88: Stories of Hope, the infertility journey of Stephanie Kraemer

mercredi 19 février 2025Durée 35:12

Stories not only connect us, but they provide healing, hope, and ultimately are the foundation of relationships and empathy. Continuing with my series: Stories of Hope, Connecting Women Battling Infertility, I am sharing my guest's battle and journey that many of you may resonate with. We are breaking the silence surrounding this struggle that more and more women are dealing with.

Allow me to introduce today's guest, Stephanie Kraemer. Stephanie Kraemer is an author, animal ambassador, frequent flyer, and wine enthusiast (yes, she’ll happily take some cheese with that). Passionate about making an impact, Stephanie currently serves as USOA Mrs. Wisconsin 2025, using her platform to uplift her community. She and her husband, Kyle, are proud infertility warriors, living in Sauk City with their beloved platoon of fur babies.

Join Stephanie and I as we discuss methods of trying to conceive, her battle dealing with miscarriages, the love she still has and gives to her community, and how she has fought to find the strength to still keep trying to start a family with her husband. Hear her message today and find out how you can still find ways to feed into a heart of service in this special guest feature.

If you have battled some form of infertility and would like to be featured on my podcast, please reach out to me via social media today. Let's share your story to provide hope and healing for other women.

87: Series: Stories of Hope, My Battle With Infertility

mercredi 12 février 2025Durée 50:53

I would venture to bet that you probably know a woman who has battled some form of infertility. Infertility has many facets and looks different for any family, but ultimately the definition is the inability to concieve or carry to term after a year or more of trying.

This has been an episode on my heart for over three years now, but I never had the guts to finally sit down and record the full story until now. Today, as we celebrate Valentine's week and all things love, I am sharing the love my family was finally able to share with our little boy who joined our family through the beautiful journey of adoption.

Go deep with me, even as I fight back tears, to share my battle of infertility, the methods I considered when trying to conceieve, and how we finally ended up choosing an adoption agency. I provide insights for families that may be considering adoption or fostering, to even the choices I had to make concerning my hormones and trying to get pregnant.

Why am I sharing this episode? I go deeper in the podcast, but I feel within the depths of my soul that I need to open up about this struggle in order to help connect other women who may be battling infertility. This is the first episode in a series I have titled Stories of Hope: Connecting Women Battling Infertility. Stories provide healing, hope, and empathy. I am compelled to bring this topic to light for many women, bringing more awareness to an issue that is typically a silent struggle.

Join me today as I tell our complete story to bringing our baby boy home, and more about the selfless choice a young woman made in order to see a bright future for her son.

If you have battled some form of infertility and would like to be featured on my podcast, please reach out to me via social media today. Let's share your story to provide hope and healing for other women.

78: When Life Dumps Snow on You, Make Snow Angels.

jeudi 28 février 2019Durée 37:04

Are you having a bonkers winter where you are at, my dear? I am going on day 3 this week, day 7 total, of being snowed in - we seriously haven't been able to get our cars (even my husband's truck) out of our road because of snow drifts for miles.

It may sound crazy, especially if you live on a road that the city plows, but out in the sticks for us country bumpkins, it is just another day in the frozen tundra.

Just the other night in order to get home, we had to take a snowmobile to our place, with luggage! You have to listen to that story at the end of the podcast today, as well as all of our adventures of the snowstorm of February 2019.

Here's the thing: I could get upset, feel sorry for myself, and even complain all day long. But that wouldn't get me out of the house, or create any positives in my life.

So rather than whine, I decided to think about the biggest life lessons this snowpocalypse has taught me, and how you can create Snow ANGELS out of Snow, no matter what the storm of life is dumping on you.

I hope you enjoy today's episode and the 5 biggest life lessons from the snow!

74: Fake it Until You Make It - Defeating Victim Mentality

jeudi 24 janvier 2019Durée 25:17

"If I fall asleep at this exact moment... I will get 5 hours of sleep. Okay I can function on 5...

An hour later... Okay, if I fall asleep right now, I will get 4 hours of sleep. Better than nothing...

Okay, its 6:00 am, can I please just get an hour nap?

No? Oh, okay..."

Have you ever been there? Battling with insomnia, depression, anxiety, or something similar? I get it. If you have been following my journey for a little bit, you know a little bit about my struggles with debilitating insomnia, anxiety, and depression. (to here my full journey to health, listen to episode number 1, Deidra's Journey.

Things are much better now, but I am no where near a perfect record for consecutive nights of sleep. Of course, whenever a big launch, one-on-one session, or presentation is coming up for me... I...DON"T...SLEEP. Period.

I didn't sleep the night before my online live masterclass - where over 600 women had registered to learn my tips to looking polished and pulled together. I wasn't energized, I wanted to quit, and I wanted to be a VICTIM.

It is so easy for me to slip into victimhood, feel sorry for myself, and want to just curl up in a ball on my bed with a blanket and pillow. Have you ever felt that way?

Listen to today's podcast to hear my 4 ACTION steps and tips that you can implement to help fake it till you make it, defeat victimhood, and SHOW up for those around you as the person you need to be.
