Clare McConnell is a Canadian Screen Award–nominated actor and comedian best known for her roles as Effie Newsome on CBC’s Murdoch Mysteries and Klingon leader Dennas on Star Trek: Discovery. Her additional credits include The Book of Negroes, Between, Odd Squad, and The Magic School Bus Rides Again. She is also an accomplished voice actor, with work across a range of animated series and projects.
