EP 27: E + E Explore The Synergy + Differences in Ther Human Designs16 May 202500:58:33

You’re getting our maximum geekiness in today’s episode as we explore the synergy and differences between our Human Designs, most specifically focusing on our profiles. With Elisha being a 5/1 and Elizabeth being a 6/2, your Mystical Aunties are built very, VERY differently and we believe this is what makes us an excellent combo and team!

Whether you’re a 5/1 or a 6/2 and can directly glean insight into your own makeup through our profile explorations, what we hope to model more than that in this episode is deep trust and honoring of uniqueness, especially in the spaces and places where how we’re built is not “societally preferred.”

We also hope to show and celebrate the life giving benefits of have council, community, and relationships with people who are different from you because then we can all bring our gifts, and ideally and aspirationally, no one has to be burdened with more than what’s theirs to do!

EP 26: Living Our Liberation Now With Guest Brandi Holmes09 May 202500:53:55

Today, we are joined by another of Elizabeth’s dearest friends, Brandi Holmes, and we’re getting into living our liberation NOW. Not later and certainly not when we feel or think we’re ready, because when really might that be? And also, who cares?

We explore living our liberation now through relationships, community engagement, involvement and organizing, healing, embodiment, boundaries, what we say “yes” and “no” to– how that cultivates trust or distrust (with others and within ourselves), and tuning into our true selves as we shift, age, and evolve. We also discuss the different cultural contexts and lived experiences that inform what liberation looks, feels, and is like in each of our lives.

As always, we hope you can take what we share, put it in your own context, and get whatever gems might be waiting for you as you listen!

EP 17: Is The Pursuit of Worthiness a Scam?28 Feb 202500:38:32

You know it’s gonna be a great episode when the editor sends a note along that says, “Mind blown. This episode is amazing!” We are delving into the possibility that the pursuit of worthiness is a scam today. And not just the pursuit of worthiness but the condition of being in constant pursuit in general. Especially in the realms of self-help, personal development, and spirituality.

We make observations about “worthiness wounds” and the larger issues we believe they’re symptomatic of, the fallacy that we shouldn’t acknowledge, celebrate or be vocal about hitting certain points and milestones in our healing, development, and expansion journeys. We question the roots of spiritual humility and ego and, as always, we share some stories and experiences from engaging with different teachers, groups, and content that have shaped the big questions, insights, and stances we’re sharing in this episode.

Enjoy + share! This is a hot one to chat about with your mystical besties and communities ✨

(2:45) Elisha being a nosy bitch

(6:00) Belief structures we create around unworthiness

(8:00) Elizabeth’s beef with Richard Rudd (she’s not actually mad though 🤣)

(12:00) Issues and nuances of “transcendence”

(16:04) Our culture’s indoctrinated relationship between respect and obedience

EP 16: Deep Dive On Facilitation Part 221 Feb 202500:50:52

Facilitation Part 2!

We’re back with part two of our conversation about facilitation and today we’re getting into the meat of creating and holding containers. We answer questions like: What even is a container? Why do they matter? How do you know if it’s set or not? And more!

We also lay out some really important reminders like: Even though many practitioners call upon and integrate “ancient wisdom” into their experiences, we live in modern times. Our “villages” and communities are much different. Not to mention the illusions of connectivity we navigate with technology vs actually being connected, held, and supported.

We also explore the nuances between online and in-person containers, group and solo experiences. How different types of containers are appropriate, accessible, or most aligned through various seasons and cycles of life, and why you may tend to prefer particular types.

(4:00) Judgements and expectations that shape containers

(8:01) Alchemy’s definition of container and why it’s necessary for transformation / transmutation to occur

(11:30) The facilitator's true responsibility

(17:06) On “safe spaces” - spoiler, there’s no such thing!

(25:00) The worst facilitation Elizabeth ever experienced in her life

(32:00) Some nuance to “everyone is your mirror”

(37:00) Differences between ritual and ceremonial spaces

(47:00) The importance of always listening to your own intuition as a participant in containers + Elisha’s experience at a well-known retreat center when keeping it spiritual went wrong

EP 15: Deep Dive on Facilitation Part 114 Feb 202500:33:11

We love today’s topic so much (and have decades of combined experience mastering it!) we ended up making this a two-parter. In the first half of the conversation, we talk about the elements of marketing and sales that lead up to joining containers online and how this is actually where the facilitation process begins. We get into the things people may need to feel comfortable joining containers but don’t always look for, the importance of having clear rules of engagement and facilitators themselves being safe in their own systems.

