Day In The Life: Work, Motherhood and Wellness (Voice Log)
vendredi 11 septembre 2026 • Durée 41:29
Episode 26. Juggling being a business owner, content creator, and stay at home mom. Allison often gets asked how she manages running her brands remotely, keeps active, and raises a baby abroad without daycare or family nearby. This episode shows an unfiltered inside look into a typical full Thursday in Haarlem from morning to night.
Starting the day with Hayes crawling all over her while she’s getting ready, to a coffee shop remote-work power session to get her stores marketing campaign created and executed, to editing this episode during nap time.
Then a nice afternoon with outside time, chores around the house, a baby playdate at a local kids cafe, a gym session with Hayes, and biking 13 miles without even trying. Ending the day with a delicious family dinner, homemade banana popsicles and a candlelit work session.
Listeners will get an inside perspective on what creating a balanced day looks like for Allison. Not perfect, but functional and genuinely enjoyable most of the time. An entertaining listen for anyone curious about small business ownership, life abroad, or navigating motherhood while working from home.

Protecting Your Peace: The Real Cost of a Regulated Nervous System
Saison 1 · Épisode 25
mercredi 9 septembre 2026 • Durée 29:12
Episode 25. Everyone talks about regulating your nervous system ~ but what does that actually mean and why does it matter so much? In this value packed episode, Allison breaks down what stress really is, the difference between good stress and bad stress, and why chronic dysregulation has consequences far beyond just feeling anxious. It has measurable impacts on your immune system, brain function, long term health and relationships.
She also gets into something that doesn’t get discussed enough: having a regulated nervous system isn’t free. It costs you effort, boundaries, healing, saying no, overcoming people pleasing tendencies, and constant conscious work. Understanding co-regulation (the neuroscience behind why nervous system states are genuinely contagious) means recognizing that you shouldn’t give your hard earned peace away to everyone who asks for it.
Just like you lock your front door or protect your finances, your inner calm deserves that same level of intention and protection. Allison covers practical tools to add to your regulation toolkit, how to recognize dysregulation across the eight dimensions of wellness, and why reducing your daily mental load through systems and routines is one of the most underrated regulation strategies available.
Signature 444 Journal Prompt / Reflections:What are four physical signs that tell you your nervous system is dysregulated? What are four things that reliably bring you back to regulation? What are four people or environments that tend to dysregulate you?

A Very Serendipitous 48 Hours (Voice Log)
Saison 1 · Épisode 24
vendredi 4 septembre 2026 • Durée 30:40
Episode 24. Come along for a 48 hour real-time voice log as I capture the behind the scenes of launching a new product. The episode starts with the high-energy of launch jitters as Allison works at a cafe to put the final touches on things. Then a sweaty workout leads to a sauna debrief after receiving a ‘tough-love’ message from a listener. This reflection brings up questions on business growth, career shifts, money mindset, hiring a mentor, exploring new opportunities and recognizing your worth. She ends the day watching the sunset on the canal.
In the second half, Allison takes listeners on a morning walk, follow by a day trip to Amsterdam for a Mamasocial ‘Babies and Bubbles’ event. Socializing with champagne was a perfect way to celebrate and take her mind off work for a few hours. As she was leaving, a chance encounter happens on the street, resulting in a shared ride home. The episode wraps up with a tipsy dance party in the living room to shake off all the energy. How To Balance Creating & Consuming
Saison 1 · Épisode 23
mercredi 2 septembre 2026 • Durée 15:16
Episode 23. The idea for this episode came to Allison mid-meditation, in a nervous system reset class at her yoga studio. A moment of gratitude for motherhood led her down a rabbit hole of thinking about creativity, consumption, and what happens when either gets out of balance.
Allison explores creating and consuming as two sides of the same spectrum ~ neither inherently good or bad, both necessary. She covers what each fulfills in us, signs you’re overcreating or overconsuming, how to bring more awareness to the ratio in your own life, and ways we can create + consume with intention. Plus a useful neurological explanation for why working in a coffee shop actually helps you focus.
Plus…. The New Wave Handbook is also officially live! (View Here)
I specifically timed the launch of it with a new month, Labor Day weekend coming up and a new season around the corner… all ideal opportunities for a fresh start, reset or a deep cleaning session. For those who purchase, I hope you enjoy it and it adds so much value to your life.
Why did I create this guide? We all deserve to live the life we dream of. I always knew I’d find a way to travel and live abroad, open a clothing store, marry my dream man, have passive remote income, create daily, and get to do whatever I want most days.
Since 2020, I have lived in 10+ different homes. Most were short term for a couple of months and a few for 1-2 years.
Despite moving around across 5 countries… I managed my businesses, never once got sick, stayed physically active, got pregnant in a foreign country, had a baby in a different foreign country, posted a podcast episode every single week, kept my social life alive, the house cleaned, and never went into credit card debt.
The answer to maintaining those aspects of my life is that I’ve learned how to build incredibly resilient systems, slow down enough to know what I do and don’t want, execute (work, gym, hobbies, cook) in imperfect conditions, find joy in small things, utilize what I already have, learn from my mistakes and make the most out of any circumstance.

