| DOLPHINS SQUAD SHOW: BENCH MALIK WILLIS?! Dolphins Fans Have SEEN ENOUGH… Hafley Says NO! | 14 Oct 2026 | 01:02:04 | |
0-5. Into the bye. And Dolphins Nation has SEEN ENOUGH!!!
Miami falls to the Cincinnati Bengals 31-24 at Hard Rock Stadium, and the fan base is calling for Malik Willis to hit the bench. Jeff Hafley's answer? A flat NO. "We've played five games and Malik is our quarterback." We're getting into ALL of it.
Willis went 15 of 27 for 137 yards with a TD and TWO interceptions, both to Bengals safety Jordan Battle, on back-to-back drives. That's the same Jordan Battle who said Willis taps the ball before he throws! Willis also lost a fumble for the third straight game. Is this on Malik? Is it on the roster around him? Or is Hafley right that "we all need to be better"?
Imagine running for 200 yards on a good football team and STILL losing because of turnovers, penalties, and special teams. Ollie Gordon keeps running HARD since De'Von Achane went down, but runs got called back, pre-snap flags killed drives, Miami gave up an 81-yard return on the opening kickoff, and a missed extra point hurt the late comeback attempt.
In this show:
🐬 Dolphins-Bengals fallout: 0-5 and into the bye 🐬 Fans vs. Hafley: the Malik Willis bench debate 🐬 Hafley's Monday presser: "everything" under review during the bye 🐬 Ollie Gordon and the run game vs. the penalty problem 🐬 What's next: the Jets on the road on Oct. 25 Drop your take below. | There's A Divide GROWING Within The Miami Dolphins' Wide Receiver Room... | 13 Oct 2026 | 00:29:12
Miami Dolphins’ wide receiver room is facing a pivotal split: Malik Washington is commanding more snaps and excelling in rhythm routes, while Kevin Coleman thrives as a scramble drill target. Is this emerging dynamic the answer to Miami’s inconsistent passing attack, or is something missing with Caleb Douglas sidelined? Crabbs breaks down snap counts, passing chemistry with Malik Willis, and red zone woes that have the Dolphins ranked 28th in touchdown conversion. Key topics include Austin Jackson’s fluctuating performance at right tackle, the sudden opportunity for rookie Jarrett Kingston, and a possible trade scenario with the Jacksonville Jaguars ahead of the NFL trade deadline. Miami Dolphins fall to Cincinnati Bengals as Malik Willis faces tough questions after a turnover-filled performance. Can the Dolphins' ground game and improving defense balance out ongoing struggles at quarterback and special teams to keep playoff hopes alive? Kyle Crabbs spotlights standout showings from Ollie Gordon, Chris Johnson, and a resilient Miami secondary, while breaking down how field position woes and costly giveaways—three turnovers by Willis—set up Joe Burrow's efficient passing attack. Key topics include Miami’s 217 rushing yards, the defense’s second-half adjustments, and concerning trends in the passing game, including Chris Bell’s slump. With the bye week ahead and mounting pressure, the spotlight sharpens on coaching decisions, red zone efficiency, and whether the Dolphins will look to draft a quarterback in 2027. | DOLPHINS SQUAD SHOW: Miami Dolphins’ Late Rally Falls Short in 31–24 Home Loss to Cincinnati Bengals | 11 Oct 2026 | 01:02:08
The Miami Dolphins are 0–5, and after a 31–24 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the biggest question facing this team is impossible to avoid: Can Malik Willis run an NFL offense well enough to give Miami a chance to win? GRIES, Kyle Crabbs, and Jeff “Z” Zgonina break down a frustrating performance from Willis and the decisions that shaped the game. Miami had opportunities to stay on schedule and keep drives alive, but too often the ball went toward a harder throw instead of the available read. Willis threw two interceptions, and one of those turnovers gave Cincinnati a short field that turned into a touchdown before halftime. The show digs into the difference between making a play and taking the play the defense gives you: the hot reads, the open options, the throws into tight windows, and the accuracy Miami