Dr. Paul Emerson is a Biomedical Engineer (Ph.D.) by trade and a practicing yogi in various forms since the 1960s.

He teaches in yoga teacher training programs, (Himalayan Yoga Teacher Training), specifically focusing on the areas of physiology and breath. 

He has done research in the area of dialysis as well as helped design various respiratory and implantable cardiac devices. Coincidentally he has been one of the “breath sensor guys” for a large medical devices firm which dovetails with his interest in yoga.

He is a dynamic resource for details on the functions of anatomy of the respiratory system, and breathing from a scientific point of view.

Dr. Dale Buegel has practiced and taught yoga for 40+ years. Dr. Buegel continues the work of Swami Rama’s dream to integrate the ancient teachings of yoga with modern science and culture. He is ERYT-500 certified and serves as faculty for a number of Yoga Alliance certified teaching programs.

Dr. Buegel received his medical training from the University of Minnesota, with post-graduate training from Northwestern University Medical School and The Medical College of Wisconsin. Judith Hanson Lasater, Ph.D. in East West Psychology, and physical therapist, has taught yoga and trained yoga teachers since 1971 on six continents and in almost every state of the US. She is one of the founders of “Yoga Journal magazine” and the “President Emeritus of the California Yoga Teachers Association”.

Ms. Lasater was selected by Natural Health magazine, on the occasion of their 40th anniversary in 1981, as one of the five people in the USA who has had the most influence on natural health in America during those 40 years.

She is the author of 11 books, the most recent of which is "Teaching Yoga with Intention", due October 1st 2021 from Shambhala Books.

Salvatore Zambito is a mystic, rogue scholar, and world-traveling recluse. He studied Psychology and Rolfing.

His yoga adventure began in 1954 when he was seven years old and saw a magnificent yogi perform a complex, elegant āsana on television. He never forgot it and attended his first yoga-āsana class in 1967. In 1968 Sw Vishnu-Devananda asked Salvatore to begin teaching.

He has since established yoga centers in the United States and has taught yoga and related subjects in ashrams, universities, and institutes around the world. His teaching areas span meditation, the Yoga-Sūtras of Patañjali, anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology.

Salvatore is the founder of the Yoga-Sūtras Institute and the author of three authoritative yoga references:

  • The Yoga-Sūtras Sanskrit-English Dictionary
  • Patañjali in Eternity: The Legend of Patañjali – The Rishi Sage of Yoga(CD), 
  • andThe Unadorned Thread of Yoga: The Yoga-Sūtra of Patañjali in English, which presents each of the 196 sutras, with text analysis and twelve authoritative translations.

Meditation, Breath and Mantra: How to use them together

Dr. of Psychology in private practice in St. Paul, MN. since 1985 until his recent retirement

He also serves as Adjunct Assistant School Professor of Counseling and Psychological Services at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN.

He teaches on the faculty of the Introductory Workshops of the Minnesota Society of Clinical Hypnosis. In addition to authoring journal articles and book chapters, Dr. Parker edited volume two of Swami Veda’s definitive scholarly work on the Yoga-sutras of Patanjali.

Parallel to his Psychology career he became a yogi in the Himalayan Tradition; there He was initiated by Swami Veda Bharati, taught yoga and philosophy and studied Sanskrit and S.E Asian languages for his BA at the U of MN.

His current interest is Nueroscience, and he is the Author of  “Clearing the Path, The Yoga Way to a Clear and Pleasant Mind: Patañjali, Neuroscience, and Emotion”.

Stoma, as he is known by his initiate name, travels to continents far and wide to teach the art of meditation as taught by his masters Swami Rama and Swami Veda Bharati.

And those are just a portion of his accomplishments.
