Are You Here?: Parenting Through Grief with Jenny Robinson Clark
Épisode 41
lundi 8 juin 2026 • Durée 23:22
Losing a parent is always hard. But, how do you talk to your kids about grief while also trying to heal yourself?
In this episode of Momcozy Village: Together We Grow, Natalie Gouché chats with actress and author Jenny Robinson Clark about loss, parenting through grief, and what led her to write her children’s book Are You Here?.
Jenny talks about losing her mother in 2018 and a powerful moment that began her healing. She woke up at 3:00 AM and felt her mom was speaking to her. What began as song lyrics she wrote with her husband, Travis Clark, later became a children’s book about noticing the special ways our loved ones stay with us.
Jenny shares what it was like to grieve while raising young kids, how she moved through the stages of grief, and the habits that helped her find peace again. She mentions meditation, prayer, journaling, and even talking to her mom every day, showing that remembering loved ones can be part of daily life.
Jenny also talks about being open with her kids about emotions, helping them be curious about death rather than scared, and allowing both joy and grief to coexist.
Overall, Jenny thinks that going through grief has made her a more communicative, conscious parent who is able to talk to her children about difficult topics and help them grow.
Episode Highlights
01:12 – What is Are You Here? about and why did Jenny write it?
03:49 – Trying something new during every pregnancy.
06:49 – The dreams, desires, and purpose outside of pregnancy.
07:44 – How Jenny kept parenting through her grief.
10:25 – Connecting with a loved one when they’re no longer there.
12:20 – Jenny’s children were part of her grief process.
17:44 – What Jenny wishes every parent knew about grief.
21:02 – How grief changed Jenny’s parenting style.
About the Guest: Jenny Robinson Clark
Jenny Robinson Clark is a believer in the enduring power of love and the magical signs all around us. The first draft of Are You Here? was written in the wee hours of the morning in a season of grief after the passing of her mom, Gigi. Her husband, Travis, turned Gigi's message into a hit song and then encouraged her to develop it into a children's book. Prior to her life as a mom/author/entrepreneur, she was a dancer and actor in California.
With a lot of faith and courage, Jenny and Travis relocated the family from Orlando, FL to Nashville, TN to build a creative life with their four children. Through storytelling and song, they hope to offer comfort to anyone who has deeply missed someone and still longs to feel close.
Jenny Robinson was an actor known for Meet the Spartans, Iron Man 2, and Burlesque. She has been married to Travis Clark of the band We The Kings since December 30, 2014.

When Motherhood Feels Heavy: Getting Help for Postpartum Depression
Épisode 40
lundi 25 mai 2026 • Durée 24:09
Mental health challenges are the most common complication during pregnancy and after childbirth, affecting at least one in five women. Even so, many mothers find it hard to tell when their feelings go beyond just normal tiredness. How can parents tell the difference, and where can they get help?
In this episode of Momcozy Village: Together We Grow, host Natalie Gouché talks with Adrienne Griffen, Executive Director of the Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance. Adrienne shares her own experience with postpartum depression, including the challenges of getting care while raising both a toddler and a newborn.
Adrienne explains that mental health screening should happen more than once, during pregnancy, around childbirth, and throughout the postpartum period. She talks about how joy and overwhelm can exist together, but when depression or anxiety start to outweigh joy, it’s important to notice.
She also points out that if thoughts become overwhelming, like feeling unable to keep going, it may be time to reach out for support.
They also discuss the biological and life stress factors that can affect a mother’s mental health. Adrienne explains why planning ahead for the postpartum period and building a support system early are important.

Press Record on the Magic: Turning Imperfect Holidays into Lasting Memories
Épisode 30
lundi 24 novembre 2025 • Durée 25:05
How can filming everyday moments help parents slow down, find gratitude, and reconnect with the beauty of the holidays?
In this episode of the Momcozy Village: Together We Grow podcast, Lalaina Rabary welcomes Kalee Isbell, founder of Isbell Family Films, a company that turns everyday family videos into cinematic keepsakes.
Kalee shares how filming her children began as a form of healing during the early, overwhelming days of motherhood and evolved into a way to see her family and herself with fresh eyes. Together, Lalaina and Kalee explore how recording the small, unfiltered moments can shift your perspective, remind you that you’re doing enough, and become a gift to your future self.
They discuss why ‘perfect’ holiday videos aren’t the goal, how to embrace the messy and the candid, and how to capture memories without feeling like you’re missing them. Kalee also offers practical advice, from filming horizontally and thinking like a storyteller to balancing presence with preservation—and explains why recording is actually a form of mindfulness, not distraction.
The conversation also touches on how to navigate consent, include kids in the creative process, and recognize when it’s okay just to put the camera down. With warmth and humor, Kalee reminds parents that the most meaningful memories aren’t staged—they’re the small, real moments that tell the truth of our families.
Episode Highlights
00:39 – How did recording videos become so important to Kalee?
05:45 – What was the first ever family film that Kalee shot?
07:02 – Is there a perfect setting for reading to your children?
08:17 – Kalee’s message to the moms who are striving for a picture-perfect holiday season.
10:28 – Some heartwarming feedback from Kalee’s clients.
13:45 – Kalee’s top video capture tips for busy moms.
17:07 – Staying present and recording.
19:35 – Tips for capturing a perfectly imperfect Thanksgiving.
21:21 – Consent is important when recording.
About the Guest: Kalee Isbell
Kalee Isbell is a filmmaker, storyteller, and founder of Isbell Family Films, a company born from her own journey through postpartum depression. In the early days of motherhood, Kalee found solace and purpose in creating personal family videos—transforming fleeting phone footage into heartfelt films. What began as a private act of healing has grown into a mission: helping families, couples, and professionals preserve the beauty of their everyday lives.
Through her work, Kalee shows that the most meaningful memories aren’t the picture-perfect snapshots we share online, but the candid, real-life moments that often go unnoticed. She offers practical, actionable tips for capturing and preserving personal stories, insights into how authentic video content can strengthen relationships and brands, and a refreshing reminder that imperfection is where the magic lives.

Losing a baby is one of the most devastating experiences a family can endure, yet it remains a subject that is often hidden in silence. How can parents navigate the grief of infant loss, find support, and begin to heal while honoring their babies’ memory?

The conversation explores how partners experience grief differently, the importance of holding space for multiple “faces of grief” such as sadness, guilt, anger, or even relief, and the value of rituals, memory-making, and community support in honoring babies who have died. Angelica emphasizes that grief is not an illness but a deeply human process, and she offers practical advice for seeking therapy, reconnecting with the body, and building supportive networks.

What's Your Cozy Gap Moment?
Épisode 24
lundi 22 septembre 2025 • Durée 00:50
We’re taking a short break this week, but in the meantime, we wanted to let you know about our Momcozy Brand Day Campaign: Cozy By You.
This year, we’re asking: what’s standing between you and a cozier motherhood?
We call those moments the Cozy Gap, the little barriers that keep comfort just out of reach. And we’d love for you to share yours. Post your story with the hashtag TheCozyGap, or visit our campaign page linked in the show notes.
Every Momcozy product is shaped with this Village in mind, so your voice helps us create comfort that truly matters.
