Harley-Davidson just unveiled their latest and greatest in the 2024 model year. This was a big year to say the least. The most popular motorcycles in the touring family, the Road Glide and Street Glide, received a huge make over. The Model offering has been simplified by reduced the offering on these two bikes from six down to two. We have the new body style that was first introduced last year on the CVOs. The engine is a 117 Ci Milwaukee-Eight that received new water cooled heads and a new intake increasing power slightly. New suspension and infotainment are also new, key features being introduced. The star of the show was the CVO Road Glide ST which is a new model that we have never seen before. This CVO capitalized on the Performance Bagger movement and takes a lot of it's DNA from the King of the Baggers race bikes. Matt Laidlaw goes over a lot of the details that weren't included in the show.

The 2024 Low Rider S arrived early this year. One of several motorcycles that Harley-Davidson decided to ship out before the typical January model launch. The Low Rider S comes in a Billiard Gray as the new BASE color that now replaces the vivid black. The vivid black is still available but at a $350 premium as it is no longer the base color. The Low Rider S remains H-D's flagship performance cruiser and continues to be extremely popular since the 2016 model year when we first saw it. In 2022 the Low Rider S received part of the "Further Faster" upgrades which remain some of the highlights in the 2024 model years as well. Things like the 117 CI Milwaukee-Eight engine, taller rear shocks, race inspired gauges, etc. Matt and Nick of Laidlaw's H-D go into all the details on the 2024 Low Rider S.

During Harley-Davidson's official model launch in January they only unveiled one CVO for the 2023 lineup. Typically we see 3-4 CVOs every year and so there was huge void left. Fast-forward to June and H-D drops a teaser for what will be one of the biggest single-year advancements in CVO history. The touring chassis CVO's, Road Glide and Street Glide, have a completely redesigned body style along with a beefed up 121 CI Milwaukee-Eight engine.
Matt and Nick dive into 2023 CVOs and dissect the roll out of these new bikes. They also explore what exactly makes CVOs so special and other ideas that Harley-Davidson could leverage.

We are at a significant turning point in the history of Harley-Davidson. After 65 years of the Sportster being in production H-D has now started to phase out the beloved air-cooled evolution engine after 37 years of it being the power plant for the family. We have now seen the two newest Sportster models bult on Harley's newest platform, the Revolution Max. This moves completely changes the Sportster in everyway. Harley-Davidson definitely put the "Sport" back in the Sportster family with this new liquid-cooled engine. Along with a whole catalog of upgrades including better brakes, lighter chassis, better suspension, Electronic rider aids, etc. But by doing this is H-D compromising the mechanical character of one of their most popular motorcycles?