Of course, we share how we’ve experienced all of these things working and not working, along with some stories of developing as facilitators ourselves, and we have an illuminating and passionate conversation about worthiness, self-doubt, and imposter syndrome as it relates to being a facilitator.

Whether you’re a facilitator yourself and/or someone who joins containers, there’s much to get from this conversation. Enjoy!

(1:40) Nuances in what people are looking for in containers, experiences, and facilitators

(5:18) Why sales doesn’t have to be a dirty word but often feels like it

(8:06) The conflicts that can arise between being a facilitator and being a business owner and having to market containers to fill them

(12:09) The importance of creating a multi-layered foundation for people while also leaving room for things to emerge in a container

(18:52) The difference between core curriculum and subtle curriculum in containers and how people handle those things

(21:07) About imposter syndrome, worthiness, and self-doubt

(26:06) The relationship between certification, experience, and congruent communication about where someone is in their true level of facilitating

EP 14: Ascension, Initiations, and Dark Nights07 Feb 202500:41:11

Some of you might be mad at us after this conversation—you’ve been warned! We’re out here bursting some spiritual bubbles today in the name of truth, realness, and not being distracted by “spiritual specialness.”

Ascension, initiations, and dark nights are popular topics in spiritual circles and communities, and like a lot of things, we take for granted that we know what these terms actually mean and how they actually work. This episode is an exploration of the three to demystify any confusion and also help us ground into what we see as the most nuanced and responsible explanations for each. We also get into how to tell when illnesses and injuries have spiritual significance and when you’re just having an experience because you live in a human body, and it’s part of the gig!

We can’t wait to hear what you think!

(2:14)  How spiritual self-importance and drama creep into our real, rooted experiences and distract us.

(6:00) What happens when we initiate but don’t integrate

(10:00) Real change happens incrementally over time—even when we think it’s sudden!

(14:33) Five ingredients for meaningful experiences whether you realize what they are while you’re going through them or not

(19:00) Where a lot of people miss the mark on what “ascension” really is

(29:35) The importance of mastering the basics and setting foundations

EP 13: The Secret Chamber, Potency, and Interacting with Identity31 Jan 202500:37:38

Today’s episode title is inspired by our dear friend Rebecca Campbell’s Ancient Stones Oracle Deck. In many ways, this podcast is an external expression of the inner world of the secret chamber. Goddess wisdom, feminine wisdom, has been tucked and buried away for so long. As we examine, explore, expand, follow our curiosities, and share our insights and experiences through each episode of the show, and as you listen, take in, and share what resonates for you, there’s a potent co-weaving that’s happening.

When we enter our inner chambers, we can become intimate with and gather our treasures. The treasures we need to go on and stay on the journeys we came here to take. This episode is a beautiful exploration of the flow, the mechanics, and the art, really, of how all of this works. And we chat about how to do this no matter how much time you have, where you work, if you work, and whatever your responsibilities and obligations are.

Some highlights from the show:

(2:37) How we each relate to “secret chamber”

(5:25) When we move too fast, we miss the potency of our treasures and how to be with ourselves

(12:48) How something is always better than nothing and the “rule of three” Elizabeth recommends for grounding, connecting, and recentering throughout the day

(15:30) The things in life we CAN control and why it’s important to treat those accordingly

(21:32) Conversation around what happens when we slow down and what happens when we allow ourselves to spend time “in the dark”

(24:10) How losses of relationships and self impact our identities

(29:59) Meeting our addictions, cultivating our treasures, and allowing our identities to be flexible

EP 12: On Developing And Shifting Your Vision Over Time24 Jan 202500:31:02

In this week’s episode, we got into developing and shifting the vision for our lives over time. It was a beautiful, story-filled, winding, and wondrous conversation where we landed in some really gorgeous places around simplicity, flow, the divine unfoldment of things, allowing visions to be woven organically just as much as we aim to bring things into the material intentionally.

And maybe that’s the best intention… to ALLOW more. We talked about moving and traveling, being inspired by spaces and places, surrender, trust, control, and the magical that happens when we commune with others who share our values, speak our language, and are also able to flow and allow.

