| How we can ‘Battle Back’ from adversity – Mark Shervill #377 | 03 oct. 2025 | 00:51:09 | |
On today’s show we have a wonderful conversation with Mark Shervill a tremendous coach from the hidden gem that is Lilleshall Golf Club in Shropshire I have known Mark for very many years We first met when he was a PGA Trainee at The Belfry over twenty years ago. Since then he has spent time evolving himself into a really effective coach He spent many days with Nick Middleton from Zen Golf on the DP World Tour His approach is really holistic and embraces all aspects of the Body-Mind system He and his wife Lisa Shervill, a former Ladies European Tour professional run some fantastic programs at Lilleshall especially focused around junior development His enthusiasm is infectious Perhaps the work that gives Mark most pleasure though is his work with ex forces personel in the ‘Battle Back’ program Helping ex military men and women get back on track with their lives through the medium of golf. This is genuine contribution to the game and really makes you think about the sheer privilege we have just to be able to go out and play golf in a beautiful environment We discuss the importance of creating SHOTS and the sheer joy which can be gained in turning an image in your head to the reality of a beautifully struck shot Over 50 of Mark‘s pupils have now completed the Mobilise Your Swing Programme that Mark, Lisa and Aaron have created together combining physical, technical and mental aspects of golf with great results in all of these individuals from Junior to Senior Golfers. | I will be happy when …… Karl Morris #363 | 20 juin 2025 | 00:16:25
On today’s show, we have a solo run touching on a subject, very dear to my heart, the concept of ‘I will be happy when’ How we all fall into the trap of putting off our enjoyment of life for for some perceived moment off in the future, when the stars will align everything will come together, and I will be happy ever after as a result of achieving X Y or Z. You can fill in the blanks that may be winning a major tournament. It may be winning the club championship or breaking 100 for the first time never mind creates the stories of perceived happiness off in the future, and it can be so destructive to her actual enjoyment of the game right now. Not only destructive. It actually creates a lot of tension in the system in extreme cases real fear and anxiety. Even the great Rory McIlroy seems to have fallen into the trap of this after winning the US Masters, and seemingly afterwards falling into some kind of malaise and unhappiness. He is human like the rest of us within this, but I feel there is a way out of this by really understanding the value of seen through the illusion and then falling in love with the idea of being on the path to mastery. Karl shares some key insights. How are you can embrace this philosophy to liberate your own game, and get so much closer to your true potential Enjoy this solo offering and don’t forget to give us a review wherever you get your Podcasts, why not subscribe or follow it's FREE To get on board with the Mind Caddie and join us on the journey go to OFFICIAL BRAND AMBASSADOR : Fenix Apparel and Accessories Co. | Why practice needs to be FUN and the MAGIC of the Low Point– Andreas Kali #353 | 04 avr. 2025 | 00:52:55
On today’s show we have a special coach in the shape of Denmark’s Andreas Kali who has overseen the development of numerous top players in Denmark. Due to his incredible results with so many players he has become one of the hottest coaches in golf We had a really wonderful conversation about the philosophy behind the success he has been getting in Denmark In particular about the development of the players a people not just golfers The need to create an environment of fun and learning in practice. Not just fun in the conventional sense but the fun of being REALLY engaged in the training you are doing Andreas talked about some of the setback he encountered as a player and how he wants to help his own players short circuit that learning He talked about the THREE CORE elements that drive all of his lessons and the training environments
If your coaching is not addressing those needs then is it REALLY making a difference? We talked about LOW POINT in the swing and how this simple focus of attention can make such a huge difference to most golfers enjoyment of the game but also their performance Keeping players in the game for longer Not everyone is going to be a champion but can we keep players engaged in a way that doesn’t threaten their identity as a human being You will find this conversation fascinating and you will begin to see why Andreas has been so incredibly successful with so many young players To find out more about Andreas Kali go to To start your FREE Mind Caddie 7 day trial go to To book your Mind Caddie workshop at your club go to To book your place on the ‘Lost Art of Golf’ school get in touch at OFFICIAL BRAND AMBASSADOR : Fenix Apparel and Accessories Co. | Pain and your Brain – Jim Prussack #344 | 31 janv. 2025 | 00:48:44
A potential way back to playing with less pain On today’s Mind Caddie we go in a slightly different direction but nevertheless one that I am sure will apply to so many people. PAIN!! A lot of us are playing golf in some form of pain or other It may be acute pain or chronic pain Chronic pain is at epidemic proportions If you have had pain for over 6 months it is now a chronic issue And as todays guest ‘The Pain PT’ Jim Prussack explains it is not as simple and as straightforward as we may believe. All pain is generated by the brain which doesn’t mean that the ‘pain is in your head’ It is real and it hurts But as Jim wonderfully explains when you understand the role of the brain in pain you can go in a different direction. Much pain is a result of the brains PERCEPTION Feeling of threat When we reduce the threat we reduce the pain reaction So much of this ties in with what we have explored on the Mind Caddie about the perception of threat and performance You will find this interview fascinating and it may just give you some hope of different way to approach your pain To find out about Jim’s work go to To start your FREE Mind Caddie 7 day trial go to To book your Mind Caddie workshop at your club go to

This question has driven Cameron in his quest for years How can we give golfers the smallest amount of information that has the biggest effect?
As we discussed Cameron firmly believes that the game of golf COULD be as simple as throwing a ball If the game becomes more simple then you are free to focus on other things like the golf course and actually enjoying your experience To get Cameron’s book go to To start your FREE Mind Caddie 7 day trial go to To book your Mind Caddie workshop at your club go to OFFICIAL BRAND AMBASSADOR : Fenix Apparel and Accessories Co.
