117 | Rebirth with Kenzie Burke

mercredi 13 juillet 2022Durée 59:34

In today’s episode, McLean is joined by Kenzie Burke as they dive into Kenzie's journey of awakening and rebirth. Based in Malibu, California, Kenzie Burke is the founder of BRÛLÉ; a clothing line whose namesake stems from its definitional association with fire. For founder and designer Kenzie Burke, fire is the impetus from which artistry springs forth. After gaining acclaim in the health and wellness space, Kenzie burnt it down to launch her lifelong passion: a clothing line focused on bringing lasting taste into fashion. BRÛLÉ is where life emerges from ashes.

Kenzie previously managed a wellness social media account and created a podcast with more than 600,000 downloads. She also produced three health and wellness books and a superfood line of biodynamic coffee and cacao. However, in 2021, she disengaged from wellness and focused solely on fashion.

McLean was inspired by Kenzie’s pivot and wanted to have her on the show to be an authentic example of how to support yourself through massive change. Kenzie shares how and why she had to drop everything and what it felt like to deeply surrender in order to get back up and rebuild herself again.

In this episode of Mother the Mother:

  • Kenzie's rebirth and rebuilding herself in a new way
  • What attributed to her social media success
  • Awakening journey and the evolution from her old business
  • Having a sense of clarity and longevity with what career path to venture in
  • Enzyme cleanse, energy change, and coming back better and stronger

108 | Spiritual Lives of Babies & Mothers with Emily The Medium

mercredi 2 mars 2022Durée 01:23:55

Today on Mother The Mother, McLean is joined by good friend and professional Psychic Medium, Emily Greene, also known as Emily The Medium. Emily helps connect people with their loved ones on the other side, provide psychic guidance on people's life path, and connect people to the Souls of the children they are meant to have. She and McLean share some powerful moments from a card pull, and then dive into how they’ve been honoring the changing seasons in their own lives, even if it means taking a step back. Plus, they discuss Emily’s work and how she’s been experiencing the energetic shift in pregnancy and births.

In this episode of Mother the Mother:

  • Emily’s story and why she felt pulled into the work she does
  • How intuition has become a mainstream concept
  • Why the energetic missions of babies being born today are more amplified than ever
  • The rise in miscarriages and stillbirths in relation to our current cultural moment

Treating Yourself:

If you feel like treating yourself with some Organic and Nutrient-dense power food teas, hot chocolates, tonics, and green juice from Organifi. Use my code “mother” at checkout to always receive 15% off your purchase. I have been loving adding in both Green and Gold juices as part of my daily routine.

Also, an amazing company that I LOVE for Prenatal, Postnatal, and Motherhood Nutrition is https://thisisneeded.com use my code “motherthemother” at check-out for 20%. They focus on helping women thrive nutritionally during pregnancy and afterward. Most prenatal vitamins are subpar and leave expectant Mamas lacking in crucial nutrients. I personally have been loving the collagen and protein powder recently as I healed my injured leg. And even 3.5 years out, I still am laser-focused on building back my tissues after the birth of my second daughter.

I see you, I hear you, I love you.

015 | Embracing What Is: Motherhood + Integrative Reiki + Zen Buddhism | with Lara Elliott

mercredi 26 juin 2019Durée 01:16:08

Lara Elliott, M.S. LAc is the incredible, inspiring woman who taught me reiki, and she’s really become a dear friend over the years. I have so much respect for the way that she works and how she has studied so many different modalities: craniosacral therapy, Reiki, acupuncture, chinese medicine, and Zen Buddhism to name a few. But before she transitioned into the healing arts, Lara was in the fashion world for years – and I love that because I really resonate with body workers or healers who have walked the walk and lived many different lives. I find it easier to connect with and trust the people who have really lived. I don’t think that’s necessarily right for everybody, but it’s important for me when I’m trusting someone to enter my sacred space and help me heal. 013 | MagaMama on Women's Worth + Single Motherhood + Up Leveling in Business | with Kimberly Ann Johnson

mercredi 12 juin 2019Durée 01:17:40

Kimberly Ann Johnson is a dear friend and colleague, and she has been an expander and inspiration for me ever since inviting me to be on her podcast! I joined her just four days before I gave birth to Goldy Wolf, and I was in the “birth zone” so I loved sharing what it was like to be in that portal and what my hopes and dreams were for my birth (spoiler: they came true!). That was my first ever podcast interview, so really, you can think of Kimberly as my “podcast mom!” Kimberly is a Sexological Bodyworker, a Somatic Experiencing trauma resolution practitioner, a birth doula, and a single mom. She specializes in helping women prepare for birth, recover from birth injuries and birth trauma, and heal from sexual trauma. She is the author of the bestselling book The Fourth Trimester: A Postpartum Guide to Healing Your Body, Balancing Your Emotions and Restoring Your Vitality, an incredible book that I recommend to any new mom or mom-to-be! She is also the creator of Activate Your Inner Jaguar, an online course ushering women into their full voices and sexual expression. 012 | Big Feelings: Discussing Trust + Allowing for Miracles as I Leave Town (Without My Kids!) | Real Talk

mercredi 5 juin 2019Durée 30:43

Our society likes to talk about the hard things in life after they’ve already happened; we like to wait until we’ve already gone through the healing process and found some closure. But I don’t. I like to talk about things while I’m going through them, and I like to listen to people while they’re going through their own stuff. Especially in this space, I think it’s really important to know how people feel when they’re actually going through the thing – because almost all of us are going to go through a pregnancy or support a loved one going through a pregnancy at some point in our lives, and almost all of us are going to have some difficulties during the postpartum period! And, because we often feel alone when we’re going through difficult times, it can be so powerfully healing to hear these stories. So, today, I want to talk about my experience as I prepare to leave my children for an extended period of time, for the first time since my first child was born.
