I Was a Prosecutor — Then My Cop Husband Got 11 Years in Federal Prison | Elizabeth Guzman07 oct. 202601:32:57

Elizabeth Guzman was a prosecutor when her husband Javier — a Tampa vice detective who made the DEA task force — was arrested for laundering money for the cartel and sentenced to 11 years in federal prison. She stood by him through the entire case and his decade behind bars, even finding a way to start a family while he was in federal custody. Elizabeth shares what it was like watching her husband get prosecuted by the same system she worked inside, why she stayed, and what 11 years of federal prison looked like from the other side.

I Was a DEA Undercover Cop — Then Got 11 Years in Prison for Working With the Cartel | Javier Guzman06 oct. 202603:04:44

Javier Guzman became a Tampa police officer at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks into vice and undercover work before earning a spot on a DEA task force. He went from chasing drug dealers and running dangerous undercover operations to crossing a line that would completely change his life — working with the cartel and helping launder money. After someone flipped, the feds closed in, Javier was arrested, pled guilty, and was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison. Now, he tells the full story of going from cop to DEA undercover officer to federal inmate, what really happened behind the scenes, how he survived prison as a former police officer, and how he rebuilt his life after getting out.

Jon Buehler spent 32 years with the Modesto Police Department, including more than 20 years as a homicide detective investigating murders and some of the most disturbing cases of his career. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, Jon takes us inside the cases the public never heard about — what he saw at crime scenes, how detectives actually build a murder case, the details that never made the news or came out in court, and what more than two decades of investigating homicide does to the person behind the badge. He also shares his firsthand experience working the Scott Peterson case, one of the most widely followed murder investigations and trials in American history.

Nate Johnson grew up in Michigan, turned to the streets at a young age, and cycled in and out of juvenile detention and jail before a drug and robbery case sent him to Michigan state prison for 12 and a half years. I Was the Detective Who Took Down the Zion Society Cult — Here's What Happened | Mike King29 sept. 202602:03:39

Mike King started his career on patrol and SWAT with the Ogden City Police Department in Utah before becoming the lead investigator in the 1991 Zion Society case, involving a 120-member polygamist doomsday cult led by self-proclaimed prophet Arvin Shreeve. After a member came forward and revealed what was happening inside the group, Mike and his team launched a secret 24-day investigation that ended with coordinated raids on multiple homes, 32 children being removed from the group, and Shreeve and several members ultimately going to prison. Mike later led multi-agency task forces, served as Chief of Staff to the Utah Attorney General, trained in criminal profiling, and created Profiling Evil.

I Was a New Jersey Cop for 25 Years — These Are The Moments I Can't Unsee | Rick Fittin28 sept. 202602:40:11

Rick Fittin grew up in New Jersey, joined the Army, and went on to spend more than 25 years in law enforcement — working his way from patrol officer to K9 officer and eventually police chief. Along the way, he experienced the wild, funny, and unpredictable side of policing that most people never get to hear directly from the officers who lived it. After more than two decades on the job, Rick walked away from law enforcement and started an entirely new chapter of his life.

I Was on America's Most Wanted at 19 — Then Survived 20 Years Inside New York's Worst Prisons | Kevin "Fresh" Townsend27 sept. 202601:39:05

Kevin "Fresh" Townsend grew up in Brooklyn with his father in prison and his mother raising him on her own. He took to the streets at a young age, dropped out of high school, became involved with gangs, and started dealing drugs. Then, at just 19 years old, he landed on America's Most Wanted for a murder he says he did not commit. After two trials, Kevin was convicted and sentenced to 20 years to life in New York state prison. Over the next two decades, he ran with the Bloods, navigated Rikers Island, and survived some of New York's toughest maximum-security prisons. After serving 20 years, Kevin finally walked free — just two weeks before sitting down to record this episode.

I Was a Guard Inside Georgia's Violent Prison System — I Can't Unsee What I Saw | Tyler Ryals24 sept. 202602:57:24

Tyler Ryals couldn't get into the military, so at 18 years old he became a correctional officer in the Georgia state prison system. He quickly worked his way up, becoming one of the youngest CERT team commanders and sergeants in the system. Over nearly 10 years, he worked inside some of Georgia's most violent maximum-security prisons and witnessed firsthand how severe staffing shortages put both officers and inmates at risk. Eventually, Tyler became a whistleblower, speaking out about just how dangerous conditions inside Georgia's prison system had become — a decision that ultimately pushed him out of the career he had built.

