Just when I think there could not be anything I haven't answered already, you show up with new questions! And I love it!

Let's tackle a few questions submitted by homeschool moms, just like you. These topics cover homeschooling a strong-willed child, how many children to have, and broaching the discussion with your doctor about homeschooling.

The one constant in life is that it will change. And one day, you will find yourself at the end of your homeschool years and wonder what is next.

It can suddenly sneak up on you, mostly because homeschool moms should be die-hard until the end, pouring their heart into it until the very last day. I've heard from moms who were caught off guard by this sudden shift. And I don't want you to feel like the rug was pulled out from under you.

Whether you are in year one, the middle of your homeschool career, or about to graduate your final teen in a few months, my hope is that this episode gives you hope and equips you to step into the next season with peace.

Warm up that cup of coffee again and let's chat!

All the time and effort you put into homeschooling and you probably wonder if what you're doing is worth it. What will your children say someday about these days and years once they have graduated?

Today, I am offering a rare glimpse into some feedback that I received from my graduated homeschoolers. Like you, I questioned what I was doing and if they would even appreciate it someday.

I hope today's episode gives you a little peek into your future, a few ideas, and a little more steam to keep on going.

It's so easy to get caught up in all the things you think you need to do in your homeschool with young children. Often, that is influenced by what school is doing. But, what if the basics are actually the foundation for the success in future academics?

Jennifer Pepito of The Peaceful Press is sharing what you really need to focus on in today's episode. She's using her extensive experience, along with studies that show what young children really need in their homeschool.

And it's nothing complicated or overwhelming. It really comes down to focusing on the basics and Jennifer will share what those are and how to actually accomplish this.

Every day is full of choices on how to spend your time as a homeschool mom. Some lead to positive outcomes. Some to what appears to be benign results. And others don't add anything good to your days.

After all the years of raising babies up through young adults, I know what it's like to want days that overall are just better. I've tried all the things, but mastering specific times in my day has had the biggest impact on our homeschool days.

You'd think that it was the curriculum or the amazing educational resources that you use that determines a day. Yes, those can add good things. But, let me share what will move the needle forward much faster and help you to accomplish those good homeschool goals.

Grab a pen and paper because I have a few things you'll want to jot down!

You've heard that it's a good idea to teach your homeschool children character. And you're convinced that it will be a good use of your time. But, where do you start?

Today's guest, Marilyn Boyer, from Character Concepts has been helping parents instill character traits and qualities into homeschooled children for years. And she has combined that with her love of history and storytelling to help show your children what character looks like through the lives of historical figures.

Marilyn and her husband began homeschooling before it was technically legal and quickly found that success in academics and relationships came from sharing God and the character He desires to grow in us.  Let's do the same in your family!

Calling all homeschool mom's who have been met with resistance when teaching a child writing skills! I know you've got your hand raised on that one. And if you don't, well, maybe give it a little more time. Lol!

But for those of you who have had one too many writing lessons end in tears, I know how you feel. Through my years of homeschooling multiple children, I've encountered many different situations.

Today's episode shares some "secrets" I've learned, along with permission to trust the process and your children more than you think you can.

I am excited about how these ideas will give new life to your homeschool!

Most of homeschool is done within the confines of our own homes and families. But, it sure feels good to know that you are not alone. And not only that, but you have people who will have your back and are there to support you.

Having homeschool friends and community is such a blessing. It truly can be a gift. And it should be those things and not a burden or unnecessary drama. That's where finding like-minded families is key.

But where are they hiding?

I have a few tips to help you meet and create some beautiful friendships!

Questioning your ability to homeschool probably happens often. Maybe on a weekly basis. Possibly even daily.

You've taken on what is seen as a unique responsibility in our culture. Everyone else just puts their kids on the bus or joins the carpool line and they just assume that their children will be educated properly.

But, homeschooling is different because the entire 360 degree view of life is included and you often wonder if things are going well and if you're on the right track.

I have 3 easy ways to take the temperature of your homeschool. Listen in for these and then measure your own homeschool against it. But, have no fear! There is always a solution to get you on the right track!

If you've heard it once, you've heard it a million times...or close to that number. But, how do we respond within Christian circles to the scrutiny against homeschooling? Is there any evidence to back-up what we're seeing within the four walls of our own homes?

Israel Wayne, of Family Renewal, has been educating home educators for decades. He combines his knowledge of Scripture with the actual data, along with his lived experience to equip homeschool parents to disciple their children. Not only that, but he seeks to provide you with data and evidence to graciously, but confidently refute arguments against homeschooling.

There are two main claims that Christians will often use against homeschooling. He refutes both of those, along with telling us why so many Christian parents refuse to homeschool their children.

This episode will be such an encouragement as you carry out the call God has on your life!

One of the most common challenges homeschooling families face is what to do with preschoolers while focusing on older children’s lessons.

Whether you have a toddler who’s still learning how to sit still, or a preschooler who’s ready to explore, there are a few practical strategies to keep them engaged, entertained, and learning—without disrupting your homeschool flow.

But, there is so much we can learn from and in the years with a little one who is full of enthusiasm that we shouldn't miss out on!

Life easily gets full and our to-do list gets long. And for the homeschool mom, there is the added pressure to fully educate the children. How in the world can it all get done?

When I'm feeling overwhelmed, I like to ask myself a few questions. First, it calms me down. But then, it gives me clarity to carry out the calling upon my life.

Are you feeling overwhelmed too?

