| The Crest of Kindness | 28 Sep 2026 | 01:24:17 | |
We’re closing out the Digimon Emperor arc with one of the most emotional victories of our Digimon Adventure 02 rewatch so far. Magnamon finally arrives for an awesome showdown with Kimeramon, but the real heart of this episode belongs to Wormmon. His heartbreaking sacrifice turns what should be a huge victory into something much more somber. | The Darkness Before Dawn | 07 Sep 2026 | 00:48:50
We’re talking Episode 20, “The Darkness Before Dawn,” and WOW are we ready for the Digimon Emperor arc finale! Kimeramon is completely out of control, Ken is finally starting to realize just how far he’s gone, and Wormmon makes the huge decision to help Davis bring the Emperor’s flying fortress down from the inside. But the moment that had us the most excited was Davis discovering the mysterious golden Digi-Egg and unlocking Veemon’s incredible new Armor Digivolution: Magnamon! That golden armor entrance is such a fantastic cliffhanger, and after everything this arc has been building toward, we cannot wait to see Magnamon take on Kimeramon and find out how this whole Digimon Emperor story ends. | An Old Enemy Returns | 31 Aug 2026 | 00:58:02
This week on My Adventures With Digimon, T.K. has officially had ENOUGH, and we loved every second of it. Our Digimon Adventure Season 2 rewatch podcast continues with Episode 19, “An Old Enemy Returns,” as T.K. comes face-to-face with the Digimon Emperor and straight-up throws hands with Ken in one of the most satisfying moments of the season so far. We’re talking about what pushes T.K. over the edge, how his history with Devimon makes that quick cameo hit so much harder, and why this confrontation feels like a side of T.K. we rarely get to see. Plus, Kimeramon is finally unleashed, the Emperor’s plans are getting scarier, and part two of this four-part story seriously raises the stakes. Hell yeah, T.K.! | Run Yolei Run | 24 Aug 2026 | 00:54:57
Apparently Yolei woke up and chose absolute chaos. As the DigiDestined begin searching for the Digimon Emperor’s mysterious moving base, the episode starts laying the groundwork for a bigger, more connected story that has us really excited about where Season 2 is headed. But the real question is… what the heck got into Yolei?! She goes from determined to completely unhinged so fast that we half expected her to pull a Jessie Spano and start yelling, “I’m so excited!” Thankfully, her reckless streak leads to a genuinely sweet moment with Hawkmon and a little much-needed perspective from Kari. We’re talking Yolei’s wild behavior, the promise of this new overarching storyline, Ken’s floating fortress, and why this episode was such a fun time. | Ghost of a Chance | 17 Aug 2026 | 01:23:48
This week’s episode takes us back to one of the most emotional pieces of season one as we revisit “Ghost of a Chance” and the return of Wizardmon. With the original DigiDestined and the new team coming together on August 1st, this episode is packed with nostalgia as everyone looks back on their first adventure, revisits familiar places from the Myotismon battle, and remembers just how much has happened since that first trip to the Digital World. But the real heart of this one is Kari, Gatomon, and the mysterious ghost haunting Fuji TV Station. Seeing Wizardmon again absolutely got us, especially as his connection to Gatomon and his sacrifice for Kari come rushing back while his cryptic warning points toward something much bigger still waiting for the DigiDestined. We loved how this episode celebrates Digimon Adventure’s history while quietly setting up the future with Ken, kindness, darkness, and whatever comes next. | 20,000 Digi-Leagues Under the Sea | 16 Aug 2026 | 01:35:31
We’re revisiting Digimon Adventure 02 Episode 16, “20,000 Digi-Leagues Under the Sea,” and Cody’s big lesson about lying is testing our patience almost as much as his fear of the ocean. We get what the episode is going for, but when the rest of the DigiDestined are literally in danger, Cody agonizing over whether it’s okay to lie for help feels a little too much like toddler-level morality, even for a kids anime. Thankfully, the episode gives us plenty of fun along the way, including the Digi-Egg of Reliability, Joe stepping in with some much-needed perspective, and the debut of Submarimon, which finally gives Cody and Armadillomon their underwater upgrade. It’s an okay episode with a cool new Armor Digivolution, a few laughs, and one moral dilemma that had us doing a whole lot of eye-rolling. | Big Trouble in Little Edo, | 03 Aug 2026 | 00:57:38
