The hunting season is almost here for all of us, and for some of us, it has already begun! In this episode, I share a story from this past weekend's youth hunt with my youngest son. We had the best time, but then a nasty little voice tried to creep into my mind. That ugly voice tells you that everyone else is killing deer but you and that you need to get it done, or you are nothing.

In this episode, we are joined by Lone Wolf Custom Gear pro staff and all-around big buck killer Jace Allen. Jace covers hunting in the Mid-West Ag Land from early through the late season and how deer use ag for food, shelter, and travel. How did you fail today? It's an uncomfortable question to ask ourselves, but if you're not failing, you're not learning. I spent many years afraid to fail in the deer woods, and it held me back from getting on good deer. I was scared to fail and bump bucks and mess everything up. My avoidance of failure meant I was never really in the game. After interviewing elite level hunters for this podcast, I have found that all of them are not afraid of failure and press the envelope when hunting. They are not scared of failure and even seek it out!

Although he has only been hunting for five years, he has accomplished more in that short time than most hunters will achieve in their entire careers. Bret Postal of Angell Roads Outdoors podcast joins us to talk about the 2023 public land giant he was able to make it happen on. There is a ton of great nuggets in this podcast! 

This week, we are joined by Chris Weist. Chris is a PA hunter who has had amazing success taking some great bucks in PA, OH, and MA. Chris breaks down what makes a good scrape, how to prep them for cameras, and how to set up on them. He also goes over overlooked signs that some hunters miss. 

We are joined by Kevin Vistisen of the Deer Hunter podcast and Josh Arbogast as they debate the use of Antler Point Restrictions and other regulatory changes they would like to see implemented in Michigan. 

This week, Gary Grunow will join us to discuss the different stages of a deer hunter and tactics. Gary has killed over 30 bucks and is an experienced public land hunter from Wisconsin.
