The Dynamics of Millennial Leadership In A Family Business With Akash & Nikita Mehta
mercredi 7 avril 2021 • Durée 01:20:16
Millennials are unsurprisingly challenging the traditional styles of leadership with completely different values and expectations from their leaders. As we learn from the sibling duo Akash and Nikita Mehta, communication, relationship-building and empowerment are some of the major key components influencing their leadership styles. Akash became the youngest ever global digital manager for Dior aged 25 and is a Forbes 30 Under 30 as well as a TEDx speaker. Nikita has a background in developing sustainable initiatives for LVMH, and spent many years in her family business of luxury perfumery, who excitingly were behind the fragrance for Formula 1. Recently the duo have launched a holistic wellness brand called Fable and Mane. The brand is based on ancient Ayurvedic rituals for the healing of the hair with a fund developed to protect tigers in the wild. More on the brand at https://fableandmane.com/
Key Lessons:
- Your name reflects your soul’s purpose
- A brand should be founder led but not founder reliant
- When you go against the flow of life and destiny, conflict happens
- Age is not experience dependent and experience is not expertise dependent