needs from its quarterback. Willis made plays with his legs, and the Dolphins kept fighting, but the late rally couldn’t make up for the mistakes that put them behind. We also get into how Miami tried to manufacture offense, including the end-around to Chris Bell, what the defense did to give the Dolphins a chance, and what the coaching staff has to evaluate during the bye. If Willis is going to lead this team, the offense needs a plan that lets him play on time, take the easy completion, and protect the football. If the staff isn’t convinced he can do that, it has a major decision to make. Miami falls to 0–5. Cincinnati leaves with the 31–24 win. The Dolphins have a bye week to take a hard look at the quarterback, the offense, and what comes next. What did you see from Malik Willis? What should Miami do at quarterback after this loss? | DOLPHINS SQUAD SHOW: Can the Dolphins Turn Progress Into a W? Hafley, Willis, Gordon, & the Bengals | 07 Oct 2026 | 01:02:02
The Miami Dolphins are 0–4, and head coach Jeff Hafley has delivered a clear message: this is going to be a difficult journey, and everyone has to decide whether they’re in. On this Wednesday edition of the Dolphins Squad Show, GRIES, Kyle Crabbs, Jeff Zgonina, and Wes Goldberg react to Hafley’s words, what the team can build on, and what has to change before Cincinnati visits Hard Rock Stadium. The panel breaks down the Dolphins’ 15–10 loss to Minnesota, including a defense that held the Vikings to five field goals, Miami’s first four-sack game of the season, Jacob Rodriguez’s rookie-record 18 tackles, and Ollie Gordon’s 100-yard rushing performance. Then we get into the mistakes that continue to cost Miami: the penalties, the passing-game struggles, protection concerns, and Chris Bell’s apparent 68-yard touchdown being erased after his foot touched the sideline. What does the tape say about Malik Willis, the offensive line, and the run game? Is Hafley’s message the right one for a young team in a rebuild? And how can Miami handle a Bengals defense that brings pressure, especially with Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins’ availability still uncertain? We get into the film, the player development, the coaching questions, the injury watch, and what the Dolphins need to show next. #MiamiDolphins #Dolphins #PhinsUp #NFL #DolphinsSquadShow #Bengals \*\*\*\*\* 'LIVE' Miami Dolphins Commentary + Analysis from Miami Dolphins Defensive Tackle Jeff “Z” Zgonina, Locked On Dolphins' Kyle Crabbs and Host Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber. | DOLPHINS SQUAD SHOW: Dolphins Defense Holds Vikings Without a Touchdown—Miami Still Falls 15–10, 0-4 | 05 Oct 2026 | 01:02:02
The Miami Dolphins had a chance to steal one in Minnesota, but fell 15–10 after a fourth-quarter field goal sealed the Vikings’ win. Miami’s defense kept Minnesota out of the end zone and created pressure, with Zach Sieler recording two sacks and Chop Robinson adding another. Ollie Gordon gave the offense its spark: a 53-yard run helped set up his 12-yard touchdown, and he finished with 98 rushing yards on just eight carries. Malik Washington added five catches for 67 yards. But Miami managed only two third-down conversions, and Minnesota used a 14-play, 57-yard drive to drain 7:43 late in the game. GRIES, Kyle Crabbs, and Jeff Zgonina break down the game flow, the penalties, the defensive performance, the offensive frustration, Player of the Game, X-Factor, and what Miami must fix next. #MiamiDolphins #Dolphins #Vikings #NFL #DolphinsPostgame #PhinsUp \*\*\*\*\* 'LIVE' Miami Dolphins Commentary + Analysis from Miami Dolphins Defensive Tackle Jeff “Z” Zgonina, Locked On Dolphins' Kyle Crabbs and Host Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber. Miami Dolphins offensive line dominates despite offensive struggles—are brighter days ahead for South Florida football fans? Kyle Crabbs spotlights standout performances from Patrick Paul and Jonah Savaiinaea in the Week 3 clash against the Kansas City Chiefs, praising their trench play and detailed tape grades. Key discussions include Kadyn Proctor’s development at guard, Aaron Brewer’s steady presence, and Austin Jackson’s improved right tackle play. | DOLPHINS SQUAD SHOW: Dolphins Fall to 0–3 After Gut-Punch Loss to Chiefs | 24–10 Final, Squad Reax | 27 Sep 2026 | 01:00:55
