LLN Episode #316: The Emotional Weight of Hormonal Shifts — and How to Lighten It15 Dec 202500:19:29

So many women in midlife say the same thing: "I feel heavier inside, and I don't know why."

The truth is, hormonal shifts during perimenopause and menopause can profoundly affect your emotions — often in ways no one ever warned you about.

In this compassionate episode of Tea & Truth, Lynne breaks down the real science behind the emotional weight of hormonal change, including how fluctuations in estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, and neurotransmitters influence your mood, stress tolerance, sleep, and overall emotional stability.

We also explore the human experience — the overwhelm, the irritability, the tears that come out of nowhere, the feeling that small things suddenly feel big, and why midlife tends to amplify everything emotionally.

🌿 In this episode, you'll learn:

• Why hormonal shifts intensify emotions in midlife
• How estrogen + progesterone changes impact mood and stress
• How to recognize emotional "weight" vs. emotional "reactivity"
• What your body is actually asking for during hormone transitions
• Nervous system tools to calm overwhelm and regulate emotions
• Daily practices that help lighten your emotional load

You'll walk away with a deeper understanding of your body — and supportive strategies to help you feel grounded, steady, and emotionally lighter again.

LLN Episode #216: Amy Lawrence - Unleashing The Transformative Power of Food Prep22 Jan 202400:29:26

About Amy Lawrence:

Amy describes herself as being a gal of many talents and careers. Originally a special education teacher, turned self-made entrepreneur she opened a tearoom restaurant and gift shop without any restaurant or business experience, just with the passion of loving to prepare homemade food for others. Her tearoom was #1 best tearoom in US in 2004. This career turned into blending and selling loose leaf tea wholesale and retail and writing many cookbooks with her own recipes.

In 2014, Amy tore her vertebral artery, causing a stroke. This woke her up to life and as a result, she sold her tea business. Very happy to be alive, she ate whatever she wanted and gained a lot of weight.

In 2016, she joined a weight loss program, lost over 40 pounds but hated their recipes so decided to create her own, which is how her blog, Gourmet Done Skinny was born. A few years ago, she was invited to be a guest speaker on Weight Loss Made Real with Cookie Rosenblum to talk about food prep. She was amazed at the response. What she thought was ordinary food prep, thrilled and motivated the listeners. This encouraged her to write the book - The Power of Food Prep - it became an international best seller #1 on Amazon. From there she developed and created her own food prep membership called - Food Prep for Foodies.

In her own words, Amy says, "I am a woman who has had many successful careers, almost died twice, but I am here and thriving! Food prep is self-care - so that you can have more time for the things you love."

Amy's recipes are gourmet and healthy, with portion sizes under 500 calories, and she also shared a tip for portion control with desserts by freezing and baking small batches of cookies. -

LLN Episode #212: Brittany Cano –Busy Woman Syndrome: Powerful Tips for Slowing Down08 Jan 202400:26:22

About Brittany Cano:

Brittany Cano is the founder of Faithful Fitness by Brittany & Holistic Nurse Coaches. She has a true passion for guiding overextended women to prioritize their wellbeing so that they can fulfill their life's purpose with peace & passion. Through medicine, movement, & mindfulness she helps you heal & elevate mind, body, & spirit.

Brittany holds a Bachelor's Degree in Science of Nursing and is certified as a life coach, personal trainer, health coach, EFT practitioner, Reiki healer, and yin yoga instructor. Through her holistic Wellbeing programs, classes, & retreats (both locally and abroad), she utilizes her background as a registered nurse of 15 years combined with her expertise in holistic wellness & healing.

What We Discuss In This Episode:

Brittany and Lynne discuss the concept of busy women's syndrome, which refers to the negative effects of chronic stress and constant busyness on women's health. They shared personal experiences and highlighted the importance of slowing down, resting, and balancing the nervous system to prevent health issues associated with this syndrome.

We also discussed the impact of stress on women's health and the need to change the mindset around busyness and prioritize rest. Brittany emphasized the importance of setting boundaries, questioning societal expectations, and debunking the belief that taking time to rest is selfish.

But at some point you really have to sit down and say, hey, this isn't working. I can't carry the whole load myself.  We have to get help from somewhere. And as women, we really need to speak out. And I'm saying this, I don't find it so easy to do myself.  It's a learned practice and something that we need to start learning.

