133: #133 Why You Don't Need a 90-Day Plan to Make Progress29 May 202500:26:50
Welcome to Unstuck formerly Life In Business!

We’ve all heard it: make a 90-day plan, set quarterly targets, forecast your growth. But for many solo business owners — especially those who are neurodivergent or juggling midlife chaos — rigid long-term planning can do more harm than good. It can feel overwhelming, demotivating, and like you’re setting yourself up to fail before you’ve even started.

In this episode of Unstuck, I’m flipping the script. I’ll walk you through why traditional planning doesn’t always serve us and what to focus on instead — clarity, consistency, and momentum. You’ll learn why setting goals based on how you want to feel might move the needle more than any spreadsheet ever could, and why small wins and aligned energy are the real secret sauce in business growth.

✨ Progress isn’t always about being productive — it’s about rolling forward in a way that actually works for you.

132: #132 The Real Reason You're Not Showing Up (and What to Do About It)22 May 202500:26:52
Showing up in your business can feel like a monumental task. Not because you’re lazy or unmotivated, but because it can feel deeply vulnerable to put yourself out there. Whether it’s hitting ‘publish’ on that post, sending an email, or recording a video, it’s normal to feel that tightness in your chest and wonder, “Who even cares?”

In this episode, I’m breaking down what it really means to show up — beyond just dancing on reels or shouting the loudest. I’ll share why visibility doesn’t have to be overwhelming, how to find the right platform that suits your energy, and how to build a sustainable presence that actually feels good. We’ll also dive into why avoiding visibility often comes from fear (not laziness) and how to work with that fear rather than fight it.

✨ Showing up isn’t about being everywhere — it’s about being somewhere with purpose.

131: #131 How to Stop Talking Yourself Out of Your Own Ideas15 May 202500:27:09
Welcome to Unstuck formerly Life In Business!

You’ve been told to map it all out. Set the goals. Forecast the income. Create your 90-day plan. But what if all that planning is actually making you feel more stuck, more overwhelmed, and more likely to give up before you’ve even started?

In this episode, I’m flipping the script on rigid business planning and sharing a gentler, more effective approach — especially if you're neurodivergent, managing life alongside business, or simply craving more ease. We’ll talk about why momentum matters more than productivity, what to focus on instead of goals plucked from Instagram, and how to create a flexible plan that meets you exactly where you are.

✨ Real growth happens when you stop pushing and start rolling.

130: #130 How to Simplify Your Offers so They Actually Sell08 May 202500:26:28
Welcome to Unstuck formerly Life In Business!

If our offers are confusing us, they are definitely confusing my audience. And confused people do not buy. Today, we’re talking about how to simplify your offers so they actually sell. Because, let’s be honest, this is the whole point of being in business, right? It’s not just for the sake of it; we're here because we want to support people, but we also want to make money. There’s nothing wrong with that.

I think the real reason we complicate offers comes down to fear. A lot of it is fear. A lot of it is imposter syndrome. A lot of it is trying to please everyone. And when we try to please everyone, we end up pleasing no one, because how can 10 different problems be solved by one product or service? Sure, there are nuances to every problem we solve, but if they’re completely different things, it gets messy.

Simplifying our offers means more clarity, more focus, and better sales

129: #129 Why You're Not Broken (You're Just Ready for Something to Change)01 May 202500:27:04
Feeling flat, foggy, or like your business should be further along by now? You’re not broken — you’re just stuck. And that’s okay.

In this episode, I’m gently calling out the myth that something has to be wrong with you to want change. Spoiler alert: nothing’s wrong with you. You’ve just reached a point where the way you’re doing things doesn’t feel good anymore — and that’s your sign to pause, reflect, and gently shift direction.

We’ll talk about how to spot the (surprisingly sneaky) signs that you’re stuck, why throwing more “solutions” at the problem won’t help, and how a series of 1% tweaks can get you back into momentum — no burnout required. Plus, I’m sharing what’s behind my own rebrand and how I’m navigating change in real-time.

If you’re craving more clarity, calm, and connection in your business — this one’s for you.

✨ You don’t need fixing. You just need a new way forward (on your own terms).

