Monday Devo | Exodus 33 - Meeting with the Lord09 Feb 202600:07:34

This episode marks the beginning of something new. Jan shares a personal moment of conviction and clarity—an invitation from the Lord to return this podcast to its faith-first foundation. Instead of starting the week with strategies and to-do lists, these short Monday episodes are designed to reset your heart, your focus, and your leadership by meeting with God first.

Drawing from Exodus 33:7–11, Jan reflects on the Tent of Meeting—a place where Moses met with the Lord face to face, as one speaks to a friend. The reminder is simple but confronting: too often, we watch from a distance or seek human guidance before seeking God’s direction ourselves.

This episode is an encouragement to stop outsourcing spiritual discernment and to step into intentional, personal time with the Lord—especially as a business owner navigating decisions, clarity, and direction.

Jan closes by praying over you, your business, and the work of your hands as you commit it to God first.

Key Takeaways

  1. Why this podcast is shifting to short, faith-forward Monday devotionals
  2. The danger of watching others “meet with God” instead of going yourself
  3. What the Tent of Meeting teaches us about leadership, intimacy, and clarity
  4. Why seeking God first matters before hiring coaches or making big decisions
  5. How stillness and proximity create space to hear God clearly
  6. A prayer over your week, your business, and your obedience

Scripture Referenced

  1. Exodus 33:7–11

Closing Encouragement

Before you open your calendar…

Before you make a decision…

Before you pay someone else to help you get clarity…

Go meet with the Lord.

Sales Is Serving: Why Christian Women Entrepreneurs Need to Stop Avoiding Selling04 Feb 202600:31:50

What if sales didn’t have to feel pushy, manipulative, or uncomfortable? In this episode of Her Faith at Work, Jan sits down with business relationship strategist Lindsay Fletcher to unpack why sales is actually an act of service—and how Christian women entrepreneurs can build meaningful business relationships rooted in trust, psychology, and stewardship.

If you’ve ever struggled with networking, selling your offers, or knowing whether your marketing efforts are actually working, this conversation will shift your perspective and give you practical tools you can apply immediately—without compromising your faith or your integrity.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:
  1. Why sales is not manipulation—but service
  2. How understanding buyer psychology can completely change the way you sell
  3. The three things Lindsay wishes she knew before starting multiple businesses
  4. Why having a clear, God-led vision is essential for sustainable business growth
  5. How to identify who your real buyer is (and why talking to the wrong person kills conversions)
  6. What to do when a client says, “I need to talk to my husband / partner first”
  7. The four main buying styles and how to sell ethically to each one
  8. Why ROI is a stewardship issue, not just a numbers game
  9. How to evaluate whether your marketing is actually producing fruit—or just noise

KEY TAKEAWAYS:1. Sales Is Serving—Period.

If you have a solution to someone’s problem and you don’t tell them about it, you’re not being humble—you’re withholding help. Sales done right is generosity, not pressure.

2. Vision Is Your GPS

Without a clear, prayed-through vision, you’ll chase every shiny object and wonder why nothing sticks. Write it down. Revisit it. Ask God often, “Is this still aligned?”

3. You Might Be Talking to the Wrong Buyer

Sometimes the person who loves your offer isn’t the one making the decision. Knowing who actually signs the check changes everything about your messaging and sales conversations.

4. ROI Is About Stewardship

Your time, money, marketing, and energy are all resources God has entrusted to you. Tracking what’s working—and what’s not—isn’t unspiritual. It’s wise.

Ep. 4 Discovering Your Role in the Body of Christ31 Jan 202400:18:33

    Shoot me a text!

In this episode we will explore the intriguing question: "Which parts of the body of Christ would you be?" Delve into the significance of this question and its relevance to your spiritual journey.

    Episode Highlights:

    1. The Complex Anatomy of the Human Body: Jan begins by highlighting the intricacies of the human body, emphasizing the numerous organs, bones, joints, ligaments, and muscles. Playfully acknowledging potential discrepancies in her statistics, she sets the stage for a unique exploration.

    2. Pondering Your Role in the Body of Christ: Drawing inspiration from a recent experience at a conference, Jan shares how a simple question prompted deep reflection. She recounts a personal revelation about being a foot and the subsequent affirmations from friends who identified with different body parts.

    3. Biblical Insights on Spiritual Anatomy: Jan explores passages from First Corinthians 12 and Romans 12, highlighting Paul's teachings on the body of Christ. She emphasizes the importance of each part, drawing parallels between the functions of physical body parts and our roles in the spiritual body.