Brittany reiterates the importance of self-care and advocating for oneself, emphasizing the need to learn how to say no, ask for help, and create inner calm through practices like EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique).

Brittany discusses the benefits of EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) for reducing stress and improving social interactions. Brittany shares why she feels EFT is effective. Let's face it, sometimes people aren't able to get into a place of calm  right away.  The mind is everywhere. Through EFT on acupressure points, we're able to hold the body's stress response, really connect the mind, the emotions, and the body.  It can also be used if you feel "stuck" in a certain situation – something you find yourself experiencing over and over. EFT is a perfect tool for that kind of situation and Brittany has been able to help clients clear things from 30, 40, 50 years ago.  It's a powerful modality.

Brittany loves to see women get back into balance in their lives. She encourages us to explore what the impact of being "nonstop busy" is doing to us.  Some people have a huge schedule -  a lot of things that they're up to in life, but they have balance.  And they don't feel that intense pressure, intense anxiety or intense feeling that they have to "perform." But if you're not reaching that balance you need - especially if you're caught in that busy nonstop going, stop and asking yourself, "what do I really need right now?"  And then listen to what you really need, and then meet that need. So, it might be that instead of rushing into the next meeting, you need to take five minutes.

We need to advocate for ourselves, because good chances are nobody else is going to advocate for you.

Key Takeaways:

1.    What is Busy Woman Syndrome?

2.    What are some of the effects of Busy Woman Syndrome?

3.    How can super busy women take care of themselves without feeling it's selfish to do so.

4.    How can we set healthy boundaries?

5.    We explore some of the other tools we can use to dig deeper into some of the things that keep us in that "Busy Woman Syndrome" space.

6.    What support Brittany recommends for a woman with Busy Woman Syndrome?

LLN Episode #210: Ruth Fearnow – How To Become a Mindfulness Ninja!01 Jan 202400:29:08

About Ruth Fearnow:

Ruth Fearnow is a therapist, author and speaker. Her first book, Therapeutic Mindfulness, is a synthesis of her decades-long meditation practice and her work healing trauma and mental distress.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) practitioner, she has identified and embedded the factors necessary for healing into therapeutic mindfulness, a skill to facilitate one's healing journey.

Ruth's private journey began as a young woman when she found herself studying kung fu and qi gong in Dengfeng City, China, the home of the famous Shaolin Temple. It was there she began a serious meditation practice. While this skill takes years to develop, this was her first big step to understanding mindfulness practices.

Ruth's evolution into a trauma therapist has enabled her to integrate age-old wisdom with trauma-informed insight. As a result, she has developed healing philosophies and the process of therapeutic mindfulness which she practices personally, and teaches to her clientele, many of whom use it on their own. Therapeutic mindfulness has now been adopted for professional use by colleagues in the mental health field.

What We Discuss In This Episode:

  • Dealing with feelings directly is transformational and Therapeutic Mindfulness shows us how to do so.
  • How Therapeutic Mindfulness is different from other forms of mindfulness.
  • Ruth shares with us about coping skills versus healing skills.
  • What factors help the mind to heal?
  • What role does self-compassion play in this or other healing processes?
  • Ruth shares how we can know we I should try this process for ourselves.

What We Discuss In This Episode

Bobbi shares her journey of overcoming a serious health condition that took her about 10 years to fully recover from, with the help of an integrative doctor. She emphasized the importance of believing in a way forward, as it motivated her to keep searching for solutions and ultimately find healing.

We also discuss the importance of focusing on progress and finding alternatives when facing challenges like illness or job loss. We also talk about the Tetris Effect, which highlights how training our brains to see progress can help create momentum and keep us moving forward.

Bobbi shares the importance of living in the present and finding ways to be happy even during difficult times. She also emphasizes the significance of cherishing each day as a gift and prioritizing one's health for a fulfilling and long life.

We emphasize the importance of staying active and healthy and we share stories of individuals who started exercising later in life and achieved vibrant and active lifestyles -- it's never too late to begin. Small steps, like brisk walking, can lead to significant improvements in overall well-being.

It's important to believe in yourself and find ways to move forward in life.

