When Your Best-Selling Farm Product Disappears - Inside a FMS Coaching Call
Saison 1 · Épisode 336
mercredi 29 octobre 2025 • Durée 54:19
What would you do if the product your customers loved the most—the one they buy first, talk about the most, and happily pay premium prices for—was suddenly GONE… and you knew it would be two years before you could sell it again?
This happened to one of my Farm Marketing School members, Stacie.
She raises meat and sells a monthly membership that gives her customers first access to everything. But as of this month… her freezers are completely out of beef. Zero inventory. And she won't have more until 2027.
She came to our group coaching call in full-on panic mode:
"How do I keep selling when I don't have the thing everyone wants? What if my customers leave? What if they go to my competitor? What if my membership loses value?"
The coaching that followed turned into one of the most powerful conversations we've had inside FMS.
In this episode, I'm pulling back the curtain and sharing real excerpts from that Farm Marketing School coaching call. And between the clips, I jump in with my commentary to unpack the lessons you must hear—because even if you don't sell beef, I promise you… this conversation is about YOU.
We'll explore:
✅ Why making assumptions about your customers will keep you stuck
✅ How scarcity can actually make your product MORE valuable (if you position it right)
✅ The mindset shift every farmer must make if they want to grow and evolve
✅ How running out of product might be the very thing that leads to your next breakthrough offer
This episode will challenge the way you think about "problems" in your business—and may just help you see your current roadblock in a totally new way.

327 Turn "Sold Out" Into Your Best Marketing Tool
Saison 1 · Épisode 327
mercredi 27 août 2025 • Durée 39:20
Last week, while I was restocking products in our online store, I noticed a few items were still showing from the previous week—greyed out because they had sold out.
My first instinct? Clean them up.
But then I had a lightbulb moment: What if I left them there on purpose?
Because "Sold Out" sends a message—actually, several. And in this episode, I'm going to show you how to turn sold-out items into one of the most powerful, persuasive, no-cost marketing strategies on your farm.

238 How to Make Your Farm Product More Desirable
Saison 1 · Épisode 238
mercredi 22 novembre 2023 • Durée 31:58
How do you make your farm products highly desirable?
To answer this question, this week I share another saga in my continuing quest to find a massage therapist.
I share how my prospective LMT played "hard to get" when I tried to book her; and what that did inside my brain to make me want it even more.
We'll explore the value of things like "sold out" signs, wait lists, and low inventory. How can you use the principle of scarcity to ratchet up the perceived value of your goods and services?
This is an episode that will make you rethink how subjective the word "value" really is....

236 How to Raise Your Prices (and Make More $) Using Price Anchoring
Saison 1 · Épisode 236
mercredi 8 novembre 2023 • Durée 01:08:30
How do you raise your prices and get your customers to buy at that price point? (And feel good about it?)
In today's episode, I'm diving into a crucial aspect of farm marketing: the art of price anchoring.
Have you ever gone to Amazon to buy something with a certain idea in your mind of what something will cost?... and then you see what Amazon thinks it should cost?...
For example, I recently needed to buy a countdown timer for our Chopped Competition -- a big one that everyone can see from the room. Amazon had one priced at $300 (!!!), then another one at $65, and another one at $125.
Guess which one I bought?... Yup, the $125 one.
AND... I felt okay with it.
Honestly though, going into it, I was hoping for a $75 option. That's where my mind was. But then I saw the $300, and realized I was at the wrong pricing table. So the $125 suddenly didn't feel so bad -- like I had compromised and found a good happy medium in quality and price.
This... is price anchoring in action. And if you know how to use it, it can help you raise ALL your farm product prices, get people to buy at that price level, and make you more money.
Price anchoring is a psychological technique where consumers use an initial piece of information to base future buying decisions. You set a mental benchmark, or an "anchor" with a high price tag, and then this creates a perception that subsequent (slightly lower) prices are a better deal. (Meanwhile: you've also raised the prices of those subsequent, slightly lower prices, too).
You see this ALL OVER THE PLACE in the retail world. And in this episode, we dive into the details of how it works.
It's time you learned the psychology and strategy behind what makes this work.
Your homework from this episode is to set up a product with a higher price anchor, position your other products around it, and guide your customer this week to buy the thing you want them to (at the price you want).