128: #128 What To Do If You're Feeling Stuck As A Solo Business Owner24 Apr 202500:28:43
Feeling stuck in your business, but not sure how to get out of the fog? You’re not broken, you’re just tired of trying to do everything alone.

In this episode, I’m talking about what being stuck really looks and feels like as a solo business owner, and how you can gently start untangling your way back to clarity.

This is actually the final episode of Life in Business… but don’t worry - it’s just a name change. From next week, this podcast becomes Unstuck, and this conversation is the perfect bridge between the two. I’m reflecting on my own journey of feeling overwhelmed, second-guessing myself, and questioning what success even means. Just because you’re capable doesn’t mean you should do it all alone, and I know from experience how easy it is to keep pushing forward but still feel like you’re getting nowhere.

If you’ve been feeling drained, indecisive, or like you should be further ahead by now -  this one’s for you. I want to meet you where you are and offer the truth, permission, and practical support you actually need.

You don’t have to hustle your way out of stuckness. You just need space, support, and the right kind of nudge.

127: #127 When You've Tried Everything and You're Still Not Where You Want To Be17 Apr 202500:27:17
You’ve taken the courses, bought the planners, followed the strategies — so why are you still stuck? If you’re feeling mentally fried and like nothing’s really working, this episode will help you understand why more tactics aren’t the answer, and what to do instead.

In this honest and gently rebellious episode, I share what’s actually going on when you feel like you’ve tried everything in your business and you're still not where you want to be. Spoiler: it’s not a motivation problem, and you’re definitely not lazy. You’re just carrying too much — and no Canva template is going to fix that.

We talk about the toll of overthinking, the pressure to keep reinventing, and why clarity slips away when you’re overwhelmed and unsupported. I explain why consuming more content isn’t helping (even if your brain loves it) and how creating space to think — rather than stuffing in more strategies — is the missing piece for most solo business owners.

If you’re exhausted from trying so hard, questioning every decision, and wondering if it’s you… this is your reminder that you’re not broken. You’re just ready for a different kind of support.

126: #126 The Hidden Cost of DIYing Your Business10 Apr 202500:27:10
We solo business owners are a fiercely independent bunch — we figure stuff out, wear all the hats, and keep the wheels turning. But what if trying to do everything yourself is actually slowing you down? In this episode, I’m sharing the hidden costs of DIY-ing your business growth — from wasted time and money to missed opportunities and total overwhelm — and why investing in the right kind of support could be the smartest (and kindest) thing you ever do for yourself.

I’ll walk you through how to spot the warning signs that you’re stuck in the DIY trap, the difference between staying “busy” vs. actually growing, and how simple shifts like listening to podcasts or getting expert support can make a massive difference to your profitability, peace of mind, and long-term success.

This isn’t about scaling to a 10K month or hustling 24/7 — it’s about building a business that actually works for you. Because you deserve more than just survival mode.

💡 The sooner you stop doing it all alone, the faster you move forward.

125: #125 The Ugly Truth About Business Coaching (and Why You Might Not Need a Coach)03 Apr 202500:27:19
As a business coach with over 13 years' experience (and a fair few hard lessons along the way), I’ve seen it all — the “proven formulas,” the overpriced programs, and the subtle ways some coaches make you feel like you’re the problem. In this episode, I’m pulling back the curtain and having an honest conversation about what coaching should actually be, how to spot the red flags, and why not everyone needs a coach (really!).

We’ll talk about the real difference between coaching, mentoring, consulting, and teaching — and how so many so-called coaches are actually just selling cookie-cutter solutions. I’ll share the signs that you might benefit from coaching, the questions to ask before investing in anyone, and how to choose someone whose values truly align with yours.

This isn’t a pitch — it’s a permission slip to make informed, empowered decisions about the kind of support you really need in business… or whether you need it at all.

💡 A good coach won’t fix you — they’ll help you see that you were never broken to begin with.

117: #117 How To Build a Business You Love (Without the Hustle) Using My Sustainable Success Structure06 Feb 202500:27:47
You don’t need to burn out, push harder, or work 14-hour days to build a business you love. In this episode, I’m kicking off a brand-new mini series sharing the key elements of what I call the Sustainable Success Structure — a framework I use with my clients to create a business that’s joyful, profitable, and actually suits your life.