I Was One of Rikers Island's Youngest Captains — Here's Why I Left | James Kearney23 sept. 202601:46:30

James Kearney grew up in New York City as the son of a Rikers Island correctional officer. He originally wanted to become a teacher, but ultimately followed in his father's footsteps and joined the New York City Department of Correction in the late 1990s. By his third year on the job, he had become one of the youngest captains in Rikers Island history. But stepping into leadership exposed him to a side of the system he never expected — inexperienced people being placed in positions they weren't prepared for, and a culture that didn't always welcome those who challenged it. When James tried to address what he was seeing, he says he experienced the full weight of institutional retaliation. Less than a decade into his career, an injury on the job ultimately led to his medical retirement.

I Was a Hells Angel for 10 Years — Here's Why I Finally Walked Away | George "Joby" Walters22 sept. 202602:00:40

George "Joby" Walters grew up in Ohio, joined the Army, and developed a passion for mechanics and motorcycles before joining the Avengers Motorcycle Club in Alabama. After an injury pushed him away from the club, he eventually landed in Arizona, where he patched into the Hells Angels in the late 1990s and became close personal friends with the legendary Sonny Barger. Over the next decade, Joby found himself in the middle of violent conflicts with rival clubs including the Mongols and Vagos and was present at the infamous Harrah's Casino riot in Laughlin, Nevada, on April 27, 2002, when the Hells Angels and Mongols clashed in one of the most notorious biker confrontations in American history. In the aftermath, he went on the run to Mexico, eventually took a plea deal that sent him to prison, and ultimately made the decision to walk away from the Hells Angels after 10 years. Now, Joby is telling the complete story of what life inside one of the world's most notorious motorcycle clubs was really like — from brotherhood and loyalty to violence, prison, and what it took to finally leave it behind.

I Smuggled Drugs for a Mexican Cartel — Then Got 5 Years in Federal Prison | Lauren Korn20 sept. 202601:41:02

Lauren Marie Korn was adopted from Colombia and raised by a loving family in New Jersey. She had a good home and every opportunity to take a different path — but the people she surrounded herself with eventually pulled her into the drug world. What started with a relationship with a drug dealer grew into Lauren building a successful marijuana operation in California, mailing weed across the country and making serious money. But as the operation got bigger, so did the people she was dealing with. Eventually, Lauren found herself working with the Mexican cartel and smuggling drugs across the United States — until the federal government came crashing down on her operation.

I Hunted America's Biggest Drug Traffickers in the '70s — Here's What It Was Like | Lewis Rice17 sept. 202602:27:47

Lewis Rice spent 26 years inside the DEA, working undercover cases and helping take down some of the biggest drug traffickers in America in the 1970's, 80's & 90's. After earning his Criminal Justice degree from St. John's University, he joined the DEA and went on to coordinate major international investigations targeting violent cartels in Miami — cases that seized millions of dollars in cash and thousands of kilos of cocaine and heroin. He worked directly with infamous Harlem drug kingpin Frank Lucas after Lucas became a government cooperator, using his information to help convict major traffickers. Rice eventually rose through DEA leadership positions in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Detroit, and New York before becoming Special Agent in Charge of the DEA's flagship New York office — making him the youngest SAC in the entire agency at the time. After 26 years on the front lines of America's war on drugs, he retired in 2001.

I Was a White Crip — Then Spent Years in State & Federal Prison | Joshua Bentz16 sept. 202603:09:30

Joshua Bentz grew up in Connecticut, watched his parents split, felt unwanted by his mother, took to the streets, became a White Crip, cycled through juvenile detention, Connecticut state prison, and eventually the federal prison system — navigating addiction, prison politics, gang life, and the specific difficulty of finding work as a felon — before finally finding sobriety and the turning point that everything that life had cost him desperately needed.

I've Been a New York Crip Since Age 8 — Here's the Reality | Ca$h Carter15 sept. 202601:57:49

Ca$h Carter has been a Crip since he was 8 years old. Growing up in New York City with his father out of the picture, his mother battling addiction, and a foster mother raising him, the Harlem Crip set became the family he found in the streets. More than 20 years later, Cash has cycled through juvenile detention, Rikers Island, and multiple stints in New York State prison. He survived Rikers as a Crip, navigating gang politics, violence, and the realities that come with carrying that identity behind the wall.

