Many think that Justin Herbert's production will fall off a cliff with new OC Greg Roman and a more run heavy offense, but he actually is about to be better than ever. Securing Ben Herbert was one of the biggest moves under Jim Harbaugh so far and it was easy to see why when he spoke with the media. The Chargers offseason has been insane, and Dan Wolkenstein and Jake Hefner join to discuss the big changes so far under Jim Harbaugh. From the Keenan Allen trade to the tactical moves made in free agency it is very clear that the Chargers are doing things differently and they needed to. GM Joe Hortiz was in attendance at LSU's Pro Day presumably to get a first hand look at explosive WR Malik Nabers who set the event on fire with his testing. The Chargers have to be interested in him if they plan on taking the best player available at 5, but would they take him over Marvin Harrison Jr.? Dan and David discuss why it would be a mistake to take an offensive lineman with the 5th pick and if they believe Gus Edwards is in for his best season yet. New OC Greg Roman used Edwards in a committee in their time together in Baltimore, and Isaiah Spiller will try to earn a role with his fresh start. Jim Harbaugh spoke to the media Monday and said the Chargers feel like they have the first overall pick because four QBs could be taken ahead of them. There is a great chance the Chargers could have their choice of the top two wide receivers in the draft, and they need to land one. Marvin Harrison Jr. is extremely polished and could be WR1 for the Chargers from day one, and he should be the pick at 5 even if the ultra explosive Malik Nabers is available.
