Saki's bio: I’m Saskia, a curvy yoga teacher who’s passionate about making yoga accessible to anyone, regardless of ability, size or background.
As someone who has continually experienced being the largest person in yoga classes and teacher training courses, I know how difficult it can be to step into a studio class. But believe me, yoga is not just for flexible and thin people. I strongly believe that yoga is for everyone and so I will make you feel welcome in my classes. I encourage modifying poses and the use of props to make poses work for your body, not the other way around.

Join in listening to a conversation that I had with Amit and Netta Aburman. Listen to the history behind The Twins Collection which is powered by the true story and art of twin sisters Hagar and Netta who struggled with eating disorders from the age of 12 and expressed their experiences through artistic creation. Amit and Netta have found a path from the grief of losing their sister to the empowerment of creating the EyeSeeYou community to help build a bridge between those who can help with those that need help. Please visit their website at EyeSeeYou.io which truly is a work of art in itself. You can make a donation or invest in an NFT of their artwork to help show your support.
During this conversation we spoke about:
how many people are affected worldwide by eating disorders
how difficult it can be for those that need help to access help
how Netta has rehabilitated and now is sharing her art with the world in memory of her twin sister
how the children of our future need a safe space on the internet that they can seek help from
the process of grief and the power in finding solutions to our problems

Cory discovered yoga shortly after 9/11, while living in NYC —initially through a soft introduction at the Integral Hatha Yoga Institute in the West Village and then with the mind-blowing, tapas-inducing experience of Jivamukti Yoga. Since that time, pretty much everything about the way he views the world has been challenged, bringing with it transformation from a goal-oriented, judgmental, high-tempered, career-driven person to the more even-minded, compassionate person he humbly aspires to be today.

Scott Johnson - "The Ocean Literally Saved My Life"
During this episode I have the privilege of conversing with Scott Johnson. I've been thinking endlessly about this discussion since we recorded it because I feel immensely inspired by his words of courage and humor. I hope you feel equally motivated after listening. :)
In August 2001, Scott Johnson was lying in a hospital bed dying from cystic fibrosis, a genetic progressive disease. His lungs were failing him and unless he got a double lung transplant soon, his death was imminent. Scott promised himself, if he got a second chance, he would make the most of it and have no regrets. While waiting in a hospital bed, he made a list of all the things he would do in his life if gifted with a successful transplant. Three months later after a harrowing journey, he received the miracle of his new lungs, which began one of the greatest comebacks any transplant survivor could endeavor. In the years following his transplant, Scott would go on to become the first person with a double lung transplant to complete a full Ironman, and now he has his sights set on The Crossing For Cystic Fibrosis - an 80-mile ocean challenge.
Help share Scott's message and watch the Double or Nothing trailer here. Every bit of support helps. You can also share the video on your social media to help get the word out.

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting and interviewing Christina Kauffmann! Listen here as she shares her truthful insights of becoming a trauma informed yoga teacher. Christina is also a contributing author for the book, Sacred Spaces which offers authentic stories and holistic practices so that you may enjoy a moment of learning, growth, perspective, and possibly life-changing strategy. Christina is also the representative of a cutting edge CBD company called Harmony905 with which she explains how CBD has benefitted her life.
I’m a trauma-informed yoga instructor and CBD adviser on a mission to share the tools that have positively impacted my own mental health journey.
I deeply struggled with anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and depression for a lot of my life. Then, I found yoga or as I believe, yoga found me. The practice has given me tools to cultivate introspection, self-awareness, and mindfulness. Since I began diving deep into my inner world, I’ve started to thrive not simply survive.
My hope is not to heal others but to empower others to heal themselves.
xoxo, Christina

Episode 62 ~ Shane Dowd ~ Got Range of Motion? Fix Injuries & Get Flexible
Check out this episode where Shane and I discuss his passion for blending yoga and stretching exercises w/ strength training and stabilization techniques. All this in conjunction with targeted self massage work serving as a foundation for healing injuries. DON'T MISS THIS EPISODE!
About Shane: 👋 Hi! I'm Shane Dowd, CEO, and founder of GotROM.com. I help people fix injuries, get flexible & move mindfully. I am a Certified Massage Practitioner (CMP), Strength & Conditioning Coach, and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES).
But more importantly...
👉 In 2011 I had lots of pain and zero flexibility:
I have hip impingement (FAI/cam morphology)
I also have labral damage and a subchondral cyst
I've had shoulder impingement, back pain, neck pain, knee pain
In short, I had a lot of pain and movement problems...but no longer do.
The video above is a snapshot of my journey out of hip impingement (FAI)
It all started when, in 2010, after suffering a traumatic back injury, due to an underlying hip condition called femoroacetabular impingement, I started intensively studying various healing modalities (PNF stretching, Joint Mobility, Yoga, Meditation/Mindfulness, Massage, Chiropractic, Physical therapy, etc) to learn how to heal and optimize the functioning of the athletic body, and in 2013 I began teaching my system and methods to thousands of athletes who have benefited from this unique approach.
I am the creator / co-creator of the "TSR System" which powers over 16 popular online programs, including The FAI Fix, which are helping thousands of people around the world fix pain, correct posture, and improve their flexibility & mobility.

Join this fascinating discussion I had with Dave Ciolkosz who is an American born acrobat/gymnast who has been living in Ukraine training with the Ukranian acrobats over the past 10 years. Both he and his wife have had to flee the country due to the attack from Russia. Listen first hand to what it was like to be on the ground while strategizing an escape plan and what it was like to hear and feel the bombs exploding in Kyiv.
Dave is a talented acrobat and artist. He describes his journey toward learning the one armed handstand from some the greatest acrobats in the world. He also shares his stories about creating oil paintings and the hope that his collection is still safe in Ukraine.

The photo of the cover of the eBook is of his grandparents that he explains during our discussion.

Check out this inspirational discussion I had with Tom Kelly. Tom is such a gifted and heart centered yoga teacher and spiritual counselor. My wife and I had the great privilege of having Rev. Tom serve as our officiant at our wedding and it is wonderful honor to bring him here to you.
About Tom: Tom Kelly, was born in Los Angeles, California, on April 6, 1950. As a child, Tom was naturally devotional, serving as an altar boy at his family church. While attending college at the University of California in Santa Barbara, Tom developed a deep yearning within his heart and soul to make a more intimate connection with God.
After earning his B.A. in Anthropology and Religious Studies from the University of California at Santa Barbara, at the age of 24, Tom entered the monastic life at the Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF). Founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in southern California, SRF- is an international, non-profit, religious organization that has roots that trace back to the ancient lineage of Swamis from India.
After taking vows of simplicity, chastity, obedience, and loyalty, Tom spent the next 25 years engaged in rigorous spiritual training as a deeply devoted raja yoga monk practicing meditation and humanitarian service on a daily basis, specializing in ministry, team building and motivational speaking.
In the fall of 1999, after joyfully living and serving for 25 years as a monk in the Self-Realization Fellowship Order, Tom felt ready to embark on a new adventure in his life. Filled with inspiration and the assurance from the Divine, Tom left the monastic life and re-entered the secular world, in order to expand his life learning, as well as share the fruits of his self-transformation and direct experience of Yoga with all.
As an ordained minister and certified yoga teacher with over 30 years of experience in spiritual and personal growth development, Reverend Tom has traveled around the world to carry the message of the Sacred Art of Raja Yoga.
Tom’s passion for communicating the joy of spiritual living is highly contagious. Tom serves from an open heart with the sole intention of opening hearts and minds to seeing the truth of love within and all around us.
