Texas was too damn hot so you know what that means...MHC goes to space!!! I was joined in outerspace by Richard Z Santos as we talked the TENTH installment of Friday the 13th! This was the 3rd and final time Kane Hodder donned the legendary hockey mask. We also talked about A Night of Screams: Latino Horror Stories a new anthology that just dropped in June that he edited as well as his debut novel Trust Me and all the great work he's doing in the community with Austin Bat Cave.

This week I am joined in the Confessional by Leticia Urieta where we discuss the Vincent Price/ Roger Corman classic The Masque of the Red Death (1964). Adapted from an Edgar Allan Poe short story with elements drawn from one of his other short stories, Hop-Frog. This movie marked Corman's 7th adapted Poe movie, and his 6th starring Price. There would eventually be 8 total Corman-Poe films made. Leticia and I also discussed her new short story collection Las Criaturas out now from Flowersong Press and all the great work she's doing in the community with Austin Bat Cave and with Barrio Writers

This weeks episode features my good friend and 3 time returning guest Andrew Martin Hilbert. We talk the Japanese comedy horror classic Hausu from 1977 directed by the inimitable Nobuhiko Ôbayashi.
