40%. We lost some of the trust we spent years building and drifted from what made us great. But the fire in my belly is back and I'm going to war for what we do best.
I'm turning the battleship back towards curating high-quality tools that people actually love and I'm taking you inside the war room. In this episode, I share what's working, what's not and what I'm learning.
If you've ever run a company or have just gone through a tough season, you'll love this one
In this conversation, you'll enjoy 3 BIG things:
-
Why simplicity and focus is the best strategy when things get messy.
-
How direct conversations with customers and partners can rebuild trust
-
Why curating truly great products (not just more of them) is key to winning back customers
Enjoy these 3 things plus plenty of spicy behind-the-scenes stories along the way.

How to Be a Blue Collar Millionaire (w/ Larry Janesky)
Épisode 279
mercredi 21 décembre 2022 • Durée 01:00:20
Larry Janesky came from humble beginnings. No one in his family went to college, and he didn't have the money to go to college, either. So he started his own carpentry business straight out of high school and expanded that business into a multimillion dollar home improvement empire.
Today, his company Contractor Nation fixes people's homes—but there's a lot more to it than that. Larry has created an intricate business model and started a product dealer network to have as much control over the supply chain as possible.
Plus, Larry also has a digital marketing agency, over 32 patented products, 1600+ employees, and runs an entrepreneurship school for anyone who wants to learn how to do what he did.
If you've ever wanted to learn about how to start a multimillion dollar business WITHOUT going to college, you'll love this episode.

Building a 1.6 Billion Dollar Business - Auction.com
jeudi 15 décembre 2022 • Durée 38:57
Robert D. Friedman is most well-known for being the co-founder of Auction.com, one of the largest real estate auction firms in the United States.
Rob is definitely one of those guys that learned more by doing than by studying in a classroom. He started an auto repair shop at the age of 19 making $100k/year, and then he used that as a springboard to start many other business ventures, mostly in the real estate industry.
He has been working with his business partner, Jeffrey Frieden, for over 40 years. And together, they have participated in thousands of real estate transactions, grossing billions in sales.
Rob is also involved in various charitable organizations. One of his proudest achievements is starting a school in Nicaragua called veraschool.org that educates bright, young girls in underserved communities. Go check that out to see how you can help.
