What it means, how/why they happen, the persona’s created and the prices paid because of them.
When you abandon your own values and live out of integrity, whether consciously or unconsciously it is a slippery slope that causes you to lose your footing in so many areas of your life.
By acknowledging where your falsehoods may be present and what it’s cost you; you’ll gain the awareness needed to confront them head on and begin to make necessary changes.
You must face the WHOLE truth of who you are, falsehoods and all, in order to glean their purpose.

Finding the balance within yourself of your own darkness and light is what’s necessary to bring everything else in life into balance… embracing the full truth of who you are and finding forgiveness for yourself first and foremost is where it starts.

There are so many interpretations of this excerpt and we discovered a completely different meaning than what is readily available.

After much research, we couldn’t find anything that caught the message we saw his words.

Songs you’ve listened to for years suddenly have more meaning, things you’ve read have more depth.

That was the case with one of Sandy’s all time favorites books that she discovered when she was 20. Having read it over the years, new meanings would take shape.

After the fire of truth, we opened “The Prophet” by Khalil Gibran and found even more beauty in its pages.

In this episode we get really honest about the ways we numb and what the numbing prevented.

There are so many distractions in the fast paced world we live in and it can be so easy to tune out the things we don’t want to face.

Whether it is with food, alcohol, weed, television, shopping, social media, you name it!

Choosing to numb is an unconscious protective response to avoid feeling difficult emotions, whether due to anxiety, stress or trauma.

Be gentle with yourself, acknowledge where it is you may be numbing and allow it to be a place to start.

Begin the detox from it slowly, be honest with yourself about what arises and invite more presence back into your life.