LLN Episode #203: Amanda Laden - Using Your VOICE to Advocate for Yourself In Outdated Systems04 Dec 202300:37:17

About Amanda Laden:

Amanda Laden is the Founder and CEO of Period to Pause, the leading platform for elevating people's voices in their own health, healthcare treatment, and well-being. Amanda started Period to Pause to equip people to advocate for their needs, change a system that was not set up to support womxn and gender non-conforming folks, and to help people to rise, vocalize, and mobilize to change the healthcare system. She is also a Growth Strategist and the CEO of The Firebrand Institute and works with organizations to create strategies to support diverse populations and create cultures of inclusion and belonging. In her spare time she hosts events over food and wine to create community, connection, and change. She currently resides in San Diego with her Bulldog/poodle rescue, Bernie. Fun facts - Amanda has traveled to over 50 countries and loves eating and drinking her way around the world.

What We Discuss In this Episode:

Amanda shares what brought her into this area of work, and her own personal story of going through the medical system being undiagnosed with a disease for about 20 years. Finally, after being heard by one of her doctors, the "tide began to turn" in her life.

Amanda shares her thoughts on a small piece of this system issue:  societally, we're taught to be quiet and not to make a noise or cause any issues; and we have to realize it's well within our rights to ask questions.

Amanda recommends before you go into an appointment, write down every single question you have,  ask for clarification, demand that they spend more than seven minutes with you in the.

Our bodies are miraculous "machines." We often know when something doesn't feel right. If you feel you don't know how to convey to your healthcare provider what you feel is going on with your body, take someone with you to the appointment who can advocate for you. Let's face it, it's daunting going into your doctor, or your health practitioner - they're using language you don't understand unless you've been to medical school, and if you're seeing an OB/GYN or other female doctors who focus on female health issues, they use a lot of language that we just don't know and we're not taught.

Amanda discussed how some are fortunate enough to go outside of the system and find naturopaths and other doctors that can treat us in different ways.  She also advocates finding somebody who's more of an Eastern medicine style practitioner, such as an acupuncturist, under certain circumstances.  But it really, unfortunately, is incumbent on us to continue advocating for yourselves, even to the point of saying, "I'm not accepting this because I know my body, and I know how it feels."

We discuss that nowadays people are staying alive longer. So why wouldn't we want to address health and keeping people well rather what we often hear – "No, we're not going to cover this unless you're really showcasing you have something wrong."

Amanda shares an example of if you're looking for doctor that can treat menopause or help you to find the right treatment plan for you, make sure that you have one that specifically states on their website or wherever their office is set up, that they specialize in menopause, perimenopause, or in Amanda's case, it was very important that she found a doctor that understood adenomyosis and endometriosis.  Do your research ahead of time.

Amanda stresses that we all have the ability to make choices that are right for us - intuitively we often know what our bodies are doing. So Amanda challenges those who are listening, to use your voice when you feel that you need to, to advocate for yourself.

LLN Episode #196: Rachel Lavin – Simple Steps To Loving & Honoring Your Body More30 Oct 202300:25:55

She grew up in Northern California and has lived in Hawaii, Vancouver, Washington and Portland, Oregon and New York City. She currently lives in Greenville, South Carolina with her Partner.

In 2000 Rachel began her career as an ACE certified group fitness instructor teaching a plethora of classes such as Aqua Aerobics, Bootcamp, Jazzercise, Dance Aerobics, Stretch and Chair classes. In 2007 she was certified as an ACE Personal Trainer working at big box gyms in NYC and becoming an independent trainer in 2012. Rachel wanted to take her passion for helping people to the next level and became an ACE certified Health Coach in 2018.

In 2020 Rachel wrote her first book "The Doughnut Diaries" about her own struggles with her weight and restrictive diets which lasted for over thirty years.

As Rachel turned 40 the expression, I got sick and tired of being sick and tired hit home and she decided to take her power back and heal from decades of negative thinking and self-sabotage. Rachel began to do the work on my mind, body and soul. Writing her book was her way of sharing my message to women that you are not alone! Now using her book Rachel wants to help people who have had or a still experiencing negative body image. By using what she now refers to as my three pillars of fitness; Nourishment for both the mind and body, Movement & Rest.

"My mission is to create a safe space for all women to feel whole in their own body" – Rachel Lavin

What We Discuss In This Episode:

Rachel shares her personal story of what she went through for the first half of her life with not only just the way she felt about herself, but the way she felt about her body, When she turned 40, she decided she wanted to be happy - just living her life to the fullest.  Rachel took some time, for a lot of self-reflection and dealing with her past.