10 Things Bringing Me Joy Lately (Voice Log)
Saison 1 · Épisode 22
vendredi 28 août 2026 • Durée 26:43
Episode 22. Allison is walking Peaches along the canal at 8am, coffee in hand, and birds chirping. She has something she needs to be honest about. Someone very close to her is going through the hardest time of their life, and it’s been weighing heavily on her. She’s not going to share the details out of respect for their privacy, but she didn’t want to just pretend everything is fine either.
Instead of a heavy episode, she’s doing something that’s been genuinely helping her through it: making a list of 10 things that are bringing her real joy right now.
From creating with purpose, to baby playdates, cooking her own food, a secondhand iPhone upgrade, her dental care routine, pouring into this podcast, integrating into the Haarlem community, continuing mindful movement, and the relief of letting go of something that was no longer aligned. Plus a lovely serendipity moment captured at the end that will leave you wanting to do something kind for someone.Mentions / Links:Save Big on Secondhand Tech from Back Market - $10 Off Code (b1b92805e7d151f8) Baby Bike Seat - Shop Here

Finding Your Third Place
mercredi 26 août 2026 • Durée 25:56
Episode 21. We all need a sense of belonging. Allison introduces the concept of third places and makes the case for why having two or three of them might be one of the most important investments you can make in your wellbeing. She covers the research on loneliness, what makes a good third place, how many you actually need, and shares examples across all eight dimensions of wellness.
She also gets personal about areas she is adding more community into ~ giving the international church potluck a try, visiting the library three times in one week, a co-working swap with her friend, a welcoming beer garden nearby on the water, and utilizing ClassPass as a gateway to finding more physical third places.
This episode is very timely for fall when classes start, clubs reform, and the cultural energy naturally pulls us toward new rhythms and routines.Mentions / Links:Ray Oldenburg’s Book - The Great Good Place2023 Surgeon General’s Advisory - Loneliness EpidemicDr. Susan Pinker’s Book - The Village EffectClassPass - Free TrialSoho House - AboutSignature 444 Reflection:What are 4 places outside your home and work where you currently feel most like yourself? Wake Up With Me: Routines Into Rituals (Voice Log)
Saison 1 · Épisode 20
vendredi 21 août 2026 • Durée 48:25
Episode 20. Turning a routine into a ritual isn't about doing more ~ it's about bringing more presence and gratitude to what you're already doing. In this voice log, Allison moves through a full morning at home while sharing the small intentional choices that make ordinary moments feel meaningful ~ aka… how to romanticize your life!
She covers bedding and lighting, morning hydration, her coffee ritual, journaling with the right pen, phone and laptop setups that reduce anxiety, mindful kitchen containers, and what she thinks about during her bike ride to pilates.
Her day takes a few unplanned turns ~ waiting out a rainstorm with a stranger under a willow tree, Hayes climbing stairs for the first time at the library, and meeting a new friend. These little serendipities are the whole point. When you slow down enough to notice, life gets a lot more interesting.
This episode is less of a how-to and more a gentle invitation to slow down and notice the magic in the ordinary.

How To Plan Aligned Weeks Using Astrology
Saison 1 · Épisode 19
mercredi 19 août 2026 • Durée 15:50
Episode 19. Whether you’re skeptical of astrology or already obsessed, this is a practical and genuinely useful lens for planning your week.
Did you know each day of the week is ruled by a different planet? Aligning your activities, workouts and social outings to specific days can make your week feel smoother, more intentional, and a little more magical!
Allison breaks down the planetary influence of each day, from the moon’s reflective energy on Mondays to Jupiter’s expansive optimism on Thursdays, and shares the most aligned activities and movement for each. Visiting My Secondhand Shop and Family in Omaha (Voice Log)
Saison 1 · Épisode 17
samedi 8 août 2026 • Durée 29:16
Episode 17. Allison is back in Omaha and one of her first stops is 1404 Collective, her secondhand clothing shop. She actively manages it from abroad through scheduling, marketing, and daily operations. In this voice log she gives an honest, behind-the-scenes look at what it feels like to return to her business that she hasn’t seen in months… and the genuine pride of seeing it all still operating beautifully.
While her incredible team of vendors keeps things running on the ground, coming back in person means rolling up her sleeves (with the help of her mom and sister) for the projects that need her hands on attention: tagging and steaming items from her own closet, swapping the door lock, dusting the chandelier, sorting through accumulated mail, reorganizing the floor displays, hosting a staff gathering party, and prepping for a baby clothes pop-up event. She also shares a few fun thrift tips.
To wrap up, Allison gets real about the other side of visiting her hometown: the overwhelming desire to see everyone, the go-go-go pace of a big city, car culture shock after a year of biking everywhere in Haarlem, the jet lag, and Peaches emergency vet visit. This real time dispatch captures the bittersweet feeling of an experience that nourishes your soul while also asking more than you have to give.