    4. Reflections on Personal Revelation: Jan vulnerably shares her emotional response to a friend identifying her as a rib, drawing profound connections to protection, creativity, and partnership in the body of Christ.

    5. The Impact of Rogue Body Parts: Jan draws an analogy between rogue physical body parts, like the appendix, and individuals within the body of Christ who go astray. She underscores the potential harm caused when members act independently, bringing dishonor to the collective body.

    Key Takeaways:

    • Embrace the uniqueness of your role in the body of Christ.
    • Consider the impact of your actions on the health of the spiritual body.
    • Reflect on biblical passages to gain insights into the significance of each part.
    • Seek the Lord's guidance in understanding and fulfilling your specific role.

Conclusion:As Jan encourages listeners to reflect on their roles in the body of Christ, she leaves them with a challenge: Are you truly living and performing everything that your part is designed to do? Engage in this introspective journey to strengthen the body of Christ and bring honor to its Creator.

Ep. 2 Pressing Into God's Presence To Change Your Life17 Jan 202400:20:57

    Shoot me a text!

Welcome back to the podcast, friends! In this second episode, I felt a strong calling to discuss a topic that might be challenging for some of you. So, get ready for a little self-reflection and maybe even a swift kick in the pants. Before we dive in, I want you to know that while I've spent most of my life in vocational ministry, I'm not a theologian. I'm just a girl running after the heart and will of God for my life and business.

Today, I want to ask you a question: When was the last time you had a deep, supernatural, life-changing experience with God? Whether it's through reading His word, prayer, meditation, or worship, the experience varies for everyone. But let's be honest, many of us struggle to access the powerful, life-changing presence of God regularly.

I'll share a story from Exodus chapter 33, where Moses set up the Tent of Meeting to commune with God. The people stood at the entrances of their tents, perhaps intimidated by the thought of entering God's presence face to face. But the truth is, we no longer need a physical tent. Through Jesus and the Holy Spirit, we have direct access to God's presence.

What's stopping you from that deep connection with God? Is it fear? Do you believe it's not for you? I'll share personal experiences, like a powerful vision during worship and a moment during a Texas storm where the presence of God was palpable.

As believers, our faith won't be surface level or passive in heaven. In Revelation 4, elders bow down, worship, and lay their crowns before God. That should be us every day, transformed and led by the Almighty.

Imagine the impact on your life, relationships, and work if you embraced the full power of Christ's work on the cross every day.

I challenge you to take action, press into God's presence, and be changed. Don't just listen; truly encounter the Almighty and let it impact every aspect of your life. It's time to kick our own butts and live in the fullness of God's power.

Building a Visibility Plan That Actually Works for Business Growth19 Nov 202500:24:30

If you’ve been showing up online but still feel like your visibility is stuck in neutral — you’re not alone. In this episode, we’re breaking down why most visibility plans fall flat… and how to build one that’s actually aligned with your mission (and energy).

In this episode, Jan Touchberry walks you through what she calls a Visibility Blueprint — a practical strategy to expand your reach through aligned collaboration instead of content overload. Think: podcast swaps, IG Lives, list takeovers, and panel events — but done with intention, not exhaustion.

    WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

    1. Identify the people who are mission-aligned (not just audience-adjacent)
    2. Reach new audiences through collaborative visibility (without feeling weird about it)
    3. Keep your eyes on purpose, not pressure — and still grow your reach in the process

Whether you’ve been stuck in your own content bubble or just need a refresh on how to show up without burning out, this episode will meet you right where you are — and help you take a bold, strategic step forward.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    1. Most visibility plans stop short because they’re too inward-facing.
    2. Kingdom visibility isn’t about being everywhere — it’s about being obedient where you are.
    3. You don’t need a bigger platform. You need aligned partnerships.
    4. Collaboration can be strategic, life-giving, and mutually beneficial — when you root it in generosity and mission, not metrics.
    5. Visibility done God’s way builds trust, multiplies impact, and keeps your soul intact.

The Mindset Shift Every Christian Entrepreneur Needs for Visibility12 Nov 202500:11:34

Let’s have a heart-to-heart about something that might be quietly blocking your visibility — and it’s not your content strategy. In this episode, Jan shares a powerful mindset shift for Christian women entrepreneurs who are struggling to show up online. If you’ve ever second-guessed a post, delayed your launch, or shrunk back out of fear of being “too much,” this one’s for you.

