Jessica Hundley (she/her), author & editor of The Library of Esoterica series 

Jessica Hundley is an author, filmmaker and journalist. She has written for the likes of Vogue, Rolling Stone, and The New York Times, and has authored books on artists including actor Dennis Hopper, director David Lynch, and musician Gram Parsons. She has directed numerous music videos and documentaries, and often explores the counterculture in her work, with a focus on metaphysics, psychedelia, and magic. She is the Author and Editor of Taschen's The Library of Esoterica  a multi-volume encyclopedia series that explores how centuries of artists have given form to mysticism, translating the arcane and the obscure into enduring, visionary works of art. Each subject is showcased through both modern and archival imagery culled from private collectors, libraries, and museums around the globe. The result forms an inclusive visual history, a study of our primal pull to dream and nightmare, and the creative ways we strive to connect to the divine.

A little bit about our Astrologers:

Karima is an Astrologer, Tarot Reader, and Witch. She studied astrology with the Faculty of Astrological Study in London where she learned traditional astrology and was able to understand the language of the cosmos. Fascinated by the unseen world and the human mind. She has been studying all kinds of magic and signed up for many psychological classes in the city. Her practice of astrology is intertwined with the tarot which helps her get more insight into the transit. As an activist and politician, Karima's purpose is to help people during a period of time where they feel lost and misunderstood by the world.

Mariana is a Circassian Astrologer, Writer and Creator. Born and raised in an ethnically segregated area of Russia, she moved to the US at the age of 18. Before pursuing astrology as a career she graduated from theater school in NYC, worked as an event organiser and grant writer for Environmental non-profit. From the moment she started the exploration of the Cosmic language in 2011 everything began to change and shift. Astrology has become a tool of self-discovery, slow unfolding of the potential and a language through which one can connect to the Cosmos and to one’s true self. Mariana has studied Astrology on her own for 4 years before she began taking courses at Moscow Academy of Astrology. She likes to weave traditional astrological techniques with modern astrological findings. Mariana believes that the main purpose of her work is to help students and clients to find their own inner teacher, guide and connect to their unique path through the art of Astrology.

She studied astrology with the Faculty of Astrological Study in London where she learned traditional astrology and was able to understand the language of the cosmos. Fascinated by the unseen world and the human mind. She has been studying all kinds of magic and signed up for many psychological classes in the city. Her practice of astrology is intertwined with the tarot which helps her get more insight into the transit. As an activist and politician, Karima's purpose is to help people during a period of time where they feel lost and misunderstood by the world.

Mariana is a Circassian Astrologer, Writer and Creator. Born and raised in an ethnically segregated area of Russia, she moved to the US at the age of 18. Before pursuing astrology as a career she graduated from theater school in NYC, worked as an event organiser and grant writer for Environmental non-profit. From the moment she started the exploration of the Cosmic language in 2011 everything began to change and shift. Astrology has become a tool of self-discovery, slow unfolding of the potential and a language through which one can connect to the Cosmos and to one’s true self. Mariana has studied Astrology on her own for 4 years before she began taking courses at Moscow Academy of Astrology. She likes to weave traditional astrological techniques with modern astrological findings. Mariana believes that the main purpose of her work is to help students and clients to find their own inner teacher, guide and connect to their unique path through the art of Astrology.

An interview with a Modern Witch!

Madre Jaguar is a Reiki Master, Shamanic Healer, Clairvoyant, Tarot Reader, Teacher, Birth Doula and Intuitive Artist.

Madre Jaguar has always walked between worlds. They are the child of Salvadoran immigrants; of Mayan, Pipil, and Garifuna descent. Born in the vortex of Los Angeles, California and raised in the land of mysticism and magic realism, Mexico - where they currently reside.

Nature was their first teacher. Most of their childhood was spent observing and studying the cycles and seasons of Earth, connecting and experimenting with the energy of the elements, animals, herbs, plants, flowers, rocks, crystals and beings seen and unseen. As a child, their maternal grandmother, Mama Carlota, taught Madre Jaguar ways to communicate with the plant kingdom; to sing to them and to listen to their songs. Their Abuela also taught them ways in which these plant allies could be used to treat all kinds of ailments from a tummy ache to a broken heart.

As an adult, a passion for helping others and a strong desire to help propel positive change in the world, led Madre Jaguar on a path of self-discovery and exploration of different healing modalities including Tarot, Traditional Mexican Medicine, Energy Healing, Folk Magic, Womb Wisdom and Herbalism. They have studied with indigenous healers and teachers in Mexico, Central America and Peru. It was in the Amazonian jungles of Peru where they received the name “Madre Jaguar,” which translates to Jaguar Mother. This name was gifted by plant spirits with the mission and commitment to become a protector and friend to all.

Madre Jaguar believes that Love is our superpower. As human beings we are here to bless and be blessed by all of creation. Harmony and Joy are our birthright. Through their healing practice, readings, classes and projects Madre Jaguar’s goal is to help you connect with the inner power, wisdom and magic that lies within; all while helping you remember your Divine origin and unique soul purpose.

Maria Minnis (she/her) is a writer, oracle, and teacher originally from greater Appalachia who teaches about magical writing, everyday magic, and holographic thinking. She is the author of the popular blog series, Anti-Racism with the Tarot.