Rachel shares how ditching that "diet mentality" is something we all need to do. Many of us have forgotten how to trust our body. What does that mean? It's really reintroducing that relationship to your body, knowing your hunger signals are real.  Think of it like this, you don't have to tell your body when it's tired.  It goes to sleep. You don't have to tell your body when to go to the bathroom. If you go to the bathroom, you have signals that tell you what your body needs.  And your hunger is no different. Our stomach growls for a reason. It's trying to let you know it needs some nutritional foods.

Rachel shares her belief that often we're forcing ourselves to eat goods we don't enjoy. She encourages women to broaden their horizons when it comes to food.  She shares how to take note of how we feel when we eat certain foods. Did it disrupt your digestion? Did it make you feel bloated?  Did it make me have a stomachache or headaches or other things you experienced? Once you figure it out, you just don't have to think about it anymore.

Lynne and Rachell tackle the huge issue that we have about how we love ourselves. Maybe you've got a bulging belly because that often comes in midlife or maybe you've got a lot of birth scars. Often, we look at our body and don't like what stares back at us in the mirror. So how do we learn to love ourselves and love our bodies just as they are?

Rachel shares how important it is to start understanding your body is a gift, but you've thought this way for so long that you need to change the narrative.  Rachel shares the steps she took to begin to see her body this way and to love her body again.

Rachel then shares some easy ways to add movement into our life so that we increase our health and wellbeing.

Rachel encourages us to just take a simple, simple step.  Find yourself any color post that you want, something bright and cheery, your favorite color, and just write something about yourself, something that you know that you don't believe.  And say it out loud to yourself for a week and see how you feel.  According to Rachel, you'll see and feel a difference.

LLN Episode #190: Andrea Claasen - Perimenopause And Menopause Through An Ayurvedic Lens02 Oct 202300:30:26

About Andrea Claassen:

What We Discuss in This Episode:

In this episode, we talk about perimenopause and menopause through an Ayurvedic lens.

Andrea shares how we usually look at menopause a little bit differently in the West, whereas Ayurvedic looks at honoring our wisdom and all of the life experiences that we've had.

Andrea explains how we "scope" backwards instead of go forwards. Ayurveda really tries to help you push past.  A lot of that inner work is done there.

There are practices that boost the Ojas - our vital energy. And so going into menopause, we really want to start working on this in the perimenopause years, to have that vital energy flowing and going.  And that might look like honoring the time to rest, especially because we get into those years of our life where we might be go, go, go, go, and then suddenly, we hit this wall and we've lost that energy and that kind of Ojas or that sparkle about us.  And so that's something that we work on building.

There are different foods you can have such as honey. We have this thing called Chyawanprash - kind of like a jam; almonds are actually great for Ojas; milk  tonics are something Andrea recommends as well, which is just heating up some milk on the stove and then putting in herbs depending on what your constitution or dosa needs are, to make it perfect for you.  Dates are also another great Ojas building food. So, all of those are just simple ways that Ayurveda looks at like transitioning from perimenopause to menopause

Lynne mentions how when her mother went through menopause, it was just something you didn't talk about.  There was so much misinformation "out there," and the fact that it seemed "taboo" to talk about it, made it difficult to get accurate information. But, as women, we all go through that phase one way or another. And somehow, we tend to stop living in the present at this point in life while we  should really be honoring & celebrating this time.

Andrea shares that this is where that transitioning and just honoring our life is important. She likes ceremonies, just to honor that, "Hey, is the new phase."  Let's celebrate and honor it.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, what are some of the areas to focus on during menopause?

1)        Sleep. Focusing on sleep hygiene.  What does that look like? Imagine this: "Yep, I can't sleep. I get on my phone out, or I get on a tablet."   So, at 2 a.m. you might not be sleeping, so you get on a device. But that doesn't help you to fall asleep again. Having those phone boundaries, even at night, 2 hours before bed is recommended.  Some people are really TV sensitive as well, so they'll have to get off TV a couple hours before bed.

a)        Have a routine; whether that be meditation at night to calm down the mind, or a little bit of movement.

b)        If you're hot, you might want that cooling breathwork practice to release some of that built up. Google some Ayurvedic cooling practices for the body.