We’re revisiting Digimon Adventure 02 Episode 15, “Big Trouble in Little Edo,” for a rewatch podcast that’s perfectly fine, even if it never becomes much more than that. The DigiDestined stumble into an old-school Japanese town where Shurimon and Ninjamon settle their rivalry with a battle of honor, while ShogunGekomon causes trouble under the control of a Dark Spiral. We talk about the surprisingly fun ninja showdown, the episode’s similarities to the Western adventure from a few weeks ago, and why this one leaves us happy enough but also a little bored. | The Samurai of Sincerity | 06 Jul 2026 | 01:19:56
We’re talking Digimon Adventure 02 episode 14, “The Samurai of Sincerity,” and honestly, this one was just a blast. Mimi is back, we meet Michael and Betamon as new DigiDestined from America, and the episode is packed with fun callbacks to the original Adventure crew’s first experiences in the Digital World. But the big moment is Yolei finally unlocking the Digi-Egg of Sincerity, giving Hawkmon his awesome new armor digivolution, Shurimon. From Digitamamon’s return to Gorillamon chaos, this Digimon rewatch podcast has friendship, nostalgia, and a very cool samurai turtle ninja thing. | His Master’s Voice | 30 Jun 2026 | 01:39:01
This one genuinely felt like a horror movie. Between Kari’s unsettling visions, the fog-covered world, the eerie Dark Ocean, and the looming presence of Dragomon, this episode gives us some of the creepiest and most fascinating world-building in the entire series. We absolutely loved the Cthulhu-esque atmosphere and the sense that something ancient and terrifying is lurking just beyond what the DigiDestined can understand. At the same time, this episode gives us some wonderful Kari and T.K. moments as their relationship continues to grow, leading to some of the sweetest and most memorable interactions of the season. We’re breaking down the mystery of the Dark Ocean, why the lack of a true resolution is both frustrating and fascinating, and why this might be one of the most haunting episodes Digimon ever produced. | The Good, The Bad, And The Digi | 22 Jun 2026 | 01:40:27
We’re saddling up for Digimon Adventure 02 Episode 12, “The Good, The Bad, and The Digi”… and wow, this might be the roughest ride of the entire series so far. What should be a fun Wild West parody somehow ends up feeling like one of the most pointless, unfunny, and surprisingly boring episodes we’ve seen on this rewatch. From Starmon’s cowboy town to Deputymon, the walking revolver sheriff who absolutely steals the spotlight, we break down what went wrong, what little worked, and whether this episode deserves its reputation as a forgotten filler adventure. Along the way, we talk about bizarre comedy choices, missing character development, Western movie inspirations, and why an episode featuring poker games, milk-drinking cowboys, and gun-shaped Digimon still struggles to leave much of an impact. Sometimes even Digimon can’t hit the target, and this one might have missed the saloon entirely. Grab your cowboy hat and join us as we revisit what could be the worst episode of Digimon Adventure 02 so far. | The Storm of Friendship | 15 Jun 2026 | 01:15:24
In this episode of My Adventures With Digimon, we’re talking Digimon Adventure 02 episode 11, “Storm of Friendship,” and yeah, Raidramon is finally here! This rewatch podcast and series retrospective has us geeking out over Davis earning his second Digi-Egg, the Crest of Friendship showing up in a big way, and Veemon’s electric new armor digivolution stealing the spotlight. We had a lot of fun with the Davis and T.K. tension, the MetalGreymon rescue mission, and the way this episode turns friendship into something messy, goofy, and genuinely exciting. Plus, Matt giving Davis the “you’re officially part of the team” noogie? Perfect Digimon energy. | The Captive Digimon | 08 Jun 2026 | 01:17:59