We explore the spiritual side of visibility, the sneaky fear that hides behind phrases like “I don’t want it to be about me,” and how imposter syndrome can disguise itself as humility. Jan reminds us that visibility in business isn’t about being flashy — it’s about being faithful.

You’ll walk away with real-talk encouragement, biblical truth, and a few bold affirmations to speak over your calling.

    What You’ll Learn:
    1. Why visibility blocks are rarely just a “strategy” issue
    2. The subtle difference between humility and hiding
    3. How imposter syndrome can keep faith-based entrepreneurs stuck
    4. What it means to anchor your business in truth when fear creeps in
    5. 4 affirmations to combat visibility fears
    6. A mindset shift that makes your message magnetic to your ideal clients

    Memorable Quotes:
    1. “There’s a difference between humility and hiding. One honors God. The other masks fear.”
    2. “The enemy doesn’t have to destroy your calling — he just has to convince you not to show up for it.”
    3. “God chose you — your voice, your story, your quirks — on purpose.”

    Reflect + Apply:

    This week, ask yourself:

    1. What does obedience look like for me today?
    2. Is fear driving my hesitation to show up?
    3. Whose voice am I listening to — God’s or something else?

And then? Take one faithful step. Even if your voice shakes.

90: The Faith Practice Christian Entrepreneurs Need for Faith And Business Growth29 Oct 202500:35:11

Is it possible to journal with God instead of just to Him?

In today’s episode, I’m joined by Tracy Dempsey — writer, encourager, and certified Pilates instructor — whose unique gift is helping women hear God’s voice with clarity and confidence through journaling. Yes, journaling! But not in the “dear diary” way you might be picturing.

Tracy teaches a Spirit-led journaling practice that moves women from self-sufficiency and confusion to discernment, peace, and alignment with God’s design. And trust me — what she shares will shift the way you think about your quiet time, your business, and even how you process your dreams (literal ones, yes!).

If you’ve ever felt like you’re doing all the right spiritual things — praying, reading, journaling — but still wondering if you’re actually hearing from the Lord… this episode is for you.

    We talk about:

    • The difference between journaling to God and journaling with God
    • How to recognize God’s voice through patterns and prompts in your own life
    • Tracy’s practical journaling system that’s simple, powerful, and doable
    • What it looks like to document and discern both spiritual and business direction
    • Why your obedience isn’t just for you — it’s meant to bless others too

Tracy’s gentle, Spirit-led wisdom will inspire you to pick up your pen with a whole new level of expectation. So whether you’re a seasoned journaler or your notebook collection is full of “someday I’ll start” journals (hi, it’s me 🙋🏼‍♀️), this episode will speak to you.

Listen in and be ready — God may be nudging you to listen differently today.

If you’re the strong one, the go-to, the strategist, the fixer — this episode is for you. Because even the strongest leaders need a place to lean. • The turning point that led Jan to her own Third Space
    • How Jesus modeled the power of pausing
    • Practical ways to reset and receive without guilt
    • A soft invitation into deeper rest through the upcoming Third Space Retreat

88: Habit Stacking: Business Growth That is Sustainable For The Long-haul15 Oct 202500:14:41

This isn’t your typical “goal setting” pep talk — and it’s definitely not a January 1 reset. In this powerful part two episode, Jan reframes what it means to finish strong… not from striving, but from overflow. You’ll learn how habit stacking can build the spiritual, physical, and mental foundation you need to step into 2026 already aligned with who God is calling you to be.

If you’re tired of quitting on resolutions and ready to become the woman who finishes in step with Jesus — this one’s for you.

👉 Haven’t listened to Part One yet? Go back to Episode 87 and start there.

    What You’ll Learn:
    • Why your real starting line isn’t January 1 — it’s today.
    • The difference between outcome-based and identity-based habits (and why one actually sticks).
    • How to stack new habits onto existing ones to create spiritual and strategic momentum.
    • Why protecting your peace is just as important as building your routine.
    • The critical link between habits, rhythms, and rest — and how they work together to shape your identity.

    Key Takeaways:
    • “The way you end this year is training your future self.”
    • Habit stacking = anchoring a new identity-based habit to an existing one.
    • Motivation fades. Integration fuels transformation.
    • Rhythms protect your becoming. Rest sustains it.
    • You are the kind of woman who finishes aligned, not exhausted.