Andrea shares that it's never too early or late to start some practices, so that you can smoothly transition through menopause. For example, PMS. Maybe you have PMS, so we might look at some liver practices, like castor oil packs once a week.  We might look at some diet needs. So, whether it's reducing caffeine, alcohol, dandelion root tea is something that's great.  You know, having oat straw and raspberry leaf tea infusions are something that Andrea likes to give to people who are experiencing intense cramps.

Andrea discusses some Ayurvedic practices for progesterone, as simple as going outside in nature, giving more hugs, having more laughter in your life. Then, to access estrogen, you're going to do those Castor Oil packs watch your caffeine intake or decrease your alcohol intake. Also, think about what you're eating. How is your digestion? If you're not able to digest your food, it's going to get stuck and now the liver is working overtime.

Other areas to look at to help digestion would be to look at the times of day we're eating our meals. Ideally, this also involves eating at least two hours before bed so that when you hit the pillow, your food is digested. And then, again, lighter, meals at night - not having a heavier steak or meat in the evening. If you're going to eat meat, that noon hour is going to be easier for you to digest it.  Andrea recommends that the first thing to start with is to make lunch your biggest meal, and have an earlier, lighter dinner.  She says that works well for people in perimenopause and the menopausal years. That tends to be one of the biggest things where people feel better.  They have more energy.

What are the top 3 things to focus on in menopause from an Ayurvedic perspective?

  1. Sleep
  2. Diet
  3. Lifestyle

Lynne asks Andrea, "What about from an emotional perspective, because we go through so much in those years, is there anything that Ayurveda does to balance that out?"

Andrea shares that we're working on releasing, which could involve a journal practice, plus you can shout out & release.  Andrea likes to take a pillow, slam it down and yell. In yoga classes, she likes to give permission for people just to sigh it out.

Andrea shares one of her biggest tips/words of wisdom

"In Ayurveda, it all starts with what can you digest. So this week pay attention to your digestion and ask yourself, how are you feeling?"

LLN Episode #183: Beatrice Caffrey - Making Nutrition & Fitness Your Biggest Allies In Your 50s And Beyond23 Aug 202300:29:45

About Beatrice Caffrey:

After a long career in the hospitality industry, Beatrice turned her interest to Health, Wellness and Nutrition. Going through perimenopause and then menopause herself, she realized how important lifestyle was to her feeling her best at this stage of her life.

She now helps women navigate this period of their lives through nutrition, fitness and mindset. So often women put their own needs behind those of others - but in order to be of best service to those around us, we must look after ourselves first.

What We Discuss in This Episode:

  • We discuss what Beatrice mentioned about foods and nutrition. As we age, things change for us.  What we could eat before maybe we can't eat now, but what most important foods are there for women when they get to their mid-forties into their fifties?
  • We discuss how protein helps in the rebuilding of cells, of muscles, etc., as well as keeping full -  it takes the body a little bit longer to digest protein.  It's really great to include protein in every single meal.
  • Beatrice mentioned one form of protein for vegans called S-E-I-T-A-N. It actually comes from Japanese and it means from protein.
  • We also discuss "what the deal is" with weight gain in menopause and our tendency to get belly fat where maybe in the past, that wasn't an issue for us.
  • Why does movement play an even bigger role now?
  • We discuss the impact of alcohol on menopause symptoms?
  • Why does mental heath matter and what role does that play as we reach midlife?
  • Beatrice shares her 3 top tips to find out what matters most to you

Dr. Melissa tells us about Hidden Hungers – what are they and what do we need to do about them?

Not believing a willpower, Dr. Melissa shares more about this and what the better approach is.

As a Clinical Psychologist,  Dr. Melissa places a big emphasis on the power of psychology, the brain, and mindset to create changes with overeating. We talk about how this is different from so many other approaches.

Dr. Melissa says, "The first thing that women need to do to create freedom from overeating is to embrace their power."  She shares more about how what we call "diet mentality" has warped our perspective on this.

LLN Episode #174: Sherry Shaban – Fat Loss 101: The Role Of Mindset, Identity And Hormones03 Jul 202300:31:42

About Sherry Shaban:

Montreal-based podcaster, YouTuber and fitness and life coach, Sherry Shaban, is an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), a certified Athletic Therapist, an Osteopath, and the Director of Fitness for Rock Thomas's M1 Mastermind. With over 20 years of experience in her specialty, Sherry has dedicated her life to helping thousands of people transform their Athletic identity to become who they are meant to be through a unique anti-diet, self loving, simple approach.