We hope you’ll enjoy this one, and if needed, take in this good auntie lovin’ for loosening your grip or at least suspending your attachment to some of your visions and consider what else might be wanting to emerge.

In episode 12 of the Mystical Aunties podcast, we discuss:

(2:02) A little bit of catching up amidst Elizabeth’s travels through Spain and Portugal and Elisha’s big move to the beach

(5:00) Living into two of Elizabeth’s favorite guiding phrases, “I only want what God wants for me,” and “Home is not a place.”

(10:00) Receiving the vision in doses, and not needing it to be “all the way” or “full time” for it to be satisfying

(17:07) The relationship between surrender, trust, and control

(22:42) Responsibility to our gifts

(25:20) Elisha and Elizabeth’s shared desire for better neuroeducation and why

(29:00) A refinement on “bringing your whole self” to things—do it in layers!

EP 11: Personal, Planetary, and Collective Integration17 Jan 202500:46:45

We’ve got a fiery conversation for you today, friends. Elisha and I are joined by our dear friend Sara Kassem, and we got into some broad and granular impacts and reflections about the shift from Pluto in Capricorn to Pluto in Aquarius.

Probably our most brilliant and raucous conversation, yet, we are diving into the shadows and the genius of many relevant topics currently impacting everyone whether they realize it or not. You don’t have to be into astrology to get the meat of this conversation, which is ultimately about our relationships to urgency, proving, advancing technologies, and the consequences of moving too fast as both a society and individuals. We discuss various aspects of integration, the burnout that comes when we don’t take that time or root into that discipline, and we also laugh hysterically as we reflect on the divine comedy of our past and present small selves moving alongside our genius and our magnificence.

Enjoy!

In episode 11 of the Mystical Aunties podcast, we discuss:

(2:28) The impromptu way this conversation came about with our first-ever guest on the show

(7:58) Transitioning into a friend zone we actually wanted to be in

(10:23) An overview of what moving from Pluto in Capricorn to Pluto in Aquarius means

(15:43) Elisha on how we can only move as fast as our slowest part

(20:28) How life sometimes doesn’t allow us to move into new stages, experiences or next levels until we’re responsible enough to hold them

(25:38) Wasted genius and unnecessary suffering

(32:59) What happens when we stop trying to prove our worth

(37:52) How the way a lot of people teach Law of Attraction can be more distracting and harmful than helpful sometimes

EP 10: Geeking Out On Astrology, Human Design, and The Gene Keys10 Jan 202500:38:31

For this episode, where we are geeking out on Astrology, Human Design, and the Gene Keys, we want to acknowledge that we have these beautiful tools and systems and that everything exists on a spectrum. Anything in excess could be detrimental, and it’s important that we not allow ourselves to be a little too compulsive or preoccupied with these things and disconnect from our own discernment and feelings.

We talk about how these tools and systems provide incredible guideposts for getting to know who we are and how we’re built, the importance of stillness and listening to our own selves, and how to engage with them in healthy, helpful ways. The point is not to end up distracted from our own infinite wisdom, intelligence, gifts, psychic knowing, intuition, body wisdom, etc, but to accelerate our connection with those things and better understand how they function for us personally. We also share some of our personal experiences.

Enjoy!

In episode 10 of the Mystical Aunties podcast, we discuss:

(2:46) How Elisha and Elizabeth each got into the Gene Keys

(6:33) How Elizabeth ties use of Astrology, Human Design, and the Gene Keys to the self-knowledge pillar in her Embodied Self Love Framework to help people honor their uniqueness and be more neutral about compatibilities and incompatibilities with others

(14:06) Common reasons people reject or resist the archetypes in Astrology, Human Design, and the Gene Keys

(22:20) The importance of engaging with the fullness of archetypes, not just the shareable, social media meme versions of things

(25:54) Using these tools and systems to connect with our purpose

(29:08) Engaging with the “cosmic weather” through astrology

Ep 08: The Role Of The Modern Mystic15 Nov 202400:41:51

Whether you call yourself a priestess, shaman, medicine person, or witch – titles like these matter! In this episode, we discuss what it means to be a modern mystic and embody the role authentically. We each share our journeys of embracing our “titles,” letting go of others' judgments, stepping into our inner authority, and acknowledging our depths.

We also explore the shadow side of claiming names, highlighting the harm that can happen when people hold titles without the embodiment to back them up. We invite you to bring curiosity and respect for others' paths, using discernment when engaging with people who claim these roles. Plus, we discuss the impact of cultural appropriation and ancestry and explain how to honor the sacredness the titles carry while welcoming your own unique evolution.

