The story of the first game back at Villa Park for the 2024/25 season was mainly off the pitch with queuing chaos and overflowing urinals greeting unfortunate Villa fans, yet on it, in terms of the bigger picture, Aston Villa are evolving nicely, despite the result against Arsenal.

In Champions League draw week, there's plenty to be optimistic about, but certainly basic standards at Villa Park for fans leave a lot to be desired.
