The gang eats a peach this week as they review the 1980's Italy set romance starring Armie Hammer and Timothee Chalamet, Call Me By Your Name (2017). Follow Elio as he is spending his summer in Northern Italy with his family, when the charismatic Oliver arrives to spend the summer his Elio's father's research assistant. At first they are housemates, but their relationship blooms as the summer marches on. One of the more tender love stories that is often criticized for it depicition of a sexual relationship of two males aged 17 and 24, even though age of consent in 1983 Italy was 14. The gang steals a dog so they can pet it later this week, as they review the future dystopian gun-fu movie, Equilibrium (2002). Borrowing elements from many films before it, and lending even more to films that have come in the two decades since its release, Equilibrium tells the story of John Preston (Christian Bale), a cleric in charge of hinting and destroying sense offenders in a Orwellian fascist state. When he stops taking his sense inhibitors, his eyes become opened to the reality of the world that has made him and every thing he (is not allowed to) love.

The gang busts up the Jukebox Jamboree this week, as they review John Waters' first major Studio feature, Cry-Baby (1990). Starring Johny Depp as the title character, Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker, the golden boy of the roughneck group of juvenile delinquent greasers known as the Drapes, a departure from the teen wholesome heart-throb characters he was known for playing prior to 1990. Anyone who knows John Waters' reputation may find Cry-Baby a surprisingly easy watch, due its distinct lack of filth and debauchery. The gang dives head first into one of Heather's favorite genres this week: Gerard Butler Trash Action... as they review the movie that spawned the Has Fallen Cinematic Universe, Olympus Has Fallen. While admittedly being a cheesy pie action movie, this non-stop action explosion of a movie was also directed by Antoine Fuqua, so you know it's gonna have some style that AVOD movies from today just don't have. Gerard Butler, Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckart, Angela Bassett, Robert Forster, and Ashley Judd all do their part to make this popcorn flick the best DVD in the Walmart DVD bin.

The gang sells their daughter off to LAZAR WOLF this week, as they review an all-time classic musical about life at the turn of the century in remote Russia, Fiddler on The Roof (1971). Based on the smash hit Broadway musical of the same name, the Norman Jewison directed film tells the story of Tevye, the Jewish milk man, and father of 5 daughters. Tevye must wrestle with tradition and the happiness of his family, while dealing with the sad reality of the spreading anti-Semitic sentiment of the local Authoritarian government. Even if you haven't seen this movie, you undoubtedly know some of the catchy songs: If I were a Rich Man, Matchmaker Matchmaker, Tradition, L'chaim (to life), Sunrise Sunset, Do You Love Me...
