Chad can now add successful author to his resume as he discusses his recently released novel, Showmance.

We are celebrating SPRING and the opening of the new Broadway musical SMASH! Spring is always equated with renewal and a sense of rebirth, and each year on Broadway, it means several opening nights. KRISTIN HANGGI BIO...

She is best known for directing and developing the international smash-hit Rock of Ages, which received five Tony Award nominations, including a nomination for Best Direction of a Musical. She has directed productions of Rock of Ages all over the world, including Broadway and the West End. Ms. Hanggi's developed and directed the acclaimed pop opera bare, which ran to sold-out audiences in Los Angeles and off-Broadway, won numerous awards and has gone on to have over 500 productions internationally.

As a film director, Kristin directed Naomi & Ely's No Kiss List, an adaption of Rachel Cohn & David Levithan's popular novel of the same name, starring Victoria Justice. She made her feature directorial debut in 2013 with the indie Grantham & Rose. For television, Ms. Hanggi adapted and directed the hit book series, Dear Dumb Diary into a musical movie, under Executive Producer Jerry Zucker for Walden Media. She also recently directed an episode on the upcoming Netflix musical series Julie and the Phantoms.

A partial list of past stage productions include: Clueless; Accidentally Brave; Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion; Atlantis; Pirate La Dee Da; the initial production that launched the Pussycat Dolls, Pussycat Dolls Live at the Roxy. Ms. Hanggi graduated with her Masters from USC after receiving her Bachelors from UCLA in Theater. In June of 2013, Kristin returned to her alma mater when she received the UCLA School of Theater, Film, & Television Distinguished Alumni Award. Kristin has a love of music, and has directed multiple music videos and short films. She hosts a weekly podcast with her best friend Natalie Roy called “Let’s Play: The CREATE Podcast” on spirituality, creativity, and play.

Her book God, Sex, and Musical Theatre was published in 2020.

Last week we celebrated WICKED, this week we celebrate Christmas and Kristy Cates! On this episode, Landyn sits down with Broadway actor, professor, mother, and fabulous friend, Kristy Cates. Kristy is an "OG" Elphaba, as she was in the original Broadway cast of WICKED.

She portrayed Elphaba on Broadway, Chicago, and the 1st National Tour. Kristy has also appeared in FINDING NEVERLAND and CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY on Broadway, in addition to several Off-Broadway and Regional productions throughout the country. Currently, she is the Head of the College of Performing Arts at the New York Film Academy.

Besides this brilliant and insightful interview, AJ brings us a new installment of "Hot Takes," where he states why he is no longer a dog person. It might have something to do with the "hate crimes" his dog has been committing over the past few days. All of this and, of course, "The Word of the Day" on an all new...NO FUCKS LEFT.

In this very special episode, we depart a bit from our regularly scheduled programming. Landyn experiments with a new concept entitled " Back to Before" and interviews her high school choir teacher, Laurel Kaiser. This concept evolved as Landyn has been diligently putting many pieces of her life together and how that informs who she is now. When discussing her high school years and life in her hometown, there was no other guest she could think of to start with. Mrs. Kaiser was a mentor, mother figure, close friend, and confidante who knew her better than her parents at times. 

Before the interview, this episode starts with a very raw, real, emotional, and unfiltered monologue focusing purely on her gender journey. Beginning at around age 4, Landyn explains many aspects of what her path toward authenticity has looked like as she speaks from the heart. She reveals many things, that in some cases, she has never discussed with anyone else. It's a fascinating and insightful episode that you and your friends will not want to miss.