235 How to Build a CSA Renewal Promotion Step by Step
Saison 1 · Épisode 235
mercredi 1 novembre 2023 • Durée 01:06:07
Do you wish more of your current CSA members would renew their share early?
I just wrapped up my end-of-season "early renewal" promotion campaign to my current CSA members, and it's October 23. I asked 400 members to give me their commitments for next summer.
My results?... 310 of 385 spots were pre-sold in 7 days before November 1st! That's 7 months before we start our season. And most of them came on day one of the promotion period.
In today's podcast, I'm doing a full-scale audit of the whole process, and sharing my 4 step framework that can guide your own planning process behind big promotion launches. This framework can help you build any sales promotion for your farm.
If you're a CSA farmer, this will give you some great ideas for how to build hype and turn your renewal promo into an event.

234 The Three Most Powerful Words in Farm Marketing
Saison 1 · Épisode 234
mercredi 25 octobre 2023 • Durée 34:59
When you talk about your farm products, are you making a nice, bullet-point list of features that come with your product? Things like:
- certified organic by USDA
- grass-fed, regeneratively-raised
- locally-sourced
- raw and unfiltered
That's great, but that may not be enough.
The problem with just focusing on features in our marketing is that we (as the salesperson) have assumed that the customer has a level of understanding he/she simply doesn't have. From the inside looking out, we think, "Everyone knows why it matters that my honey is unfiltered!"
My friends, they don't.
Which is why, you need to learn 3 very powerful words that will immediately transform this list of features into a list of BENEFITS. When you start using these 3 words in your marketing, you'll begin to show your customers what's in it for them.
You need to answer the question: "So what that your honey is raw and unfiltered?..."
You want to know what these 3 words are?...
Listen to this episode to find out, and hear lots of examples for how to use them in farm marketing.
See if it helps you increase your sales.

233 Ten Helpful Tags to Set Up in Your Email Service Provider
Saison 233 · Épisode 1
mercredi 18 octobre 2023 • Durée 01:01:13
Imagine waking up on Christmas morning and running to tree to pass out gifts, only to discover that none of the packages have labels on them.
You have no idea which package is for whom. Some packages go to the wrong person. People get upset. NO BUENO.
Ahhh.... the power of LABELS.
When it comes to communicating with your customers and leads, it is VITAL that you have some kind of identifier, label, or marker on their account to help you know what messages to send their way.
So where can you add these "tags" to make sure you're sending your message to the right people?
In your email service provider.
I'm often asked, "But Corinna, what kind of tags could I use?" In today's episode, I'm sharing over 10 different "tags" you can use to label your customers with inside your email service provider. I want you to listen to the ideas, identify the ones that makes sense for YOUR business, and then GO SET THEM UP!
Now be careful! Don't waste your time adding too many tags. Just focus on the ones you'll actually find helpful and use.
How do you want to "sort" your list? <== that should be your guiding question.

232 How to Use Mirroring to Close More Sales
Saison 1 · Épisode 232
mercredi 11 octobre 2023 • Durée 42:53
How often do you hold up a mirror?
If you're good at marketing, you're doing it ALL THE TIME. We mirror in two ways:
- In our behavior and face to face interactions with customers/prospects.
- In our messaging.
In today's episode, I'm revealing "sales secrets" that the great sales reps often leverage to quickly connect with their prospects and close more deals.
It's something known as: "sales mirroring."
Basically, you are holding up a mirror and reflecting back what you are seeing from your customer. It's crazy effective. I bet you're doing some of this stuff intuitively!
I share with you 4 ways you can use mirroring with one-to-one conversations, and I share how to hold up a "mirror" in your messaging. You'll walk away with LOTS of very practical strategies from this one. Your homework is to practice one of the techniques on one of your customers at the farmer's market next week, and see if you close the sale.