In episode 8 of the Mystical Aunties podcast, we discuss:

EP 25: What It Is To "Have A Life" Pt 202 May 202500:44:52

We’re back for Part 2 of What It Is To Have A Life with some more personal stories from our own journeys of healing, wholeness, liberation, and coming into the lives we live now. We also explore what it was like to be navigating various traumas and sensitivities before really having the language for or understanding of them. What it looked like to navigate coping strategies, countering habits, big emotions, and whether we knew it or not, walk ourselves home to the center within that’s always there, waiting to be discovered, nourished, and cultivated.

We also touch on it being FIVE YEARS since the world shut down for the pandemic, how we’ve dealt with that, and have seen others both dealing and not dealing with it. Finally, we discuss why Elizabeth hates the term “late bloomer” and Elisha loves it! As always… to each their own. Enjoy and let us know what you think!

Ep 02: Early "Crone-a-pause" + Eldership04 Oct 202400:42:47

Does age really equate to wisdom? Are you any less valuable in society if you're child-free? How can someone be a grandmother without ever having been a mother? Does being a mother supersede you also being an auntie? Today, we deep dive into these questions, explore early 'Crone-a-pause,' and discuss the evolving role of eldership in today's world.

Throughout our conversation, we unpack where true wisdom comes from, the possibilities of supporting other generations beyond traditional roles, and the nuances of being a child-free woman in our society. We also reflect on the power of mentorship and the richness of our inner multitudes.

For our very first episode, we're excited to explore exactly what it means to be a "Mystical Auntie" and take a deeper look at our tagline, "For the love of all things sacred." For us, sacredness is woven into every aspect of life. It's a means for navigating your true spirituality in this New Age world, embracing all experiences, and becoming an advocate for the shift from individualism to collectivism.

In our conversation, we invite you to welcome sacredness, embody it as a way of tending to all life, and stay curious, especially when encountering beliefs that differ from your own. We also open up about what the term "Aunties" means to each of us and why we feel called to offer our wisdom and support to this community.

In episode 1 of the Mystical Aunties podcast, we discuss:

(1:02) The root of the word “Aunties” and how we embody “Mystical Aunties”

Mystical Aunties Trailer20 Sep 202400:02:43

Welcome to the show! We’re your Mystical Aunties, Elizabeth DiAlto and Elisha Tichelle and this is a podcast for people who love a blend of giggles and real talk to go with their spirituality. From navigating the most mystical, magical and esoteric realms to the most exquisite and excruciating aspects of our humanity, we’re here for the full range. As our tagline, “For the love of all things sacred” implies, we believe there's sacredness in all of us and all of life. We see this podcast as an opportunity to integrate belief systems and both develop and model the practice of holding multiple truths, being less judgmental and building bridges rather than reinforcing the bubbles we live in. We hope you love it!

EP 24: What Is It To Have a Life25 Apr 202500:42:16

What is it to have a life? LIFE means different things to different people. Even so, we all have conditioning around expectations and societal preferences and hierarchies when it comes to living a “good life.” Today, we begin to unpack this. From how we socialize, how we’re driven by passions and interests, how we’re built to embody our genuine desires, and how we arrive at what those even are!! This is a fun conversation that we hope will be both illuminating and permission-giving.

Enjoy!

EP 23: Plant Medicine Chat Pt 218 Apr 202500:38:14

Unless this is your first episode listening to Mystical Aunties, you probably realize by now just how much Elizabeth and Elisha enjoy geeking out on things from every angle and how much weaving and acknowledging the sacredness in everything drives the show. In this episode, they’re reflecting on last week’s psychedelics and plant medicine chat with Heather Lindemenn, going a bit deeper into their own personal experiences, and looking at some different facets and layers of healing.

From complex trauma, the impacts and unwinding of hypervigilance, and the cyclical nature of healing to engaging with symptoms vs getting to root causes, there’s some really fun and nuanced exploration in this one.

Enjoy!

EP 22: Plant Medecine and Psychedelics with Heather Lindemenn11 Apr 202500:58:05

This is a very exciting episode, mystical friends! First, because Elizabeth’s dear friend Heather Lindemenn joined us to talk about all things psychedelics and plant medicine, and second, because we’re finally up on YouTube. If you prefer to watch rather than listen to episodes, you can now watch on Elizabeth’s YouTube channel!