Grab your notebook or journal to take a few notes. At the very least, write down these 5 questions and areas that will help you figure out how to run your days and accomplish what you need to.

Most of homeschool advice you get focuses on five days a week. You know, Monday through Friday. Those are the days and hours we tend to single out as the most important because we're covering our academics.

But, there are two days a week that we can easily squander away and let our intentionality slip. Sure, we should have times of rest. But rest is not the same as wasting time.

What if you could step out of a weekend and into Monday feeling accomplished and filled up because you did the best thing possible? I want that for you!

Listen in to today's episode to help you craft the best weekend for your family.

Picking out and using curriculum in homeschool is a lot of fun. And it should be! But, there is so much more to these years than the lessons.

Whether it's pressure from your homeschool state regulations, your own school experience, or voices of family and friends, most of the focus is on creating the modern school system within your home. The methodology and mindset creeps in easily.

But what if homeschool was about something much more than lessons, multiplication tables, essays, and transcripts? That would mean you are missing out on something huge if you only focus on those.

Let's bust the notion that homeschool needs to be solely about subjects and what lessons were accomplished this week. Today is your day to begin a reset of your homeschool!

Between homeschool requirements and the fun resources you have found, it's hard to fit it all in. Throw on top of that in the back of your mind, you have a running thought that is making you feel guilty for not doing Bible reading with your children. Or maybe you do include it, but you're just doing it to check off a box.

Sound familiar?

Let's discuss what the solution is to this dilemma and I'm going to share what Bible time can actually look like for your homeschool family.

Together, let's shed the guilt and look more rightly at why teaching the Bible to your children is so important.

As a homeschool mom, your to-do list is longer than the average normal person. And your heart is so invested in moving your family forward, all while meeting all their needs.

Does it take Super Woman to get things done? Not really. But, it does require a plan and outline for the day.

You've probably heard of time blocks, but those are usually focused on the business world. Could it actually work for a homeschool mom?

Yes!

And today, I'm going to lay out the major time blocks for a homeschool mom's day so you can get the lessons all done, meals served, naps taken, chores accomplished, and so on.

The truth is that someday, your children will be grown and will leave home. It's not a pleasant thought in the midst of the long full days of homeschooling. But, it comes anyway.

And after all of these years with your homeschool children in your home, what is life like for mom afterwards?

Over the past few years, I've been in this season of life. My kids are launching, sometimes coming back home for a season, and living their young adult lives no longer under the direction of their mother.

I'm going to be brutally honest about my experience in today's episode. There were a few hidden realities that no one prepared me for that I want to share with you.

My hope this that you feel equipped to someday (or now) walk through the season of your children growing up with grace and peace...and a deep satisfaction that the homeschool years were well worth it.

Gone are the days of homeschooling being a purely academic approach. When you consider what the Bible says about children, current research, observations, and critically looking at where school has failed, you can forge a better path.

Elisha and Katie Voetberg of Now That We're A Family have been doing just that with their family. Both were raised with a Biblical worldview and are intentional about how they parent their five (almost six!) children.

Today's episode will inspire you to no longer compartmentalize your home education, but rather to tie in your unique family culture. Elisha and Katie will draw on their own experience to give you ideas and tools for the next steps in adding new life to your family and homeschool.

Among the many questions and fears that homeschool parents worry about, the question of whether their child is behind tops the list.

One of the top reasons that moms are scared to homeschool is that she doesn't know how to teach her children of different ages and gender. She looks at the school system and it makes sense to separate children, at least by age. But, looking at her every day is a mixture of boys and girls and various ages.

Instead of seeing this as a negative, homeschool moms can actually provide an amazing education based upon the uniqueness of a family.

Do you feel intimated or overwhelmed with homeschooling your boys and girls? I felt the same way, but learned through the years how to optimize this instead of being anxious about it.

Grab a notebook and get ready to make some really great changes to your homeschool!

Every child has been created by God with a uniqueness, but there tends to be a few overarching themes when they are separated by gender.

It can become easy to be frustrated with boy behavior. They tend to puzzle us as homeschoool moms. But, what if instead of seeing what they do as an annoyance, we look at it differently?

Today, I am sharing my top tips that I've learned and employed as a homeschool mom to grow my boys into young men and not just merely survive, but to thrive as their mother.

Find a few moments of quiet or put on those noise canceling headphones and get ready to look at your boys differently after this episode.

Simplicity is calling your name. And you'd rather get really good at a few subjects and topics than try to cover everything.

Let's link arms and pare down the list to make it more manageable. And we'll let the cherry on top be the idea of thinking outside the box because not every area of study can fit neatly in a box...or time block.

No one starts something with the intention of quitting. And that especially applies towards parents making decisions about their children. Of course, homeschooling is included in that!

So, if no one plans to quit, why are there numbers of families doing just that? Could your family be next?

Over the past decade, I've observed a few trends and one of them is the when, who, and why behind walking away from homeschooling. I thought that this should be brought to light and openly discussed so that you can combat this possibility on a personal level.

Let's break it down and see what exactly leads to quitting, but then I've got hope for you to stay the course...I promise not to leave you hanging with bad news!

I haven't met a homeschool mom yet who doesn't desire joy in her homeschool. But how do you obtain and maintain that joy as you home educate your children?

Today's guest, Leslie Martino, is here to help you to find that joy, even in the midst of consistent change as you raise your children. She sees that homeschool can be accomplished in a slower manner that allows for balance and wonder.

I promise that you are going to love this episode, so get cozy and settle in for some encouragement and a few mic drop moments!