We’re starting with the foundations — and no, I don’t mean your business model or marketing strategy. I mean you. Your vision, your values, your mission, and the things that light you up. Without clarity on these, it’s incredibly easy to fall into hustle habits, side quests, or chasing goals that don’t actually feel good.

I’ll take you behind the scenes of my own journey — from walking out of a secure public sector job, to building a six-figure business that didn’t fulfil me, to finally aligning my business with who I am and what matters most. And I’ll help you do the same.

✨ When your business starts with purpose, the profits — and peace — are a whole lot easier to build.

115: #115 Choosing Your Challenges in Business (And Making the Right Choice)23 Jan 202500:27:55
Ever wondered why some habits stick easily while others feel impossible? In this episode, I’m unpacking the real reason behind that — and how understanding yourself better is the key to making lasting change.

Let me tell you — quitting smoking and drinking? Surprisingly easy for me. But daily exercise? That’s a whole different story. It got me thinking: some things are harder than others because of how we are wired. And that’s the same in business. Your strengths, your struggles, your neurodiversity — they all play a role in how you build habits and reach goals.

In this episode, we’re diving into what it means to choose your hard, the difference between input-hard and output-hard tasks, and how to manage your energy so you don’t burn out trying to force your way through something that just isn’t right for you.

We’ll explore:

  • The power of self-awareness in goal setting
  • What it means to choose the right kind of challenge
  • The role of neurodiversity in habit-building
  • How small, consistent action leads to big, sustainable success
  • Why saying no is essential to protecting your energy

114: #114 How to Find Your 'Why' and Stay Motivated in Business16 Jan 202500:27:40
Your why is more than a marketing soundbite — it’s the compass that keeps you going when business feels hard, messy, or uncertain. In this episode, I’m diving deep into why your why matters more than you think.

This week’s episode is a heartfelt one. I’m sharing how my own understanding of my why has shifted massively over the past 13 years in business — from simply wanting to do things differently to realising that the quiet ripple effect of my work changes lives. And that’s what keeps me going.

We’ll explore:

  • How your why evolves over time and why that’s okay
  • What to do when your business is “successful” but doesn’t feel aligned
  • The emotional power behind your deeper motivation (spoiler: mine made me cry mid-recording)
  • Why rediscovering your why makes everything — decision-making, boundaries, focus — feel easier and lighter
  • How small, personal businesses can have a huge collective impact

Your why doesn’t need to sound impressive. It just needs to feel true. If you’ve ever wondered what’s really driving you or felt disconnected from your work, this episode is for you.

112: #112 How to Set Business Goals You Can Actually Achieve02 Jan 202500:27:03
We’re not here for fluffy resolutions or overwhelming “10k months” unless they truly mean something to you. In this episode, I’m talking about how to set goals that you’ll genuinely want to stick to — because they matter to you, not Instagram.

We’ll explore:

  • Why traditional goal setting often fails (and what to do instead)
  • How to create goals based on how you want your life to feel — not just what you want to achieve
  • The power of simplicity, sustainability, and flexibility when planning out your year
  • Why your goals don’t need to impress anyone but you
  • A breakdown of how I personally approach goals in my business — including why “3 new clients a month” works better for me than “36 a year”
  • Practical tools like post-it reminders, personal check-ins, and gentle accountability that keep you motivated (without burning out)

If your current business isn’t giving you what you need — whether that’s energy, ease, time, or income — this episode is here to help you shift things. With compassion. With clarity. With goals that feel good, not goals that crush you.

111: #111 Life In Business Looking Back, Moving Forward - 2024's Wins And Wisdom31 Dec 202400:27:50
As 2023 draws to a close, I’m inviting you into a moment of honest reflection — not the “look how much money I made” kind, but the real, grounded, human kind.