In today’s episode, we get into engaging with and regarding plant medicine and psychedelics with the reverence, gravity, and deep care we believe they’re meant for. In a time when a lot of folks engage with these things recreationally but call it a “ceremony” or excessively as an escape, rather than a healing technology with sacred roots, it’s important to flesh these things out.

Whether you’re an experienced journier, new to plant medicine or psychedelics, we hope the range of things we get into here help you to approach the matter and any experiences you choose to have in the future responsibly and with great intention.

EP 21: The Witch Wound04 Apr 202500:42:57

We’re getting into the Witch Wound today. The Witch Wound is something a lot of coaching and self-help platitudes, concepts, and teachings that fall on the shallower, less nuanced end of things are missing.

The Witch Wound impacts a lot of us and it’s the deeper root to why we hide or shrink ourselves (even if you hide in plain sight), play small, fear our gifts and our power, hesitate to put ourselves out there and be visible. And not just in terms of being online or having a platform, but in social settings, in our closest relationships. So many people hide who they really are and what they’re really into, what matters most to them, and what makes them feel whole, alive, and closer to “God” because of this wound.

Today we’re shining a light on it to help us—yes! We include ourselves in this—do this less. Maybe even stop doing it all together.

Enjoy!

EP 20: A Chat About Grief28 Mar 202500:49:16

It feels weird to say we’re so excited to share this conversation about grief with you, but we are because we’re both huge believers in the alchemical healing power of grief. From the relationship between grief and anger to the relationship between grief and joy and the difference between grief and sadness, we discuss the many octaves of grieving and everything that opens up in our lives when we allow ourselves to feel this powerful emotion. We talk about why people are afraid of grief, how far-reaching grief is (it’s not just for death or break-ups!), and share our own experiences of grieving and how we witness and support people who are grieving.

We hope this one makes you feel really seen, supported, and acknowledged, especially if you’re a big, deep feeler who doesn’t just grieve for your own life but for the world, too.

(2:00) A convo about phrases like “If you’re not grieving you’re not paying attention

(4:30) Relationship between grief and anger

EP 19: Embodiment Episode Part 1 of many to come...21 Mar 202500:41:12

Somehow we got through 18 episodes without specifically diving into one of the primary components to both of our bodies of work: EMBODIMENT! So we’re diving in this week and leaving it open to revisit many times over since there is just SO MUCH to cover!

In this episode, Elisha jams on some nervous system and neuroscience basics, Elizabeth gets into the mechanics of her Wild Soul Movement practice and what she’s always referred to as “getting out of your head and into your body,” and we geek out on the importance of integration, and how integrative embodiment work and practice is. We’re excited for you to see how whether your approach to embodiment is scientific, mystical, intuitive or a combination of all three, it’s not just a “nice to have,” it’s crucial if you’re really focused on healing and liberation. Especially during the crazy times we’re living in!

(4:30) Muscle memory, habits, and cognitive function

(8:00) What is Wild Soul Movement and how it works

(11:00) Releasing control through embodiment

(18:30) Why Elizabeth got kicked out of dancing school when she was three

(24:00) Coming alive through movement

(33:30) Facing discomfort and expanding your window of tolerance through embodiment

EP 18: Exploring The Impacts Of Media Consumption On Our Consciousness07 Mar 202500:41:25

We're living in times where, unfortunately, we have to be way more vigilant about stuff we were able to be more lax about in the past. Today’s episode is a timely and important discussion. We talk about spiritual satire, media, and social media: what we're letting get into and influence our consciousness and the deeper impacts of these choices.

Whether it’s TV, news, movies, books, or scrolling social media, our choices and discernment about how and what we engage with matter more than some of us would prefer. Listen to us get into how we engage now, have engaged in the past, and the range of considerations we believe sensitive folks, big feelers, and mystics can’t afford to be lazy about.

(5:00) How David G got Elizabeth to watch more TV in 2015

(7:00) A presentation in fifth grade that Elisha will never forget

(12:00) Impacts of TV and movies on sensitive systems

(14:00) Boundaries around news consumption

(23:00) Grains of truth and heaps of distortions in satire

(29:00) How to engage with media and entertainment for exposure to experiences in a useful way, plus our deep and mutual love for Moana