I Was an FBI Agent — Then I Became a Whistleblower | Greg Dillon14 sept. 202602:17:28

Greg Dillon grew up in Connecticut, studied criminal justice at the University of New Haven under renowned forensic scientist Dr. Henry Lee, became a Branford police officer, and later joined the FBI as a special agent. After five years with the Bureau, he left to become a supervising investigator at the Connecticut Chief State's Attorney's Office — where he uncovered something he never expected. Greg discovered that FBI agents were falsifying information in federal arrest warrant affidavits and attributing those statements to him and his investigators without their knowledge. When he reported what was happening up the chain of command, instead of being protected, he says his supervisor helped cover it up.

I Was a New Jersey Correctional Officer — Here's Why I Walked Away After 3 Years | Laquan Rouse09 sept. 202601:48:13

Laquan Rouse grew up in New Jersey associating with gang members without ever joining, was a star athlete who had every reason to believe sports would define his future — until he got shot three times his senior year of high school and had to decide who he was actually going to become. He straightened his life out and became a New Jersey correctional officer, spending three years working the floor inside Trenton State Prison and other New Jersey facilities where he earned respect from inmates, witnessed corrupt guards, and accumulated funny stories and hard truths. Then he walked away voluntarily — and is now sharing why.

I Went Into Prison at 23 — Then Spent 17 Years in North Carolina State Prison | Michael L. Burge08 sept. 202601:54:39

Michael L. Burge grew up in North Carolina and Virginia, watched his parents split, was a good kid overall — skipped college, started working, got caught up with the wrong crowd, started robbing houses and businesses, and received a 17 year sentence in the North Carolina state prison system that took him in at 23 years old and handed him back to the world at 40.

I Was A Lawyer For The Mexican Mafia — Then Got 6 Years in Arizona Prison | Jason Keller07 sept. 202602:39:35

Jason Keller became a criminal defense attorney in Arizona, developed addictions to drugs and alcohol that compromised every professional boundary available, took on clients who were members of the New Mexican Mafia, and eventually crossed the single most alarming line available for an officer of the court — smuggling drugs and cell phones into prison for the same clients he was supposed to be defending — before getting caught and receiving a sentence of over six years inside the Arizona state prison system he had spent his career navigating from the other side of the courtroom.

I Worked Inside Nassau County Jail — Here's What Really Goes On Behind Those Walls | Officer Wayne James06 sept. 202601:28:03

Officer Wayne James studied criminal justice and psychology in college, always knew he wanted to work in law enforcement, and has spent four years as a correction officer at Nassau County Correctional Center — building a firsthand understanding of prison politics, inmate behavior, and the specific daily reality of what life inside a county correctional facility actually looks like from the officer managing it. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares what his upbringing gave him that protected him from going down the wrong path, what working inside Nassau County Jail really looks like, what prison politics and the culture behind slashings actually involve, what the difference between working with male and female inmates actually requires of an officer, and what building genuine respect from inmates actually looks like from the person who has to do it every single shift.

Glen "Big Baby" Davis: How I Survived Federal Prison03 sept. 202601:50:53

Glen "Big Baby" Davis grew up with a love for theater, got drafted to the NBA, won a championship with the Boston Celtics, had his career ended by injury, navigated the struggles of life after the league, made decisions that produced a federal indictment, went to prison — riding Con Air, surviving the specific realities of federal institutional life, and collecting the stories most people never get to hear — and is finally sitting down for his first interview since being released to tell the complete truth about everything.

I Was a Georgia Prosecutor for 7 Years — Then Switched Sides To Become A Criminal Defense Attorney | Noah Pines02 sept. 202601:57:25

Noah Pines spent seven years as a prosecutor in Georgia — weighing sentences, navigating cases, trying to be a fair voice inside a system that does not always reward fairness — before leaving to become a criminal defense attorney and discovering what the justice system looks like from the other side of the courtroom. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares what being a Georgia prosecutor really required of him, why he left after seven years to defend the people he used to prosecute, what working Innocence Project cases and overturning twenty year wrongful conviction sentences actually involved, what the current problems with prosecutors in America actually look like from someone who spent seven years inside that world, and what representing people accused of the worst crimes available actually requires of the attorney who takes those cases.