In this episode of My Adventures With Digimon, we’re breaking down Digimon Adventure 02 Episode 10, “The Captive Digimon,” as Tai desperately tries to save Agumon from the Digimon Emperor. We had a blast with this one, even if Ken absolutely sucks here with the way he treats Agumon and pushes the Dark Spiral experiments way too far. We’re talking Dark MetalGreymon’s terrifying debut, Wormmon continuing to be the emotional MVP, and why Matt showing up for Tai at the end feels like such a perfect classic Digimon friendship moment. This episode really raises the stakes for the Emperor arc, and honestly… Dark MetalGreymon is nightmare fuel. | Ken’s Secret | 11 May 2026 | 01:39:46
In this episode of My Adventures With Digimon, we’re breaking down Digimon Adventure 02 Episode 8, “Ken’s Secret,” and this one was just a blast, getting to see Ken interact with the DigiDestined in the real world during the soccer match adds such a fun (and slightly off) layer, especially as Davis tries to prove himself, but everything shifts once we hit the Digital World and that intense Deltamon moment where Davis is forced to choose between his friends. It all builds to that huge final reveal, the Digimon Emperor’s identity finally clicks, and realizing it’s been Ken all along completely changes the way this story feels going forward. | Guardian Angel | 04 May 2026 | 01:22:32
Our Digimon podcast dives into 2x7: “Guardian Angel,” where everything goes sideways as Kari gets trapped alone in the Digital World and the stakes suddenly feel way more real. While the Digi-Destined are busy taking down Control Spires, a brutal Guardromon defense forces a retreat… except Kari and Gatomon don’t make it out, leaving them surrounded and searching for a way home. We get into the tension of that isolation, the emotional weight of Tai rushing back in to save his sister, and the huge moment of Angemon’s return right when they need hope the most. On top of that, Andromon being controlled again hits hard, especially when those old memories start breaking through, reminding us how strong these bonds really are, even against the Digimon Emperor’s control. | Family Picnic | 27 Apr 2026 | 01:25:38
Mimi’s back, and that alone makes Digimon Adventure 02 episode 6, “Family Picnic,” feel special. In our Digimon rewatch podcast and series retrospective, we’re talking about how her return shakes up the new Digi-Destined, especially her sweet dynamic with Yolei, while a simple picnic turns into chaos with a runaway sushi roll, a hidden Control Spire, and some very familiar (and brainwashed) faces. From Palmon and Togemon stepping up again to Hawkmon’s Armor Digivolution and the hilariously chaotic Roachmon brothers, this episode blends nostalgia, comedy, and real stakes in a way that really shows how much Mimi still matters in this world. | Old Reliable | 20 Apr 2026 | 01:13:44
In this episode of our Digimon Adventure 02 rewatch podcast, we’re talking about “Old Reliable,” a Digimon Season 2 Episode 5 recap that brings Joe back into the Digital World and reminds everybody why he’s still one of the real ones. There’s something so satisfying about seeing Joe step back into the action while Gomamon reaches out for help, and this episode really lets that bond shine in the middle of all the snow, chaos, and Control Spire trouble. We get the sled plan, Cody getting sick, Frigimon and Ebidramon causing problems, and one more reminder that even when Joe feels a little older and out of step, he still shows up when it counts. This one is a fun mix of adventure, heart, and classic Digimon teamwork, and we’re digging into why Joe’s return works so well, what his role says about the bigger Digimon Adventure 02 story, and why “Old Reliable” absolutely earns its name. | Iron Vegiemon | 13 Apr 2026 | 01:46:36
Matt’s return in Digimon Adventure 02 Episode 4 “Iron Vegiemon” gives this rewatch a whole new energy, and we’re breaking down how his reunion with Gabumon and the team shifts everything, from the chaotic rescue mission and the Digimon Emperor’s obvious trap to Davis struggling to be taken seriously and clashing with the group. We get into the emotional weight of Gabumon searching for Matt, the nostalgia hit of Garurumon showing up again, and how this episode really starts connecting Adventure 02 back to the original series, while also introducing major stakes with the Control Spires and what it means to truly free Digimon from the Emperor’s control. | A New Digitude | 06 Apr 2026 | 01:17:18