In this bonus episode, I’m sharing:

  • Why leading with heart (not just head) was the most uncomfortable — and transformative — shift I made this year
  • How saying no to 1:1 work and fully committing to Confidence to Grow has been my proudest achievement
  • The wisdom of flexibility — why life will always life, and your business needs to work with it, not fight against it
  • A reminder to celebrate the tiny wins just as much as the big ones (that inbox at zero counts!)
  • Why simplifying everything (offers, strategy, expectations) is the most underrated business move you’ll ever make

Plus, I talk about how my husband and I use the quiet of Christmas to map out the year ahead (complete with pre-booked holidays), why bold was my word of the year (yes, it’s tattooed on me!), and how keeping goals simple and sustainable helps you stay motivated long after January ends.

Whether you’ve had a year of wins, wobbles, or just white-knuckling your way through, there’s space for it all here. And if nothing else, take this as your reminder: you’ve done so much more than you think — and I’m really proud of you.

110: #110 Social Media Balance: How to Market Without Burnout26 Dec 202400:27:17
I’ve been teaching social media since 2009 — yep, I’m a bit of a veteran — and I’ve seen it all. The trends, the algorithms, the obsession with follower counts, and the pressure to show up constantly. But here’s the truth: social media is just a tool. You’re allowed to use it on your own terms.

In this episode, we’ll explore:

  • How to work out why you're really using social media (and if it’s even worth it)
  • Why you don’t need to be on every platform (especially if one makes you feel awful)
  • The importance of purpose-led content over noisy trends
  • How to set boundaries around your scrolling habits — without going cold turkey
  • The difference between business use and brain-dead doomscrolling (yep, we all do it)

I’m also sharing how I decided to stop videoing this podcast, how I let go of TikTok completely, and why I recently closed my 13-year-old Facebook page. Spoiler: nothing exploded. And it gave me so much peace and clarity.

You don’t have to be everywhere. You just have to show up in a way that feels like you.

109: #109 How to Say No in Business (Without Guilt)19 Dec 202400:27:32
We’re diving into one of the most transformational tools in business (and life): saying no — kindly, confidently, and without spiralling into guilt or people-pleasing. If you've ever found yourself saying yes when you really wanted to say no, or booked something future-you just knew wouldn't feel right, I get it — and you’re not alone.

In this episode, I’m sharing:

  • Why saying no is essential for your energy, focus, and long-term success
  • The difference between saying no to protect your priorities vs. just being flaky
  • How to stop over-explaining and stand by your boundaries with calm confidence
  • What the sunk cost fallacy has to do with your calendar (and your sanity)
  • Why saying no now opens the door to a bigger, better yes later

You’ll also hear how I’ve said no to events, clients, and opportunities this year — and why that’s created more space, more peace, and more impact in my business.

No isn’t selfish. It’s strategic. And it might just be your most powerful business tool.

108: #108 How to Overcome Loneliness as a Business Owner12 Dec 202400:28:07
This one’s a heart-to-heart. Because if you’re working from home, on your own, building your business — it’s okay if some days feel really flipping lonely. Even if you're an introvert (like me). Even if you love your business. Even if it’s working on paper. Loneliness is a very real — and very common — part of life in business, and it’s time we talked about it.

In this episode, I’m sharing:

  • Why loneliness affects more solo business owners than we realise
  • How even “successful” entrepreneurs struggle with connection
  • The surprising ways it can impact your mental health and motivation
  • My honest reflections after my husband started working away
  • Creative, practical ways to feel more supported (including the M&S jumper test — yes, really)

From business buddies and co-working calls to touching jumpers in Marks & Spencer (just go with me here), you’ll come away with gentle, doable strategies to feel more connected, supported, and like you’re not doing this all alone — because you’re not.

107: #107 How to Stop Perfectionism From Holding You Back05 Dec 202400:27:19
Let’s be honest — perfectionism is exhausting. It slows us down, stops us showing up, and tricks us into thinking we’re not ready, not polished, not good enough yet. But here’s the truth: done is better than perfect. And being real is always more powerful than being ‘perfect’.

In today’s episode, we’re diving into:

  • The difference between high standards and perfectionism
  • Why chasing ‘perfect’ leads to procrastination, people-pleasing, and burnout
  • What social media, past criticism, and your inner critic have to do with it
  • How to start embracing “good enough” and get more done (with way less stress)
  • Why progress, connection, and being you will always beat polish and filters

I’ll also walk you through practical tips to reframe your perfectionist habits — including how to break goals into manageable milestones, celebrate small wins, and surround yourself with people who value you as you are.

