10 Things I Want to Tell You24 Sep 202400:20:23

In this special solo episode, I share some personal reflections and life updates that have been on my mind lately. From navigating a new season of motherhood, to letting go of my beloved retail store and making big changes like rebranding my stationery business, I’m diving into how life, business, and mindset all intertwine. I also talk about the power of leaning into your excitement, embracing "good enough," and how your feelings impact productivity. Plus, I share a few thoughts on how AI is making my life easier and how you can design your next few months for success.

This episode is a bit different from the usual on this show, but I hope it leaves you feeling inspired and empowered to make intentional changes in your life and business.

Storytelling, Marketing, and Parenting with Jen Fuller 17 Sep 202400:43:38

I can’t tell you how excited I am to introduce you to today’s amazing guest, Jen Fuller, because this was one of my favorite conversations ever.

Jen is the founder of Etta Loves, a brand that collaborates with visual experts to design baby sensory essentials that align with babies’ cognitive and visual development. Etta Loves was created after Jen noticed how transfixed her new born was by Jen’s black and white sweater. Her baby, of course, is Etta. From there, Jen’s observation evolved into a full blown business where designers and baby vision experts collaborate to create essentials for little ones and their caregivers that align with babies sensory development.

Jen’s edge as she started her small business? She has a background in marketing! This helped inform how she chose to grow her business, and we really dig into that in this episode. No matter where you fall on the spectrum of product to service-based business, there is so much to take away from our conversation.

How to REALLY Connect with Your Audience07 Aug 202400:23:55

What does it take to TRULY connect with your ideal customers?

To show them who we are, to demonstrate what we have to offer them, and to get them excited about becoming a customer with us?

Anyone who has tried marketing their business knows that this isn’t an easy thing to do at all.

But, it’s not something that gets a lot of airtime in marketing conversations.

It’s a lot sexier to talk about growing your audience or making sales, but this space between someone discovering your business and the point where they decide to make a purchase?

What you do in this time really matters. And that’s what we’re talking about today.

165: Creating a Step-by-Step Small Biz Wholesale Plan (1:1 Session with Corinne Monaco)07 Mar 202300:54:04

I’m so excited to share a “first ever” for Making Good!

I sat down with a small business owner who’s just starting out, Corinne Monaco, the artist and owner behind Just Peachy Illustration. She also helps produce and edit this very podcast.

In our coaching style conversation, we talked about where she is in her business and why she’s focusing on wholesale, and together we came up with a step-by-step plan of action for her next few months. We’re going to check in with Corinne in 90 days to see how our plans panned out, so be sure to keep an eye out for some Just Peachy updates here on the podcast!

This episode will be a great listen for people just starting out in wholesale, like Corinne, but there are also some great nuggets for seasoned business owners experienced in selling wholesale. And if you’re not involved with wholesale at all? Give this episode a listen for just a fun conversation!

Mindset, Curiosity + Coaching Yourself with Antonia Bowring30 Jul 202400:53:07

Today’s episode is a very exciting one because in it, my guest, Antonia Bowring and I, chat about a topic that I have not yet covered on this podcast. And that is coaching!

We all have moments in our lives where we could really use some guidance, or at least an exterior influence to keep us moving toward our goals. I think as small business owners, this is sometimes especially true. Working with a coach, developing relationships with mentors, honing skills to coach yourself- these are all great options that Antonia Bowring endorses and was kind enough to talk me through.

Antonia Bowring is a highly credentialed executive coach, consultant, and strategic facilitator with comprehensive experience in early-stage, nonprofit, and corporate settings. For Antonia, the essence of coaching is partnering with clients to help them flourish and thrive. Her approach emphasizes goal-setting, pragmatism, action-oriented business solutions, and accountability.

I learned so much from this conversation, which was full of great recs and ideas. I can’t wait for you to give this one a listen.

How to Find Your Purpose with Jessica Huie16 Jul 202400:38:58

There are times when the “shoulds” we are either taught or have convinced ourselves of pile so high it can be overwhelming. It is in this state of overwhelm that we lose track of ourselves, our passions, and our “why.” The balm, according to my guest today, is to re-root in our identities and uncover our purpose based on a true understanding of who we are. It’s in creating from a sense of self that we find contentment and success.

Jessica Huie is a visibility mentor who helps people bring their purpose-driven projects to life and share their unique gifts with the world through a process she calls Transformational Visibility. She has twenty years of experience working in the media as a publicist, speaker, entrepreneur, and author. Big Dreams Daily Joys by Elise Blaha Cripe [Making Good Book Club #32]16 Jul 202400:49:33

This book was an absolute joy to read. As always, Charelle and I resonated with different parts and pieces, and maybe more so than past books the sections we pulled out clearly illustrated the ways our brains work so differently, which is always fun to see.

I have been following the author, Elise Blaha Cripe, for a long time, and when she came out with her book I immediately jumped on getting a copy. I really admire Elise for her creativity and dedication to making space for joy, whether it’s a craft project or a baking experiment or a business venture. She’s currently on a break from social media, but you can still find plenty of inspiration by scrolling her Instagram page, @elisejoy.

Big Dreams Daily Joys is an intuitive, approachable and honestly visually fun book for anyone who could use some fresh ideas for making progress, setting goals, and making time for the things that matter most. There were so many jewels in this book we couldn’t cover them all, So if you enjoy this discussion and you learn something, you will definitely want to pick up a copy for yourself. Plus it's really, really beautiful.
