| 57. Pantheons of the Classical World | 03 Sep 2026 | 01:21:44 | |
Alexander the Great spread the Greek religion throughout the Mediterranean and into ancient Babylon and Persia. Then the Romans stole their religion when they conquered the Greeks. And for that we named the planets of our solar system after their gods. What's the big deal with these gods anyway? | 56. Pantheons of the Ancient World (Egypt and Bablyon) | 27 Aug 2026 | 01:21:37
Ancient Egypt and Babylon: two peas in a pod. They traded, they collaborated, they fought sometimes. They also shared some mythological inspiration. Josh and Nick take a deep dive into these pantheons to look at how the divines have evolved in Palladium up to this point (1994) and what exactly draws these super beings to Earth in the first place, especially in the past when magic wasn't as strong. | 41. Gathering of Heroes | 14 May 2026 | 01:20:23
We're joined again by Nick today to discuss playing a Gathering of Heroes campaign. What sort of prep should you do, and what kind of character should bring? We took the Gathering of Heroes campaign in World Book 4 and punched it up to the next level with a four act structure and lots of opportunities for the players to see how their choices are having an impact on their world as they play through it. Here's a link to the handout you can give your players at the beginning of this campaign if you'd like to use it. n earlier version of this episode had an audio editing error which made the intro fiction difficult to hear. This is the fixed version. A sad but epic end to our Mechanoid story arc in our fiction today. It's also a great episode about playing a campaign against the Mechanoids, specifically from the Coalition side of things. Tattoo magic is a great way to keep your special bodies stuck to your body, even if you lose your equipment. And stone magic is... well... a great way to interact with stones. Happy Holidays from Ley Lines and Lore! I almost didn't put out an episode this week. But I knew you'd want some holiday cheer in your feeds. So I decided to pull back the curtain on a little bit on what I am working on for 2026, Patreon plans, and how I make the podcast. It's a bit shorter than usual, but I think it's better than getting a drop of an episode you may have already heard. I hope you are able to get some rest and spend time with loved ones this holiday season. We'll be back next week with a brand new episode!
