Gonzaga basketball coach Mark Few and Team USA secured a gold medal over France on Saturday, thanks to late game heroics from Steph Curry. Few adds a gold medal to his already impressive resume, which includes being the NCAA all-time leader in winning percentage, 24 straight NCAA Tournament appearances, over 700 career wins, nine straight Sweet 16's, basically everything except a national championship - the only thing left to accomplish.

Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs fell to No. 1 seed Purdue in the Sweet 16, ending their remarkable season and the career of Spokane legend Anton Watson. Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs will have their hands full against Matt Painter, Zach Edey, and the Purdue Boilermakers on Friday in Detroit as both programs look to advance to the Elite 8 of the 2024 NCAA Tournament. But if Graham Ike can avoid foul trouble, Ryan Nembhard can run that short pick and roll which was lethal against Kentucky and Kansas, and the Zags can shoot better than 6-32 from three, this team could take down a top seed and advance to the Elite Eight for the second year in a row.

Joshua Jefferson is one of 32(!) WCC players already in the NCAA transfer portal, and his departure from Randy Bennett and the Gaels of Saint Mary's is an incredibly tough loss. He joins Jevon Porter, Juanse Gorosito, Mo Odum, and many others as crucial departures from the conference.

Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs are much improved from when they last played the Purdue Boilermakers in the Maui Invitational in November, but Matt Painter's team is improved as well - and it all starts with the big man in the middle in Zach Edey. Edey has improved on his National Player of the Year campaign from 2022-23, although a big part of that has been the growth of guards Braden Smith and Fletcher Loyer who each improved their three point shooting percentage dramatically this season.

We also preview a potential Elite Eight matchup with either Creighton or Tennessee, who will square off after Gonzaga and Purdue wraps on Friday. Will Creighton find a way to slow down All-American Dalton Knecht? How will Ryan Kalkbrenner impact the game on the block?

Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs already added a player via the NCAA transfer portal to next year's roster in former Pepperdine guard Michael Ajayi.
