| David Peralta - The Role of Spirituality in Healthy Masculinity | Ep. #64 | 23 Oct 2023 | 01:10:50 | |
David Peralta is a spiritual teacher, coach, and creator of The Soul Centered Founder. Since 2019, he’s been helping impact-driven entrepreneurs build 6- and 7-figure businesses by aligning themselves with their soul’s purpose. He’s spent over 20 years studying Zen Buddhism, eastern spirituality, and Christianity, and learned the science of how to awaken the soul directly from a spiritual master named Sri Kaleshwar in Southern India. For years, David worked as a sought-after SEO and content marketing consultant. But despite the professional success, he lacked the level of fulfillment he'd always envisioned for himself. This spilled over into his family life, where he struggled to be the loving husband and father I knew I could be. But after a series of profound spiritual awakenings, David realized that he needed to stop living a life based on fear and false expectations, and start living a life centered in the soul. Once he began to do so, he experienced miraculous levels of success across all areas of his life—and a complete transformation in his relationships. Now, he helps others to open their hearts and align themselves with the wisdom and power of the soul—so they can create a lasting impact and become who they are meant to be. | Unpacking Narcissism - The Original Douchebag | #45 | 22 Nov 2021 | 00:47:26
True Narcissists are douchebags! Well, they can be. Narcissism in relationships, Narcissism in the Church or other organizational leadership - it seems to be a hot topic lately and many are still trying to understand it. It tends to creep into even the most beautiful of environments and stifle initially benevolent intentions. In today's episode, Josh and Seth unpack Narcissism and its close proximity to our worlds and how it can negatively influence, control, limit and block a healthy reality or paradigm for where we’re at. In this episode you'll learn:
“The church environment, in my opinion, is a breeding ground for narcissism because of the whole service mentality.” - Josh
“Narcissism finds its safety in controlling” - Josh
“You can’t open your heart up and not be empathetic. Plant Medicine allows for you to be empathetic” - Seth
“They could be a complete asshole and you can still love them but that does not mean you’re supposed to stay in that relationship. Love is not always enough.” - Seth

| The Confusion of CoDependency | #44 | 27 Oct 2021 | 00:47:10 | |
Have you ever felt like there was a wet blanket over your mind or your heart, making it difficult to think or feel good? One reason this may be happening is because of Codependency. We experience codependency in many ways; maybe with where we live, our careers, the climate of our lives in general, but in this episode, Josh and Seth discuss Codependency within relationships. Since they can be the most difficult to navigate, overcoming Codependency in relationships could ultimately help us to overcome it in other areas of our lives as well. In this episode you'll learn:
“You’re using your need for Connection as a facade to justify violating her boundaries” - Josh “I spent years in my marriage trying to conform to what she wanted me to be without knowing how to voice my needs in the relationship” - Seth

Their conversation leads from their own personal journeys and gives a new perspective to those who are not familiar with the use of Psychedelics to assist in mental health. As Mindset and Integration Coaches, they champion the necessity of Psychedelic use for their clients. In this episode you'll learn:
“Psychedelics reverse some of the damage of depression, it’s opening up other pathways and literally expanding my mind, my consciousness, and helping me heal myself.” - Josh Cearbaugh “One of the greatest reasons to ever use plant medicine is to increase your self-love, to fall back in love with ourselves, to have this level of self-love, so that we can begin to choose really good things for us in our life and the people around us see that.” - Seth Conner LinksHost Name: Josh Cearbaugh https://www.instagram.com/jcearbaugh/ https://facebook.com/joshcearbaugh https://www.jumpstartyourlife.com

| The Unexpected Takeaways From My Ayahuasca Retreat | Ep #41 | 11 Mar 2021 | 00:37:52 | |
I wasn't sure what to fully expect going into my first ayahuasca retreat. I had heard everything from "You're going to see demons and talk to the devil" to "it will be the most healing experience of your life." I came into it with a few intentions, but also a heart posture of being open to whatever the experience had for me.
I walked away from the retreat with a few unexpected answers, some deeply healing moments, and mixed feelings about the experience. Today's episode dives into each of those aspects and hopefully helps bring clarity to anyone who may be considering ayahuasca.