You don’t need to be flawless to be successful. You just need to be you. Messy, brilliant, and doing your best — and that’s more than enough.

106: #106 How to Stay Focused in Your Business and Avoid Distractions28 Nov 202400:28:17
Let’s face it: modern business life is loud — with notifications, messages, and a hundred shiny things begging for your attention. And if you’re anything like me (hello fellow ADHDers!), focus doesn’t always come easily. That’s why in today’s episode, I’m sharing exactly how I stay on track and reduce distractions so I can actually finish what I start — and feel good about it.

We’re talking:

  • Why managing distractions matters (especially for your energy and productivity)
  • The impact of constant interruptions on your brain and business growth
  • How I use time-blocking, digital boundaries, and micro-goals to stay focused
  • Why you don’t need fancy tools — just systems that work for you
  • The power of celebrating small wins and being kind to yourself when things don’t go to plan

This isn’t about becoming a robot or pretending to be someone you’re not. It’s about setting yourself up to do your best work — in a way that suits your brain, your energy, and your business.

105: #105 What to Do When Your Business Feels Unstable21 Nov 202400:27:20
Wobbles — those little moments of doubt, hesitation or “what the hell am I doing?” panic — are part and parcel of running a business. We all have them. Yes, even me. Yes, even after 13 years. Yes, even today.

In this gentle, honest episode, I’m talking you through:

  • What a “wobble” actually is (and why it’s not a failure)
  • The most common causes — from comparisonitis to unmet expectations
  • Why social media might be making your wobbles worse (and what to do about it)
  • How to sit in the feeling, reflect with kindness, and not spiral
  • Practical steps for calming the chaos and regaining your footing

We’ll also explore how building strong business foundations — your values, vision and purpose — can help you bounce back quicker and stronger when life throws you off balance.

You’ll leave this episode knowing that a wobble is just a moment, not a mess — and that you can absolutely keep going. Steadier. Stronger. And still 100% human.

104: #104 Overcoming Self-Doubt in Business: Why You Are Enough14 Nov 202400:27:25
Today’s episode is one big virtual hug. Because I know how easy it is to feel like you’re not measuring up — to someone else’s business, someone else’s energy levels, someone else’s idea of success. But here’s the truth: you are enough exactly as you are.

In this gently rebellious episode, I’m talking about the pressure to constantly do more, be more, achieve more — and why that’s exhausting and unnecessary. I’ll walk you through:

  • The difference between being driven and simply knowing what you want
  • How social media can warp our sense of “success” and how to opt out
  • Why accepting your energy, personality, and preferences is your business superpower
  • What it actually means to be happy in your business — and why that’s the only goal that matters

We’ll also unpack the myth that average = failure, and how being “enough” is actually a wildly radical act in a world screaming for more.

This is your reminder that building a gentle, joyful, profitable business is possible — and you don’t need to hustle harder to get there.

103: #103 Feeling Overwhelmed? How to Regain Control in Business07 Nov 202400:27:22
This one’s for you if business feels heavy right now — if you're buried in “shoulds,” chasing someone else’s version of success, and living in a state of low-level constant stress. Trust me, I’ve been there.

In today’s episode, we’re unpacking what overwhelm really looks like for business owners (especially if you’re neurodivergent) and how to start shifting out of it by coming back to you. This isn’t about time-blocking your calendar to death. It’s about radical honesty, gentle change, and reclaiming your energy.

We’ll cover:

  • Why saying no is your new best friend
  • The hidden cost of following other people’s dreams
  • My own story of quitting what was “working” because it wasn’t working for me
  • Practical steps to start escaping the overwhelm you didn’t mean to create

102: #102 Redefining Success: Build a Business That Works for You31 Oct 202400:27:29
What if everything you've been told about success — the house, the car, the 10k months — is just... noise? This week, we're redefining success on your terms.

This episode is a gentle but powerful challenge to the traditional, flashy, externally-defined idea of “success” that floods our feeds and fuels our self-doubt. Who decided a Rolex, a team of ten, or 10,000 followers equals success? Because it sure wasn’t me.