The Miami Dolphins held the ball for more than 32 minutes, finished just 18 yards behind Kansas City, and matched the Chiefs with 18 first downs. But the final score was Chiefs 24, Dolphins 10—and the difference was what happened when the game turned on a handful of high-pressure plays. Kansas City scored touchdowns on its first two possessions. Miami answered with a 17-play, 91-yard touchdown drive finished by Ollie Gordon, but De’Von Achane left with a knee injury and did not return. The Dolphins defense then settled in, shut out the Chiefs in the third quarter, and kept Miami within striking distance. Rookie Jacob Rodriguez made one of the game’s biggest plays, diving for an interception off Patrick Mahomes and returning it 18 yards. Chris Bell came up with a big catch, Caleb Douglas drew penalties, and Greg Dulcich gave Miami a spark in the passing game. The defense also stopped Kansas City on fourth down and made a goal-to-go stand that forced a field goal. Miami had opportunities to turn those moments into a comeback. Instead, the Dolphins finished with two turnovers and eight penalties for 64 yards. With about six minutes left, they went for it on fourth-and-five from their own 48 and came up short. Kansas City answered with a five-play touchdown drive, capped by Mahomes’ 11-yard pass to Travis Kelce. Willis threw a late interception, and even though Harrison Butker missed a 50-yard field goal, the game was already decided. GRIES, Kyle Crabbs, and Jeff “Z” Zgonina break down the defensive adjustment, Rodriguez’s rookie performance, Achane’s injury, Miami’s missed chances, and the fourth-down decision that set up Kansas City’s final touchdown. #MiamiDolphins #ChiefsKingdom #DolphinsSquadShow #NFL #DolphinsPostgame ***** 'LIVE' Miami Dolphins Commentary + Analysis from Miami Dolphins Defensive Tackle Jeff “Z” Zgonina, Locked On Dolphins' Kyle Crabbs and Host Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber. | DOLPHINS SQUAD SHOW: Dolphins Defense in CRISIS After 0-2 Start | Who Needs to Step Up? | 23 Sep 2026 | 01:02:10
The Miami Dolphins are 0-2, and Jeff Hafley isn't pretending everything is fine. Miami has ZERO sacks through two games, has allowed points on 10 of 17 defensive possessions and has yet to record a first-half defensive stop this season. After reviewing the 35-13 loss to San Francisco, Hafley acknowledged that the Dolphins are discussing potential changes in playing time at certain positions. So who is in the crosshairs? GRIES, Kyle Crabbs and former Dolphins defensive lineman Jeff Zgonina grade the biggest concerns on Miami's roster, including the nonexistent pass rush, communication breakdowns in the secondary, Austin Jackson and the offensive line, Malik Willis and the passing game, and a defense that allowed Brock Purdy to complete 20 of 22 passes. But there are young Dolphins making their case for bigger roles. Michael Taaffe has taken ownership of the secondary's communication issues, Kadyn Proctor continues to develop, Will Kacmarek is making noise on film, and De'Von Achane and the running game showed signs of becoming the foundation of Miami's offensive identity. Plus, we update the status of Chop Robinson, Caleb Douglas and Jaylen Wright, examine Miami's addition of EDGE Andre Jones Jr. and ask which players deserve more snaps as Hafley continues building one of the NFL's youngest teams. And then there's Sunday. Patrick Mahomes and the 2-0 Kansas City Chiefs are coming to Hard Rock Stadium after Mahomes threw for 382 yards and three touchdowns in Kansas City's Week 2 overtime win. What can Miami possibly fix before facing one of the NFL's most explosive offenses? #MiamiDolphins #Dolphins #FinsUp #MiamiDolphinsNews #JeffHafley #MalikWillis #DeVonAchane #PatrickMahomes #KansasCityChiefs #DolphinsChiefs #NFL #NFLWeek3 #LockedOnDolphins \*\*\*\*\* 'LIVE' Miami Dolphins Commentary + Analysis from Miami Dolphins Defensive Tackle Jeff “Z” Zgonina, Locked On Dolphins' Kyle Crabbs and Host Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber. | The Miami Dolphins Offense Must Learn To Walk Before It Can Run...Or Something Like That | 22 Sep 2026 | 00:30:59