I Was a College Student — Then I Got Sent To Rikers & New York Prison | Khallid Barber01 sept. 202601:10:47

Khallid Barber grew up in New York with a good family and a solid upbringing, went off to college, came home for break, got around the wrong crowd, and got involved in a club shooting he thought he got away with — until three weeks later cops showed up at his college and arrested him for attempted murder. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares what the arrest that interrupted everything actually felt like, what facing attempted murder charges as a college student actually involved, what three years inside Rikers Island and the New York state prison system actually required of him to survive, and what figuring out the work release program that gave him a path back actually looked like for someone who had a future before one night at a club changed everything.

I Spent 29 Years as a New York Court Officer — This Is What The Gilgo Beach Serial Killer Was Like | Brian Burke31 août 202602:03:18

Brian Burke got into corrections in his early twenties, spent four years working inside the New York state prison system, and then spent twenty-nine years as a New York court officer — experiencing the full spectrum of what the American justice system looks like from the person responsible for maintaining order in the room where it all happens. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares what four years in the New York state prison system taught him, what twenty-nine years as a court officer — the juries, the defendants, the prosecutors, the judges, and the heartbreaking and strangest moments the job produced — really looked like from the inside, and what his most significant professional experience actually involved: personally escorting Rex Heuermann — the Gilgo Beach serial killer — throughout his arrest, conviction, and sentencing, and what that specific proximity to one of the most disturbing criminal cases in recent New York history actually revealed about the person at the center of it.

I Went Viral for My Prison Photos — Here's The Truth Behind Them | Sasha Sweets30 août 202601:52:18

Sasha Sweets grew up in California as a natural hustler — selling candy before moving to drugs, working at a strip club, and always chasing the finer things in life while her father was in prison for part of her childhood — before getting into a scamming operation with the father of her child in her early twenties that produced a federal indictment, 3.5 years in federal prison across California, Kentucky, and Arizona, and over $2 million in restitution.

I Smuggled Hashish Internationally in the 70s & 80s — Here's How I Did It | Scott Gussin27 août 202602:41:11

Scott Gussin grew up in New York, lost his mother at seven years old in a moment that changed the direction of everything that followed, fell into selling weed and hash and LSD coming of age in the 1960s and 70s, and eventually built one of the most specific and most audacious international drug smuggling operations available — bringing hash from Morocco to the United States across a career that spanned thirty years before it finally ended.

I'm Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff's Son — Here's What Growing Up With That Name Was Really Like | Supreme McGriff Jr.26 août 202601:39:09

Supreme McGriff Jr. grew up in Queens not fully understanding who his father was until the stories, the attention, and the weight of the name Kenneth Supreme McGriff started shaping everything around him — while his mother worked to keep him away from the path that had defined his father's legacy and the federal prison sentence that followed it. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares what finding out his father is Kenneth Supreme McGriff actually produced in him, what his upbringing in Queens really looked like with that name attached to everything, what his own trouble with scamming and his time on Rikers Island actually involved, what deciding to create an Instagram account with his father's name attached to his own actually set in motion — the celebrities who reached out, the stories with Mike Tyson, the 50 Cent beef, and the complete truth about what carrying one of the most recognized and most feared names in New York street history actually costs the son who never chose it.

Ralph Friedman is the most decorated detective in NYPD history — with 2,000 on-duty arrests, 5,000 additional assists, and 219 awards — and in this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he finally tells the complete truth about what policing in New York City's most dangerous precincts really looked like from the inside during the most violent and most lawless era available. Stationed at the South Bronx's notorious 41st Precinct — known as Fort Apache — he served during one of New York City's most dire periods, recording 2,000 on-duty arrests, 5,000 additional assists, and 15 shootings — four of them fatal — before a rookie in a radio patrol car T-boned his passenger door at high speed on August 1, 1983, leaving him with 23 broken bones including a pelvis broken in four places and a shattered hip that forced him into medical retirement at 34. He shares what the Bronx streets in the 70s and 80s really required of the officers working them, what criminals putting hits on him actually involved, the worst things he ever saw on the job, and what the stories from a career that produced the most decorated record in NYPD history actually sound like from the detective who lived every one of them.