Memorable Quotes:“The way you end 2025 is the starting line you carry into 2026.”“Habits shape who you’re becoming. Rhythms protect what you’re becoming. Rest sustains how you’re becoming.”“God never designed your soul to carry the weight of the whole world. Ask Him what’s actually yours to carry — and let the rest go.”Resources Mentioned:

87: Who Do I Need to Become for Business Growth in 2026?08 Oct 202500:15:05

Before you set a single 2026 goal, I need you to stop.

This isn’t your typical “get ready for the new year, new you” pep talk. This is your preparation conversation.

You can’t carry what God has for you next year with the mindset, habits, and identity that kept you stuck this year.

In this episode, we’re flipping the script. We’re not starting with a color-coded Erin Condren planner — we’re starting with the posture of a woman who’s ready to become.

    What we’re talking about:
    • Why God had me focus on my body before my next big business move (spoiler: obedience isn’t always sexy)
    • The real reason your 2025 goals didn’t stick — and how to avoid that trap in 2026
    • Why the Be → Do → Have model isn’t just spiritual — it’s strategic
    • What happens when you build goals on your current identity instead of your called identity
    • The hard truth: your next level will crush you if you’re not prepared to carry it

Scripture Highlights:“Seek first the Kingdom…” (Matthew 6:33)“You are a new creation.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:2)“He will finish what He started in you.” (Philippians 1:6)
Mic-drop moments:“Vision without identity will crush you.”“You’re not behind — you’re being built.”
    Ask yourself:
    • Am I planning goals my character can’t carry?
    • What am I ignoring that God keeps bringing front and center?
    • What version of me needs to go before 2026 gets here?

    Challenge of the Week:

Put the planner down. Pick up your journal. Ask the Lord:

    • “Who do You say I’m becoming?”
    • “What needs to shift so I can carry it well?”
    • “Where have I settled for performance instead of presence?”

    Your becoming is the strategy.

Next week, we’re getting real practical — I’ll walk you through how to actually build habits that support who you’re becoming. Don’t miss it.

Until then, friend — don’t just do more. Become her.

86: Rethinking Sales: Confidence, Calling, and Conversations for Business Growth with Stefani Pady01 Oct 202500:44:41

Most women cringe when they hear the word sales. It feels slimy, pushy, and completely out of alignment with who we are. But what if sales wasn’t about pressure at all—what if it was simply about conversations, connection, and service?

In this episode of Her Faith at Work, I sit down with Stefani Pady, founder of Women, Worship and Work and GLS Coaching and Consulting. After two decades in corporate America and a life-changing season of reading the Bible cover-to-cover, Stefani walked away from the burnout cycle to help women anchor their worth in God’s truth and lead with confidence.

We unpack how to rethink sales (without the smarm), why Jesus was the ultimate “salesman,” and practical ways to ask better questions, influence with integrity, and find the right clients without losing yourself in the hustle. Whether you love sales, hate sales, or avoid it at all costs—this conversation will shift how you show up in business and ministry.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode
    • The moment Stefani realized her worth didn’t come from quotas, bosses, or performance
    • How reading the Bible cover-to-cover reshaped her life and work
    • The key perspective shift that makes sales less about “closing” and more about helping
    • Why open-ended questions are the secret to better conversations (and better business)
    • How Jesus modeled influence, storytelling, and bold invitations
    • Practical sales tips for introverts and entrepreneurs who’d rather “do the work” than pitch

    Notable Quotes
    • “When we get our eyes on Scripture, everybody around us starts changing—even if our circumstances don’t.” – Stefani Pady
    • “Sales isn’t about overcoming objections; it’s about tuning into the right frequency with people.” – Stefani Pady
    • “Leadership is influence—nothing more, nothing less. And to some degree, life is influence.” – Stefani Pady
    • “When we walk in our calling because we’ve been with Jesus, even sales stops feeling salesy.” – Stefani Pady

Answer Engine Optimization (AEO): How AI Is Changing Business Visibility28 Jan 202600:20:20

If you’ve felt uneasy about how visibility works lately, you’re not imagining it.

People aren’t browsing the internet the way they used to. They’re asking full questions — and increasingly, they’re being given one clear answer instead of a list of options. Tools like Google’s AI results, voice assistants, and ChatGPT are quietly reshaping how businesses are discovered.

In this episode, we’re unpacking Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and what it means for small business owners who want visibility without being dependent on social media.

This conversation isn’t about trends or tech jargon. It’s about clarity — how clearly you explain what you do, who you help, and how you help — and why that clarity is now one of the most important visibility assets your business has.