I'm sharing why none of those markers truly matter unless you say they do — and how chasing someone else’s idea of success is a fast track to burnout, not joy. We talk about ditching the “shoulds,” tuning out the noise of social media, and creating a life and business that genuinely feels good from the inside out.

In this episode, we’ll explore:

  • Why success isn’t a one-size-fits-all number
  • How to define what actually makes you happy
  • My personal story of building (and unbuilding) a business to find peace
  • The liberating power of choosing balance, not burnout

101: #101 Common Business Mistakes That Belong In Room 10124 Oct 202400:28:10
We’re celebrating episode 101 by embracing the spirit of Room 101 — and chucking in all the business “advice” that’s never served us. We’ll talk about:

  • Why 10k months are not the holy grail
  • How “proven formulas” do more harm than good
  • What to do instead of following the crowd
  • And why TikTok and I will never be mates

100: #100 How Neurodiversity Can Shape Your Business Journey17 Oct 202400:26:53
This is a big one. It’s episode 100 of Life in Business (🥳), and it just so happens to fall on the relaunch day of my book — Life in Business: Easy Ways to Work Less, Earn More and Embrace True Happiness. In today’s episode, I’m reflecting on the journey that brought me here: being diagnosed as autistic and ADHD in my 40s, understanding why business always felt like a puzzle, and finally being able to create — and teach — a way of working that actually fits.

I share how my neurodivergence influences everything I do (from podcasting to program design), what finally made this business feel easy, and how sticking with this podcast — something I never do! — changed everything. I also talk candidly about how I wrote a book for neurodivergent business owners without even realising it… and why I’m so proud to relaunch it today with a new cover and an updated author's note that truly reflects where I am now.

This episode is a celebration. Of you. Of me. Of doing things your way and letting that be more than enough.

Spoiler: the answer isn’t “post more on Instagram.” In this episode, I’ll walk you through why more content doesn’t always mean more clients, and how the real fix is looking at your foundations, not your marketing tactics.

I’ll share how pushing, forcing, and ‘more-ing’ your way to success is often a sign of misalignment — and why everything changes when you reconnect with your vision, your purpose, and what you actually care about. I’m talking building your business from the ground up, not the roof down — and why that shift is the key to finding flow and making sales easier (and more joyful!).

95: #95 Decluttering for Business Success: Why Less is More12 Sep 202400:28:05
In this episode, I’m sharing why I believe decluttering is one of the most powerful (and overlooked) tools for business growth. Inspired by the beautiful philosophy of Swedish Death Cleaning, we’re talking about more than clearing out your cupboards — we’re talking about creating emotional, mental, and digital space for the business and life you actually want.

From the pen pal letters I’ve kept for 35 years (yep!) to the unnecessary email subscriptions cluttering your inbox, this is an honest look at the stuff — literal and metaphorical — that weighs us down. I’ll walk you through how to simplify your space, your schedule, your network, and your expectations so you can think more clearly, create more freely, and say yes to the right things.

94: #94 Signs It's Time to Refocus Your Business Vision05 Sep 202400:27:35
We often start our business journey chasing a vision — more freedom, more money, maybe a big house or a fancy car. But what happens when that vision no longer reflects who you are or what you value?

In this episode, I’m taking you back to the foundations: your true vision for your life and business. I’m sharing stories from my own journey — from starting out with no real vision, to chasing numbers for the sake of it, to now shaping a business that’s grounded in joy, simplicity, and a whole lot of freedom. Because here’s the truth: your vision doesn’t have to be static. It should evolve as you evolve. Whether that means swapping a Mercedes for mountain walks or ditching hustle culture for long lunches, this episode will help you reconnect with what matters.

93: #93 Why Business Strategy Alone Won't Lead to Success29 Aug 202400:27:40
There’s a lot of noise out there about strategy — roadmaps, plans, blueprints. And sure, those are useful. But what no one tells you is this: strategy without soul is useless. It’s like opening a Tupperware and finding it’s empty — technically functional, but missing the thing that matters most.

In this episode, I’m exploring what makes a plan actually work — and it’s not just the steps on a page. It’s about aligning your business goals with what you really want from life: how you want to feel, who you want to work with, and what you’re prepared to give. If you’re chasing someone else’s version of success — like those ever-present “10k months” — you’ll likely end up exhausted and unfulfilled. But when you root your strategy in your dream, and combine the emotional with the practical, that’s when everything clicks into place.