I Was a Surgical Nurse — Then Got 15 Years in Prison | Jenifer Lockwood24 août 202602:11:58

Jenifer Lockwood became a surgical nurse in Florida, grew up watching her mother struggle with addiction, developed her own health complications that introduced her to prescription pills, and eventually built a scheme at her job calling in fraudulent prescriptions to pharmacies to feed the addiction before law enforcement set her up at a pharmacy and arrested her — producing a 15 year Florida state prison sentence that she served 13 years of before sobriety, a paralegal career built inside those walls, and a complete life transformation gave everything that addiction cost her a completely different second chapter.

I Gave Birth in Federal Prison — Here's What Nobody Tells You About That Experience | Tiffany Vulcain23 août 202601:25:05

Tiffany Vulcain grew up neglected by her parents, cycled through group homes and juvenile detention, spent her teenage years around gang life, and hit the streets on her own after turning 18 before a credit card scheme and the wrong group of people produced a five year federal prison sentence — and had to give birth in one of the most isolating and most institutionally indifferent environments available. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, she shares what a childhood defined by neglect, group homes, and juvenile detention really produced before the streets found her, what the federal prison sentence that followed the credit card scheme actually looked like from the inside, and what being pregnant in federal prison and giving birth behind bars actually required of a woman who had spent her entire life fighting to survive systems that were never built to help her.

I've Been a 911 Operator for 10+ Years - Here's What They Don't Tell You About the Job | Chris Barret20 août 202601:46:44

Chris Barrett has spent ten years as a 911 dispatcher in New Jersey — answering the calls that come in at the worst moments of people's lives, deciding what help to send and how fast, talking callers through situations most people never have to face, and carrying the weight of everything those calls produce long after the shift ends. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares what the training for that job actually involves, what the calls that still haunt him really looked like from the dispatcher who took them, how to de-escalate a caller in crisis, how dispatchers decide what kind of help to send, what the strangest calls he has ever received actually involved, and what ten years of sitting on the other end of the most desperate phone calls available does to a person's mental health.

I Was a D1 Basketball Player — Then Got 45 Years In Prison | Harold Doby III19 août 202601:27:59

Harold Doby III grew up in Georgia with a mother who worked as a correctional officer and a father who was secretly a drug dealer — and when his father was sentenced to 19 years in prison Harold was seven years old and sports became the thing that kept everything together. He had his first child at 16, went on to play Division 1 and Division 2 college basketball, played overseas until an injury ended his career, and then fired a single shot from his licensed firearm in self defense during a bar altercation he says he was not a part of — and watched that decision produce a nearly $200,000 restitution order, 20 years of probation, and eventually a 45 year prison sentence when job loss and injuries made the restitution impossible to pay in the time the court required.

I Was an IRS Special Agent for 20+ Years — Here's How the IRS Actually Puts People in Prison for Taxes | Robert Nordlander18 août 202602:02:00

Robert Nordlander spent over 20 years as a special agent with IRS Criminal Investigation — investigating complex criminal tax and money laundering violations, working undercover operations, executing search and arrest warrants, and building the cases that sent tax evaders and money launderers to federal prison — and in this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he finally tells the complete truth about what that career really looked like from the inside. He shares what cases the IRS Criminal Division actually goes after and prosecutes, what it actually takes to put someone in prison for taxes, the different types of money laundering he investigated, why small business owners evade taxes more than anyone else, how cases came to him and what the investigation process actually looked like, some of the most significant cases of his career, and what the new world of influencers and social media income is producing in terms of tax crime that most people never see coming.

I Was a CIA Operative for 25 Years — Then I Got Set Up & Sent to Federal Prison | Michael Wayne17 août 202605:30:31

Michael Wayne grew up in Mississippi, attended the Naval Academy, left after his father died, built a career in business and investments while running a hedge fund for fifteen years, spent twenty-five years as a clandestine CIA contractor operating across some of the most sensitive and most dangerous missions available — and then went to Ukraine after the 2022 Russian invasion to organize humanitarian aid, evacuate women and children from combat zones, train Ukrainian soldiers, and deliver equipment to the front line before discovering widespread corruption tied to Ukraine aid that he says reached powerful US politicians. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares what twenty-five years as a CIA contractor actually looked like from the inside, what changed after 9/11 in the intelligence world, what the Ukraine work actually involved, what the corruption he discovered actually implicated, and what the DOJ prosecution that followed his decision to push back against that corruption actually produced — including a wire fraud conviction, a federal prison sentence at FPC Montgomery, and what he believes was a deliberate government effort to make him a convicted felon before he could become a whistleblower.

