S1 E28 - Rising Above the Densities: Manifestation, Boundaries & an Attraction‑Based Universe - Manifesting Miracles 

Host: Jan Engels-Smith

This episode opens with an invocation to rise above daily "densities" into a protected space of purity—love, truth, beauty, healing, and community—and flows into a rich conversation on practical manifestation. Listeners share lived examples while Jan and Amber Jane unpack why feelings (not just thoughts) drive results in an attraction‑based universe, how to create energetic boundaries, and what it really means to be a match for what you want.

• Safe & Sacred Space: Begin by elevating out of worry, doubt, and mental noise into a protected circle—only the divine, benevolent energies have access.

• What Are "Densities"?: The lower‑frequency patterns (internal and external) that distort our perception and mute our magnificence.

• Let Go Without Collapse: Non‑attachment isn't apathy—hold your vision, release tight grip, and stay in trust (gratitude when it arrives, grace when timing reshuffles).

• Energetic Boundaries & Empathy: Highly sensitive folks can learn to discern "mine vs. not mine," return what isn't theirs, and ground excess energy through nature and somatic practices.

• Journaling as Intention Architecture: Turn thousands of random thoughts into a clear, concise request.

• Pre‑Create the Scene: Visualize the outcome and bathe it in feelings—gratitude, appreciation, relief, joy.

• Mantra for Openness: "This or something better."

• Airtime Check: Notice which emotions get the most broadcast in your day.

• Boundary Cue: "Anything not mine in this moment, I return to where it came from."

• Grounding: Touch earth, hold a plant, or walk barefoot—ask nature to transmute excess energy.

• Know Your True‑Self Frequency: Meditate on how you feel at your essence (often easiest to remember from childhood moments of freedom).

• Celebrate Evidence: When something manifests, anchor it with gratitude to reinforce the pattern.

• "Whatever gets the most airtime wins."

• "You can't trick the universe—feeling overrides the words."

• "Be a match for what you want."

• "Non‑attachment lets timing reshuffle without collapsing your faith."

Try the "airtime check" today: for five minutes, jot which emotions you're broadcasting most often. Choose one desired outcome, pre‑create the scene, and flood it with gratitude. Close by returning any energy that isn't yours and grounding with nature.

In this episode of the LightSong School of 21st Century Shamanism Podcast, Jan Engels-Smith is interviewed by David Newell of Inner Truth.  A broadcast and show out of the UK.  

What is shamanism and how is it useful to us in day-to-day life? Are there other realms we can journey to and experience? Has science disproved or given further evidence to support this ancient practice?

These are some of the questions I put to Jan Engels-Smith, a shamanic practitioner and the founder of the LightSong School of 21st Century Shamanism and Energy Medicine where she teaches shamanism and journeying techniques.

Central to Jan's work is the philosophy that shamanism is not the preserve of a gifted few seers or just for indigenous cultures to practice but that we all have the capacity to cultivate a shamanic skillset through journeying and practices that help move us from left brain focus into right-brain experience.

In her book, Through the Rabbit Hole, Jan talks about dominance of left-brained thinking in our culture and in particular the limiting belief that all we see is all there is. This belief keeps our imagination and our other subtler senses locked away from the wider world around us. Opening up our minds to other realms and possibilities connects us in new ways to the universe.

You might think scientific findings would be at odds with a shamanic perspective of life but actually there's more correlation than you would first imagine. Relatively theory and quantum mechanics indicate there is a vast amount of the universe not observable to the human eye, indeed almost all of it is dark matter and dark energy. Within that, it's already been shown for some time that our consciousness has a direct impact on the world around us, a phenomenon known more widely as the observer effect and something that has been espoused in shamanism for millennia.

With this level of cross-over though, shamanism still remains a niche activity in popular culture today. I caught up with Jan to talk about what has happened to shamanism in the West, the ways it can help cultivate a relationship with spirit and mostly importantly help us find greater fulfillment and peace in life.