You’ll learn how AI tools actually decide which explanations to surface, why your podcast and website matter more than social platforms for long-term discovery, and how to start adjusting your content so it’s understandable to both people and answer engines.

    In this episode, we cover:
    1. Why search is shifting from browsing results to receiving answers
    2. The difference between traditional Google search and AI-generated answers
    3. Why Siri and other voice assistants are increasingly routing questions to ChatGPT
    4. What Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) actually is — without the hype
    5. How AI uses podcast content (and why audio alone isn’t enough)
    6. Why clarity in episode titles and content matters more than cleverness
    7. How Christian entrepreneurs can think about visibility as stewardship, not self-promotion
    8. A simple, actionable strategy to improve discoverability without posting on social media

    Key takeaway:

Visibility today isn’t about being everywhere.

It’s about being clear enough to be understood when someone is searching for help.

Businesses that explain things well are the ones being surfaced.

84: How One Small Survey Can Help You Finish the Year with Purpose and Alignment17 Sep 202500:23:42
Why Finishing 2025 Strong Means Asking the Right Questions

You don’t need a 12-week sprint or another overcomplicated strategy to finish the year with purpose. What you need is clarity—both from God and from the people you’re here to serve.

In this episode of Her Faith at Work, we’re talking about one of the simplest yet most powerful tools you can use in Q4: a short, intentional survey. This isn’t about marketing gimmicks or fancy tech. It’s about asking the right questions, listening well, and aligning your next steps with both heaven and your audience.

If you’ve ever wondered how to serve your people better while setting yourself up for 2026, this conversation is for you.

What You’ll Learn in This Episode
    • Why asking God comes before asking your audience
    • How to keep surveys simple (3 minutes or less!)
    • The exact questions you can ask to get clarity on your people’s needs
    • How to interpret responses without chasing every new idea
    • Practical ways to take action on feedback now — not someday
    • Why partnering with a coach or biz bestie multiplies results

    Timestamps
    • 00:00 – A “False Fall” story and why seasons matter in business
    • 04:30 – Why asking God is your first step in planning
    • 09:00 – How to keep surveys ridiculously simple
    • 15:00 – What to do with your audience’s answers
    • 19:30 – Taking action on one thing to finish aligned

A Small Survey Can Shift Everything

Your audience’s needs may have shifted since the last time you checked in. By asking just a handful of intentional questions, you’ll discover patterns that reveal where they need your help most right now. That insight allows you to:

    • Refocus your content strategy
    • Confirm (or pivot) your next offer
    • Build momentum into 2026 with peace and clarity

This isn’t about doing everything people ask for—it’s about aligning their needs with God’s leading for your business.

    Key Takeaways
    • Finishing strong isn’t about hustle—it’s about alignment.
    • Ask God first, then ask your people.
    • Keep surveys short, heartfelt, and easy to answer.
    • Look for patterns, then bring them back to prayer.
    • Act on one thing with simplicity and faithfulness.

81: Worthy & Called: Tearing Down the Lies That Block Your Business Growth27 Aug 202500:21:13

In this week’s episode of Her Faith at Work, we're getting real about the unseen battle behind your business growth — the one happening between your ears. If you've ever felt like you're not enough, like you're not doing enough, or like you're too much, this conversation is for you.

We’re talking about the lies the enemy tries to whisper to women in business — lies about your worth, your identity, and your calling as an entrepreneur. And more importantly, we’re talking about how to renew your mind, align with truth, and grow your faith-based business from a place of spiritual authority.

    Inside this episode:

    • How childhood wounds and perfectionism can block your business strategy

    • What the Lord taught me (through tears and truth) about identity and fruit-bearing

    • Why your marketing strategies won’t work if your mindset is broken

    • A powerful story about calling, imposter syndrome, and declaring who God says you are

    • Scripture-based truth for overcoming lies and reclaiming your entrepreneurship assignment

If you’ve been second-guessing your gifts or stuck in fear around showing up and leading your online business, it’s time to silence the accuser and anchor in truth.

    📖 Scriptures mentioned:

    • Romans 12:2 – Be transformed by the renewing of your mind

    • Philippians 4:8 – Think on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable

    ✨ You're Not Just Building a Business — You're Bearing Fruit

The small business you're building isn’t just about income — it’s about impact. And the enemy knows that. That’s why he goes for your identity.

But you don’t have to listen to the lies anymore. Let this episode be your permission slip to believe what God says about you — and to lead with confidence.