I'm a Gambling Addiction Psychologist — Here's Why You Can't Stop Gambling | Dr. Michael Zhang16 août 202601:14:04

Dr. Michael Zhang is a PhD psychologist whose work focuses on gambling addiction and behavioral change in the modern digital environment — and in this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he tells the complete truth about what gambling addiction really is, why it starts, how online gambling and sports betting have created the most dangerous and most accessible addiction environment in history, what it actually takes for someone to finally get help and enter recovery, and what the psychological reality of rebuilding looks like for the people who make it through.

I Became a Shot Caller in Federal Prison — Here's What That Life Really Looks Like | Danny Walsh14 août 202603:29:02

Danny Walsh grew up in Texas with a mother consumed by addiction and a father who was never in the picture — and when he and his brother essentially raised each other as teenagers on their own the path toward trouble found them both before anyone was old enough to stop it. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares how an early sentence in the Texas Department of Corrections led him to become a peckerwood and join one of the most notorious prison gangs in the Texas system before a federal conviction in his early 20s handed him 25 years and sent him into the most brutal maximum security federal penitentiaries in the United States. He opens up about becoming a shot caller — the power, the rules, the violence and the politics that position actually involves — what spending years in solitary confinement did to him mentally and what the PTSD that prison produced has made reacclimating into society nearly impossible in ways that the system that put him there has done almost nothing to address.

I Killed Someone in Self Defense — Then Spent 10 Years in Prison Proving It | Erico Montalvo12 août 202602:18:47

Erico Montalvo grew up in Rhode Island without a father in the picture and a mother too consumed by the streets to be present — and by the time the system found him he had already cycled through juvenile detention multiple times and built an identity that the streets had shaped long before he was old enough to understand where that path was going. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares what happened just days after he turned 18 — an accidental altercation with a veteran that turned into a self-defense situation that ended in the veteran's death — and what being charged with murder instead of recognized as a victim of circumstance actually produced over the ten years he spent fighting his case from inside a Rhode Island county jail before finally taking a manslaughter plea deal and accepting a 13 year sentence.

I Was a Doctor — Then Got Sent to Federal Prison for 14 Years | Rich Morgan11 août 202601:57:03

Rich Morgan graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1998, completed his residency at NYU Rusk Medical Center in 2002, and had everything a decade of medical school and training was supposed to produce — until a common dental procedure exposed him to opioids and changed the direction of everything he had spent his career building. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares what the ten year opioid addiction that followed that dental procedure actually looked like, what writing fraudulent prescriptions to pharmacies to fuel his addiction and eventually selling prescriptions to drug dealers actually involved, what getting caught after a customer cooperated with the government actually felt like, and what being sentenced to 168 months in federal prison as a doctor — and navigating the federal system as a Jewish inmate — actually required of him before he was finally ready to rebuild what the addiction and the federal system had taken.

I Was a Tango Blast for 10 Years in Federal Prison — Here's What That World Really Looks Like | Eli4411 août 202602:10:10

Eli44 grew up in Texas, took to the streets at a young age, did his first bid in the Texas Department of Corrections where he joined the Tango Blasts, and then caught a nearly 15 year federal sentence that sent him into federal medium security facilities and federal penitentiaries where he spent nearly a decade navigating the gang politics, the violence, and the disciplinary transfers that define life as a Tango Blast inside the federal system. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares what being a Tango Blast inside the federal system actually looks like — the rules, the politics, the violence, and the specific survival mindset that nearly 10 years inside some of the most brutal federal facilities in the country required of him — and what finally getting out and turning his life completely around actually took after everything those years produced.

