Mama, get ready because you're about to be  extremely inspired by my guest Emily, The Brow Fox!  She shares that when the pandemic hit and having her second child,  she found herself exhausted and in overwhelm while running her multiple beauty businesses.  Emily is so transparent in her struggles and explains how hitting this point forced her to restructure her business as a service provider to fit her and her families needs. 

Often times clients can feel so connected {as a friend}, yet disconnected {as a mom with kids} from us by taking advantage of showing up late to appointments, canceling last minute or just not showing up. My guest was done with these scenarios! 
Emily shares that restructuring her business around HER needs and setting clear boundaries allowed her to keep her job as a service provider. A recurring schedule gives her the structure and the flexibility that she WANTS and NEEDS!

Emily is not only a service provider but a landlord and a product creator.  Like most moms she wears many hats, however in this episode she tells us what that truly looks like,  how she's evolving by creating structure in ALL her businesses that work around being a mom and how she is trying to incorporate self care as a top priority.  Which is honestly something we as women and moms should really try to do!

In this episode with multi beauty business owner Kelly Callaghan she shares how transitioning from Entrepreneur to Momprenuer has actually made her a better business woman.   

As we all know becoming a mom changes us, and as a business owner navigating life & business with a new baby is quite challenging.  Life as we once new it is now very different!  Kelly is an industry trailblazer who notoriously started an international spray tan business and grew it from $0 to over a half a million dollar a year business.  Now she's learning to juggle all the things with a one year old.   During our interview Kelly shares that becoming a mom has actually made her a better entrepreneur!  She states that "It forced her to become more organized, to stop half-assng things and to really prioritize her time."   

Kelly also shares her struggles as a new mom working at home and why it wasn't healthy for her, how she was affected by postpartum depression and how setting boundaries and putting non-negotiable in place changed everything!

Being a business owner isn't always easy,
Being a new mom isn't always easy,
often times from the outside it looks easy to others,
but we do it by figuring it out and putting our priorities in place!

In this episode I openly share why I had to press pause on the podcast, the struggles I faced and how I am ready to move forward.

 Since publishing my last episode, almost 4 months ago,  I have been taking time to heal, reflect and now honor my mom.  We are all given a mother, some of us have amazing relationships with our moms,  others do not.  Mothering is not always easy.  It's actually the hardest job there is and we are never able to truly comprehend this until we become a mother.  Losing a mother is one of life's hardest roads to travel and now I am here on it, learning to navigate it without my biggest cheerleader.  We can all do hard things.  

Oftentimes when we enter the beauty industry we think we know exactly what we want to do.  Other times that "thing"  that we thought we wanted to do is not as fulfilling as we envisioned.  But as fate would have it,  in the middle of your adventure you try something new and that leads you to your passion.  This is exactly what happened to my guest Kirsten Goetzelman aka Tampa Waxer.

In this episode she shares her story of starting out on her esthetics journey and how being asked to try waxing changed her path in the beauty industry.  Not only did her path change directions, she has evolved as woman, as a mom and as a waxer and couldn't be happier.

Kirsten shares how discovering her passion  in waxing has allowed to her grow even more, allowing her to share this passion with other women and how she integrates all of it into her motherhood journey.

If you told yourself,  at the beginning of 2020 ....
“This is going to be one of MY best years!”,  well I’m right there with you!  

Just like you I spent hours upon hours  making lists, checking  goals, stretching and making  plans of all the things that I wanted to accomplish for myself, for my business, for my family and for this podcast (which was merely a goal) And for the first couple months, YES, everything was going great.  I was right on track, even exceeding forecasted goals.

 As moms, we find ourselves wearing many hats, constantly being pulled, led or guided in many different directions.  This pandemic has exacerbated this as many families are finding themselves home to complete both school with their children and work for themselves. 

 My guest Amy Staubitz, of XTan Sunless, has always been a working mom, and now finds herself  working from home ( as both an employee & as a business owner) along with homeschooling her children.  Today she is sharing how she considers being flexible is a must as a mom in the beauty industry and in life!

 Amy is  a nurse, business owner, product developer, Air Force veteran as well as a mom to 3 busy boys and she considers time her biggest challenge.  Through the years she has created ways to spend special time with her children as well as creating, much needed, self care time.  During our chat she shares the ways she gives her children and herself the uninterrupted time that is desired and deserved.

She also shares how and why she created XTan, a sunless tanning remover, and why she is so passionate about this product.  Amy is an amazing and inspirational woman.  She sets out everyday to instill positivity in everyone that she works with.