How Your About Page Can Drive Real Business Growth21 Jan 202600:19:22
How Your About Page Can Drive Real Business Growth

Your About page is one of the most powerful — and most underutilized — pieces of your website. In this episode, Jan Touchberry breaks down what a high-converting About page actually needs to do, why most of them miss the mark, and how to rewrite yours so it connects, builds trust, and leads your ideal client to take action.

If your website isn’t bringing in inquiries, your About page might be part of the problem. This episode gives you a clear framework to fix it.

    WHAT YOU'LL LEARN:

    1. The Purpose Shift: From Bio → Bridge

    1. Why the traditional “all about me” bio is outdated and ineffective
    2. How to reposition your About page as a bridge between your story and your client’s struggle
    3. Why connection — not credentials — is what builds trust
    4. How Jesus modeled presence and empathy (and what that means for your website)

    2. The Anatomy of an About Page That Converts

A simple, high-performing structure you can use today:

    1. Lead with your reader, not yourself
    2. Open with empathy, not “Hi, I’m [Your Name].”
    3. Share your story — with restraint
    4. Only include details that create trust and relevance.
    5. Highlight your values (and faith, if it’s core to your brand)
    6. Let your convictions show up naturally, not preachy.
    7. Establish credibility with specificity
    8. Replace vague claims with concrete examples and results.
    9. End with a clear CTA (always)
    10. Make the next step obvious: book a call, view services, or download a resource.

What to Cut from Your About Page (Immediately)
    1. Third-person writing (unless you’re a corporate brand)
    2. Random fun facts that don’t serve the client
    3. Generic phrases like “empowering women”
    4. Credential dumping
    5. No clear call-to-action
    6. Too much backstory — focus on the turning point instead

Quick test: If you get bored reading it out loud, your reader will too.

Your 30–60 Minute About Page Audit (Action Steps)

    Ask yourself:

    Shoot me a text!

Let’s talk about that thing we don’t always want to admit... the times we know God told us to do something—and we hesitated.

In this episode, I’m joined by my friend Tierney Shirrell—founder of the Live Bold Movement—for a raw and relatable convo about what it really means to walk in obedience, especially when it feels inconvenient, uncomfortable, or downright scary.

In This Episode, We Talk About:

64: Holy Week, Lament and Why Jesus Can Handle Your Mess16 Apr 202500:37:07

    Shoot me a text!

I'm doing something a little different this week. After a short pause following the passing of my father, I'm sharing a conversation I had with my dear friend Lisa Scheffler from our other podcast, Untwisting Scripture. We recorded this special episode for Holy Week, and with Lisa's blessing, I’m bringing it here to Her Faith at Work.

This episode is a real and raw look at the drama, grief, and beauty of Holy Week. We walk through Jesus' final days—not just the big Easter Sunday celebration, but the heavy stuff leading up to it: betrayal, lament, abandonment... and why it matters for your Monday morning.

We talk about how Holy Week reveals the deeply human and deeply divine nature of Christ—and how that gives us permission to grieve, protest, and cry out to God when life hits hard. I also share a very personal story about my father's final moments and the holy experience I had in the middle of my own lament.

If you’ve been holding it all together for too long, let this episode be the nudge to fall apart a little—and meet Jesus there.

    Key Topics:

    • Why Holy Week is more than just Palm Sunday and Easter brunch
    • The power of lament and why it's missing from modern faith culture
    • How Jesus' cry from the cross shows us God welcomes our deepest pain
    • The difference between grief and lament—and why we need both
    • What Peter’s fear and failure can teach us about our own walk with Jesus
    • A personal story of holy presence in the middle of suffering

    Timestamps

    • 00:00 – Why this episode matters (and where I’ve been lately)
    • 01:56 – Holy Week isn't just Easter... here's what you're missing
    • 04:52 – Palm Sunday: celebration before the storm
    • 06:12 – Why the Pharisees really feared Jesus
    • 09:29 – Judas, Peter, and the heartbreak of betrayal
    • 13:36 – Jesus weeps, prays, and gets abandoned
    • 15:34 – "Why have you forsaken me?" and the theology of lament
    • 23:45 – My story: lament, worship, and my father's passing
    • 29:11 – How our culture gets grief wrong
    • 32:29 – A challenge for Good Friday: don't skip the hard stuff
    • 35:05 – Why you should step outside your church bubble this week

    Quotables:

“If Jesus lamented, we can too. We should.”

“Easter is like reading the last five pages of a book—don’t skip the whole story