Miami Dolphins offense shows flashes of promise, but growing pains on the offensive line raise big questions for the season ahead. Can young standouts like Will Kacmarek, Patrick Paul, and Kadyn Proctor become reliable anchors, or will inconsistency at the tackle spot—especially from Austin Jackson—hold back the team's high-octane attack? Kyle Crabbs provides a detailed breakdown of Miami’s Week 2 performance against the San Francisco 49ers, spotlighting Ryan Miller’s 77-yard touchdown reception. The conversation covers the effectiveness of Miami’s revamped run game, Malik Willis’s decision-making, and why the Dolphins must “learn to walk before they can run.” Additional insights include Greg Dulcich’s struggles, the ongoing pass protection woes, and how the team’s roster construction could shape their offensive identity moving forward. | DOLPHINS SQUAD SHOW: Miami Dolphins DESTROYED by SF 49ers 35-13 — FINS Had NO ANSWERS | Squad Show | 21 Sep 2026 | 01:02:04
The Miami Dolphins fall to 0-2 after a 35-13 loss to the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium — and the final score only tells part of the story. Miami actually controlled much of the first half. The Dolphins outgained San Francisco 166-125 before halftime, ran 35 plays to the 49ers' 20 and possessed the football for 19:17. De'Von Achane had 63 rushing yards by halftime, and Miami repeatedly moved into scoring position. But the Dolphins couldn't finish. Miami's first three scoring opportunities produced a missed field goal and two made field goals. San Francisco responded by scoring touchdowns on each of its first five possessions. Then the game exploded. The 49ers outscored Miami 21-0 in the third quarter, turning a competitive 14-6 halftime game into a 35-6 blowout. Brock Purdy finished 20-of-22 for 287 yards with two passing touchdowns, added 30 rushing yards and another touchdown, and Miami's defense had virtually no answer for Kyle Shanahan's offense. Even more alarming: Christian McCaffrey was held to just 23 rushing yards on 10 carries, yet San Francisco still scored 35 points. Malik Willis finished 14-of-23 for 197 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions, but 77 of those yards and Miami's only touchdown came on a late connection with Ryan Miller with the Dolphins already trailing 35-6. Achane finished with 20 carries for 74 yards after Miami made a clear effort to feature him. | DOLPHINS SQUAD SHOW: Dolphins Rookies FLASH — Now Comes MASSIVE 49ers Test for Young Miami Team | 16 Sep 2026 | 01:02:07
The Miami Dolphins are 0-1 after a frustrating 27-13 loss to Las Vegas, but the film revealed plenty that wasn’t obvious watching live. GRIES, Kyle Crabbs and former Dolphins defensive lineman Jeff Zgonina break down what Jeff Hafley saw after reviewing Week 1, including Miami’s dramatic second-half defensive improvement, costly special-teams mistakes, protection problems and a young roster that produced several encouraging NFL debuts. Rookie wide receiver Caleb Douglas exploded for 94 receiving yards, Jacob Rodriguez recorded 14 tackles, Chris Johnson was repeatedly tested by Las Vegas, and young safeties Michael Taaffe and Dante Trader Jr. both intercepted Kirk Cousins. But Miami still has major issues to correct: Malik Willis was sacked five times, De’Von Achane and the running game never got going, Miami generated no sacks of its own and the Dolphins’ kickoff coverage repeatedly handed Las Vegas favorable field position. Then the Squad turns toward Week 2. Miami heads to Levi’s Stadium as a 13.5-point underdog against a San Francisco 49ers team coming off a dominant 27-7 win over the Los Angeles Rams in Australia. Can Miami protect Willis against Nick Bosa? Can Achane get the running game going? Can Hafley’s young defense handle Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey and Kyle Shanahan? And is this young Dolphins team better than the Week 1 scoreboard suggests? Everything Dolphins. Everything Week 2. Dolphins Squad Show. | DOLPHINS SQUAD SHOW: Dolphins Fall 27-13 to Raiders: Penalties, Sacks, Blown Chances Doom Miami | 14 Sep 2026 | 01:02:07
