Wherever You Are, You Belong With Us
Épisode 1
samedi 2 novembre 2024 • Durée 25:35
SHOW NOTES:
You might ask, “I see that this is podcast is set to help those who follow Jesus. But how do you follow Jesus when you feel all alone? How do you follow Jesus as a Native American on your reservation? How do you follow Jesus as a First Nation disciple on your reserve? How do you follow Jesus in the city where you could be around hundreds, thousands, or hundreds of thousands of people—yet feel all alone? If I feel alone, how can I feel that I belong?” I believe that you can move from feeling alone to feeling that you belong.
In this episode, you will discover how you can start to feel that you belong.

Are you a Jesus Follower from a Native American Tribe or Band or are you a Jesus Follower from a First Nation? Then, this podcast is for you.
Although, even if you are a Jesus Follower from any other nation or background, then you could still benefit from this podcast.
I will upload episodes every Monday at 6:30am with segments that will seek to understand the unique challenges you face as a follower of Jesus. There will be bonus episodes where I will interview other Natives who are following Jesus. You will gain perspective from their journey and you will find inspiration to keep following Jesus.
Why this podcast? I find that those who follow Jesus as a Native American or First Nation are from places and spaces from the USA, to CANADA and beyond. Wherever you are, I invite you to join me on this spiritual quest to follow Jesus.
I also believe that frequently Satan wants to discourage those who follow Jesus by telling them lie--like YOU are all alone and no one cares.
But I want you to know. You are NOT alone. Not only does God see you, but I see you too. You belong with me in the global Body of Christ as a follower of Jesus. You belong with us!

BONUS Episode--Thanks to you
Épisode 7
jeudi 28 novembre 2024 • Durée 27:09
SHOW NOTES:
You know how to say thanks. But you need to say thanks more. A simple thank you—especially if it’s sincere and not manipulative—will provide the benefactor with a good vibe.
- You know people who are struggling financially
- You know people who lack significant connections with others
- You know people who are stressed and anxious
- You know people who feel unhappy
- You know people who feel sad because the weather is changing
- You know people who are disappointed that something didn’t work out
- You know people who are working so many hours and speeding towards burnout
- You know people who are dealing with trauma from past life experiences
- You know the world is pushing you to achieve status, beauty, and wild success; but you find no status, struggle with body image, and you feel like a failure
- You know people who struggle to put food on the table
Such circumstances can lead one to be ungrateful.
But there is another pathway that leads to greater hope!
Say, "Thanks." In this episode, I will share how you can be grateful even when life's outcomes are lacking. When you are not actively grateful, you leave space for discontent to flourish. This can detract from your mental well-being. You start pushing people away. If ingratitude makes you negative, you may put negative vibes into the world. We don't need more bad vibes. We need good vibes! Listen how you can say thanks and bring light into a gloomy world.

SHOW NOTES:
I believe Natives who Follow Jesus can “speak the truth in love” when it comes to history in the Americas and Christianity today. In the next four episodes I will be talking about Myths of Native America and Misconceptions of Christianity. Since I live in both worlds as a Navajo who is a Christian, I believe that I can add unique insight and perspective to the myths and misconceptions that I have chosen.
So let me briefly address my take on a myth of Native America and a misconception of Christianity in today’s episode:
- Did the Indians welcome the Pilgrims at the First Thanksgiving?
- Why is Christianity full of hypocrites?