Sherry believes that our physical body is the direct reflection of our internal environment and that transformation happens from the inside out.

Sherry's passion of helping others through their own health & wellness transformation journey stems from her own trials and tribulations: at the tender age of 16, Sherry was hit by a car, and the outcome of that accident nearly left her paralyzed. She underwent her first back surgery one month before her 17th birthday.  The second surgery in 2012 came at a time when she was just opening her first CrossFit gym in Montreal.  She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance where she discovered she was just 2 millimeters away from paralysis.

Through private coaching, her signature online coaching programs, "Making Peace with Food" and "Advanced PowHer", her YouTube workouts and podcast, Sherry works with a diverse population of Athletes - from beginners to professionals athletes.  She believes that we all have an obstacle - whether it be a struggle with injury, weight, past traumas or limiting beliefs.

"Overcoming the obstacle first starts with changing our belief systems," she says. "If we think we can't, then we will always be right."

Sherry has been featured on various podcast shows such as Stop Stretching with Yogi Aaron, Leader's Lab with Ken Eslick, The Wellness Hour with Dr Amy Novotny, and Mission Matters.

What We Discuss In This Episode:

Sherry shares her powerful journey where for the first few years of being a gym owner, she felt like a phony. She was frustrated with herself, disappointed and angry for being a "victim" of her circumstances, unable to demonstrate a single squat.  But her turning point towards recovery came from understanding that one of the central elements to transformation is to let go of debilitating and self-limiting thoughts, and to begin to rewrite a new story.

Sherry has made it her life mission to help others do the same: releasing self-doubt, create a new belief system and athletic identity, and become the person they are always meant to be.

Sherry refers to her clients as "Athletes," helping them unplug from diet culture and exercise-punishment, and step into a new relationship with their body, mind and environment.  She helps her Athletes view food as fuel for performance, recovery and transformation and their training as a lifestyle ritual that becomes a basis of the Athletic mindset.

We discuss "Fat Loss 101", which is a big thing for women in perimenopause, even postmenopausal. Mindset definitely plays a role. Sherry loves this topic as she's often asked, "How do you eat? How do you count your calories? What are your macros? Or what are your what is your exercise?" Sherry is an intuitive eater, an intuitive mover, and an intuitive exerciser. When we're focused on diet, and especially if we're following an app or we're following a particular handout that our nutritionist gave us, we're bypassing the body's natural intuitive cues as to when we should eat, how much we should eat, and when we should stop eating.

In North America and in Western societies where we have the most abundance of foods, and we have the most abundance and information -- and the most abundance of different types of diet, it's interesting that we're the ones struggling the most with disease. We're the ones who are struggling the most with overweight and with health. Why is that? Because we are so confused.

Fat Loss 101 has to start with releasing diets because diets don't work. What does work, though, is starting to add habits that align with your lifestyle that you can find them sustainable over time. With a diet mentality, we usually have the mindset of, "Oh, I can't have cake this week, because I'm on a diet," or  you go to a barbecue, and it's "I can't have that glass of wine, or I can't have a  second helping of food because I'm sticking to the macros on my app." Whenever we say the word can't in our mind, what we're really saying is that we want it, but we're not allowing ourselves to have it.  So, ditch diets & start to incorporate habits that are sustainable.

Sherry says one of the best habits, that is really the gift that keeps on giving, is walking. All you need is a pair of shoes, you go outside, you connect with nature, you disconnect with the electronics, everything else at home. And as you're walking as you're moving, it is such a low intensity movement, that it's not going to stress the joints, and it's going to just give you pleasure.

We also talk about hormones – the two most important hormones relating to weight are insulin and cortisol. Sherry shares what they are, what they do, and the impact on our lives if they're out of balance.

Also, when we're stressed, it's hard to fall asleep, or when we've watched a movie or watch news that's extremely disturbing, it starts to impact the rest of our day and gets in the way of our sleep. When we sacrifice our sleep, and we don't get proper rest and restful sleep, what ends up happening is we start to deeply even imbalanced the hormones and start on that vicious cycle of cravings and hunger.

We touched on intermittent fasting – a huge topic in the health and wellness space right now -- and how we can receive benefits from intermittent fasting in as little as 12 hours.