The Miami Dolphins opened the Jeff Hafley era with a frustrating 27-13 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, and the final score only tells part of the story. Host Jim "Gries" Grieshaber, Kyle Crabbs of Locked On Dolphins and former Miami Dolphin Jeff "Z" Zgonina break down a Week 1 game filled with missed opportunities, costly penalties and protection problems. Miami's defense intercepted Kirk Cousins twice, while the return game repeatedly created favorable field position — including a spectacular 79-yard Jaylen Wright kickoff return — but the Dolphins continually failed to turn those opportunities into points. Malik Willis finished 15-of-27 for 222 yards with one interception, added 39 rushing yards and Miami's only touchdown, but was sacked five times for 35 yards. De'Von Achane was held to 36 rushing yards on 11 carries, while Caleb Douglas emerged as one of Miami's brightest offensive performers with 5 catches for 94 yards. Defensively, Miami's youth was tested. Rookie linebacker Jacob Rodriguez led the Dolphins with 14 tackles, Chris Johnson recorded 11 tackles, a TFL and two passes defended, and young safeties Michael Taaffe and Dante Trader Jr. each intercepted Cousins. The Squad breaks down the game's turning point, Miami's inability to capitalize in Raiders territory, the offensive-line problems, the lack of a running game, the Raiders' success with Ashton Jeanty, and what Hafley's young Dolphins must correct before remaining out West to face the San Francisco 49ers next week. Raiders 27. Dolphins 13. Miami is 0-1 — and now the response matters. | The Miami Dolphins 2026 Record Prediction Show | 11 Sep 2026 | 00:29:27
Miami Dolphins’ 2026 playoff hopes take a major hit as Kyle Crabbs predicts a challenging 5-12 season. Can Jeff Hafley's squad defy the odds with captains like Patrick Paul, Aaron Brewer, and Malik Willis leading the charge? Matchups against the San Francisco 49ers, Buffalo Bills, and Green Bay Packers loom large, while the offensive line and lack of depth raise concerns about overcoming powerhouse offenses led by Joe Burrow, Justin Jefferson, and Jared Goff. Crabbs breaks down the season into “no way,” “probably not,” “hey, it could happen,” and “we’re winning” buckets, shedding light on winnable clashes with the New York Jets and Las Vegas Raiders. New England Patriots’ Drake Maye, and unpredictable injury impacts spark debate about Miami’s path forward. | DOLPHINS SQUAD SHOW: Can the New-Look Dolphins Shock the Raiders in Vegas? Miami’s Week 1 Preview | 11 Sep 2026 | 00:59:05
The wait is over. The Jeff Hafley era officially begins Sunday as the Miami Dolphins head to Las Vegas for Week 1 against the Raiders — and this will be the first real look at one of the most dramatically rebuilt teams in the NFL. Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber is joined by Kyle Crabbs and former Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Jeff Zgonina for the official Dolphins Squad Show Week 1 pregame breakdown. Miami enters the season with a new head coach, a new starting quarterback in Malik Willis, roughly 35 players who were not active for the Dolphins in Week 1 last season, and young players being asked to take major roles immediately. Willis begins his first season as Miami’s QB1 after being voted a team captain alongside De’Von Achane, Aaron Brewer, Patrick Paul, Zach Sieler and Jordyn Brooks. The crew breaks down what Miami needs from Willis, how Bobby Slowik can build the offense around Achane, and whether young receivers Malik Washington, Chris