There are several well-intended men who slowly lose themselves in a relationship. They do all they can to "love" the other person, not realizing their actions lead to feeling insecure and ultimately causes them to doubt their own intuition. The painful reality is it leads to becoming "less of a man" in their own eyes as well as their partner. We're talking about codependence... it can be less obvious than you may think. Today we're going to dive into tangible ways to identify and disrupt the unhealthy cycles created from codependent relationships.

They are a time to be thankful, celebrate, and share with one another, all of which are some of the most beautiful qualities life has to offer. But for some men, this time of year is horrible. It brings up pain, old trauma, and isolation. I'm talking specifically for men who are single dads. Today is nothing more than a short, heartfelt conversation meant to let you know I see your pain, you're not alone, and you have the ability to finish this year strong.

| Why You Should Use "Feeling Like a Fraud" as Fuel & Encouragement | Ep #37 | 09 Nov 2020 | 00:20:25 | |
As men, we've all felt like a fraud at some point but did you know it could actually be a positive thing? I'm not talking about hiding behind false humility or using it as a way to emotionally abuse yourself into "success". I'm referring to using the feeling of being a fraud as an indicator that you're moving through the stages of competency. Once you learn how to identify it within the stages you begin to see how to use it as an encouragement to keep moving forward rather than a catalyst for a self-doubting spiral. Stages of competencyUnconscious incompetence The individual does not understand or know how to do something and does not necessarily recognize the deficit. They may deny the usefulness of the skill. The individual must recognize their own incompetence, and the value of the new skill, before moving on to the next stage. The length of time an individual spends in this stage depends on the strength of the stimulus to learn.[5] Conscious incompetence Though the individual does not understand or know how to do something, they recognize the deficit, as well as the value of a new skill in addressing the deficit. The making of mistakes can be integral to the learning process at this stage. Conscious competence The individual understands or knows how to do something. However, demonstrating the skill or knowledge requires concentration. It may be broken down into steps, and there is heavy conscious involvement in executing the new skill.[5] Unconscious competence The individual has had so much practice with a skill that it has become "second nature" and can be performed easily. As a result, the skill can be performed while executing another task. The individual may be able to teach it to others, depending upon how and when it was learned. | Psychedelics and Christianity with Seth Conner | Ep #32 | 14 Sep 2020 | 01:09:36
We have been taught to fear what we don't understand and that truth can easily be found when you start talking about psychedelics. It's much harder to pause your default reaction to a topic, stop and listen to someone who may offer a different point of view, and possibly expand your understanding of this amazing life we get to live. Offense is an easy way to find where religion has gotten in the way of your connection to God. Keep that in mind for today's episode and do your best to listen before jumping to conclusions. Today's Guest: A former Marine who served in combat operations in Fallujah, Iraq during 2004; Seth now operates in the civilian sector as a serial entrepreneur in the digital marketing space. As a Christian with a drive to become better in all areas of his life and a passion for truth - while reconciling the inconsistencies between religion, science, history, and philosophy - Seth happened upon Psychedelics as a key that began to unlock the connectedness of the aforementioned fields of interest. At the same time, it provided depth in healing, spiritual awakening, expanded consciousness, and more importantly - a deeper love for self and others. • Company - www.socialbrandsyndicate.com Important URL's:

Understanding Dreams - Our first series! It's proven that sleep (or lack thereof) can drastically affect almost every area of your life. Much like masculinity, the time you sleep is "multifaceted". Dreams are only one aspect, but they can be used to guide you through life, unlock parts of your true identity, and draw you closer to God. We spend roughly 1/3 of our life sleeping, so I thought it was only appropriate we stick with the rule of 3's and break down dreams in a three-part series. | How Feeling Like a Fraud Can be a Good Thing | Ep #27 | 12 Aug 2020 | 00:04:49