This one’s a loving reality check, and a reminder that your dream doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.

💡 A strategy that isn’t rooted in who you are will never lead to a business you love.

92: #92 Pricing Strategy: How to Set the Right Price for Your Services22 Aug 202400:28:11
Pricing is one of the most frustrating parts of running a service-based business — what’s “too expensive,” what’s “too cheap,” and how do you even begin to decide? In this episode, I’m sharing a refreshingly honest (and slightly fizzy) take on pricing, inspired by… a £3.50 can of Diet Coke.

We’ll unpack what actually goes into your pricing — from your time, energy and delivery style, to your business model and capacity. I’ll explain why it’s not just about the numbers, but also about what feels fun, sustainable, and aligned. Whether you're running a high-touch, boutique service like a festival food truck, or a lower-priced, volume-based offer like a supermarket, your pricing needs to match you.

Because the perfect price isn’t a magic number — it’s one that keeps you profitable and happy.

91: #91 How to Attract Clients Without Hustling Harder15 Aug 202400:28:09
Let’s be honest: trying to get more clients by pushing harder, posting more, or constantly discounting your offers is exhausting. I’ve been there — chucking out content, creating unnecessary offers, leading with fear and hoping something sticks. But that approach never feels good... and it rarely works.

In this episode, I’m walking you through the real key to growth: knowing yourself. I’ll explain why being honest about what you want, what lights you up, and what you’re truly here to do will naturally attract more of the right people to your work. We’ll talk about ditching desperate energy, building trust through confidence, and how to create a business that reflects you — not just the latest advice you saw on Instagram.

Because when your marketing, your messaging, and your offers come from a place of clarity and alignment, business feels a whole lot easier — and a whole lot more fun.

💡 When you know yourself, trust yourself, and show up from that place — clients come to you.

90: #90 How to Build Momentum in Your Business (Without Burnout)08 Aug 202400:27:47
This week’s episode is all about releasing the pressure — because forcing your business forward doesn’t get you where you want to go, and it certainly doesn’t make the journey enjoyable.

I’m talking about why some offers feel like a slog (even if they’re “successful”), how neurodivergence has shaped the way I work, and the difference between chasing what you “should” do versus building what truly lights you up. You’ll hear why I turned down work that didn’t align, how I found the courage to ditch one-to-one coaching, and what happened when I gave myself permission to do business my way.

If you’re tired of trying so hard, or chasing someone else’s version of success, this episode will help you breathe a little deeper — and trust that your best business is the one that rolls with your rhythm.

💡 When you stop trying and start being, your business becomes lighter, more joyful, and far more effective.

89: #89 Why Running a Business Feels Hard (and How to Simplify It)01 Aug 202400:28:01
Today’s episode is a bit of a pep talk and a big exhale. Because some days just feel hard — whether it’s your energy, your mindset, or things simply not clicking the way you want them to. I’m right there with you.

I’ll talk about what to do on those low-energy days (spoiler: being kind to yourself is key), why pushing through isn’t always the answer, and how to recognise if you’re trying to “build your business upside down.” We’ll explore the real reason marketing might feel exhausting — and why it’s often a sign that your business foundations need some love.

This episode is all about creating ease through alignment: knowing your energy, your purpose, your rhythm — and letting that guide how you build and run your business. I’ll share how I structure my own time, why I ditched one-to-one coaching, and how Confidence to Grow helps my clients roll, not push.

💡 When you know what truly matters to you, everything else starts to feel lighter — and your business gets a whole lot easier.

88: #88 How to Stand Out in Your Industry (Even If You Feel Invisible)25 Jul 202400:28:41
Feeling invisible in business can be crushing — but it doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong. In this episode, I’ll help you unpack where that feeling comes from, and how to reclaim your confidence, purpose, and visibility… one person at a time.

In this heartfelt episode, I’m talking about the very real, very common feeling of invisibility — especially as women in business. Whether it’s the pressure of social media, the comparison trap, or just a general sense of “am I even being seen?”, I want to reassure you that you're not alone… and more importantly, that it’s something you can gently shift.