Bell and Caleb Douglas are ready to make an immediate impact. Up front, one matchup looms over everything: Patrick Paul and Miami’s offensive line against Maxx Crosby. Can the Dolphins protect Willis, establish the run and prevent Crosby from taking over the game? Defensively, the matchup changed significantly when Raiders tight end Brock Bowers was ruled out following a knee procedure. That leaves Miami’s young defense facing veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins, running back Ashton Jeanty, and a Raiders receiving corps without its biggest weapon. Kyle and Z also break down rookie linebacker Jacob Rodriguez, who will wear the defensive green dot and relay Jeff Hafley’s calls in his first NFL start, plus the potential pass-rush opportunities for Chop Robinson and Zach Sieler. Finally, the guys make their official Week 1 predictions and hit the biggest stories from around the NFL after Seattle defeated New England and San Francisco dominated the Rams. The rebuild is over. The preseason is over. Now Jeff Hafley, Malik Willis and the new-look Miami Dolphins finally get judged on the scoreboard. #MiamiDolphins #Dolphins #FinsUp #DolphinsSquadShow #MalikWillis #JeffHafley #DeVonAchane #KyleCrabbs #JeffZgonina #Raiders #NFLWeek1 \*\*\*\*\* 'LIVE' Miami Dolphins Commentary + Analysis from Miami Dolphins Defensive Tackle Jeff “Z” Zgonina, Locked On Dolphins' Kyle Crabbs and Host Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber. | DOLPHINS SQUAD SHOW: Miami Dolphins Week 1 Is HERE: Malik Willis Leads New-Look FINS Into Vegas | 09 Sep 2026 | 01:00:39
Week 1 is finally here for the Miami Dolphins. After an offseason of massive roster turnover, a new coaching staff, a new starting quarterback and one of the youngest rosters in the NFL, Jeff Hafley’s Dolphins are preparing for their first real test against the Las Vegas Raiders. Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber is joined by Kyle Crabbs, former Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Jeff Zgonina, and Wes Goldberg to break down the biggest storylines heading into the season opener. Miami has selected its 2026 captains, with Malik Willis, De’Von Achane, Aaron Brewer, Patrick Paul, Zach Sieler and Jordyn Brooks chosen to lead the team. Willis enters Week 1 not only as Miami’s new QB1, but as a captain voted in by his teammates — a strong sign of how quickly he has earned trust inside the Dolphins locker room. The Squad also dives into Miami’s first regular-season depth chart and the youth movement that has become impossible to ignore. Rookies and young players including Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell, Kadyn Proctor, Jacob Rodriguez, Dante Trader Jr. and Chris Johnson Jr. are being trusted with major starting roles immediately. Can Miami’s young wide receiver group surprise people? Could Malik Washington emerge as the team’s most reliable target? How quickly can Douglas and Bell make an impact? And why does Kyle believe tight end Will Kacmarek could quietly be an important part of Miami’s Week 1 offensive structure? The offensive matchup begins with De’Von Achane and Miami’s run game, but Las Vegas presents one enormous problem up front: Maxx Crosby. The crew discusses how Bobby Slowik can protect Willis and Miami’s young offensive line without limiting the offense. Defensively, the challenge is just as significant. Veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins will immediately test Miami’s young linebackers and secondary, while Brock Bowers presents one of the most difficult matchup problems in football. Rookie linebacker Jacob Rodriguez gets his first true NFL test after winning a starting job over veteran Tyrel Dodson. Kyle breaks down Miami’s personnel and matchup advantages, Z gives the former-player perspective on preparing for Week 1, and Wes brings the Dolphins fan pulse as Miami enters the season with extremely low national expectations. Plus, the NFL season kicks off tonight with Patriots-Seahawks, followed by 49ers-Rams in Australia