Let's Talk About... Self-Harm (Episode 167)19 Feb 202300:28:14

One of the toughest conversations about mental health involves the ways in which our self harming behaviour can have an enormous negative impact on our state of mind. Self harm isn’t just limited to physical forms; it’s anything you do to yourself to either intentionally harm yourself or which you know is harmful but you do it anyway (such as when your anxiety coping skills are actually unhealthy and end up harming your wellbeing; for example: excessive drinking, risk-taking, or substance abuse).

In this episode I’ll be talking about various types of self harm, looking at the ways you’re self harming and sharing practical self harm advice, as well as helping you to build your mental health awareness with greater knowledge about why we harm ourselves and what to do about it.