The FBI Set Me Up While I Was Running for Mayor — Then I Got Sent To Prison | PG Sittenfeld09 août 202601:30:12

PG Sittenfeld grew up in Ohio in a good family, went to Princeton, worked in nonprofits, and eventually built a three term career on Cincinnati City Council before an unexpected FBI indictment for bribery and extortion — built around an undercover operation he argues never should have produced charges — derailed everything he had spent his career building at the exact moment he was running for mayor. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares what the FBI indictment actually looked like, what going to trial and losing some counts actually felt like, what the 16 month sentence and the four months he served inside federal prison actually required of him, and what eventually getting out for appeal, losing that appeal, receiving a pardon from Donald Trump, and then having the Supreme Court rule in his favor actually produced in terms of what he now understands about the federal justice system and the people who run it.

I Was The NYPD Cop Who Sent Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff To Prison & Saved 50 Cent | Bill Courtney06 août 202601:48:02

Bill Courtney grew up the son of an NYPD cop, followed his father's footsteps onto the force in the mid-1980s, and spent his career working DEA task forces taking down cartel traffickers in New York City before the rise of rap and the specific world where organized crime and the music industry collided became the defining chapter of everything he did behind the badge. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares what working DEA cartel cases in New York City really looked like, what the rise of rap in the 1980s and 1990s produced in terms of street violence and organized crime, what investigating the 50 Cent shooting actually involved, and what the investigation that eventually took down Kenneth Supreme McGriff — one of the most feared and most connected figures in New York street and hip hop history — actually required of the detectives who built it. He also opens up about flipping informants, making deals, the Murder Inc investigation, and the complete truth about corruption inside the music industry that most people who followed those stories from the outside never heard described honestly from the detective who worked them.

Leo Silva grew up in Texas, was recruited into the DEA at just 22 years old, and spent the next 28 years on the front lines of America's war on drugs — starting with undercover operations in Texas before being stationed in Monterrey Mexico as Resident Agent in Charge where he built cases against the Gulf Cartel and the infamous Los Zetas and eventually rose to Special Agent in Charge. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares what hunting cartels from the inside of Mexico really looked like — the undercover buys the high stakes operations the cartel violence and the bureaucracy that most people on the outside never hear about. He also breaks down how cartels have evolved over nearly three decades how Los Zetas changed everything about cartel violence and what the real truth about the war on drugs looks like from the person who lived it on the front lines for 28 years.

In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, she shares how her mother fell into addiction and began pimping her out, how her parents splitting sent everything into further chaos, how she eventually started selling drugs herself and ultimately became a pimp — the exact monster she had always been afraid of and never wanted to become. She opens up about her own addiction the relationships the multiple children she was raising in the middle of everything, and what a seven year sentence in the Texas Department of Corrections finally did to give her back the life that started being taken from her when she was seven years old.

My Reality TV Star Ex Accused Me of Attempted Murder at a Boat Party — Here's My Side of the Story | Cole Goldberg02 août 202601:06:52

Cole Goldberg was 22 years old when his girlfriend — a woman who appeared on the TLC reality TV show 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After — accused him of attempted murder at the 2022 Boca Bash, a massive annual boating event in Lake Boca Raton, claiming he held her head underwater during an argument on the boat. He was charged with attempted second-degree murder, domestic battery by strangulation, and simple battery — and spent nearly four years fighting those charges before finally going to trial. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares his complete account of what happened that day on the water, what facing an attempted murder charge for nearly four years actually required of him, why he turned down a plea deal that would have required six months in jail and three years of probation rather than accept a felony conviction, and what the judge's not guilty verdict on all counts actually produced in someone who spent four years living under the most serious accusation available.

I Rode Solo as a Mexican in Texas Prison — Here's How I Survived | Hollyhood Texus30 juil. 202602:05:51

Hollyhood Texus (Luis Murillo) grew up in the gang infested neighborhoods of Chicago before his family moved to Dallas, Texas hoping to give him a better life — but with his parents splitting and his teenage years split between Mexico and Texas the path toward trouble found him anyway. In this episode of Locked In with Ian Bick, he shares how robberies led to multiple stints in Dallas County Jail before a felony robbery and gun charge landed him a seven year sentence in the Texas prison system — where he faced something most inmates never have to navigate alone. As a Mexican with no gang affiliation and no crew to back him up Luis rode solo through one of the most politically charged prison systems in the country, surviving the racial politics the daily danger and a race riot that got him transferred to maximum security — before finally getting released after four and a half years and turning his life completely around.