We’ll explore why feeling invisible is often rooted in a lack of alignment or clarity, and why showing up doesn’t have to mean shouting the loudest. Visibility isn’t about chasing followers — it’s about being known for the right reasons by the right people, and that starts with reconnecting to your purpose.

I’ll walk you through some simple mindset shifts and practical ways to show up in your business that feel good (not forced), and help you move from hidden and hesitant to visible and valued.

💡 You don’t need millions of followers to make a meaningful impact — just the quiet confidence to show up as you, one conversation at a time.

87: #87 Why Staying Small Can Help Your Business Grow Faster18 Jul 202400:27:34
There’s a myth out there that success means a seven-figure business, a flashy team, and an agency setup — but that’s not the only way to grow. In fact, I believe (and have experienced firsthand) that staying small can often be the most powerful route to success.

In this episode, I’m talking about what it really means to be a “company of one,” why I made my staff redundant and returned to working from home, and how redefining success helped me build a simpler, more profitable, and much happier business. We’ll explore how outsourcing key tasks — like to a VA, a podcast editor, or an accountant — can still support growth without giving away your autonomy or peace of mind.

If you’ve ever felt the pressure to go bigger just because that’s what the internet says, I’m here to give you full permission to say “no thanks” — and grow your business your way.

💡 Staying small doesn’t mean playing small — it means choosing sustainability, alignment, and joy over unnecessary complexity.

86: #86 How Showing Up Unfiltered Can Grow Your Business11 Jul 202400:27:56
Let’s talk about authenticity — yes, that overused word — but in a way that actually means something. Today I’m sharing what it really looks like to embrace your quirks, your imperfections, your slightly chaotic brain, and be confident in showing up just as you are.

From forgetting names mid-sentence (EdgeRank, anyone?) to ditching the pressure to edit every pause or wrinkle out of existence, this episode is a love letter to being real — because being real is what builds true connection. I’ll share stories from my own unmasking journey, my reflections post-autism and ADHD diagnosis, and why trying to “polish up” who we are is not only exhausting but entirely unnecessary.

Whether you’re filming stories, hosting a podcast, or speaking on stage, people want you. The less energy you waste on editing or pretending, the more you have to actually grow your business — on your terms.

You don’t need to be perfect to be powerful — just present.

85: #85 How to Build a Standout Brand and Be Unforgettable04 Jul 202400:27:49
Let’s cut through the noise of instant success stories and focus on what really builds a sustainable, fulfilling business. In this episode, I’m talking about what it takes to go from being relatively unknown to becoming truly unforgettable — not through flashy tricks or overnight fame, but through quiet consistency, real connection, and a whole lot of staying power.

I’ll share my own journey, from running in-person social media workshops before Instagram was even a thing, to being introduced years later as “the go-to person” in my field (and how that felt surprisingly bittersweet). We’ll talk about how trust is built over time, how learning and evolving keeps you sharp, and how it’s possible to be unforgettable without being the loudest in the room.

Whether you’re just starting out or already well into your business journey, this is your reminder that you don’t need to hustle harder — you just need to keep showing up, doing what you say you’ll do, and staying true to the kind of business you actually want to run.

84: #84 Why Your Business Network is Crucial for Success27 Jun 202400:27:48
You don’t need a million followers — you need the right people in your corner. Here’s why your business (and your mindset) depends on who you spend your time with.

In this week’s episode of Life in Business, I’m talking about something that affects every single one of us — the people we surround ourselves with. Because whether you’re building a business or just trying to stay sane while working from home, who you spend time with makes all the difference.

I’ll take you through the journey of how my business (and life) changed when I joined the right community — and how being in the wrong rooms held me back. From the early days of networking lunches and lime-green branding to launching my Confidence to Grow program, I’ve learned that growth happens when you’re lifted by people who get it. The ones who energise you, challenge you, and make you want to reach higher.

We’ll talk about the loneliness of being a solo business owner, why post-COVID life has changed how we connect, and how to choose the communities and events that actually move your business forward — not drain you dry. If you’ve ever felt like you’re outgrowing your current circles or unsure where to find people who truly support you, this is the pep talk you need.