This week on our Digimon Adventure 02 rewatch podcast, we’re talking about 2x3: “A New Digitude” and the moment this season really starts to open up. Davis, Yolei, Cody, Kari, and T.K. head back into the Digital World, run straight into the Digimon Emperor’s cruelty, and finally start to understand just how different this new fight is going to be. We get into Ken’s eerie first real spotlight, the tension of seeing Digimon forced to battle under Dark Rings again, and the big turning point with the Digi-Eggs, the D-3s, and Patamon and Gatomon unlocking Pegasusmon and Nefertimon. This one has that classic Digimon mix of danger, wonder, and “okay, now things are getting serious.” As a series retrospective, we’re also looking at how “A New Digitude” builds the identity of Digimon Adventure 02 early on, especially with the new team dynamics, the mystery around Ken, and the idea that the real battle might not stay in the Digital World forever. | The Digiteam Complete | 23 Mar 2026 | 01:29:31
Cody and Yolei finally get pulled into the Digital World for the first time, meet their Digimon face to face, and that sense of wonder really carries the whole episode. We get the old team showing up, the new group starting to find its footing, and a bigger look at how Armor Digivolution changes the game. We’re digging into the first-time Digital World energy, the contrast between the veterans and the new kids, and how this episode starts building the identity of Season 2 in a really fun way. There’s also plenty to talk about with Davis getting singled out by the Digimon Emperor, the new Digi-Egg reveals, and that great feeling of the team finally starting to come together. This one is such a key Digimon 02 episode because it mixes nostalgia, adventure, and that classic “the gang is assembling” excitement in the best possible way. | Digimon Adventure Original Story: 2½ Year Break | 09 Mar 2026 | 01:29:10
Digimon has a “lost episode,” and we had to talk about it. This week on our Digimon rewatch podcast + series retrospective, we’re breaking down Digimon Adventure Original Story: 2½ Year Break, the Japanese audio drama set in the time gap between Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02. Part time capsule, part connective tissue, and part “wait… this has been here the whole time?!” We dig into what this story adds to the canon feel of the two-and-a-half-year gap, how it reframes the jump to 02, and why “lost Digimon media” is basically catnip for long-time fans. Plus the big question: does it feel like Digimon Adventure, or does it feel like a weird side quest from another timeline? If you’ve ever wanted more context for the post-Adventure world this is the deep dive for you. | Season One Review | 08 Dec 2025 | 01:28:02
In this episode of our My Adventures With Digimon rewatch podcast, we’re stepping back from individual episodes to look at the whole first season of Digimon Adventure as one big story. From Devimon to the Dark Masters, we talk about how the DigiDestined arcs connect, which character growth still hits (Tai, Matt, Sora, Kari, TK and the rest), and why certain emotional moments — looking at you, Wizardmon and Angemon — land even harder watching as adults. We also break down our favorite and least favorite Digimon, which villains actually scared us, the 90s vibes of the English dub, and how Season 1 stacks up against other kids’ anime now. If you’re into full-season breakdowns, nostalgia-filled Digimon Adventure Season 1 reviews, or you’re just wondering if a rewatch is worth your time, this cozy hangout in the Digital World is for you. 💾 My Adventures With Digimon is our weekly rewatch podcast where we revisit every episode of Digimon Adventure with adult eyes and childlike wonder. | The Eighth Digivice | 19 May 2025 | 00:45:48
In this episode of My Adventures With Digimon, we dive into Episode 31: “The Eighth Digivice” — where Izzy’s tech-savvy instincts lead him and Tentomon straight into a nightmare in the sewers. As Raremon oozes onto the scene, we break down the tension, the terror, and the laughs, while also exploring how this slimy detour inches the DigiDestined closer to uncovering the mysterious Eighth Child. It’s gross, it’s chaotic, and it’s classic Digimon. The DigiDestined are finally back in Tokyo… but getting home? Yeah, not happening. Between subway disasters, missed train stops, a shady ventriloquist Yokomon, and Sora’s reckless cousin Duane joyriding through the city—it’s chaos from start to finish. And just when things couldn’t get worse, a giant evil squid Digimon attacks a river in broad daylight?!