before Miami takes the field Sunday. The preseason is over. The leaders have been chosen. The kids have been trusted. Now we find out what the Miami Dolphins actually built. #MiamiDolphins #Dolphins #FinsUp #DolphinsSquadShow #MalikWillis #JeffHafley #DeVonAchane #KyleCrabbs #JeffZgonina #WesGoldberg #NFLWeek1 #Raiders \*\*\*\*\* 'LIVE' Miami Dolphins Commentary + Analysis from Miami Dolphins Defensive Tackle Jeff “Z” Zgonina, Locked On Dolphins' Kyle Crabbs and Host Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber. | DOLPHINS SQUAD SHOW: Dolphins Young Core Could SURPRISE the NFL | Who Breaks Out in 2026? Kyle & Z | 03 Sep 2026 | 01:07:19
Everybody knows what the Miami Dolphins lost this offseason. Today, the Dolphins Squad Show flips the conversation and asks a much more interesting question: What if these young Dolphins can actually play? Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber is joined by Dolphins insider Kyle Crabbs and former Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Jeff Zgonina to examine the young players and position groups that could outperform expectations during the 2026 NFL season. Miami enters the season with one of the youngest rosters in football, and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan and head coach Jeff Hafley have made it clear that youth, development and opportunity are central to the organization’s new direction. The Squad begins by examining what Miami actually has rather than focusing exclusively on what the Dolphins lack. Then the spotlight turns to one of the most fascinating position groups on the roster: wide receiver. Could Malik Washington legitimately emerge as Miami’s leading receiver? Is 6-foot-4 rookie Caleb Douglas ready for a breakout season? What is Chris Bell’s ceiling now that he has returned from ACL surgery? Where does Kevin Coleman Jr. fit after flashing throughout training camp? And can Bobby Slowik use the versatility of this young group to create matchup problems across the formation? GRIES, Kyle and Z also dive into a linebacker room that suddenly looks much more intriguing than expected. Veteran Jordyn Brooks provides the foundation, but Miami made one of its boldest roster decisions by releasing Tyrel Dodson — who recorded 129 tackles last season — and handing major responsibility to rookie Jacob Rodriguez. What did Rodriguez show the Dolphins to win that job? How does Willie Gay Jr.’s hybrid versatility change Hafley’s defense? Can Jackson Woodard translate his turnover-filled preseason into defensive snaps? And where does versatile rookie Kyle Louis fit? Then the Squad selects Miami’s biggest potential breakout players on both sides of the football. Names include Caleb Douglas, Malik Washington, Chris Bell, Jonah Savaiinaea, Chop Robinson, Jacob Rodriguez, Dante Trader Jr., Chris Johnson Jr., Jackson Woodard and Keith Cooper Jr. Finally, attention begins turning toward Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders and veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins. Miami’s young linebackers and secondary will immediately face an experienced quarterback capable of identifying mistakes before the snap. National expectations for the Dolphins are extremely low. Now the young players Miami chose have an opportunity to change the conversation. The kids got the jobs. Now we find out if the kids can play. #MiamiDolphins #Dolphins #FinsUp #DolphinsSquadShow #NFL #MalikWashington #CalebDouglas #ChrisBell #JacobRodriguez #ChopRobinson #JeffHafley #MalikWillis \*\*\*\*\* 'LIVE' Miami Dolphins Commentary + Analysis from Miami Dolphins Defensive Tackle Jeff “Z” Zgonina, Locked On Dolphins' Kyle Crabbs and Host Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber. Miami Dolphins enter captaincy week with leadership questions as Jeff Hafley puts the vote to players—who will step up in a roster full of fresh faces? Kyle Crabbs spotlights likely candidates like Malik Willis, Aaron Brewer, Zach Sieler, and Jordyn Brooks, examining what true veteran presence means for a