My top sales advice doesn't have anything to do with strategies or tactics or building rapport or overcoming objections...it is to make them laugh. Genuinely try to facilitate and build a connection with the person sitting on the other side of the computer screen. Just be yourself and try to make the experience, dare I say fun! If you can make them smile and laugh they will drop the defensive wall that most people have up in those situations. There's a whole lot more that goes into it so let's dive in!

On one hand, goals, targets and deadlines are great for getting us focused and driving in a singular direction but on the other hand there are unrealistic expectations that we thrust on ourselves in too short of a window. So yes, goal setting and establishing targets can get your butt in gear but too much pressure will put you into a state of desperation. If you're building a business from a place of desperation it will lead you to failure.

If you help your client solve their problem this is going to create new problems for them. If you don't offer a solution to them help them solve those problems they are going to look for someone else to help them. Focusing on the problem will not effectively help you actually solve that problem. If you constantly flood your brain with negativity and bad news it is hard to think positively and move forward powerfully. My suggestion is to surround yourself with words and people that want what you want and inspire you to do amazing things. Again, where your attention goes your energy flows.

In Jordan Belfort's book Way Of The Wolf he talks about getting straight lines sales and in order to get a straight line sale the prospect must trust the product, you, and the company (aka the brand.) If there's a mistrust or a disconnect between any of those and the prospect either won't buy or they will not be your ideal client. Time to look in the mirror. Do you genuinely love what you do? Get real with yourself here. Listen, you are the product. I used to create documents about my vision and what I wanted to build and I would often write down who I was and who I wanted to become. There's no issue with this, in fact I would highly recommend it and we even have our clients start building out their own visions. But if you aren't actively taking action on what you say you want then there's a breach of integrity that we must zero in on. I've gone through it all and I know how hard and challenging this can be. Selling online can seem complicated with all this talk about funnels and sales pages and applications and CRMs etc etc but it doesn't have to be that complicated especially if you are just starting out. The biggest problem that I see online coaches and entrepreneurs make is that they are trying to sell something to their audience that they just don't want OR that they don't want bad enough. Mix that with a high ticket offer and you are digging yourself into a hole that's difficult to sell your way out of. Don't stress because it's an easy solution...find a deeper problem to solve for your niche and then present that. There's more so let's dive in!

Woke up and immediately had the thought of..eff this. However, that thought lasted roughly 60 seconds until I put my feet on the floor and shifted my perspective to gratitude. Not some woohoo everything is great and all sunshines and rainbows but rather a deep sense of appreciation for the problems in my life right now. I would rather have the chance to solve the problems in my life today than my problems of a few years ago. The longer you're in this game the more challenging it becomes...and I love that.

If your car is making a funky noise or your leg is in pain you're probably not going to try and fix it yourself. If something is clearly wrong you'll most likely go see a mechanic or a doctor, you'll seek expert's advice on fixing that issue. But something about business owners whether it's pride or ego or whatever it is, we tend to say everything is good and we ignore the check engine light that comes on in our business. Don't let that be you, seek the help you need, doesn't need to be from us but if building your business is important and there's a light on, get it checked out.

The biggest mistake and pitfall I see people make when it comes to goal setting is that they focus on the result or the physical thing that they are after. Of course we are setting goals because we want that thing but we have to remember that humans are spiritual creatures. If you were to peal back the curtain or look under the hood you would see that we are really craving growth and expansion. Remember this the next time you set up your goals and make this perspective shift to see some massive results.