unit returning only 21 of 53 players. Are the Dolphins destined for four, six, or more captains—with NFL trends seeing teams like the Chargers and Rams naming double digits? Crabbs breaks down Bobby Slowik’s arrival as offensive coordinator, asking if he’s the missing piece or just another wild card after mixed results in Houston. With Miami’s high-variance roster, the spotlight turns to new chemistry between Will Sheppard and Kyle McCord, practice squad churn, and the legacy of “Ray Feinga” 2.0—Ethan Bonner. | DOLPHINS SQUAD SHOW: Dolphins Roster REVOLUTION: Sullivan Makes 26 Moves & Reshapes Miami for Season | 01 Sep 2026 | 01:05:02
The Miami Dolphins’ preseason is over — and general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan immediately went to work reshaping the football team. Following Miami’s preseason finale against Atlanta, the Dolphins finalized their initial 53-man roster and then unleashed another extraordinary wave of transactions, including seven successful waiver claims, eight new additions to the active roster and 26 total transactions in one day. Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber is joined by Dolphins insider Kyle Crabbs and former Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Jeff Zgonina to break down one of the most eventful roster weekends in recent franchise history. The show begins with what Miami actually learned from its 17-12 preseason loss to Atlanta. Jeff Hafley again protected most of his starters, Miami finished the preseason 0-3 and scored only one offensive touchdown all preseason — yet several young players continued to emerge, including Chris Bell, Jackson Woodard, Keith Cooper Jr. and Dante Trader Jr. Then the Squad dives into Sullivan’s massive roster overhaul. Miami claimed quarterback Brady Cook, tight end Justin Joly, offensive linemen Chukwuebuka Godrick and Jarrett Kingston, defensive backs Marcellas Dial Jr., Reese Taylor and Julius Wood, while also signing veteran defensive end Malik Herring. The Dolphins also completely rebuilt the quarterback room behind Malik Willis. Quinn Ewers was traded to Jacksonville, Kyle McCord was acquired from Green Bay, Brady Cook was claimed from the Jets and Mark Gronowski returned on the practice squad. Kyle breaks down what McCord brings after leading college football with 4,779 passing yards at Syracuse in 2024 and producing 446 yards and four touchdowns during this preseason. One of Miami’s biggest surprises came at linebacker. Veteran Tyrel Dodson — who recorded 129 tackles last season — was released after Miami determined rookie Jacob Rodriguez had won the competition. Willie Gay Jr. remains because of his valuable hybrid ability, while young linebackers Jackson Woodard and Kyle Louis also survived Miami’s roster overhaul. The Squad examines Miami’s youth movement, with players including Chris Bell, Caleb Douglas, Kevin Coleman Jr., Jackson Woodard, Keith Cooper Jr., Dante Trader Jr. and Chris Johnson all emerging from training camp as members of one of the NFL’s youngest rosters. GRIES, Kyle and Z also break down Miami’s new offensive-line depth, secondary additions, the injuries to Trey Moore and Kenneth Grant, the Jarquez Hunter/Tutu Atwell trade sequence, Bradley Pinion’s shaky preseason and where Sullivan may still look to upgrade the roster. Finally, the focus turns to the most important evaluation of Miami’s entire 2026 season: Malik Willis. Sullivan believes Miami has enough talent around Willis to properly determine whether he can become the Dolphins’ long-term quarterback. Now that roster construction is largely complete and Week 1 approaches, there are no more preseason excuses. The new Miami Dolphins are taking shape. Now they have to play. #MiamiDolphins #Dolphins #FinsUp #DolphinsSquadShow #NFL #MalikWillis #JeffHafley #JonEricSullivan #KyleCrabbs #DolphinsNews #DolphinsRoster \*\*\*\*\* 'LIVE' Miami Dolphins Commentary + Analysis from Miami Dolphins Defensive Tackle Jeff “Z” Zgonina, Locked On Dolphins' Kyle Crabbs and Host Jim “GRIES” Grieshaber.
